Hey, everyone! I'm trying to use Audition in a Live-environment. So far it works really well, but I'm having issues being forced to monitor my Mic-track in order to have it appear on the master. As I'm using a couple of effects on that track, I'm getting too much latency which makes it impossible to talk while having to hear it. Is it possible to have the track send its data to the Master without having to monitor it (having the "I"-icon activated)? Tried fiddling with busses already, but no success. I see the level of the track even w/o monitoring, so I hope there is some possibility? Thanks a bunch and best regards,T
How does one numerically edit key frame volume in track envelope? If I want to change the key frames in the track envelope, I can't seem to edit them manually. If I move to a previous key frame, and then manually change the little blue volume number next to the volume circle, the key frame volume doesn't change. Why? I'd like to be able to edit the key frames numerically instead of changing them manually so that they are exact. Any suggestions? I'm new to Audition.
Is it possible on Audition to stick the cursor to the beginning of the clip when the previous clip is ripple deleted, so you don’t have to drag the timeline back to continue listening after the cut?In Reaper, you can create a macro so after ripple deleting it moves the cursor to the beginning of the current clip (element). Is it possible to do something like that on Audition?
Hi, my friend was recording someone for her research. She sent me that clip after coming home and realizing that she can barely hear her interviewee. I am a videographer so she sent me her audio file asking me if I could help. I have Audition CS6 on Win10. I must say that this is out of my league. She said that they were in a private meeting and the phone was on a table. The voices are completely muffled and it's hard to understand anything considering all the background noise. She needs it just for her research, so basically doesn't need quality audio, just to be able to understand the conversation. I've uploaded a part of the clip. https://vocaroo.com/i/s0h3eF8uNt9Z Thank you.
Hey guys!I'm fairly new here but not a total newb to the Audition world. I've been using Audition for about a month with a USB to PC mic set up and just recently switched to using an audio mixer. My microphones are Behringer and the mixer is also Behringer. I received my mixer and all the new cables on Friday, Jan. 25th. As soon as it arrived I set it all up and it worked like a charm. It was great. When I was done, I unplugged everything and put it away neatly. Two days later, today, I go back into my office and plug everything in the exact same way I had it on Friday...and Audition will not pick up any of the audio coming from my mixer. My mixer is definitely picking up sound, I can see it on the device, but my program is receiving none of it. I have been messing with settings for about an hour now and I'm pretty close to losing my entire mind.Help!-Chelsea
i have been struggling with an audiobook, trying to get consistent voice quality -- running files through Match Loudness - but not getting a consistent resonance, timbre, tone.... I really am asking someone to help me finish this interminable job, submit it and get paid so we can pay the rent. I'm in Studio City.
Hi!My workflow is filled with a lot of cuting out of the mass.So what i do, is I find a mistake/breath or something, cut it in half, fade out previous part, fade in next part. If I can select portion with an error, make some „magic“ and it will be cuted exactly in half, and from left it wil be fade-out, and on the right side fade in on the lenght of the selection of each pieces, that would save me like a 1-2 hours a day.Is there way, how to do this? Even with make it two part. You can see what I want to achieve on video: https://youtu.be/P8KhUZXinE4Is there a way? Thank you!
So I have some 32-channel files and my last batch processing step will be to save only the first 4 channels. I know that I could write some python script to do this outside Audition. But there are other operations that need to be done in Audition so I want to also put this last step in the one batch to make it simple. When I do this by hand, I usually disable all other channels but the first 4, right click->save to new, and manually save the new track with the 4 channels. However, this process cannot be recorded by 'favorites' so I don't know how to realize this with batch process. Is there any workaround? Thanks.
I was recording a gameplay let's play for LIS2, and i was about an hour and a half into it, when audition crashed, when i wanted to continue the session audition keeps crashing. I need that recording, i can't do it again. Please help!
How do I add hundreds of audio files in a batch and normalize to be the same db level?[Title changed to be more informative - mod]

For a while now my R for record has been grayed out and I cannot select it.
I recorded an interview for a podcast via Skype, but when I try adding the audio I get a lot of clicking and feedback. I don't know exactly how to describe it, but it sounds like the interview has been stretched out and every other millisecond is filled with a click. Listening to the Skype interview itself, there is minimal feedback. But no clicking. Initially I believed this was caused by the quality of the recording. The audio from Skype is recorded in 16,000 Hz and the base sample rate for the podcast template is 41,200 Hz. So I tried two things:-Adding the audio. Audition would remind me the sample rate didn't match and it would have to make changes. I clicked okay, listened to the audio, and heard the clicking. I applied a pop and click filter. It had no effect. The audio quality remained awful.-As the sample rate is not something you can change within the template, I tried a editing the file in Sublime Text to change the sample rate to 16,000 Hz. Again, the audio quality remained
Hi guys. I always work maximizing a panel group and then restoring its size. Is there a shortcut to do that? I can't find a way to do It. Please Help!
So a few weeks ago I was positive I could do this after dynamic linking my video out of premiere into Audition. That I could drag select all of my audio clips and hit dialogue from the essential sound panel. I followed this tutorial: How to Use the Essential Sound Panel in Premiere Pro CC 2017 - YouTube This isn't working either in Audition or Premiere Pro. Is this a new bug? All of my CC apps are up to date.
Begging the Forum's indulgence, I'm greener at this than a freshly mowed golf course.I'm doing some test voice recordings for an anticipated podcast. I keep seeing that my voice dB levels are consistently "in the red" (-6 to 0). The playback, as you might imagine, is static-laden and sounds just awful.I'm not crowding my Rodent microphone and I'm speaking in a normal conversational voice (i.e., I'm not broadcasting into the microphone, rather letting it do the work).Moving away from the mic doesn't help--it hurts. Sounds like, well, I've moved further way from the mic!Looking for some help from the more experienced Audition Users and sound technicians here on what I need to do to make this better. Is there an adjustment in Audition for this (probably), where is it and how is it used?My thanks in advance.
Hi All. I bought a new USB microphone, but I have problem with voice recording. My voice after record looks distorted/ like with hard limiter on voice. I'm tried to use ASIO, change mic config, uninstall and install mic drivers and still nothing. On another USB mic everything is okay.. So, Is it a bug of my new microphone? Is there any possibility to fix it?Screens:Record number. 1https://i.imgur.com/AWG7Xbk.png Record number. 2 (I change mic gain here)https://i.imgur.com/axaa0IM.png Record number. 3 on another USB michttps://i.imgur.com/IBPy159.png Thanks for any help.
I am trying to open a raw file in CS6. it tells me this file is not supported. isnt camera raw built in to CS6?
Editing in multitrack, use the razor tool and then need to trim my cut. If I try to left click drag (trim) after I cut, it goes to waveform view (like I double clicked on the multitrack clip). My current workaround is razor tool, move cursor around, then trim. It gets really annoying when I have hundreds of cut-trim operations.I feel like audition should know not to go to waveform view on a click if the trim tool is showing, or that the razor click should not count as the first click of a double click.Anyone else have this problem? Any advice would be appreciated[Here is the list of all Adobe forums... https://forums.adobe.com/welcome][Moved from generic Cloud/Setup forum to the Audition forum... Mod]
Could we please get Move, Razor and Slip in Waveform mode please....in the next update.I'm befuddled as to how these are not waveform feature. These are stock standard waveform editing tools in most DAWs.I'll now need to adjust my workflow to use other applications 😞
Looking for some help with using the Zoom F4 Audio Interface with Adobe Audition CC. For some reason, when I play back my ASIO 4 multi-channel recording, the background of the audio is bad which is weird since when I am recording it sounds perfect. Also when I switch back to my Windows PC speakers no sound comes out. I have no problems when I record in MME with one microphone. For some extra information: I am using the Samson Q2U Microphones and a Surface Book. I'm new to this audio world, so it is probably me not understanding the correct settings for the Zoom F4 or Audition or both.
I discovered a very strange thing when editing my files in audition. If I change and save the file in audition, it plays as a mono file in the finder. When I open it again in Audition it is stereo. Other files that I did not edit in Audition, play stereo in the finder. It may not matter, but it is strange and somewhat disconcerting. Has anyone else experienced this? I am concerned the file may play mono in some other programs. Should I be concerned?
I have a Stereo Multitrack session with 3 tracks that should all be playing stereo. When I export the entire session (or just timeline selection), Track 1 is only heard in the left channel, whereas Tracks 2 and 3 are properly heard in both L and R.What am I doing wrong or is this a bug?Track 1 is a stereo track that contains edited clips of the left channel only of a stereo sourceTrack 2 is a stereo track that contains a stereo music trackTrack 3 is a stereo track that contains a mono voice-over clip that was recorded in Audition. When I play the session on the timeline, all three tracks mix to stereo and can be heard in both L and R speakers. Despite the clips on Track 1 being from a stereo source, I have only dragged the left channel from that source onto the timeline. So with no other changes to the track, the clips on Track 1 all play in both the L and R speaker equally. All three tracks are panned to the center (default). I do have some insert effects on the tracks, but even if I re
I am a sound engineer who records podcasts for a University. I prefer to use a Multi Track Audition . for my recorder. But something has recently happened that causes my sessions to crash. All of a sudden on mic 1, while recording it places vertical bars along Track 1. Even if I am only recording Track 4. I'm not sure how I selected that option, but it has definitely started crashing and now I am having to use Logic b/c of Audition's unreliabilityHow do I get rid of those vertical bars on Track 1 and return to normal?
I accidentally clicked something somewhere that limits the volume of all of my inputs. I thought it was the hard limiter in effects, but it isn't I can't figure out how to change the settings back so that I can go beyond the limit.
