Audition

I am trying to open a raw file in CS6. it tells me this file is not supported. isnt camera raw built in to CS6?

Editing in multitrack, use the razor tool and then need to trim my cut.  If I try to left click drag (trim) after I cut, it goes to waveform view (like I double clicked on the multitrack clip).My current workaround is razor tool, move cursor around, then trim.  It gets really annoying when I have hundreds of cut-trim operations.I feel like audition should know not to go to waveform view on a click if the trim tool is showing, or that the razor click should not count as the first click of a double click.Anyone else have this problem?  Any advice would be appreciated[Here is the list of all Adobe forums... https://forums.adobe.com/welcome][Moved from generic Cloud/Setup forum to the Audition forum... Could we please get Move, Razor and Slip in Waveform mode please....in the next update.I'm befuddled as to how these are not waveform feature. These are stock standard waveform editing tools in most DAWs.I'll now need to adjust my workflow to use other applications 😞

Looking for some help with using the Zoom F4 Audio Interface with Adobe Audition CC. For some reason, when I play back my ASIO 4 multi-channel recording, the background of the audio is bad which is weird since when I am recording it sounds perfect.  Also when I switch back to my Windows PC speakers no sound comes out. I have no problems when I record in MME with one microphone. For some extra information: I am using the Samson Q2U Microphones and a Surface Book. I'm new to this audio world, so it is probably me not understanding the correct settings for the Zoom F4 or Audition or both.  

I discovered a very strange thing when editing my files in audition. If I change and save the file in audition, it plays as a mono file in the finder. When I open it again in Audition it is stereo. Other files that I did not edit in Audition, play stereo in the finder. It may not matter, but it is strange and somewhat disconcerting. Has anyone else experienced this? I am concerned the file may play mono in some other programs. Should I be concerned?

I have a Stereo Multitrack session with 3 tracks that should all be playing stereo. When I export the entire session (or just timeline selection), Track 1 is only heard in the left channel, whereas Tracks 2 and 3 are properly heard in both L and R.What am I doing wrong or is this a bug?Track 1 is a stereo track that contains edited clips of the left channel only of a stereo sourceTrack 2 is a stereo track that contains a stereo music trackTrack 3 is a stereo track that contains a mono voice-over clip that was recorded in Audition.When I play the session on the timeline, all three tracks mix to stereo and can be heard in both L and R speakers. I am a sound engineer who records podcasts for a University. I prefer to use a Multi Track Audition . for my recorder. But something has recently happened that causes my sessions to crash.All of a sudden on mic 1, while recording it places vertical bars along Track 1. Even if I am only recording Track 4. I'm not sure how I selected that option, but it has definitely started crashing and now I am having to use Logic b/c of Audition's unreliabilityHow do I get rid of those vertical bars on Track 1 and return to normal?

I accidentally clicked something somewhere that limits the volume of all of my inputs. I thought it was the hard limiter in effects, but it isn't I can't figure out how to change the settings back so that I can go beyond the limit.

I've been trying to manually enter a Duration time in the Stretch and Pitch window, and it's not working.  For example, I want to enter a time of 19 minutes and 15 seconds.  I enter 19, then a colon, and I start to enter 15, but as soon as I press the number 1 key, the total duration fills out at 19 minutes, 00.999 seconds and the cursor jumps back to the left end of the number.  I put the cursor on the first zero and hit the delete key, nothing gets deleted and the cursor jumps to the left end of the number.  But what's weird is that the duration changes from 19:00.999 to 19:00.998.  Every time I go back to the first zero and hit the delete key, the fraction goes down by 1.  If I put the cursor between the two zeros and hit the delete key, same thing, cursor moves to the beginning of the number and the fraction goes down by 1.  I try to put the cursor on the first zero and type a '1' without hitting the delete and the duration changes to 20:40.998!&n

I recorded some tracks in Audition using my Scarlet 2i2 audio interface. The next day I wanted to play some of those tracks back and opened audition. I connected my computer to some external speakers via my stereo jack port in my macbook pro. When I plugged it in, my computer made the LOUDEST maxed out sound it could probably make and it didn't stop till I quit Audition. It scared the hell out of me and seems to have damaged my speakers--high frequencies are crackling now. I just got this laptop so I'm really bummed out. My question is: 1. Why the hell did that happen?2. I'm hoping to "fix" my speakers if I can, but I'm not sure whether I'm liable. Has anyone else every experienced this? I wondered if it was a default clock setting in the audio hardware that went to a weird setting since the Scarlett 2i2 was no longer connected. Ugh..I'm going to talk to Apple too, but I assume they're going to tell me it's my fault. This sucks. Any advice appreciated.-Tom

I'm using Audition in conjunction with Premiere Pro CC2019 with Dynamic Link.  For some reason, Audition is not registering the actions I am taking on the file.  And I've noticed that the Undo/Redo are greyed out.  Any ideas about why this might be happening?

Hi guys!. I'm having this problem: Recorded for the first time my audio from my analog mixer into my computer using audition using a USB soundcard. I did this because my digital recorder died. I had to turn the levels all the way down in my mixer because it recorded everything very loud. I got a really good sound but now I have a lot of "pops?" in m "t"s. A lot of them. I put a picture of the problem. Is there a way I can fix it in adobe? Maybe I have to configure it right before recording right into adobe?Any insights?

Weird.An export of wav or mp3 of a simple sound file will start off silent and eventually become audible somewhere down the line...super annoying.I've tried 'trashing' the Application Settings.xml and App Prefs.xml files and get no change in the weirdness.Any ideas on how to fix it?Can I reset Audition to it's original state somehow?Thanks for reading...

I used the "Edit in Audition" function of Adobe Premiere to work on a timeline. I'm able to scrub through it in Audition, and make edits, but the instant I press "play", it crashes. Not sure what the problem could be, any ideas would be helpful! Thanks!

I have 4 cases open with Adobe, all for the same topic, and they keep marking them "resolved" without EVER replying, or even helping.  Some awful person took control of my computer, did next to nothing, and said they would call back.  Well, that was over a week ago.  Insane how much you pay for this sub-par software, and get no support. Anyways.Does anyone know how to ensure your Focusrite Scarlette 2i2 has 0 latency, rather than the HUGE 30ms latency it's stuck on?  I don't even have an option to go lower, and (not to humble brag) my computer is top notch.  I tried everything I can find online, and nothing.  Guitar is direct in, and never less than 30ms latency.  Awful.Also, each time I stop recording it highlights and selects the section I just recorded.  Can I turn this god awful feature off?Thank you for any help this community can give, as Adobe isn't taking anything I do seriously.  I've been on hold for 32 minutes tonight trying to ge

I grabbed a 44.1/160k Mp3 file into Au Multitrack and added some basic eq and verb. I created 3 tracks and did some panning tricks. When I export it the tempo and pitch are lower than the original. It sounds what is known as " Chopped & Screwed ".How can i stop that from happening?

Hi,I'm using a Steinberg UR12 2 channel interface.   I'm trying to record a bass guitar track over a song (stereo MP3) that my friend sent me.I've imported the MP3 and have it on Track 1.I'm trying to record the bass on Track 2.   Set the Input to the Steinberg Chanel 1.    When I arm Track 2 and then hit 'record', not only does Track 2 record the bass guitar, but it's also recording the Stereo file in Track 1 as well with the mono bass track onto Track 2.    I've updated Adobe.   And have installed the latest firmware for my Steinberg.   Nothing I'm trying seems to be able to fix this?    What is Track 1 being re-routed as an input onto Track 2?   

Previous versions of Audition did not have this problem. When I go into waveform view to edit a clip in a session with video, the video panel turns black.I'm currently sound-editing a feature film.  I need to remove crew footsteps from a quiet scene.  Ordinarily, this is no problem.  Just go into the spectral editor, and paint out every footstep that doesn't belong to the cast.  It takes just a few minutes to do a whole scene, when you can actually see what the cast is doing.  But trying to work blind like this is absolutely impossible.Anyone have any ideas?Windows 10 ProIntel Core i7-7700K 4.2 GHz16 GB DDR DDR5nVidia GeForce RTX 2070

I recorded an interview with two microphones, and I probably messed up the setting on the Zoom H5, because when I listen to it in the multitrack setting, it only has my voice, and the other person recorded with my microphone in the distance, very low volume.When I switch to the waveform and listen to it there, both channels are fine, and I hear us equally loud.What can I do to fix this?Thanks in advance for any reply, I guess I will have to mono mix it somehow. I've edited audio from a lot of situations, but sometimes we just aren't lucky enough to get room tone at all. I've had a number of cases where I manually went in and deleted audio that's over a certain amplitude to try to create my own room tone, and it's a very lengthy process.The benefits of having room tone are endless. Having the ability to generate roomtone that matches your audio clip would be a huge bonus. Especially with the Essential Sound panel having noise reduction. Reducing noise is great, but sometimes you'd want to fill in the silence you've created with some natural room tone. Or perhaps you're shooting ADR and want to mix it in with stuff recorded live. Hi,I was working on a multitrack session (about 12 tracks) and made sure I hit "Save" every once in a while, as well as when I was done for the day.Next day I saw that Audition had quit unexpectedly. When reopening yesterday's project, it appeared empty. All the recorded files were piled upin the left upper corner, but not inside the session. So I recompiled it again. It took a while, as some of the bits were not starting at 0'.A couple of days later the story repeated with a slight change - this time the session only had first three tracks in place out of 12 that were there when I finished working on it last. It seems that Audition had restored an earlier auto-saved version of the session, because I had muted 2 of those 3 these tracks when last working on the project.I tried to open the .sesx files from "Backup" folder, but the result was always the same - three tracks, the rest missing.Has anyone experienced anything similar? Any idea where could all the saved versions have gone? tec

So for my podcast I interviewed someone on skype. At the end of the recording I played it back in Skype and the whole hour was there. Now when I saved it and opened it up in Audition CC, the audio stops after like 8 minutes. So basically for the first 8 minutes there is audio and waves and for the rest of the 52 minutes there is silence and no waves. I have no clue what I am doing wrong and I did convert it from an MP4 to and MP3. Here is a photo of what it looks like. Can I get some help?

Le but rechercher est d'automatiser l'effet pour l'appliquer seulement à certains endroits.J'automatise donc la piste bus en choisissant l'option "Mixage du rack". Tout fonctionne parfaitement.Seulement si je ferme le logiciel et que je relance la lecture, les automations ont disparues et l'effet s'applique de nouveau sur toute la piste.Ma question est la suivante, comment faire pour enregistrer mes automations?
