We have a watch folder set up to encode videos when we move video clips into it.Usually after the clip is placed into the "Watch" Folder the encoding begins and the completed clip is placed in a folder named "Output" and the origanal clip is moved into a folder named "Source".Now the origanal clip stays in the folder it where it was first placed and nothing is in the "Source" folder and the completed clip is placed in a folder named "Output".The problem is that the encoding process will start again the next time Encoder is run, as the clip is still in the "Watch" folder.Adobe Media Encoder 2024V. 42.3 (Build 49)
Hi CC,I installed updates to various apps in my creative cloud this morning. Media Encoder CC refuses to open. I have uninstalled and re-installed 3 times according to instructions in the forums. Adobe Encoder has encountered an unexpected error and cannot continue. Can you tell me if there are problems with this installer? I have to explain this to my employer. Thanks - PeteHigh Sierra 10.13.4
I have a very recurring problem, from time to time the media encoder does not finish completing the render, it always takes a second to finish, it stays for hours without moving, until I stop it and try again with the same result. I clear cache, restart, I have updated all Adobe apps, video drivers and it always happens, no matter the format, h264, avi, quicktime.Windows 11, 32Gb ram, 4060 TI 16Gb, Ryzen 7 5700X, AME 24.3. any ideas please

For the longest time I've been using Media Encoder and the YouTube settings to upload my content automatically. Well all of a sudden it just stopped working. It say's I'm logged in but when I go to export and upload the media exports fine but errors out on the upload saying I'm not logged in. I've tried everything I can think of. From signing out of YouTube and restarting my system but the login still appears. I've removed every single custom export setting, completely removed Premiere, Media Encoder and After Effects. Then rebooting and reinstalling, to no avail the youtube login still remains. Please some one give me some advise, I've literally tried everything I can think of besides creating a completely new user profile and starting from scratch with I'd really like to avoid. Thank you! Looking to get some help from the pros. I generally like using H.264 to export my files out for viewing. They tend to be pretty widely accepted and most people can watch it. I do have one problem when I export them through Media Encoder the files are very big. I recently finished a simple video of about 7mins that came in at almost 500mb. To me, this seems very big and it is no way convenient for web viewing as the file is just too large. What can I do or what setting should I be using to make this more accessible to people online. Thanks for the help in advance.
Hi,I continue to study this wonderful conversion tool. But I'm confused that I can't find a way to not recode the audio or video stream, but just add it unchanged. This feature is available in a lot of free tools and probably in this advanced one, but I can't find it. Is there any clue?Thank you
Is it possible to make media encoder remember presents and save locations? When I export from Premere Pro, it always reverts to a basic setting, and never the custom saved preset.Plus the export won't remember the last locations I want to save to. I have to keep navigating back through folders. Nomally when I am on a project I only save back to the same folder. This would really speed thing up for me. Thank youJulian
Exports fail if I try overwriting a previous export, export only works if I turn on "increment output filename," but I don't want to do that. I used to be able to overwrite exports. Workstation:2021 MacBook Pro 16in, M1 Max, 32core GPU, 64GB memory
OS: Windows 11RAM: 128GBAE: Version 23.0.0 (Build 59)AME: Version 23.0 (Build 57) I render a lot of exr sequences and I have a project where the client wants me to render roughly 150 comps at the same time. I would like to use AME for this. Here's what I am encountering. I have a watch folder and drop my projects in. All of the exr sequences get rendered to the same massive folder - no subfolders. Creating a file management nightmare for delivery. In AE I have the option to "Save in Subfolder" (output to). Can I do this in AME? Second issue is my client wants the renders to start at frame 1 even though the metadata timecode will match the edit. In AE I have the option "Starting #: _" (Output Module) where I can set to 1 and the files will be named "comp_001.exr" "comp_002.exr" and so on. AME always starts the file sequence at 000 and I can't find a way to change that. It would be very useful if there is a work-around that doesn't involve me manually setting the dire
Hi,I waited a long time and was lazy to write this, believing that this feature would appear soon. If I have a file and I just want to replace the sound in it without opening Adobe Premiere, then I don't have that option right now. I ask you to add this in new versions along with the function to copy any track without transcoding, as I wrote earlier. So far, I have to use a lot of additional tools to do the work that could be done in one program.Thank you
I do all my editing on my primary system, then save the project file to a folder on Dropbox. A remote computer running Media Encoder has that folder setup as a Watch folder to automatically pickup and export the sequences in a project. A number of computers will save projects to that folder and it is supposed to just truck through them, as headless a possible. At some point we'll notice that projects have stopped rendering and when checking the machine Adobe Media encoder has frozen, and there's a system warning to force quit apps because the computer is out of memory. It's been a relatively consistent issue, but moreso lately. After force quitting Media Encoder and re-opening it, it picks up with any files that hadn't finished, and goes on it merry little way until it runs out of memory again. The files that it got stuck on proceed through without issue, so it's not centered on the projects or footage themselves, it seems that Media encoder isn't releasing the the memory it uses when pr
I've done some searching for an answer to this question but get a lot of old posts and no clear answers. I'm using AME CC 2017.I saved a queue of a couple dozen files each with 3 presets to render to. Now I need to make some changes to the videos and need to re-render the videos. How do I locate and open the saved queue? It appears there is no option for that - like opening a recently saved file. What happened to the saved queue? Some posts say it is a batch.xml file that is overwritten. Then why give the option to save? What am I missing - or do I have to go back and recreate the queue each time which would be a tedious time wasting task? Hopefully there is an easy if not obvious solution.

Hello,This is an older problem as described in this posthttps://community.adobe.com/t5/adobe-media-encoder-discussions/estimated-file-size-issue/m-p/9412143#M4318But the bug itself if that when the Metadata option is set to ""create sidecar file" in the export settings box in Media Encoder the program still writes the Metadata INSIDE the file. The other 2 options that are always greyed out are write Embed in Output File and Create sidecar AND Embed in Out file. This is s H264 file that we are talking about. Media Encoder 23 and the latest 24 both behave the same. Thanks. The only option is to turn it off.Turning it off also solves that dreaded size bloating of the file which took me couple of hours today to figure out.
I tried adding effects to a video edited with cuts in Premiere Pro using AfterEffects. When I attempted to export a composition of approximately 480 seconds (1920*1080) using Media Encoder (2024), it took about 30 minutes and stopped at "Remaining: 00:00:00".The destination folder contains the audio and video data before merging:00_render_480sec_fullHD.22384.15580.aac00_render_480sec_fullHD.22384.15580.m4v00_render_480sec_fullHD.22384.15580.m4v.md0When I press "Escape" in Media Encoder, the above files are automatically deleted.I am successfully able to export other compositions within the same file without any issues. Is there any solution to this issue? 00_render_480sec_fullHD.22384.15580.aac00_render_480sec_fullHD.22384.15580.m4v00_render_480sec_fullHD.22384.15580.m4v.md0Media Encoder で「Escape」をすると、上記ファイルは自動で消去
After using Media Ecoder for a couple of years to create proxy files I now cannot get it to add my watermark. I'm using ME version 23.1 (Build 81) on a Apple Silicon MacBook Pro. All permissions are fine. I have tried resizing the watermark file, repositioning it in the frame and I have tried various file formats (other than the usual png) but no matter what I do ME will not add the watermark. I have tried the watermark file in various folders (just in case there is a permissions glitche). Nothing works.
I decided to leap out of Beta and back into the regular versions of PP and ME.In my very first operation I asked PP to send stuff to ME to create proxies. All seemed weel. I set up a very small set of interviews which, based on past history, should have taken about 1 hour to create proxies.I went to bed and returned this morning (almost 7 hours later) to find it still working on them. I encountered this issue before where ME just gets slower and slower and slower the more it keeps encoding.I posted about it and eventually it was fixed. Well, it seems to be back. J'utilise after 24.3, mediat 24.3.
So, I tried everything that the community said, but nothing can fix this. So in After Effects I see one color, and when I go to Media Encoder, same color... but the final step (render), doesnt seem the same color I saw. Someone can help me?
I want to use Partial Disclosure in Media Encoder which he has got in Vimeo but this feature is not under the presets of Adobe Media Encoder
I was just reading aobut the FFV1/MKV codec, now considered by the Library of Congress as one of its preferred archival formats. Any chance of seeing that as an export/import codec in the near future?
I am transcoding a video captured from a DV tape on an avi file (no compression (13G/hour)). The original video plays fine on windows media player, vlc. No matter what options I choose in adobe media encoder, the resulting audio is either distorted (high pitch chipmunk like) or missing. I chose several of the standard profiles with the same result. I have an old copy of windows movie maker and it is able to produce good quality audio.Anyone have recommendations on what my issue is? Thanks,
I'm using the latest version of Media Encoder on Windows 11, and I have saved a few presets, but so far they are never in my User Presets list as they used to be. Does anyone know how to fix this, or are they listed somewhere else now? Thanks!
