I'm using Audition CC. Whenever I use the razor tool to cut a clip into smaller sections in previous projects it has changed the new clip to a different color and cycled through the rainbow. When I have done this in my current project, it only alternates between yellow and purple. How do I fix this so I can actually see thee different sections of clips? I've tried toggling the "randomly assign color" option in the preferences menu and it hasn't made a difference.
Hello everyone! I have been working a sound design project for a while now and at the end of the day, I have always made a new folder labeled the date and then performed the Save As function also labeling the session with the corresponding date. So, for example, Session_01_01_01 was the first session and I saved it in a folder titled 01/01/01. The next day, Save As Session 01_02_01 in folder 01/02/01 and so on. Each folder has the session file (.sesx) and the corresponding Backup folder, Bounced Files folder, Conformed Files folder, and the Imported Files folder... until today.Today I went to Save As just like all other days and I get the imported files but nothing else... No .sesx file, no backups, no folders... nothing. As far as I know, nothing has changed since yesterday's session and I cannot for the life of me, figure out what is going on. Has anyone else experienced this "glitch"? I have tried File>Export Session making sure I have the Save Copies of Associated Files bo
Hello Everyone.I have a 20 Minutes Interview Clip, and my friend, he wants me to Burn It to a CD, and later Email him the Clip.Which output version you recommend for Burning to a CD, and later Exporting for Emailing or Texting.Thank you very much.
So I have these WAV files. They were recorded by somebody using unknown equipment. But I have them now and need to edit them. Problem is, they don't open in Audition (not CC 2019, CC218, or CS6.) First, I get this:When I hit OK, it opens to a 0:00-long blank file. Now, when I open it in something terrible like Audacity, it opens just fine. How embarrassing!Anyone know what's up with that, or how to fix it (besides re-saving it from with Audacity, etc.)?Title was edited by: Mod

Hello. I recently purchased RX7 Standard (primarily for sibilance and mouth-click correction). I'd be grateful if you could point me in the direction of the most user-friendly resources (I'm not a tech geek, but love you guys) to learn how to use RX7 with Audition. Thank you so much!
Using Audition CC 2019 (v12.0.1.34). I have three pre-recorded tracks: Guitar Direct; Guitar Mic; Vocal Mic. I apply the echo fx on just the Guitar Direct track. Yet, the Vocal mic track is also receiving the "echo effect". How do I fix this?
Recently, I discovered dynamic linking Premiere Pro with audition and this has caused me to be undecided about which process is better. Before this discovery, I used to export the video file and import it into audition as a reference file while doing my sound design in the multitrack. When I am done, I mixdown the session and import it as a single audio track into Premiere Pro. The sound design work I do is for animation which means I have a lot of audio clips to work with. When I used dynamic link, it was fairly the same process except when I export back into Premiere Pro all tracks with their clips are imported. I personally like my premiere pro interface to not have so many audio tracks and such. I feel that the dynamic link is for editors who want to do some quick audio work and not for complex sound design. Basically I want to know what exactly peoples thoughts are on this and why they would or wouldn't prefer using dynamic link.Thanks.
Hi,I downloaded and installed version 12 of Adobe Audition. When I import an audio file into audition and start playing nothing happens. I can not play an audio file in Audition !With the 2017 version everything was ok.if someone can help me.Thanks
As the title suggests. Can Audition detect areas where you don't speak for a few seconds and automatically delete them? I would assume you would select the duration of silence Adobe would search for.And have a some sort of volume parameters as well, since theres bound to be background noise to consider. I feel like I may be looking for a Unicorn? But it also seems like a simple feature to create. I've just can't find any information about it if it exists. Thanks for any information on this. Plug-ins, etc,Regards

HelloI have several dozen audio cassettes from the 1970s. On most of the converted tapes to digital the audio is faint. In order to work on the audio I can get started if I increase Amplification +25Is there another approach to increase audio so that I can work on the material?I am thinking that by increasing Amplification greater than +20 I increase hidden distortions.Let me know if there is a method to increase the volume without damage. Here is an audio sample as is. Thanks!
Does anyone know where I could purchase tutorials for Adobe Audition 3.0?Sincerely,Dean H
Hello.A friend and I spent the whole evening recording in a multitrack session. After the recording was done, we were not able to either save the session, nor export it. The options was greyed out. Google searches taught us to change the output to master, but this didn't work. I an attempt to troubleshoot, I "accidentaly" opened another session to compare. I'm coming from the world of CAD and Solidworks, and if one were to open a new session in SW, it stacks up in a separate tab. When I did this in Audition, the session with all it's recordings disappeared, and the other session showed up with only one file. Now this other session is actually the original "new session" save file, the one you create when starting a brand new multitrack session, but now it only contains one file (out of dusins) which is also greyed out. In fear of lost work, we quickly found the backup folder and found a backup session with a time stamp of a session we know was "healthy" (from before I opened another ses
I have a problem with sending audio from audition to premiere pro and i'm not sure if it can be done. I have recorded several parts of a voice over for a video and i want to send them as they are to premiere pro. When I use the export to premiere pro, every track of the session will be exported as one single audio file. But i need the track to be send the way they are in audition, so i can change the cut and audio arrangement in premiere.
Hi y'all - I was working remotely on Friday 6/28 from three different planes and four different airports. I spent about 5-6 hours working on a 2-3 minute session that was scored with 6-7 stems. I have my Audition set to autosave and I 100% pressed save each time I opened a new session or closed out of the application. I also exported the final file, but didn't export the tracks separately as I thought it was saved.Evidently being on crap wi-fi means that you aren't getting the full saving experience to cloud. Really hoping that the session is saved on my device/hard drive somewhere? Now that I need to go back and make edits to the track, my session is no where to be found. Or rather, when I open the session in the Adobe folder that corresponds with the Imported Files folder (which has all tracks in it), it is a version from a few days previous, missing all files, and 6 hours of work down the drain. I was able to find about 10 different session files in the "Back Up" folder but none of
Audition loads up but will not play whatever track I choose.Any ideas?
So here’s my problem:I recorded some videos in OBS using a camera and external audio. I didn’t realize until after the fact that there was a hidden audio track that was also recording from the camera. This wouldn’t normally be a problem except I put an 800ms delay on my external audio track. This created a very noticeable echo on my final recording. Is there any possible way in Audition to correct this? The only (maybe) positive thing is that the audio track from the external source is a decent bit louder than the other audio source. Any tips, tricks, or miracles would be greatly appreciated.
We have Adobe Audition 3.0 which is no longer supported by Adobe. I have .pk files being created every time I create a wav file. Does anyone know how I can turn that off so the .pk's won't be created?SincerelyDean HIdaho, U.S.
I have an audio file with 2 seconds each of various sine wave frequencies. I am trying to insert 2 seconds of silence at the beginning. When I do that, the file plays the silence and then stops. I don't want it to stop. I want it to continue playing all the sine waves. When I insert the silence at the end, the sine waves play and it continues into playing the silence. I just can't get that to work when the silence is at the beginning. How do I get the silence at the beginning to play and continue playing the rest of the audio file with the sine waves?
Hi,I've got an aux cord coming from my MacBook into a Rode Videomic which I want to use to record within Adobe AuditionThe issue is I don't seem to be able to select it anywhere when going to the default inputhelp!
I've been experiencing playback lag and clicks after a few seconds of playback.I noticed this after updating macos to Mojave 10.14.5.Before it was working fine.Anyone experience this?
The Tempo (Bars and Beats) display for editing clips is useful... as long as you're only working with one tempo. Surely I'm mistaken in thinking the Tempo is saved in Audition's preferences, globally for the whole program? Is there a way to save it per session, or maybe even per clip? Where's the setting to have the timing display "start" at a specific point in the clip, where the audio really starts, as obviously not all clips have been recorded with 1:1.00 beat on the 0:00.000 timecode? I'm not even asking for multiple tempos per clip, which would be absolutely awesome for trickier multitrack syncing situations, but hey.[Edit] For those who are also looking for this: apparently there IS a per-clip or per-session setting [!], it's just hidden away in Properties for the clip or session.Once set there, the "Change Tempo" menu actually opens this panel to edit a local tempo, instead of the global one. So that's that.I'm still looking for a way to set the first beat at a specific point in
I hope someone can help me with this one. I did an interview with two lav mics and one of them in the middle of the recording started to present the repeated noise that shows in the image. I can't explain it in words to find the answer anywhere. It destroys the audio and I can't record it again! Does anyone have any idea how I can remove it? Thanks[Moderator note: moved to best forum.]
