Hello guys, Im facing 2 issues, useing both AE 2025 and AE latest beta version for a project.1. both are crashing when i open the new project or worked project.2. Unbale to open any files. 3. in AE 2025 version, when i disbale the plugins the follwoing issue appears as below Please help need to finish the project asap. Thanks in advance   

Hi, I have a question. I have this question in my mind for a long time  I need some senior to correct me. So when I use illustration from Adobe Illustrator  in after effects is it a good practice to discard extra/hidden part of illustration? Does it increase file size in AE when I render that as GIF or Lottie file or some animatin for web? like for example  am drawing an aeroplane in AI. It has 4 lights. I draw the lights and  part of the lights is hidden under wings. and then I group all those lights as a whole. so the part which is hidden under the wings, should I delete those unwanted part before importing it in AE? or it is not a big deal?  Please help me Understand this. Thank you. 

Hi guys, I have a problem with colors in After Effects after the latest update. When I import MP4 or MOV videos, the colors look different from the original files. This didn’t happen before I updatethe Adobe version last week.I checked the Project Settings and Working Color Space, and they are set to "None." How can I make sure the imported videos keep their original colors?Thank you for your help.

Hi,I have a 2 plugin of different types (say A and B). both have an arb parameter that consists of a 3x3 matrix (actualy 9 floats). When i try to connect both paramters via the whip tool in AE i get an expression error saying that paramters are of idfferent type. Is there a way for 2 plugins instances (of different types) to connect through an arb paratmeters knowing that the 2 arb are of the same type ? I dont record a way of naming a type for an ARB (aside from refconPV). Thank you

I am trying to open an AE project that I worked on in the last 2-3 weeks, but it keeps crashing before I can see anything. The project has assets I made from Illustrator. After the file opens, I instantly get a pop up stating "crash error in progress. last logged message was <26688><ae.blitpipe><2> HardwareBlitpipe Engaged". I double checked my laptop's drivers (Intel(R) UHD Graphics, NVIDIA GeForce RTX 3050 Laptop GPU)) and they are both up to date. The crash occurred prior to updating InDesign, and after. I've included screencaps in this post. Once it goes through all the pop ups, it tells me I can save the project file under a new, different name. I tried doing that, but the previous steps repeat all over again.

Hey everyone. I've recently built a new pc and have installed After Effects. Unfortunately, whenever I hit play (even if the composition is empty), my entire screen flickers rapidly, including other apps that are open. It is more noticable in darker areas. I uninstalled and reinstalled After Effects, but that didn't help. Does anyone have any ideas? Thanks. 

Hallo zusammen ich möchte gerne einen solchen Effekt erstellen, den ich gestern erstellt habe. aber ein wenig "professioneller"! dass auch die Nachberarbeitung einfacher fällt. Jetzt habe ich es händisch gemacht in dem ich mehrere Textebenen erstellt habe, Wörter gelöscht und zusammengeschoben. Aber das ganze passt mir nicht. Erstens möchte ich es dynamischer haben und zweitens sollte die Nachbearbeitung (wenn Wortlängen sich zb ändern) einfacher gehen. Ich kenne mich erst gerade mit den Basics aus und arbeite mich Schritt für Schritt vor. Habe auch das Handbuch und lese mich in das Thema mit dem Null-Objekt ein. Wäre dies der bessere Ansatz?Oder wie würdet ihr einen solchen Effekt erzeugen? Cool wäre es noch, wenn das fettgedruckte Wort dann noch animiert unterstrichen wird. Danke für die Hilfe

Please help me fix this after effects glitch. I imported an HDR image into after effects and put it all the way down at the bottom of my layers, and then I set my environmental light’s source from default to that layer. Then, I decided to use a different image. I imported it into my after effects file, and then I highlighted the first image at the bottom of my layers, and while holding option, I dragged the new image over the first image all the way at the bottom of my layers, which allows me to swap places with those two images. (a shortcut) Almost to the problem. Then, I decided I wanted to take them completely out, so I kept hitting undo, undo, undo until they were no longer in my after effects file. Shortly after, I noticed that the source’s drop-down menu within the environmental light is no longer there. Hi Everyone, I have this huge confusion on how to divide my SSDs for After effects. Hope someone will help me with their expertise. Basically, I am using windows PC, I have two internal SSDs - 1 TB NVMe & 1 TB SATA. Obviously, Windows & Applications run on NVMe. Right now, I am having project files (includes AE, Footage, Assets etc.) on SATA and Cache on NVMe (previously, I used to keep both cache and project files on SATA).   Now, I need to know whether it is the ideal way to use or is there better way. Because sometime my footage will be 2-5 GB of size and then should I need to keep it on NVMe along with cache or should I keep them on SATA along with project files? Should I do it the opposite way?  So, I am looking to find the best way to manage the files and use the advantage I have with two seperate internal SSDs.  Hope I get some amazing insights on this topic. Thanks to all!Maneesh-----------------------------PC specs

How do I download After Effects 2022

Ive been using After Effects 2022 for many years and had been using a Mac Book Air 13-inch. Recently due to issues with the screen breaking, i had no choice but to upgrade to the Mac Book Pro 14-inch. I purposefully got a better running computer so that my adobe apps could run faster, more storage, etc. But as i went to open After Effects, an error came up saying "After Effects can't continue: unexpected failure during application startup".  I tried as many things i could think of to fix it and researched as much as i could. I had unistalled, and then re-installed, which didnt work. I reset my laptop multiple times, also didnt work. I talked to someone who is pretty good with computer systems and they said that since im using a new system out the latest software, ill also have to update my After Effects as it may be uncompatible with the new system. But i feel like After Effects 2022 should be compatible because its not even that old, i know people who still use After Effects 2020

No puede guardar ningún cambio en este archivo. Hello, I bought a video to edit it in After Effects, but when I want to open it I get this message: Warning of After Effects: The file ".... Laep" is blocked. You can not save any changes to this file.

I want to create a 3x3 square grid with a total of 9 squares. There will be a single photo overlapping the entire set. I want each individual tile to flip over one at a time (like a playing card). How would I go about doing this? To test out the flipping motion, I tried setting the track matte of the photo to the 1 shape. But when I try to rotate the X or Y axis, the square doesnt stay stationery and "flip" over. The whole shape moves.  

When I draw new shapes, the anchor point doesn't auto-center like in previous versions. I've checked that this option is turned on in the Preferences. What's also weird is that I'm unable to alter the anchor point using third-party plugins, the anchor point doesn't budge, but the same script/plugin works on other types of layers. Is this a bug or have my settings/preferences messed up some way? I'm using After Effects 2025 (25.1.0 Build 68) on a MacOS (Sonoma 14.7.2)

 Try to work and stare at this UI for long hours, seriously. Take the Effect panel as an example; every effect has a highlight, making it seem like everything is selected; why?I'm trying to stick with AE 24 until there are some updates on the new Spectrum UI, but it's been months, and these changes make AE 25 horrible to work with. I can't even enjoy new features because it's awful; the visual contrast is gone.I hope there's some update planning for this because it's unacceptable

EDIT After trying the whole "reset your windows" package and getting the same error, I finally managed to hit the right google search and found this reddit topic where the user reported a very similar issue to mine and resolved it by turning off HAGS (Hawdware Acceleration GPU Scheduling) in Windows Settings. Did it and seems to be working fine now. Will report if the issue gets back somehow. Anyways, it's really sad that I needed infinite google searches and reddit help instead of simply getting even REPLIED by someone from Adobe or AE Team. Ironically, I pay Adobe monthly for a stable use of it's softwares, not reddit. I'm relieved that my issue seems to have been resolved, but not with help from Adobe.Sad to say without any sarcasm: Thanks for nothing, Adobe. TLDR: If you are experiencing the same issue as I am, try turning off this particular windows setting called Hardware Acceleration GPU Scheduling. This clip I have (inlcluded below 1 frame jpeg) is about 20 seconds long and I cannot seem to remove the text from the bottom right. I've used content aware fill and that always leaves artifacts and just doesn't do a good job. When the guitar moves up and down, there's always a smidge of the white left here and there. Also, have tried cloning and just trying to paint it out - but it never looks perfect. I'm new to this and this seems like a miniscule problem for which I'm probably missing a simple solution. The UI scaling options have been requested for years and completely ignored. The font is very very small and I struggle to read it which affects usability of the software. Adobe recently added a high contrast option to Premiere beta which makes it very slightly sharply in contrast but not much. I am aware of a method to make the font slightly bigger in some parts of After Effects but it's not really an intended feature. Adobe software is also very flat in design to the point that it can be hard to tell panels apart. I noticed this particularly in Animate. You are basically looking at a grey soup. Unlike free software like Blender or VLC there are also no theme options really besides very slight variations on the grey. This lack of accessibility could essentially lock out anyone with eyesight issues, And anyone with progressive eyesight issues such as due to age, who may find themselves unable to do their job because they can't see the software whereas with more accessibi

So sometimes I get to mousing around a bit fast, and I might miss the comp I'm looking to double click, and instead I activate the double click import, which opens a bright white window on my nice dark grey screen, and requires I drag my mouse over to close it, then trundle back over to the Project window to find the comp I was trying to open in the first place. Usually only happens when I'm in a hurry, because of course. All I can find is people who like this feature that I loath, and nothing suggesting a way to turn it off. Is that because I'm the only person besides my business partner who hates it? I mean, CMD+i is RIGHT THERE if I need to import something. Literally 30+ years combined of the two of us never wanting a double click import, and as I get older and my icons get smaller, I'm really hoping there's an option to turn it off.

I have been having this grave problem for quite a whileUsually before I would just track my video and place pictures on it and it would follow the track pointsNow regardless of the fact that there are track points when I add an image and select the 3d for it it seems as if it's not tracked at all and is just sitting in one position of the composition not at all moving around on the track points I added it onI have only found solutions for this in two other places where this problem comes from directly importing from premiere pro but in my case the video that I am importing was shot in my camera to my sd cardI really need to track objects and do not know what to do.PSThe video I'm using is reversed in the composition then trackedPlease help

We have photoshop for Windows on ARM and it's wonderful. Could we start to get the rest of the suite, assuming that it is not currently planned? The Microsoft Surface Pro X is an excellent machine with a GPU that can compete with the Apple M1. I know the Microsoft/Qualcomm SQ2 is lacking in CPU compared to the M1, but it's still more than powerful enough for this, considering how wonderfully Photoshop runs on WoA. After all, the GPU is the generally primary component required for video and image processing. Since the ARM64 libraries clearly exist for OSX, they can certainly be ported to Windows DLLs. I support ARM products no matter what company is using them, but it's frustrating to constantly be looked over until Apple does the same thing someone else does and THEY get support first and THEY get praised instead of the actual pioneer. That complaint aside, as it's personal opinions and frustration not meant to detract from an excellent ARM SoC (The Apple M1), I think th
