When I run after effect this message appaers ! I can't work since 1 week. I can't find any solution on the internet... I use after effect 15.1.2 and for the moment I can't change the version (I'm french)

Hi, im using your SF-Subtitles Plug-in on After Effects. After the last update(24.3), it stopped working. I'm encountring an error which says "Unable to execute script at line 27. Uncaught JavaScript exception: (object Object)I tried some of the possible ways which i saw here or other helpful websites. (like delete and install again, changing between "Scripts" and "ScriptsUI Panels" folders.) but nothing change. It's because of the latest after effects update i guess but i had to do it bacuse when yout hit G button on keyboard you couldn't reach the pen tool before this version.That was a huge problem too.. Anyone experiencing same? Can you show me a possible way ASAP please. I got a long video to sub 🙂

Hi Matthias and communityI was wondering if the linking of spreadsheets to After Effectsin Automation Blocks works like in Premiere PRO or if there arelimitations. I would like to drive colors text and other things witha spreadsheet. (i know there is the free JSON script but I wouldprefer to work with a CSV file) thanks for the help or linking toa tutorial.Sandro

Hello! I have followed numerous tutorials on YouTube to extrude a 2D PNG into a 3D object so I can make it rotate, but no matter what I do, whenever I duplicate the layer enough times to make it 3D, the object has a weird line going through it from the side view. It looks like the layers are perhaps not close enough together. It does this with ANY 2D PNG I try to use. It looks like this before and after exporting. Changing blend mode did not help. I reset and updated all my preferences and nothing. It looks fine from every angle but the side, so  I can't rotate it! I have managed to create a working scrollable container that gets it's height dynamically increased, but as soon as i dynamically populate content, it kind of not render more than ~90 rows of content. The script reports number of rows correctly, and even scroll scrolls the proper amount. However after these ~90 rows nothing is being displayed there. I have even tested if these rows are there, and the script sees them. They are just not displayed for some reason 😕😕 Trying to troubleshoot it, but cant find any information about some hard limits i might not know of. Do anyone know of such limits of panel area? Perhaps its not just height but the total area like width*height that after reaching some threshold is being cut off?  

Hi guys,i installed after effects 2 weeks ago.And I wanted to install some plug ins but there is one problem.I don't have the file support files.I watched YouTube videos how to install plugins and you need the file support files but I don't have it.Why and how can I install plugins?

I'm doing some online training for After Effects but they're using AE2020.They refer to 'Compositing Options' applied to individual effects (here to apply effect specific masks) which are visible under each effect in the layer dropdown. See image for ref.Can someone point me to these 'Compositing Options' in AE2024 please?Thanks,Robin 

Hi everyone, Is there an issue between the essential properties and source text (that has been put in Essential Graphics)? If I make a text layer in an otherwise empty composition, and I put the source text property of the text layer in Essential graphics, I can edit the text via the Essential Graphics panel.But if I want to edit the text via the Essential Properties panel, and push to primary comp, I get the following error "After effects error: internal verification error (unexpected match name searched for in group (29 :: 0)" and it deletes the text layer, and sometimes AE even crashes completely.  The problem also occurs with text labels from the Animation Composer plug-in, but with those text labels it gets even weirder, 'cause when I want to edit the text in the textlayer itself (so going into the label composition, not via the animation composer of essential properties/graphics panel) it shows the text I type backwards, and after that it gives me the sam

Hi, I'm trying to make an animation with one shape layer that rotates, and another layer that moves with the rotation, but horizontally. Is there any way to parent the rotation property to the other shape layers horizontal position? To explain the attached photo: I want the lines under the round shape to move when I rotate the round shape, like a scroll effect horizontally. Thanks!/Jo 

Almost every second time when I am trying to select an output folder for my render, After Effects suddenly freezes and then crashes. I have absolutely no idea what may be causing this bug, but now I have to remember to save my project every single time I use the built-in file browser in case it freezes again, which happens almost on a regular basis. This is seriously frustrating.

Ive been trying to do the "Isolate elements with the Roto Brush" tutorial. When ever I get to the part where I've used the roto brush, anything else I click on immediately leads to AE crashing. I'm currently using the latest M1 MacBook Pro 13inch computer and everything(Adobe software included) all seems to be up to date.I'm not sure what to do?

Hello, I'm in the process of creating travel maps using Adobe After Effects. I have now had to extend my composition from one minute to two minutes and have therefore also manually extended the various composition elements. Everything worked fine, only the water layer disappears after one minute, the rest of the map stays the same. Does anyone have any idea how I can make sure that ALL layers get extended? I have no clue why just the one layer disappears...

I don't understand how to make blocks that are 2 levels below the main composition play an animation when they cross the middle of the top composition?I tried expression writing from the top composition to get low blocks coordinates, and from the lowest block to get its position[0] in the composition of the top level - nothing works!Can anyone help, at least with advice or direction?Sample project included.

Hi!I have a variable for example 'POS'.And there is a composition 'ONE', where on a layer is placed a composition 'TWO' with some layers inside and an animation on its timeline.I need that as long as the POS variable is less than 1000, the animation in TWO is paused at 1m frames.If POS is more than 1000, then the animation in TWO starts from the first frame until the end.Tried 'Time remap' on comp "TWO" with '<1000'  - 0; and  with '>=1000' - value;  - doesn`t work correctly, `cose TWO starts playing not from 1st frame.

My after effects was working perfectly fine 2 days ago but now when I try to start the application It shows this error: Did I accidentally delete something or do I have to update it?

Every time run AE for the first time in the day, it asks me to log in. Sometimes later in the day.Once I do, it says "too many computers connected" and shows me this PC logged twice.I disconnect one false PC, now I can move forward... but no! Here comes another pop up: "we can't reach Adobe servers" - How is this possible? Then how did you know that my pc was logged twice on the first place? What it was logged to? This all happens with CC logged flawlessly from the beginning. It's driving me crazy...Can you help me please?Also, how it's possible that there is no "keep me logged" checkbox?

Hello guys,I am using AE 24.1 and AME 24.2.1/I created C4D(lite) files from AE which I integrated into my comp.When I try to have a render, the visualization shows my animation quite well, but the MP4 video is empty.The same happens with AME for export.I learned that there was a bug regarding CIneware/C4D and After effects with AE 24.1 version.Is that why I am having this issue and how to fix it?Thank you! I have to deliver this project this week 🙂 

when scrolling through fonts in after effects 2024 ver. 24.3.0 on my mac m3 pro Version 14.1 (23B2073)the program will immedeatly crash when certian apple fonts are selected like apple braile. I have tried just deleting these fonts but it seems that there is just no option to. If anyone has also had this problem and found a workaround that would be very helpfull

I'm using After Effects CC2018 for the current project. I'm trying to use "scale composition" (from the scripts menu) on a composition because I've replaced footage that was 1080p with 2160p footage. I've scaled other compositions and I'm trying to scale a comp that has certain effect layers in it. I have a composition that I'm trying to scale that is 2880x2880 pixels (1:1 aspect ratio).When I use the "scale comp" script to try to double the width and height (so it's 5760x5760and all the layers are scaled appropriately) it doesn't work properly. Is there a limit where the max it can scale to is around 3840x2160? Can it be worked around? Is it the same in later versions of AE? edit: For some reason it's started working correctly and starts correctly scaling it to 5760x5760. I tried exiting the program and doing it on a small test comp and then the actual project again and it worked. Maybe the exiting the program and restarting it fixed any issue it had - at least tem

I've been encountering this issue with After Effects CC 2023 wherein most of the time, whenever I try to click on a Preset or a Plugin from the 'Effects and Presets' bar, it won't click. It doesn't even show the white color indication that I'm hovering over it. This occurs  when I open After Effects and when I'm in the middle of editing. Even after clearing my Cache, reinstalling my after effects and plugins, and restarting it, it still happens. Never had this problem with After Effects CC 2020. The only way for me to add a plugin is by clicking on the layer.

I have not been able to find a fix for this anywhere and have been struggling with this for months. The last option i have at this point is to redownload windows because nothing else has worked.I will import a clip, work on it for a bit and it will randomly get "corrupted" and will have a sort of green/pink data mosh effect that i will try and attach a image or video of below. When this happens i can rarely get it off of the video therefore completely ruining my composition. I have noticed that if i add frame blending on a clip it recreates this bug every single time.Im in desperate need of help for this issue. Ive deleted and reinsalled my AE and my media encoder. I have disabled hardware acceleration and cleared my cashe multiple times still to no avail. Like i said the only thing i have left is reinstalling windows and having a fresh computer. AE 23.1.0 (Build 83) has a missing footage bug on MacOS Ventura 13.1. Problem appeared after upgrading to Ventura and reinstalling everything. All project files are stored in Dropbox which now has a problem of it's own - every necessary file has to be made as Available-offline. After making most of project files available offline, some footage was still missing and After Effects greeted me with 16 pairs of error messages saying "file 'somefile.mp4' cannot be imported – this "Moov" file is damaged or unsupported" and "The source compression type is not supported (86::1)"  - nothing new - I have had this dropbox related issue on MacOS 12 - except there I could just search in finder for missing file, make it Available-offline, go back to AE, double click on missing footage item, select just synced footage and everything was fine (after I did it again and again with every missing file). Now it doesn't work. Now I search in finder for missing footage, make it Available-O

Hi there,Im trying to use the "align video to data" feature in AE that is documented in "Data driven animation".Unfortunatelly the documentation is not enough to build a working mgjson file for this case.I found an CSV to mgjson file converter but that seems to be for dynamic sensoric data only and not for static timecode per layer data.In the Sensoric Management SDK documentation its mentioned how someone would build such an mgjson file but Im no programmer so Im a bit overwhelmed by all that information.Does anyone ever succesfully used the "align video to data" feature or created an mgjson for static data?Would save me a lot of time as I need to set hundreds of layers on specific timecodes and also put keyframes on them...
