Adobe Premiere

Maybe I'm missing something, but since updating, the only way I'm able to change font size is using a slider which has no numerical values. I have projects that rely on specific font sizes that I use, so I need to be able to see the numerical values. Please tell me where I can find that info.

This is never going to be resolved until they actually update what is wrong. So I just ahve this to say: NEVER EVER EVER EVER UPDATE YOUR ADOBE PRODUCTS WHEN THEY FIRST COME OUT. PERIOD. YOU WILL REGRET IT. On to the rest of the post:Having weird, going to call it "lag" issues? I hope I can explain it better below. When I am editing my videos, for some reason now the time line cursor will stop (I uploaded an image to show below, just in case I am not using the correct terminology). The video keeps playing. Then the cursor will jump to the time on the timeline and then stop again. Then it will continue to do it, it will stop for 3-5 seconds, then jump to the correct location. It is very difficult to edit when you glance down at the cursor line thing in your timeline only to see it lagged or sitting at the wrong place in the video edit and you have to stop the video for it to "catch up." Now before you say it is the files and the size, wtc, I wanted to remind you

After you work on the timeline and go to the export tab (Range: Source In/Out), if the project window is active instead of sequence, Premiere Pro 2026 exports from the original material. So no edits are included in the export. We tried this both on Mac and Pc. Mac doesn’t have such an issue but Pc does. I haven’t faced any similar issues in Premiere 2025 or before.

Hello, I have been trying to export a video clip as a GIF that will automatically loop when opened with a web browser or uploaded to social media or Youtube. I can't seem to get the loop part of the GIF to work, and I can't find a check box or something that will enable that as an option. I have resorted to just exporting my short video clips as regular video, then uploading to a 3rd party GIF creator online.  Is there a way to create looping GIFs straight out of Premiere? If not, I feel like this should just be a checkbox setting (loop or not loop). Thank you for your help. S

In cs5 i think you could just open a new project and go into advanced settings and change the frame size but in adobe premiere pro cc you can't?

I made the mistake of opening an older version of a project file while my Production was open, and Premiere got into a weird state where it went to the opening screen when you launch the app, and I couldn't move past it so I had to force quite. When I relaunched Premiere, the Production seemed to revert to a version from sometime yesterday. This despite the fact that I obsessively save every five minutes, and I had last closed and fully saved the Production around midnight yesterday. I checked autosave and of the two bins that contained the cuts I've been working on, one I was able to find a copy from fifteen minutes earlier, but the other bin hadn't autosaved since yesterday at 8:30pm. Is there another way to recover this Project file? I am of course on a tight deadline and dread losing almost a day's worth of work. Thanks!

I’m trying to composite graphics footage created in After Effects in a premier timeline and I’m getting horrible ghosting effects on my graphics. I’ve tried rendering with straight and premultiplied alpha channels but it's still horrible so much so our client picked up on it. The files are rendered out as ProRes 4444. Any ideas would be welcome. 

The new masking method is absolute garbage. I can’t even change the size of an oval mask and keep it relative. My shape has 4 bezier curves now which mess with the entire oval shape. I want to mask my subject with an oval mask and just resize the oval. But if I touch any of these points it messes up the entire mask shape.  What goober designed this? Thinking of moving to Capcut. Every upgrade gets worse with Adobe. Two months ago my 2nd monitor output stopped working. They acknowledged it was an issue but are too lazy to fix it. 

Hello! I am trying to load the official "Blackmagic Gen 5 Film to Extended Video.cube" LUT into premiere pro and I'm getting an "unable to load selected file" error. I pulled the LUT directly from Davinci Resolve's LUT folder. I've tried loading it through the creative and basic correction tabs of Lumetri and I get the same error each time, see attached screenshot. All of my other LUTS load fine. I tried contacting Blackmagic and they just told me to contact Adobe. I'm using premiere pro 2020. Has anyone encountered this problem?

Up until today my workflow was as follows: Download source footage from overseas videographer on Frame.io AND download a “proxy lowest” vesrion of the same files; Import Full res into Premiere; Link proxiesusing the Frame.io low res versions.Today I got an error message saying proxy media and full resolution media must have matching audio channels. Preventing me from linking the two.These proxies have no audio and the full res files have 4 separate audio channels. But until today it wasn’t an issue. I edit on a windows laptop and it takes forever for me to encode proxies from 4K LOG 10bit footage so this was an absolute life saver…Any luck from someone that is using a smilar workflow and might know a fix?

I’m not having the wonderful experience with the new color management i expect. I thought it was a feature of my Intel MacBook Pro and its GPU but it seems others are having this problem. If I apply a Lumetri creative LUT and i’m in an Aces color space timeline I get a weird solarised effect. This happens if I select Aces or Rec 709 in the color space box. So i’m assuming the LUTs are not designed for Aces color space. So is there a work around for this ? There should be a way to block or grey out the Rec 709 LUTs so they cant be used if that’s the reason.Or can the LUT be applied on export to Rec709 ? Is there a plan to tackle this problem in a future release ?Thanks Jonathan

Last week, I accidentally allowed an upgrade to proceed, assuming there wouldn’t be any major problems. That was a mistake. Constant crashes, clips disappearing without reason, ridiculously laggy preview scrolling, and processing that stutters for no apparent reason. I’m having the worst experience I’ve ever had. I tried updating Premiere Pro, resetting presets, and clearing the media cache, but nothing helped. I wanted to downgrade, but too many processes have been completed since the update, and there’s a huge amount of data to back up, so I just don’t have the time. It was my mistake to carelessly allow the OS update, but the repercussions have been massive. If anyone reading this is considering upgrading their OS, absolutely DON'T do it right now.

How do I revert to the old mask tool in the new 2026 update without having to roll back? I really don’t like it I’m sorry to say. 

Hi,Starting this week when I send items to the render queue or try to create a proxy from within Premiere Pro nothing shows up in Media Encoder.Media Encoder opens and the dialogues in Premiere all show up as expected but nothing is added to the queue.However from After Effects selecting Export > Add to Adobe Media Encoder Queue... the selected composition is added to the the queue.I can add to the queue directly from AME by Adding Source or Adding Premiere Pro Sequence, I just can't add to the queue, either as an export or create proxies, from within Premiere Pro.This is very frustrating. The only thing I've found in these forums which seems to describe my issue says, 'after a time it fixed itself' which is extremely unhelpful.I've tried clearing all the caches, uninstalling (from the CC app) individual applications, restarting, and reinstalling. I've tried uninstalling the whole CC suite and reinstalling, to no avail.If anyone has any ideas I'd welcome them,Thanks.VersionsAdobe Me

Hey everyone,ive been trying to export an embbeded AAF file to my sound designer, however whenever i run the export process i keep getting this error message:"Cannot embed audio source "File path" because an error occurred when writing essence data. Premiere ASL error number: -2147286767." so far ive tried:1) Render and Replace all the audio on the timeline2) transcode each channel seperately into WAV3) remove transitions and effects or render with audio clip effects4) exporting with complete files5) change the bit and sample to 16\24 and 48\96KHz6) checking the tape names box7) copying the info to a new timeline😎 compying the info into a completely new Premiere project but nothing seems to be working.the only thing the works is when i export the AAF with Seperated files instead of Embedded.the sound designer really preferes to work on an embedded file, and i see no reason for it not to work, but so far cant fix it. can anyone please help?thanks in advance!

I have very slow exporting using a J2K export plugin in Premiere Pro 26 under Windows 11Previous version of Premiere Pro (25) works as always.As a example, a encoding of a feature film that will take bout 6 hours in Premiere Pro 25, Premiere Pro 26 says 14 hours!.The author of the plugin says to me that "That's strange. I have another question while migrating from CEP to UXP.I’m trying to retrieve the sequence video frame rate.I referred to this sample:https://github.com/AdobeDocs/uxp-premiere-pro-samples/blob/main/sample-panels/premiere-api/html/src/sequence.tsIn the example, it uses: const videoFrameRate = await settings.getVideoFrameRate(); However, when I try this, I get the following error: settings.getVideoFrameRate is not a function I checked the type definitions here:https://github.com/AdobeDocs/uxp-premiere-pro/blob/main/src/pages/ppro_reference/types.d.tsand I could not find getVideoFrameRate() defined there.So I’m wondering: Was getVideoFrameRate() introduced in version 26? Or is this an error in the sample code? Is there an alternative way to retrieve the sequence video frame rate in UXP for Premiere Pro 25.6.2? For reference, I am currently using Premiere Pro version 25.6.2.

As an Assistant Editor, I have to make EDLs of archival footage/stills/audio used in our sequences. I’ve been exporting the sequence (from our Production) as a Premiere Project, Generate Source Clips, then deleting source clips unrelated to archival (ex. production footage and audio). I then use Simplify Sequence and Flatten all multicam sequences. However, for some reason, the multicam audio remains in the sequence, even when the multicam sequences are completely empty. Is there a way to remove all empty multicam audio clips? Or flatten multicam audio (if it’s empty, it’d flatten to nothing)?
