I was experimenting with the new feature of scanning business cards to contacts in the iOS, and in the most simplistic form it works ok. It has trouble with reflective surfaces, but for the most part, it got most of the info correct on the first pass. What frustrates me about this app is that the automation fails to recognize, addresses, job titles, basically anything on the card that isn't name or phone number ( and it often misplaces which phone number is associated with things like cell, business, etc...I'll be the first to suggest this is user error, as I have found no clear instructions on the proper way to set this app up. My first question would be, has anyone had success making it work for things other than name or phone number?Has anyone figured out how to incorporate a 2 sided business card into contact? And is there any easy way to copy the scan as the photo for that contact when creating the contact, so even if the OCR makes a mistake, you still have a copy
While working on the road I upload and attach documents to a business app. The app needs documents at no more than 200 dpi. How can I change the dpi?
Hi,I'm having a problem with my Adobe Scan App on iOS, after scanning some documents, the app just crashes to home screen everytime. Sometimes it works for a few seconds but I can't save my latest digitalization and it's a important one that I really cannot lose. But the app crashes when opening everytime and when it doesn't, it crashes when trying to save as PDF.I can't uninstall the app because I'll lose that digitalization that costed me time and money.I'm having the same problem on another iPhone with less digitalizations.
Although the system sounds are muted on my LeTV LeMax2 you still hear the shutter sound when taking a scan picture. Is there a way to mute it separately?Kind regardsMaria
when saving business cards as pdf the cards are cropped in half along the length of the card. This is on iPhoneX if it helps
I took several pages of scans. Then it was saved to pdf, but nothing shows me that the application has no scan. Is there any way to restore the scans? I was signed in. Thank you.Zuzana
Scan is working fine, but even though I have the option turned on in preferences, the original image is not saving in my device gallery. I have all permissions turned on. Any solution?
If you take scans and leave the app before saving, when you return to the app, it first displays the most recent unsaved scans.Being new to the app and thinking it's just a preview of saved scans, my first reaction is to hit the 'X' in the corner to exit and get to the scanning screen. In doing so, ALL the unsaved scans are deleted! There needs to be a 2nd warning prompt that I'm going to lose all my scans if I proceed after hitting the "x". Lost over a hundred pages this way.(Other times you get that warning prompt after hitting "x" but ONLY if you haven't left the app since your last scan. Is this an oversight in the way the app performs, or am I experiencing a bug?)
Hi there everyone!I've gleefully been using Adobe Scan to digitize business cards since it received the business card option, and it works quite well. However, I find myself wanting to scan e-mail signatures as business cards quite often, which works perfectly as long as they're printed on paper. If I take a picture of the on-screen signtaure with Adobe Scan, the OCR recognizes nothing at all. If I print that same e-mail and scan off of paper, everything is recognized perfectly. The image taken directly off the screen is legible but has noticable moire, which I assume is the culprit. Even if I zoom in on the e-mail signature so that it fills an entire 24" monitor before taking a photo of it, Adobe Scan can't recognize it. I've tried a bunch of different LCDs and it's the same on all of them.Any chance there might be a way to work around this issue? I'd really prefer not to print stuff just to turn around and digitize it again...-edit- One workaround would be to take a screenshot of the
What's a simple way to move contacts created from a scanned business card, scanned using Adobe Scan and saved on my Galaxy S8, to Microsoft Exchange?
We are a small company and will have the employees, on the road, use adobe scan to documents back to the home office - is there a way to limit their ability (on the iphone) to delete, view or change documents? Can I Make the home office computer the receiver of all documents and the only one to see or edit the documents? thank youPatrick
Hi, everybody. Is there a way to set resolution for PDFs generated by Adobe Scan?
I tried to scan a mult-page document and it is asking me to crop each page manually. I found the settings to turn that off but now it does nothing to correct the image. The previous version cropped, rotated, leveled and color corrected each page automatically which made scanning documents a breeze.I finally figured out the new UI with the icon that turns on auto-cropping but this app needs more refinement. The end result should be as close to a flatbed scanner as possible with as minimal effort by the user.
I am scanning papers with Acrobat android app. File names are in Hebrew which is a Right to Left languange. When i visit Adobe cloud i see that file names are in wrong direction. Imagine reading: Hello as olleH.Is there a setting i can change?I am using Chrome.
When I log in with my active adobe account, the app refuses to upload any scans. It just says waiting to upload. I am having this issue on multiple devices. I created a temporary account and logged in with that and it works fine. It also works on the other devices. I log back into my main account and it again refuses to upload. I have tried all the troubleshooting steps listed in this forum and in the faq. I have reinstalled the app multiple times. I have logged out and in multiple times. There is clearly an issue with my account that needs to be addressed.
I have scanned 10 documents using the Adobe Scan app. These files take up 52.4 MB when they are viewed in the Adobe Document Cloud. However, when I check the size of the Adobe Scan app on my iPhone, it is taking up 409 MB (68.4 MB for the App Size and 340.4 MB for the Documents & Data). Why do 52.4 MB of pdf files take up 340.4 MB on my iPhone?
Does the text recognition function sends data to Adobe?I was wondering about privacy. Are my data sent over the internet for character recognition?
I spent time in another state scanning yesterday. I was prompted to save scanned pages as a pdf and I did. When I made it home to actually view the document: the scanned pages are gone. I’ve signed in to cloud.acrobat on 3 devices and the pages are NO where to be found. I’ve used the application successfully in the past. I need the documents retrieved and yes I was connected to a good internet connection. Please advise with options other than what’s already been tried.
I scanned documents last week with Adobe Scan on my Ipad when I did not have the compulsion to log in to the App. However when I opened the App today I have to login to the App as there is no guest login option. As a result I cannot see the scanned files in this Adobe Scan App on my Ipad. How do I retrieve these scanned documents? Many thanks for your help.

I'm unable to find scans from years ago, only ones from 2018 onward. I have looked both online and on my phone. Anyone know what could have happened? And most importantly, how to get those files? Thanks!
Is there any way to categorize (e.g. sorting into folders) or tag (e.g. similar to Gmail labels) scans? It'd be so useful since currently it's a pain to find receipts from different stores or for different purposes (e.g. dining, entertainment). Thanks a lot!
I had saved 2018 tax return on 2/13/19. It shows there’s 1.8 mb but when I try to open it, it says I have to open it in Yahoo mail because there was an error or something. When I try to open it there’s nothing there? HELP
I upgraded from an IPhone 6S to an IPhone 7 this week and:1. Adobe Scan no longer creates files although I can apparently upload photos to the app. It simply doesn't make and save a file when I select "save"2. All my scans have disappeared and there is nothing in the history or files list. Please help!
How do I stop scans from annoyingly re-cropping themselves after I save them?
