After I finish recording, upon playback the beginning of some words or even entirity of small words ("an" "on" "of") are very faint or gone completely. I *think* I notice it usually happens after some brief pause in speech, for example after a breath. I am not running a "de-breath" effect, only a denoise effect. Any ideas about what is causing this and what I can do to fix it?
I have a SubZero sz-mix08USB mixer that I wan`t to connect to Adobe Audition. I have connected the mixer to my Windows computer via a USB cabel, but how do go from there?

When I am making a new favorite list for some effects, it won't apply again to all waveform. It's applied only to a specific part of the waveform not all of it. I'm so upset can someone help please.
Hi fello audio nerds, I'm trying to find resources, tutorials, and tips on how to create a cinematic experience with sound in my podcasts. So things I'm trying to learn:How to make a voice sound far away but increase in volume as they get closer to the listenerHow to make a voice sound like it's coming through a phoneHow to create a feeling of being in different spaces, e.g. a classroom, a police station, a field, etc I do mostly non-fiction production, but I am starting to dabble in fiction podcasting where I need to be able to take my sound design skills to the next level. For background, I have 10 years experience in audio, mostly in journalistic capacities. I'm very comfortable with Audition but there's more to learn! Anyone have a sound design background who can help me out? Thanks!
Hi there,I'm editing a podcast, and was in the closing stages, when my little son came in and plugged the hard drive cable out from the laptop (and played with the keyboard for around 10 minutes). All source files were on it. The software crashed, I tried to recover, but when I load it, the original sound file with the recording in it, was overwritten somehow. It is in its original folder and it is when I open a backup file. Nor the file became shortened, but when I open it, I saw the soundwaves, but there's no sound (no mute, of course) - other file in the same multitrack session is working. Is there a way I can recover the original version of my source file? It's a wav.
I've had this issue several times. When I come back to Audition after several hours (e.g. next day), it is still open and I can see my project, but wherever I click on within the program - it disappears from my screen which switches to the browser. It is still open, I can get it back from the Task Bar - but can't do anything with it or in it. Have to shut it from the Task Manager - as there is no other way available - and reopen. Is this a known issue? Windows 10 64 bits. Audition version - 23.2.0.68. Firefox.
In previous versions, while recording was in progress, I could select a portion of the audio being recorded and save that selection as a separate file, while the original recording continued. In this way, I could work with that section of audio, on another PC, without stopping the recording (long recording sessions). In Audition 2022, the "Save Selection" option is greyed out. It is only available when I stop recording. Is there anything I can do to enable that tool?Thank you.

I only record voice through the Microphone to Adobe Audition for voice overs to introduce a song or back announce a song I just place in a track I do not where I went wrong but I cant seem to get it to record at all songs still load fine mix down too CAN ANYONE HELP?
Is there a plug so I can mix audio from a Premiere Pro sequence in Audition without going through the whole prep to export audio tracks?
From the first time I used the Frequency Analysis window, I have been unable to completely clear the old frozen frequency outline.Adobe instructions say:"To clear a frozen frequency outline, click its corresponding Hold button again". This changes its colour but doesn't completely delete the graph.Even when I closed and reopened Audition, even when I updated to the current version - the old outline is still there. How can I remove it?
The following has been annoying me for YEARS and I'm finally gonna ask and see if anyone's got a solution! Here's what's going on.... After recording voiceover, I generally save my WAV first to my project folder. However, because I submit auditions as mp3, I then also export the file as an mp3 to the same project folder. But in doing so, I encounter these 2 annoyances: Export file - mp3 - keeps adding _01 suffix. I don't want a suffix, I just want an mp3 version with the exact same filename. QUESTION: How can I turn off this suffix being automatically added to my filename?? Export file - mp3 - keeps wanting to save to my last project folder, not the current one where I saved my WAV. So, I always have to click BROWSE and select the 2nd item in the list. QUESTION: How can I set it so that it will automatically be set to save the mp3 to the same project folder that contains the wav I just saved?
Hi! I have a small recording studio equipped with a Røde Caster Pro 2 and 4 Shure SM7Bs. I record all mic tracks seperately to post mix in Audition. Everything is good when recording with only one guest and one host. But with two or three guests + host I get a problem with "spill over" sounds from each microphone. When I put each microphone on lets say track 1 to 4 in Audiotion and just plays the project, all microphones sound very "canned like". When I just solo play a single microphone track everything is good. So it's of course because of spill over sound from all microphones when having them all turned on at once. Instead of using a auto gate which I'm not a big fan of, can I them somehow use Essential Sound or another "auto mix" feature in Audition to lower all microphone tracks which are not playing active dialogue while another microphone track is? I have also tried to do a sum comp routing all four mic tracks into a bus track and
Does anyone know how to fix this? Audition shut down and now it won't give me my audio back
Hey all!So I am exporting a client's voice work, and they have a 2 hour session. I am seperating each line into their own tracks, and muting the original session on the first track. When I go to do a multitrack export as a test, the voice clips I am exporting that should only be 10 seconds end up being 2 hours long.I have checked in Mixdown Options that Master is unchecked, and only the tracks I want to export are selected. I know there is nothing else on the timeline of these individual tracks, as I am seperating and dragging the voice clips to different tracks. Not copying/pasting. Yet each time I am getting 10 seconds of dialogue, followed by 2 hours of silence. I only started experiencing this problem when I switched for CS6 to the recent version of CC, and am not sure what else to do. Thank you in advance for your help.
Hi everyone, I'm pretty new to audition and I'm having a problem with linking offline media. I opened audition and my project as usual but this time all media were offline. So I tried to re-link them by right-clicking. Unfortunately it didn't work, because all the original media in my desktop files are greyed out when i try to link them. Does anybody have an idea why this happens and what to to?I'm really distressed right now. I'm using Audobe Audition 2022 build 22.6.0.66 on MacOS Monterey 12.3.1. The files are in my icloud. I really appreciate your help!
Hi, I've got two questions/issues with my Audio Hardware settings. 1. In both the Default Input and Default Output dropdown menus I've got TWO options for my Yeti Pro mic:- System Default - Microphone (2-Blue USB Audio 2.0)- Microphone (2-Blue USB Audio 2.0)Why are there these two options which are for the same mic?Which one should I select? Does it matter? 2. When I first installed Audition (about 2 months ago), my mic sample rate was 48000 Hz, which was reflected in my Audition settings. Then at some point, possibly (?) after the recent Audition update, I noticed that the sample rate has changed to 44100 Hz. My mic stopped working (was not recognised as working in Audition), and when I ran Windows sound troubleshooter, it said that the sample rate was "different from the default", and after changing it back to 44100 Hz in the mic settings, it was working again. I want to change it back to 48000 Hz as that's the recommended sample rate for
In Cool Edit Pro und den ersten Audition-Versionen konnte ich die Punkte einer Wellenform mit der Maus verschieben: So konnte ich kleinere Artefakte bzw. Spitzen manuell korrigieren. Geht das jetzt gar nicht mehr?
Hi allI started a project in stereo and now realise I should've started a 5.1 project (I'm a noob). Is it possible to convert the project to 5.1 after the fact so that I get the surround mixing UI?Thanks for any helpRegards
As far as I can tell, there's no way to easily rename files that are used in a multitrack session. Does anyone know of a way to do this without having to use "save as" and then relink clips? This is a really laborious process if the same file is used in many clips. Renaming files would be a really nice feature given that recording many takes produces all sorts of files with similar names. After working for a bit and finalizing a take, it would be nice to be able to actually name the file something distinct and then easily delete unwanted files. Otherwise I've just got a ton of files named "Track X_00x: etc.
Hello, I am using Adobe Audition CS 5.5 64 bit and now suddenly it quit the programm when I try to push play or wehn I try to srcoll the Timeline. I`ve onstalled audition again, and there is the same problem. So how can I solve this problem?
My Macbook recently crashed and when I tried to boot up Adobe Audition it gave me the error 205. I have tried uninstalling and reinstalling but it gave me the same error code.
I am trying to learn how to batch process in Adobe Audition. The goal is to take a single audio file that has speech at different intervals and create consistent pauses between the speech. So far I've used the Diagnostics tool to mark the different speech phrases and isolate them into separate tracks in Multitrack. Then I added silence to the beginning of each track. Now all that's left is to sequence each of the tracks together with the leading silence.I couldn't find anyway to sequence them all back onto one track with the silence included. And when I tried to save them all individually using Save All Audio as Batch Process (to bring them back in and copy them all onto one track) the leading audio was clipped off each track. I have spent hours Googling and YouTubing and I'm driving myself crazy. There must be a simple way to accomplish this 🙏
The recent Windows 10 Update (version 1803) clobbered my Adobe Audition. I have what I believe are the identical settings for Audition on a Windows 10 version 1709 that works fine. But with the latest version of Windows 10, when I try to record I get and Input Device Error dialogue box with the message "Undefined external error."Any suggestions for how to solve this? Has anybody else run into this problem? I'm running an old version of Audition 1.5 (build 4124.1).
