I think I may have changed the "saved loadout" Please help me reset the saved loadout

Hello, I updated to AE 25.3 this morning and quickly realized that scrolling on the mouse would pan the composition window instead of zooming in and out of it as it has in past versions. I confirmed this by rolling back to version 25.2.2 and it restored the scroll as zoom. Was this intentional or a bug? Is there a way to switch this in the settings? Mac StudioM3 UltraSequoia 15.4.1

I'm trying to import a "psd" file with layers into Ae 2022. But it keeps giving me a "Bad Tracked Memory ID 23::33" error. And for what it seems, this error has been happening to many users since Jan 2022.Say, Adobe. What gives? Are you going to fix this?Or is time for me to lookup an Ae alternative?

Hey, I'm using generate > audio waveform. I'd really like the waveform to start about halfway into a flat line.  Is there a way to manipulate the waveform, or to draw a line and dictate where the waveform begins, so it flatlines at the beginning or end?  THanks!

These detections occur through the plugin “mochaae” that is integrated with After Effects, in a path as “adobe media encoder 2025 ”aftereffectslib", which is triggering the exposure of the Adobe Media Encoder (25.2) and Adobe Premier Pro (25.2.3) applications.

SALVEI OS ARQUIVOS DE FORMA CORRETA DO PHOTOSHOP. Quando fui subir no after, lê como foto e não como camada. E sim, coloquei todas as opções certas na hora de importar o arquivo. Salvei de novo e foi. dps os outros não foram. mesmo eu tentando salvar de novo. Desinstalei tudo, até o adobe creative cloud e NADA. Não adianta. When opening various new Ae files, I seem to be unable to play the animation back more than once (after starting and stopping) without the stage turning blank and the programme becoming unresponsive. Ae has no 3rd party plug-ins, only overlord used. I have tried new files, old files and even kept them simple (creating a simple vector circle) and this still happens. Even tried older versions and a colleagues mac which is much more powerful and others have tried and get the same issue too. I have cleared caches and reset preferences. I feel like the issue could be to do with the Ae project settings perhaps?? Any ideas or help very welcome!

I have been frustrated with colors in After Effects. I imported a Photoshop file into After Effects and everything looks great. The colors are all washed out when I export the file from Media Encoder or inside After Effects. I have tried Quicktime and H.264. I have tried adjusting the color tab under the Project settings. If seems like nothing works. I was even at the Adobe Max conference and even the After Effects experts didn't seem to know how to fix it. 

The latest version of After Effects seems to have broken the ability for deadline workers to launch AE. All workers immediately return with this error: Error: FailRenderException : After Effects returned non-zero error code: 132. Check the render log. if you take the "full command" and paste it into a terminal window, it launches just fine. For example (from the deadline worker log) 2024-01-17 18:05:38: 0: INFO: Full Command: "/Applications/Adobe After Effects 2024/aerender" -project "/Users/Shared/Thinkbox/Deadline10/workers/EDIT1/jobsData/65a7fd08da4823eb325531ff/DEADLINE__TEMP.aep" -comp "Comp 1" -s 0 -e 0 -output "/Volumes/EDIT_Local/_TEMP RENDER/Comp 1_[#####].png" -v ERRORS_AND_PROGRESS -close DO_NOT_SAVE_CHANGES -sound OFF This is fine. But the job launched from deadline immediately fails with exit code 132. This only occurs with AE version 24.1.0. All previous versions of AE 2024 and AE 2023 are fine. My question is what is exit code 132, and what would

Hi guys! Im really hoping that someone can help me understand why After Effects will not just leave my text files alone. I mainly edit "gaming" vidoes for youtubers and I do a lot with subtitles. So I add stroke, drop shadow, etc... BUT when I try to "replace with after effects composition" for the sake of tracking text to an in-game characters head using AE's motion tracker, it completely ruins how the text looks. The stroke gets skinnier and the drop shadow is completely gone! I've tried to look up why this is and the best thing I can find was about how AE interperates text files, and it doesn't share the same effects panel with PP.I need some way to protect the look of the text as it goes into AE, any ideas?

Hi. When I view my image in Photoshop, it looks ok. But when I import it into AE it looks totally different. What can I change in AE to fix this?P.S. I didn't change any of the settings in AE before this problem happened.

I have a layer, which has an expression applied to Position. The expression changes the Position value over time. What I am trying to do is access the value of Position as if it had no expression applied to it. The property("Position").value method doesn't work because it takes current Position value which is influenced by the expression. What I need is the original value. Is there any way to get that?

This functionality was removed with the update to Ae2025 and it is quite annoying. Allow us to drop files from folders on our system into the empty project window (below the hamburger menu). There's no need to remove this and it would significantly speed things up when working with lots of folders/files and you can't just drag-drop a file.  

Hello, I have a compostion of 3480x1920. I add a layer of an image(sequence) with 2000x800. I add my pliugin on this layer. It sees only width and height 2000x800. But I want to know the comp size 3480x1920. My plugin wants to scale and distort this 2000x800 input image to 3480x1920. e.g. by scale factor of 2. To do this I need to loop over all 3480x1920 output pixels and get their value by inverse transformation an looking into my input. At the moment I try this in Smart Pre Render event. To get the size. But i am open for other suggestions. How can I archieve this? Thomas

Hey there guys, I've been asked to do something for a skating company where a trail is produced behind the skater in some footage. This is easy enough to do, as I can just Mocha track the skater then draw a stroke path on that track, but the problem comes with trying to keep that trail stuck to the ground afterwards. If I do the Mocha track, then 3D cam track the footage then stick a camera in, the Mocha track just warps out of place. What do you think would be the best workflow for this. Track first, then maybe just draw on the path afterwards? I might be thinking of this completely backwards haha, so please give me some ideas if you have another way of approaching.

Hey guys.  I have RTX 4070 super, i9 14900K, 1TB + 1TB samsung Pro SSD and 32+32 ram. As you can see, in attached picture there is only 3 file on this app and look at that render time. I cant even preview this 5 sec video on quarter res.  Does anyone know how to fix this? I bought a new desktop for this and payed almost 3K$ and still same problem. I feel scammed 

Very new to After Effects, only working on premade graphics and templates. On two separate files I've tried rendering graphics with transparent backgrounds, and for whatever reason the colors all change to blue after it renders. First file I used was a red, white, and blue patriotic sequence and all my reds looked fine until I opened the finished rendered file in VLC or in Premiere.  Same issue with the file I'm working on now, everything looks like the correct shade of green in the project, while it's rendering, and only turns green after I open the finished file. Exporting through Media Encoder results in the colors all working properly, but I don't want to have to open ME every time I need to render something when I'm not working with complicated stuff. Above are photos of the colors in AE, while it's rendering in AE, and then afterwards in VLC. Hi, I have a problem.I have a comp with some looped movement (any kind). When I use it in another comp and apply time remapping with loopOut, everything breaks.First, the last frame disappears! (Seriously, when are you going to fix that? Where does it go?)Fine, I add an extra keyframe one frame before the last frame to make it loop properly (why can’t this just work automatically?)But if I turn on motion blur - everything breaks again. The motion blur glitches on the loop seam, and I have no idea how to fix it.   

I recently upgraded to win 11 and when previewing in after effects (24.1) my cti (the red line thats supposed to move in real time) moves a few frames then freezes, along with the preview time. Changing between gpu and softare rendering didnt work, changing some settings like the audio output device fixed the problem, but it came back the next day/ in the next ae session/ when I created a new project. My projects barely have a few layers, my pc specs should be enough (i5 14400 rtx 4070 super 64 gb ram). Never had this problem on my old pc (i5 9500 gtx 1650 32 gb ram) with windows 10 and the same ae version.

Hello,I have been slowly learning AE for the past few years. I am finally getting good enough to create temp comps.I want to do a sky replacement on a shot that rotates 360 degrees. I have a good camera solve, color range to key out sky is good.  I have a sky  element that is 12079 x 2416. My project is 1920 x 1080. I dont understand how to bring the sky in larger than the comp size. I tried it as a new compostion, but could not properly link the 3D camera to it.  How to import it so it is larger than the project/comp size? The other question is, I set the ground plane based on good track points. How can i move it over so it is in the enter of the comp? I guess pan behind tool doesn't work in 3d. Question about the Roto Brush in After EffectsI'm having some questions about how the Roto Brush in After Effects determines the selection area.What criteria does it use to decide what gets selected? I assume it considers factors like color, edges, and object recognition, but even when I explicitly exclude certain areas, it sometimes still re-selects them after a few frames. In some cases, the same area keeps getting selected no matter how many times I try to correct it.Even when working on relatively simple areas like a face, I often find that if I render and walk away, the brush has ended up selecting completely unrelated parts of the frame.Would adjusting the contrast, color, or sharpening the edges of the subject help improve accuracy?If there are any effective ways to improve Roto Brush results, I’d really love to hear them.I’m also using third-party AI-powered effects that allow prompt-based masking.
