Audition

Hello This is my first visit here.i have been using Adobe products for years without too much grief but now i have a problem.When i go to export or save a file to my desktop or anywhere else for that matter i get a message saying that the designated place no matter where is used by the operating system ..i have had their support teams taking over my computer but still no luck...i have uninstalled and reinstalled but i get the same message.....does anybody have any ideas??/ thank you!

I will try to explain myself as clear as possible.Before the latest update of Audition (12.1.0.182) I used to edit spatial audio files in Audition, to be used later in Premier for 360 VR video sound (ambisonics). Now the files created by my recorded (H2n) are no longer read properly and instead of being read as a 4 track file, this current version of Audition reads them as a stereo file.Also, I tried to mixdown a multitrack file of four separate mono files into an ambisonic file but Audition only gives the option of MONO, STEREO and 5.1 files.As I create VR videos for a living, this change is becoming not only disappointing but rather frustrating.What am I doing wrong?

I have purchased a license for Dolby and it has been working fine with Adobe Audition and Media Encoder and Encore. I've had a few hiccups when Adobe 'upgrades/updates' something and breaks it, but I've never had an error like this.I'm able to export AC3 files without a problem using Media Encoder (in the past, when things got broken, that's where the issue lay). And I've been able to make Blurays on Encore. But when I burn and play them, it's video only, no audio.So I tried to open the AC3 file in Audition, to verify that there was indeed audio on the tracks. And instead of opening, I now get the following warning: Apple AudioToolbox was unable to create a converter between the input and output formats for the specified file. Error Code: 'fmt?'Not sure where the problem lies, with an update in Adobe or if Apple has gone weird on me...any ideas?

New user to Audition CC and I must have hit a keyboard shortcut accidentally. When I am editing one a track in a multitrack session, as it is playing, sometimes I work ahead of the cursor, highlighting a breath or a pickup and doing a deletion on the fly before the cursor gets to that point. However, since I accidentally activated something, the cursor will now jump to what I have highlighted and do a looping playback of what I have highlighted. I want to know how to stop the cursor from jumping to what I am highlighting. It only happens when I am editing ahead of the moving cursor. It doesn't jump when I am not playing back while editing. All of the effects in the effects rack that were already in the software are gone and I do not know how to get them back, even my favorites list has also disappeared.I did nothing to the software for it to make everything I had disappear, I was legit using it like a couple of weeks ago... Please help me solve this thanks!!

HelloI recorded an audio file yesterday, and recorded an another file today.But if I put these two files together, It doesn't sound smoothly.You can easily catch out that these two are different. Is there any way to make it smooth with Adobe Audition?

Is there a way to automate the parameters of effects like you can in Soundtrack? For instance, in Soundtrack you can select what parameter you'd like to be able to automate in each effect, like Wet / Dry, for instance, and automate using Latch or Touch.

Trying to do a quick stereo-5.1 conversion. I know it's not ideal but in a crunch. I was wondering if anyone here had had success with any tools or plug-ins or a workflow that works. There's a free DCP creation tool called DCP-o-matic that does it so there MUST be some open source code out there. Most of the commercial stuff is like $400 which seems excessive. Thanks!

I just want to say thank you to Steve G for directing me here.This was my issue (below), but I resolved it, so posting in case it can be helpful to someone else who may experience the same.The lesson: Ensure you are always updated with your software and especially with the firmware and drivers of your sound card.I believe it was the updating of the sound card drivers that ultimately solved the issue.Audition 2019 just stopped working. I work pretty exclusively in wav files. When I open up a file it opens fine but does not play. None of the buttons respond. I opened up a new file to test recording and again, opens normal but nothing responds.I did notice a weird issue just this week that while listening to a wav file in Audition I opened up a PDF and the sound just stopped though it kept playing. Restarting the program fixed it so I just carried on thinking it was just a one time glitch. But it happened a few more times and now this. I've updated Audition just now, checked for updated f

When I turn on "Manual pitch correction", sharp peak noise comes up just after "play" as shown as above.I use Yamaha AG06 mixer, and "Yamaha Steinberg USB ASIO" for audio hardware.I can hear this noise from my speaker and headphone.If I change audio hardware "MME" and "Line" output, these noises are dissapeared.How can I fix this problem?

He leído que el soundshifter de waves es muy bueno. Me lo he descargado que es un dll pero lo ubico en una carpeta y cuando le digo  aaudition explorar plugins no lo encuentra. ¿Alguien sabe dónde lo puedo conseguir gratis y que funcione? al parecer cuesta 149 dolares-

I recently moved to Adobe CC. I must have inadvertently tapped a shortcut key because something is now happening when I edit in Multitrack and I would like to undo it. Before my inadvertent tap, I could highlight a portion of a file why it was playing, most of the time ahead of the moving cursor, and make a quick deletion of a breath or something before the cursor arrived at the point. Now, when I highlight something ahead of the cursor while it is playing, the cursor jumps to what I have highlighted and does a looping playback of what I have highlighted. Any idea how to restore things to whatever I am editing on the fly continues to play with jumping to what I have highlighted? Thank you!

HelloI need help to improve the vocal, an event talk from long ago.I did a normalize. I then did a noise reduction.I then found using Effects/Multi compressor/ Internet delivery - did help to improve slightly.I then attempted to use Filter/ Parametric Equalizer using notch 3 and 4. There I could make changes however the improvement was less than desirable.I would welcome a suggestion on how to improve this vocal that was aquired from a reel to reel tape recorded 1970. Hey y'all,I've recently picked up an ID14 and just realized, after like a month of recording, that I wasn't actually using the Audient ID14's native ASIO drivers. Now that I've switched over to them I can't seem to hear the playback on my monitor headphones plugged directly into the ID14. I can see the volume bar doing its thing in Audition 2019, but I'm not seeing it make it to the ID14's interface app on my desktop and I'm not getting any playback sound. I've done some googling but can't seem to find a clear answer on how to fix it. Any help on how to route the playback sound back through my monitors would be greatly appreciated, and thanks in advance!

Hi, I'm starting a project in Adobe Audition with lot of stuff in.We jumped our Premiere Pro Project into Audition to make the sound design efficiently and I having an issue over imported elements.We got more than 100 tracks.Some elements at the middle of our film are just accelerated. The sound isn't sync to the image anymore cause the element is speed up. I really don't understand where this problem come from. I'll say that the problem start at the middle of the movie and long till the end of the film.When I check the loaded file with VLC, there is no problem at all. But in Audition, it's speed up. There is no effect on anything cause I'm just starting the session.I don't know what information to add...And my deadlines are terribly short for the lenght of the project, so, this is an SOS, I don't have the time to mess with a really anoying problem...Thanks.

In Audition, I want to listen to my audio at twice the speed, so I use the controls J, K, and L. When I fast forward with L, the audio sounds high-pitched like a chipmunk, and played in normal speed it goes back to sounding normal. However, I can't really process what is being said at x2 speed and am forced to choose to listen in normal time.My question: Is there a way I can listen to my audio at x2 speed but still keep the original pitch in tact? To clarify, I don't want the final product to be sped up. I just have a lot of audio to listen to, so I'd like to do that sped up, but still be able to understand what's being said.For example, there was an update in Premiere that lets you listen to the audio at x2 the speed and the pitch integrity remains the same and doesn't sound high. So is this something I can edit in Preferences for Audition, or is this an update that only Adobe can fix?I apologize if this question has already been answered, but I don't know how else to best phrase my q

This may seem strange but this is what I would like to do. I want to take my old landline phone handset and use it as the microphone so I can do live podcasts with a caller on that type of phone with that type of phone. cost does not matter. I know there is a way via USB but getting it to the phone is the issue.Thank you

Hello, I just recently purchased BM-800 microphone and Phantom Power. I wanted to enhance my voice over with the help of Adobe Audition CC 2019. But I'm having a hard time to migrate Adobe Audition voice to windows default mic voice. I already followed the steps on Adobe Audition to select my output and input. Also, I installed already VAC(virtual audio cable) and sets as default. I tried to speak on my BM-800 but there is no waveform on my default VAC.MIC: BM-800 with Phantom PowerOUTPUT: SteelSeries Siberia v2 Frost Blue

Hello,I am running Adobe Audition CC Build 12.0.0.241.I am wondering if a setting exists to remove the tooltip showing the clip name that is shown while hovering a clip in the multitrack editor. I am editing a podcast and having it pop up with information that is already known is frustrating since it only distracts and annoys me. I have been searching online and flipping settings that might be related to it, but nothing seems to work.

Hi everyone. I have a really annoying problem with one of the videos from my client. The main problem is that whenever I playback his video in the media players (such as default Windows media player, VLC) it sounds OK and without any clipping. When I import it to Audition, Premiere Pro, iZotope RX or playback it through online OneDrive or Dropbox player the audio becomes much louder and clipped. Here is also the link to the video OneDrive (It's really loud, be careful). The client has the same problem with video playback on his side, so I highly doubt that it has to do something with the audio setup. Is this has to do something with codecs? Or video was recorded/rendered improperly? And most importantly, how to fix this problem? Thanks everyone for the answers.

Hello everyone - Here is the dilemma... recently getting the supplies I need to start a podcast. I originally had the MackieProFX12V12 mixer and realized that it wasn't exactly compatible with Adobe Audition CC. Next I bought the Behringer XENYX Q802 mixer and also bought (4) phantom power units for the 4 condenser microphones I have. It worked but it only allows for (2) outputs into Audition when recording so (2) mics are going to have to share one output and I won't be able to mix each mic individually that way. What USB compatible mixer would anyone recommend that allows for AT LEAST (4) separate inputs into Audition so I can record all (4) mics separately at once? I do have an Apogee Duet interface if I needed to use that with another mixer but would prefer to keep it simple with a USB interface right into the computer since this podcast will be mobile and eliminate set up and breakdown time. Any suggestions???
