Hello All,I'm VERY new to Adobe Audition (12.1.5.3 - Mac running Catalina). I had used Audacity for the longest time but Audacity can not run on Catalina. I'm learning my way through this. I have a large recorded audio file. All I want to do is separate the file into multiple tracks and export them to individual files with their own ID3 tags. Thus far I've been able to open the file in multi track, trim down and edit the tracks the way I want to. I've also figured out how to export them as single files. The thing driving me CRAZY is adding the ID3 tags to each exported file. Can someone PLEASE PLEASE PLEASE help me out? I've searched up and down the net and literally have found zero resouces to help me.Thanks in advance for your help!
I'm making an audiobook to submit to ACX. I processed my files and set them to ACX requirements using Match Loudness. I uploaded the files and now a couple weeks later I got a notice that my peaks were over-spec on 3 of a dozen files. I rechecked those files using Amplitude Statistics and they are not over-spec. But then I zoomed in on my wave form and looked along it and saw that indeed I had one area where the peaks were too loud. Why is the statistics giving errors? Is it just giving an AVERAGE peak? Hmm, that doesn't make sense -- a peak is a peak. What am I doing wrong or misunderstanding about Match Loudness? I just now tested Match Loudness again and ran the file through it (again) for a Peak Amplitude of -3db -- and it reduced that one area of loudness properly. I wonder why it didn't do it before? ...But it also reduced everything else! Rats! I wish it only reduced the peaks to fit -- jeez, isn't that was adjusting the Peak Amplitude is supposed to do? I then tried
Hi all,I'm running into a very odd problem, and I don't know what to make of it. Any guidance would be appreciated. This morning, I opened up an audio project I'm working on in Audition, and realized the left channel wasn't working. I had just worked in this project on Friday with no problems, so I assumed my headphones had bitten the dust. But after playing other stereo audio on my computer in other programs without a problem, and experiencing the same issue in Audition with a different pair of headphones, I realized the issue seemed to be limited to Audition. To be clear, the audio files are all in stereo, and the visuals within Audition show equal levels for the left and right channels, but the left just isn't coming through. I experimented by re-opening several of my completeted and archived Audition projects--none of them had the left channel, even though they'd been finalized previously without a problem. When I listen to the exported audio from those projects in other programs (V
Hi there! I have some audio that was recorded on a 4K camera in an office. There is an echo sound whenever there is dialogue in the clip. How can I remove this? Thank You!
OK Gurus. I've been using Audition / Cool Edit Pro for years but I've come across something that has me stumped. I use Audition for recording vinyl records on to my computer. Usually it's pretty straight forward but I've encountered a problem with one record that I don't know an easy fix for. This particular record is fine on the A side. On the B side, however, everything is slightly off centre. Almost as though the record wasn't quite in the centre when the record was being cut. The result is that the record doesn't rotate evenly. While it's playing you can see it wobble as it rotates. So with every rotation the music speeds up and slows down slightly. Just enough to sound annoying (even though it's almost perfectly in time with the beat due to the rotation speed almost matching the bpm of the song). Is there an easy way to adjust the speed to get it consistent? The only ways I can think of would be too difficult to be viable.
Hello there,I have a very weird (and very irritating) bug in adobe audition.Whenever I export my multitrack file, the mp3 is way longer than the time selection (see screenshots below for all the steps I take).1: select time frame of 14.372: file - export - multitrack mixdown - time selection3: these settings4: resulting file in explorer is 18.30; the file is silent after 15.30 (so it's not only too long, but it's also stretched out?)5: resulting file in AA is 14.27I have the same problem if I choose (in step 2) for 'entire session' instead of 'time selection'.Any help would be very much appreciated, because all my clients (and hence, me 😉 get rather confused and irritated about it. Thanks!PS I use this version of AAAll the best,Inge
I recorded an entire song with many layers. I spent twelve, consecutive hours recording this. After saving everything numerous times, I closed out of the program and when I opened it back up a couple days later, every audio file lost the audio and was replaced by flat lines as if nothing was ever recorded. How do I get my recordings back? And more importantly, how do I ensure this will not happen again in the future? Thank you in advance for any assistance.Garrett
When I am editing an audio file, the red line that shows were the audio is playing . . . use to go to the right, and the audio would continue to the right along with the red line. But now, when the red line gets close to right, it goes off the screen and reappears back at the beginning of the screen along with audio.Does anyone know how I can change it back to show the screen continuing to the right along with the red line?SincerleyDean H.

Hi: I have been looking into getting the Adobe Audition 2020. Amazon offers a one year subscription for $239.00 for one year. Is that the best value I can get? Concerning the software, does the latest version contain The Compressor, Expander and Limiter effects? I am looking to remove artifacts from music files. Does this software do a good job at doing this. Is it easy to do so? Thanks in advance. Ed
Hi, I'm very new to Audtion, but learning. We have a podcast I am trying to edit. The audio when imported is split. One voice is on the left channel, one voice is on the right channel. It's not like this when you listen to the audio out file in QuickTime. But if you listen to it in Audtion, the tracks are split. Any help would be much appreciated. thanks, Dean.
Hello, my microphone has very bad quality. It worked fine on my other computer, but since I changed it to my laptop, the quality isn't good anymore. I have no idea what to do, if I'm supposed to install something to improve the quality...I don't know. Clearly I'm new to all of this haha. Could anyone please help me?

Newbie here. A lot of video viewers complain that the text-to-speech in video editors sounds robotic and unnatural. It appears to also be the case with Adobe software after listening to the function in YouTube videos talking about Adobe software such as Audition. Amazon Polly (Text-To-Speech) claims to have natural sounding and life-like speech and that appears to be the case. Can I upload Amazon Polly Text-To-Speech into Adobe products such as Audition, Captivate and Adobe Premiere Pro? Is a plugin or other software required to do so? Is there a tutorial on how to do so? Thank you.
When increasing the volume of short bursts of sound, it no longer sounds like the original afterward, which is very poor. I used the Widget or whatever you call it on the screen with +0 dB on it. How can I make the sound louder that matched the fidelity of the not so loud sound? Thanks
Hello Adobe community,I had a very interesting problem that I still can’t find a solution to. The point is that when I record a voice in Adobe Audio Audition, there is a lot of superfluous in the recorded sound .. Let's say some strange sounds or saliva or clicks, well, something like that .. As I understand it, my microphone, RODE-NT | USB is very sensitive and records sounds that make my voice not clear, but with small extra sounds like clicks and so on .. Is it even possible in this program to make them non-existent or at a minimum? Well, or make my microphone less sensitive to voice. I will be extremely grateful to your answer! Thanks one more time,KirkinS
If anyone could help me figure out how to remove the static from the airconditioner and amplify the voices and make them real clear I would be very thankful here they short file
Hi, My soundfloor has gone from -60 to the mid -40s. Please help! Nothing has changed except the upgrade. I tried tweaking the gate on my interface to no avail.
I have solo'd one track and panned it hard left. When I monitor it with in-ear monitors, I can still hear some audio in the opposite channel. I have it panned at 100% Left and with my left monitor out of my ears, I still hear some of that track in the right channel. I double clicked on the file and in waveform view, I muted the right channel. Still didn't effect it. How can I get rid of that signal coming through the opposite channel?
Hi there,i use audition for the most of my audio work, I want to buy a control surface, but they all seem to be optimised for Logic, Pro Tools ect. Anybody know what would be the best one for compatibility for Audition? Thanks!
Serriez vous me guider 😉 ? Merci par avance.

Hi there, I am currently working on voice-overs in Audition, the recording was captured on an iPhone and sent to me, however, they contain a subtle echo and sound very flat. The main objective is to make the voice-overs sound like they were recorded outside in a city space. I was wondering how I could go about making this? Your help will be most appreciated, any questions feel free to ask.
Hi, i am facing the following problem. I created a multitrac session in Audition. I mixed a file, it simply is a skateboard driving from right to left. The file was recorded using one LR mic and one Mono mic. Everything sounds absolutely perfect in Audition, means if i listen to the track it goes from the right speaker to the left one. But after exporting it as a stereo file it is Mono only. means: I hear exactly the same out of both speakers, no panning (sound does not go from right to left) anymore. If i open the exportet file back in Audition it playes back just fine. What am i doing wrong? Thanks a lot
