After Effects

Trying to analyze a scene where a forklift is pushing crates from the right at a birds eye view camera angle. When I go to analyse it fails though and I'm not sure whether its the scene I'm trying to track or my computer? 

Thank you for taking the time to read. I posted early about the trailer I am working on for a Missionary Bible School. The problem I am having is that when trying to preview the trailer on the time line, it is very slow even at lower quality. At "3rd" quality it's previewing at 7-9 FPS and at high quality it's preview at 2-3 FPS. The computer I am using has 128GB Ram i7 7820x 3.60Ghz and a Quadro M4000 Video Card. I have After Effects running on Solid State drive with about 80Gig space for leg room. I have done a few things like clear the cache etc.. but I am still dealing with the same problem. Also in my opinion the project itself is not that comprehensive in terms of effects etc.. that it should be this slow.Is there any solutions for faster previewing and just an overall better experience in working in AE in general? Any tips would be greatly appreciated! Thank you!!!

Hi, I have an echo effect on a shape layer and I'm trying to create a trailing echo effect.  For some reason the edges of the echos are being cutoff.  I've circled what I'm talking about in the images attached below.  Does anybody know how to fix this?

Hello everyone, Am a rookie animator. I am trying to animate particles over an object (like the attached example). I found this in dribble and its created with a 3d software. I want to replicate just the particles effect in After Effects. I found some tutorials in Youtube, but nothing comes close to this. Any suggestions or tips to achieve will be appreciated. Thanks,Dadruid.

Updated to 17.1.1 this afternoon. to try and solve the problem i have with the C4D cineware link not working. after update, that is fixed, but now 3d camera blur doesn't work. not matter where you put the focus distamce or alter the apeture. rolling it back to 17.1

After about an hour or so of working perfectly fine, the PTI (red line) stops showing up. The video plays just fine, but the PTI is missing and upon pausing, the CTI (blue line) stays where it was, instead of coming to the point where I paused.Tried reinstalling After Effects. The issue seems to be resolved for a few hours but started up again. Tried clearing Media Cache, switching to Software Only. Hi, I got after effects yesterday so im just a beginner, I started editing but then accidently changed the whole layout. I really want to know how to reset the layout or whatever they call it to the default layout. I tried looking up tutorials on how to but they dont work. Im on macbook air.

I need an After Effects 2021 installer because my processor (i7-2600K) does not support AVX2, and AE 2023+ won’t run. If anyone has the official setup file, please do share it.

Hi all,No matter what I try I can not get an image to show up in my Composition Panel. It appears in my timeline as a layer just fine. But I can only see the handles for it in the Composition Panel while the image itself remains invisible. I tried the following ideas to troubleshoot so far: I tried multiple ways to import it. (File>import vs. drag/drop)I tried dragging it directly onto the timeline vs. dragging it directly into the timeline layers.I tried importing different file formats (.png and .psd)I tried re-saving the image and giving it a different name. I tried changing the image into a comp and dragging that onto my timeline.  I made sure the timeline layer is not locked or hidden.I tested the image in a different file and it worked fine. Everything else on the timeline previews fine — except this image.  My computer is fine. Mac Studio / M2 Ultra / 64 GB Ram / 4TB SSD I attached screenshots below.Can anyone help with this issue? Many

Guys, I’m editing a hero video in After Effects for a client’s website (spotifydescargar.org), and I’m stuck with two weird AE-specific issues. First: The Gaussian Blur effect (applied to the background) makes the video lag like crazy on mobile (iOS/Android). If I remove the blur, it’s smooth, but the client wants it. Tried pre-rendering ProRes with alpha, lowering samples, GPU acceleration… no luck. Second: The semi-transparent overlay (using Multiply blending mode) flickers with random pixels in Safari (desktop/mobile). Works fine in Chrome/Firefox. Tried Straight Alpha vs Premultiplied, Solid Composite effect, even PNG sequences—still flickers. When I export via AME (H.265), the file is 50MB (needs to be <5MB). Render Queue H.264 breaks the alpha. Searched YouTube for “AE blur lag mobile” and “Safari alpha flicker AE”… only found basic fixes I already tried. Is this a known AE bug? Should I switch to Camera Lens Blur or ditch blending modes? Client’s deadline

撮影した動画を差し込んで3D空間の動画を作成中。写真や動画を多くいれ、ヌルで移動し写真を移すメッセージ動画です。 全て完了したあと、あえて手ブレ感を出したくwiggleを使用しましたが、動画が動いてる最中はwiggleをオフにしたく、チェックボックス制御をつかいたいです。 すでに完成しているものなのですが、チェックボックス用のヌルをさらに挿入しリンクしてもチェックボックスのオンオフできず、、さらにはヌルを一番下にもってこないと写真が映らないものがでてきます。 分かりずらいのですが、原因わかる方お願いします。

https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=I0JxRdfJtTE I have followed the above tutorial, but my shape is bigger than the composition, I want to follow the trim path end until the end of the shape, but keeping it in view at all times, so the shape needs to also move to remain on the composition.  Is there a way to do this that's not just laboriously moving the shape's position every few frames?Would really appreciate any help! Thanks! 

so when trying to pickwhip in an expression to the Grid>Feather>Width property after applying the effect we get errors as it populates the expression with thisComp.layer("Base").effect("Grid")("Width")which there happens to be the grid width property with that name. I found this out by copying a layer with 'relative property links' and the feather width and height kept populating with my grid width and height values. In my attached screenshot you can see the value refers to the Yellow value when i want the green arrow value but i cannot get that to pickwhip. I can get it to link usingthisComp.layer("Base").effect("Grid")(8) // feather width thisComp.layer("Base").effect("Grid")(9) // feather heightIf any reads this and needs a workaround in the meantime. Replace "Base" with your layer name 

Hi there,Before coming here I have already tried the following options:-setting AE to run as admin and turning off all Windows security software (uninstalling them)-Uninstalling and installing AE again and running the CC cleaner software-Fixing all footage with warp stabilization in Premiere to minimize shakiness-Restarting the computer after each of thoseI have been trying to figure this problem out to use the 3D Camera tracker as I want my 3d text to stick to a certain area of the footage as the camera movements change (ie pan up and such)If there is an alternate way to get the 3D text to stick to a building/area of the footage (if the analysis solve failed) cannot be fixed, that would be so helpful! Howdy, I'm experienced in video editing but am an After Effects virgin. I was told that the 3D modeling aspect of After Effects is still pretty new. So I am unsure if my current issue is just me being new or the new software being jank. I was working on an animation in After Effects today using 3D models (Object files) and got everything imported and added to a composition, but nothing was viewable? I was able to select the objects I added and manipulate them but couldn't actually see them. I added a colored background, transparent background, etc to see if it was hiding under something. I get the usual rotation and manipulation X Y Z axis for the object itself, but no visual? See screenshot included. Is there a box I didn't tick or something? I am new to AE so still not sure what everything is or does.
