I do I actually take reverb out of a file pleasE?to make it just a bit more "tinny", less roomy rumbley? Thanks
When I am mixdown my session, my track effects, most notably the master track effects, are not being applied during mixdown
So I do some post-production audio work on short documentaries that are edited in Premiere Pro. I usually send the audio from Premiere to Audition to fine-tune it, you know clean up pops, some light compression, noise reduction, etc. Then I send it back to Premiere as individual stem tracks, combine it with the visuals and export. Right now when the multitrack is exported, the levels for the stems are much louder and it looks like the compression that I added to the master track in Adobe Audition isn't working. Does anyone know what's up?

I recently downloaded Adobe Audition for the purpose of trying out the 7 day free trial before buying the product. However, every time I hit Start Trial, I keep getting "An Error has occurred" message and can't proceed. Anyone know how I could go about fixing this?
Hi all, Anything I'm trying to playback on Audition sounds like muted/garbled static. Everything is running fine out of garage band-- so it's not my mic (rode nt1a) or preamp (focusrite scarlett). Thoughts? Help!
Hey everyone, can I use Audition like a DAW? Can I record midi files? Is it VST compatible? Can I record (ideally) NIs - Komplete 12 - instruments with a keyboard? Of course I could get Cubase or Ableton etc. but since I have the CC I would like to check if that is necessary. Best, Manuel [Moved from generic Start/Help forum to the specific Program forum... I am installing my old Audition 1.5 (it is working on my old Win 10 machine) on a new Win 10 machine and it's telling me that I need to check manufacturer for an updated version. I seached and found that there was a free upgrade to version 3 as of last year but I can't find a download link for it. I have the 1.5 serial number and my old Adobe customer number.I did find this thread from this forum that describes how to activate version 3 but I still need a download link.https://community.adobe.com/t5/Audition/I-need-to-reinstall-Audition-1-5/m-p/9726149#M11524Can anyone help? Thanks
Wondering if anyone has any experience/opinion regarding copyright and sound files synthesized using Audition's Generate>Speech effect. I found some discussion (https://ttsreader.com/blog/2017/05/10/copyright/) specific to Google's speech API which suggests that as long as the text used to generate the speech was mine, I would hold the copyright on the resulting audio. This example though makes reference to Google's EULA. I can't find anything from Adobe related to synthesized audio content.
Do I have to try and uninstall Catalina? Every app under the CS6 suite has a no entry sign on it now.
Hey Everyone!I'm recording a 4 channel podcast using Adobe Audition and a Behringer interface. We started to film our podcasts and I've noticed that the audio we are recording in Audition falls out of sync with the video when editing in Premiere. I've also noticed every so often there are very minor pop/clicks in the audio recording that seem coincide with the sync issues.I've never had these issues when recording on an external audio device such as the h4n, so I'm fairly confident the issue is coming from Audition. Additionally, I've tried 3 different interfaces (2 Behringer & 1 Presonus) and the issue still occurs.I've been able to fix this issue by going through my timeline and manually syncing the Audition audio to the camera audio, but I would like to fix this so I don't have to do that. Has anyone else had this problem and found a solution? If not, do any of you audio engineers have any possible solutions? Here's an example of a pop/click that I believe
HELLO! I would like to be able to record at least 4 inputs at once into Audition. What mixers and other devices will I need to do this? I am on an old 17" MacBook Pro and I have one mic jack and a few USBs Is all I have onboard. I am hoping to record a whole drum kit at once. Any tips or advice would be much appriciated! I have been looking st the Behringer Q1202USB 12-Channel Mixer because it can be used for my live PA as well but there is only a left and right channel that gets sent to the computer, so something similar to this would be helpfu!
I'm making a video voiceover for the first time using Audition, so I'm quite new to it.I recorded using the Waveform view and it sounded perfect. However, I then entered Mulitrack view to add a music bed, and now the voice track includes the sounds of my breaths and some other background hiss, and it's really loud and distracting. I go back to Waveform view, and the breathing is gone. How do I get the track in Multitrack to sounds like it does in Waveform?
Hi, guys! Not an expert in audio editing, just want to know if it is even possible to clean such a file (attached) to more or less listenable condition?
A post I put in the lounge to suggest one method of improving auto ducking.https://community.adobe.com/t5/The-Lounge/Tutorial-Better-automated-ducking-for-music-behind-voice-overs/m-p/10668697
Dear Audition dev team,These days loudness normalization is one of the hot topics in audio. Most normalzing algorithms and peak limiters chop off anything above -1 dBFS.Please add an adaptive phase rotator to auto fix waveform asymmetry. Thanks!
No ID3 metatdata is being written to my files when I export a recorded .wav file as .flac file? When I open the exported .flac file in my ID3 tag editor, the onlt data present is the filname in the 'Title' field, nothing else? My process: I'm editing the ID3 data for my recoded .wav files and saving them, this retains the information when I load the .wav file back into Audition. I then batch export multiple .wav files as .flac files (with 'Include markers and other metadata' checked) but when I open the exported .flac files in an external ID3 tag editor, ALL the data is missing? This is a real headache.
Audition hangs for a long time on start up now that I have upgraded to Mac OS Catalina. It takes five minutes to start and seens to be hung at "initializing AuUI". See log file

Hi everybody.I would like to create a region with markers while recording. For example, pressing F6 for starting a region and F7 for ending a region. Is it possible? Any trick?Or do I have to wait for this feature hoping it will be added?Than you. Stefano
Admittedly a n00b question (TYIA) -- I was using Audacity until I upgraded my Mac to Catalina... Now Audacity no longer works on my Mac, so I downloaded Audition. It's a litttttttle more robust than I need -- I'm just recording and "baby editing" a podcast and guided meditations and things. That said -- the volume in one little part of my first recording is too loud.I've selected the section, but can only figure out how to adjust volume of the whole track. Doing some googling, I found out there's supposed to be this handy little HUD bar --- but it's nowhere to be found.I've tried going to View and toggling it on and off, and I just simply don't see where it is. At all. It's most definitely not hovering above the track Editor the way everyone says it should be. Hellllp? I feel like this should be so obvious, but it's driving me absolutely nuts. EDIT: Just found it. Only in the Waveform tab, not in the Multi-track tab. Ahhhhhh. Victory. 😉 #n00b
