After Effects

Hello community,I have unfortunately encountered an export problem. For years I have been rendering EXR with a straight alpha multiplying, but since a few days the function is grayed out. The error occurred sometime during version 23.4 and still in 23.5 no different. Was there an official change that passed me by? Is there a workaround? With some formats you can still adjust it, so for example with Quicktime ProRes4444, however this is of no use to me, since we have and need an Aces workflow. Unfortunately I can't find anything about it. The error occurs with multiple accounts in the office.Is it a bug? Am I too stupid? I hope everyone's having a great start to their week! So, in short, I've been haven a recent problem with After Effects. It would happen here and there on AE 2022, but it is now becoming frequent with AE 2023. I keep running into a problem with After Effects, on both 2D and 3D projects, where the Active Camera (for 3D) and/or the Preview window won't update with the timeline. It won't even try to render when I skip around on the timeline, and if I try to preview the clip it will just stay static. I've tried the standard troubleshooting methods, all except fully uninstalling AE 2023 and reinstalling it. I even tried duplicating the comp, creating a new comp and copying assets over, and more - since that's been my workaround thusfar for the past few days. When I tried copying the assets over to a new comp, everything was working great, and then I nudged the timeline and everything froze up on the Preview winodw once more.  One of two things is happening:Either the pre

Hello,I have a problem with my Adobe After Effect and Rush: When I create a new project and import a mp4 video inside it, I can hear their audio, but I can't see the video.On after effect, the video is completely green and on Rush, there's nothing...Do you have any idea ?Thanks

Hello everyone.I want to wrap an image on an object I created in 3D.I will use a comp file for this and when I change the image in the comp, the image will automatically sit on this surface.But I cannot wrap the comp file on the curved area in the 3D object.I looked for videos on Youtube for this but I couldn't see an application close to this.How can I wrap the image to the black area in the 3D object in the screenshots I have shared in the attachment? Can you show me the way.Thank you very much.

It should be better to work in Composition window while layers are labeled just like in figma with their names, layer colors and contextual track and trick mattes. Also it could be useful to add hide and solo properties into context menus (kinda we already seen in Photoshop and Illustrator), tailored to selected layers. It's like a dynamic island but truly dynamic. Also you can borrow some ideas from FX Console plugin from Video Copilot.

 for Some reason Whenever I pop up and White Pop ups they All Freeze and Not select.Even After Effects Tend to freeze Untill I hit my windows Button to Get out of the pop ups then I can Use the program....I can't Change anything in the white Pop ups

Translating between languages and have my translations in a CSV. Linking works fine, as does my expressions to swap between them on my control layer.My problem is AE can't seem to recognize diacritic marks in specific words and then doesn't display any more of the words. For example: Más ventas displays as "M" (stops at the accent) mehr Verkäufe displays as "mehr Verk" (stops at the umlaut). Changing the font doesn't help. Any ideas?

I have a hex value that I'm working with (#60A630) on a project in After Effects. I have tried several RGB color spaces and export color management options... but every time, I get a color that does not reflect the source file. I believe I have read that H264 (which is the codec I have to use) uses the YUV color space. So, there is some translation going on... and I don't know how to account for it. Is there a way I can ensure that my hex value is translated properly—so that what I see in the source file, is what I can expect in the rendered video?

I am using after effect v24.3.In the graph editor,when manipulating a graph with keyframesI often use the "fit all graph to view" button that appears at the bottom of the window.I would like to assign this function to a keyboard shortcut key.However, it seems to be impossible to assign it to a keyboard shortcut key at this time.Is there any way to assign it?

After importing an mp4 file into After effects CC 2015 and creating a new composition I realized there is no video but only sound. I tried another mp4 video and that one worked perfectly (both visual and audio). Why is this file not showing the video? What can I do to get the video footage to show up?

Trying to render a group of comps at the same time. Selecting multiple and using Composition>Add to Render Queue then Render fails with "directory originally specified no longer exists". If I click the Output To name and hit enter or click save (without actually changing anyting) for each comp in the queue, it will render them all. 

I've been trying to figure out how to track/stabilize this clip but I've been finding it difficult as the clip first starts off focusing on the air vent of this Lamborghini Aventador but then moves down to the emblem on the rear wheel.Here is the link to the clip:Clip So my question is, how can I track/stabilize this clip, locking on to both points?Thank you in advance 🙂

Hello, I'm hoping someone could help with a mismatching colour issue in After Effects. Please take a look at the attached screenshot. Basically, the blue background of the imported/embedded video doesn't match the blue background of the PSD in the background. When I screenshot the original video and copy/paste that screenshot into the PSD, the blue matches. It only doesn't match when the video is imported into After Effects. Because the video is compressed, the background isn't one solid blue. The PSD in the background uses a "patchwork" of the blue background from a screenshot of the video. Thanks in advance!

Running CC, reinstalling some apps after a break in versions. Last version I ran was 2022. I added AE 2025, updated 2022 and set it to import old preferences. Pshop, Premiere, etc all run fine. After Effects (both versions) give me this (w attached image): After Effects error Code 35536...  ...\webm.exe timed out I assume its a driver error of some sort, and has to do with MediaCore, but I need to get these comps going and have had no luck fixing it. Any help would not only be appreciated but would be a major life saver.Thanks!

I am trying to roto brush many small components in a 1 minute/30 second video - it takes forever - is there a way to limit the frames I'm working with or something? Does seperating and hiding a roto layer mean it's ignored? I read in other threads about 'Freezing' something - unsure what this means...I guess I could render the content that I've successfully Roto'd, and then delete that part of it, but I'm not sure that'll help

Hi,i'm looking for help about an expression for the effect slider,when i'm using effect("Slider Control")("Slider").value.toFixed() it workbut as soon as i want to add a % at the end and use effect("Slider Control")("Slider").value.toFixed() + "%" the expression doesn't work at all anymore even just the start, does someone know how to resolve that ?Thank you(i'm putting screenshot for you to see, also english is not my first language so there may be errors)

I've been exploring the nice HDR footage from my new iPhone 13 Pro, on my iMac that unfortunately is one generation prior to having native HDR support (Retina 5K, 27-inch, 2019 - HDR was added to the 2020 iMac models). Even without this HDR support, HDR footage (as viewed in Apple apps) has noticeably more contrast and richer color than non-HDR footage, so I'm trying to figure out if I can use it with AE and AME to at least get "pass through" color behavior - i.e. ensure that both the original imported AE footage and the rendered HDR result from AME look the same as what Apple apps (e.g. Apple TV) display for the same content. I've tried everything I can think of in both AE and AME that should affect color conversion, and I haven't been able to achieve this goal. I am new to Adobe After Effects. I saw a video and am trying to duplicate an animation effect they did. However, shortly into the video they select the pen tool, and then a little to the right in the toolbar, you can clearly see options for what I believe are "fill" (or color) and "stroke" before the rotobezier checkbox. (Yes I know, it's in Spanish, apologies.)However, in my toolbar when I click the pen, I don't get these same buttons/tools/whatever:I have tried messing around in menus, looking all over the place, but I cannot seem to figure this out - can anyone help me get those two options into my toolbar?

Hi there, I converted an AI asset to a shape layer and can't figure out why the bounding box is so much larger than the layer itself. It's also not letting me select and edit individual assets within the layer. Any help/insight would be greatly appreciated. Thanks!

Hi! When i use the speed graph in the graph editor it shows a red and green graph instead of just a red or grey/white one, which makes it impossible to work around with. How can I get my speed graph to only have one line instead of both? (Yes, i've set my keyframes to easy ease!)Thanks a lot in advance!
