When I use an AI file, import the vector, and then animate the object.Sometimes I do get a white ghost line. Specifically when I use the puppet tool.How can I fix this? It is so not nice to see

Hi, is there an option to assign a shortcut to 'reveal in composition'? Or do you know if there is plugin or something to reveal my composition or footage in the Project panel using a shortcut?Cheers

Liebe Community, ich habe eine Bauchbinde in After Effects angelegt, bei der ein Hintergrund von ca. 20% Transparenz gleichmäßig zu 100 Prozent Transparenz übergeht. Diese Transparenz ist mit einer Alphaschablone, befüllt mit einem Verlauf von Weiß zu Schwarz, angelegt. Ersetze ich nun in Premiere einen Clip durch eine AE-Komposition, bekomme ich den sauberen Verlauf (im Bild oben). Exportiere ich hingegen die Bauchbinde jedoch in Essential Graphics, um sie in Premiere mehrfach zu verwenden, so bekomme ich einen harten, im Detail pixeligen Übnergang (unten). Wer kann sich - und mir - das erklären? Vielen Dank und freundliche GrüßeMartin

  This project has only one noise effect on one solid black color layer.Checking and unchecking clipping shows the same results.I think the colors should be a bit more colorful when no clipping is applied.Is this normal? or bug? I am using After Effects 24.1.0 (build78) on Windows 10.Thank you!

So I import comments much like premiere but it creates a text layer as a guide but I cannot see any of the comment text. Is there a trick to getting this work?

Hi I'm working on a project, and I have a null object with a 3D camera and a few pictures and a shape layer that is animated using the trim path. The 3D Camera is patented to the null object and so are my shape layers but everything is inverted so when I move up my shapes move down and vice versa. I hope you can help

Dear community, I've encountered an expression challenge while working on a template. In short, I need to link two specific keyframes (with the same value) to a slider control or a similar solution.The other two keyframes denote the in position with a different x value. In the attached screenshot, I've highlighted the two keyframes, which need to be controlled and represent the out position for a shape layer. Has anyone faced a similar issue and found a solution? Thanks a lot!

I was positioning several objects and suddenly a gradient appeared. None of the other compositions in my project have the gradient. I don't know how it appeared or how to get rid of it. As you can see, I have several Illustrator files placed in the composition. There are also several shapes that were made by creating vector shapes from one of the Illustrator files. I also have an additional composition, a camera, and a null object. I was repositioning the Illustrator files and the vector shapes when the gradient appeared. How do I get rid of this gradient? It shows up even when I include the composition in my main composition.

Hi all, I've got a routine in AE that, reading from a Json file, add 6 composition at time to ME and keeps doing the same untill the end of a JSON file. In my case the ME queue stars rendering once the first item is queued. Now the big deal is that i need to set the ME PRESET before launch the AE Script in order to have the ME items with the correct PRESET. Do you think is there a way to set the ME preset from the AE SCRIPT before start sending the AE QUEUE to ME? Let me know what you think. Thank you

 recently my preview has stopped working in after effects - it has been fine for ages. Today when I press play i just see a white screen - when I press stop all the assets on the screen appear. I tried doing things like clearing the memory, restarting and so on - to no avail. A sound file plays fine. Other posts talk about drivers but I am not sure how to check them out tbh I am running windows 11What should I do?  Thanks 

Imagine this:A murmuration of Starlings. When a bird moves to the left, it becomes green, and once they start moving to the right, it becomes red. Hi,  I exported some graphics with alpha channel to put on top of videos for an editor that edits on resolve. However when they export there weird shadow-like artefacts appear in the final video. I though it had something to do with the matte on export so in AE when I export the elements with a white BGND composition there is a white "shadow", when exporting with a black BGND composition there is a black "shadow". This much I figured.. The thing is that nothing changes if its matted or unmatted, the same artefacts appear ...For the small graphics, even if it's bothering me, it's not that visible but one of the graphics is bigger so their shadow takes up a lot of space and is very visible.I wonder if someone here has some advice as to how to remedy this ?  Some screenshots for illustration:  Thanks !

Hello, I have started working in After Effects. I am trying to learn by watching other people edit and doing the same things they do. As I was watching one editor, I noticed that my graphs was not moving like his. When he moved the keyframes in the middle, he did not reverse the graphs on the sides like I did in this video, he just raised the middle line. What should i do to prevent this from effect the rised graphs on the sides ? 

Please give me a quick answer.I make a video with the after effect and follow itThe original video is incorrectly overwritten and not outputted because the name is the same as the video. I didn't save the after effect file I was working on. It stopped during coding, overwriting stopped along the way, and the original file flew away.... Is there a way to find it again?

Hello, as stated in the title, when I try to open AE I always get this popup.I have updated AE to the latest version through Creative Cloud, reinstalled ae 2 times, updated my drivers, updated windows to the latest version, ran AE as administrator, I feel like I have searched the whole internet and still haven't found a solution that is working.I'm using v24.1.0.78

1. AE 24.12. MacBook Pro, 14 inch 2021, Apple M1 Max. macOS Sonoma 14.3. 3. Open a project file of around 100 mb. Every cursor move is followed by a freeze and a few seconds of spinning wheel.  After the latest Sonoma update After Effects started to show these issues.AI has the same issues. But started to show it with the most first Sonoma build.

I have a simple title animation that I made in AE, to add to my Premiere project.  The quality is perfect in AE.  It's also perfect in the output file (Quicktime RGB + Alpha). However, as soon as I import the file into Premiere, the quality goes out the window. I thought at first it might be due to the framerate difference (Premiere comp is 60, AE comp was 30).  So I recreated the AE animation at 60 fps, but that didn't make a difference.  The resolution is the same between both files (3840x2160). I also attempted to add an adjustment layer to my Premiere file and use it as a dynamic link to AE, where I recreated the animation again in the new linked file.  I figured that the AE comp would inheret the comp settings from Peremier.  That made no difference. The only method that worked is if I imported the file into a brand new Premiere composition and used the AE comp settings to create the Premiere comp.  Then it rendered in its ful

Bonjour, je vous explique ma situation : j'ai pris un essai gratuit de 7 jour pour un abonnement After Effect annuelle, je n'en est plus besoin mais au 8ème j'ai résilié l'abonnement car je n'en avais pas besoin mais j'ai été débité vu que l'essai est passé, je dois normalement me faire rembourser car j'ai résilié avant 14 jour depuis la date d'achat mais je n'ai reçu aucun mail me disant que j'allais être remboursé c'est normal ? Beim Starten von After Effects bekomme ich folgende Fehlermeldung: Der Prozedureinsprungspunkt "MFCreateDXGIDeviceManager" wurde in der DLL "C:\Program Files\....\Suppor Files\GPUFoundation.DLL" nicht gefunden Ich habe mehrfach versucht After Effects neu zu installieren. Ältere Versionen und die aktuellste.Habe alle Treiber auf den neuesten Stand. Habe auch versucht einen älteren Grafiktreiber zu installieren.Leider immer ohne Erfolg. Hi guys, I have a 205 error in the after, and I've done everything, I used the cleaner tool, I've spoken to support, but the problem still persists. I had this same problem in the beginning, but I followed a tutorial that I found here in the community, but it seems that when I solved one another one appeared. I have LOTS of expresssions in my project, and I'm trying to update them to the new Javascript engine using the built-in "Update legacy expressions script".However, some syntax errors still persists.Take the following for example:if (value<1) res=1;if (value>maxValue) res=maxValue;If I add "else before the second if, the error resolves (and I understand why).However, I have thousands of such cases. Is there anyway to automatically fix them?Thank you

Hello all, I'm writing this post to point at a common mistake that may waste a lot of time as happened to me, Although I'm not beginner, but I had that silly experience.one of my comps in AE was showing black scren in composition window, sounds are played, new layers are okay, but all other layers not visible!I checked all layers for opacity, scale and position to make sure it's all correct, then tried a bunch of bug fixes available on Adobe forum for AE, then after no short time, I discovered that it was all about one null layer scaled to "0" with all thoses layers parented to!Although it seems too silly and funny but I just want to say, double and tripple  check everything before thinking of  bug fixes!
