Hello all, I am new to Audition and so excited for its ease of use! I have created a podcast trailer and it sounds just how I want it to. However, when I export to .wav or .mp3 and play the file through Itunes, the first 3 seconds are distorted. It's as if the distortion fades into the intended sound. Again, it doesn't sound like this when playing through my Multitrack in audition. As a result, I turned the power button (top one) off on my FX panel and exported. This worked great! Unfortunately, though, the FX denoise effect went away also, which was the second effect I had under FX. I am certain I am missing something so simple, but I haven't been able to find anything in the forums, online, etc. Does anyone have any advice? Thank you so much!
Whenever I am using the Pitch Shifter function I set my semi-tones and cents to where I want. BUT when i click back to the pitch shifter it has changed it to a random setting. This only happens if i have the cents setting somewhere other than 0. So if i set it to 3,0 it doesnt change but if i set it to 4,-15 it changes to 3,38. It also only happens if i change the cents to a negative number. I have uninstalled, saved as preset, restarted my computer, tired 3 different versions of audition and it still changes on its own.
Hi Everyone!First time asker of questions, I'm experiencing poor UEX with the PC version of Adobe Audition (CC) when I have the playback on centred. The entire window snaps to the playhead (so it is in the centre) when pressing play, which does not happen on Mac. Using my Mac, the playhead scrolls from the left to the centre of the screen and then the entire window shifts as the playhead moves so it stays centered. As far as I can tell there is no way to change this in options (Playback preferences). Hopefully i can explain the issue well enough to be understood, but basically the PC version jumps to the playhead so it is in the centre, whilst the Mac version waits for the playhead to reach the centre for the playback to scroll. Pictures below.PCMacExample of Mac playing with playhead about to reach centre:Cheers in advance,Tim
Hello everybody,so after having received some very useful advice in this thread https://forums.adobe.com/message/10625613#10625613, I have bought a Tram TR 50 and have also treated my room (a different room than before), with DIY acoustic panels, bass traps and some acoustic foam. I am wondering what settings I should use in Adobe Audition to get the most out of it. There aren't any tutorials on the Internet on how to do adobe audition audio settings for a specific mic. What would be the best settings in the parametric equalizer and what other effects should I apply to the recording? Here is a sample of my recording (it's from an educational Youtube about Chinese history):https://drive.google.com/file/d/1vX-sPVVuDDYxMDhv5hEE7om-fS2DAcij/view?usp=sharing(I know my voice still doesn't sound very good, I am working on it.)
I've seen this question asked about older versions of Audition, but not Audition CC 2018.I just installed it through the Creative Cloud app. I have a full CC subscription and am running several of the apps. When I try to launch Audition, the startup screen appears and it starts showing which files are being initialized. It gets to "Initializing (AuBackend)" and then stops. It won't go any further.I have tried logging out/closing/restarting/logging into my CC app, as suggested by the Adobe site. I have warm/cold booted multiple times. Nothing seems to work.I'm running Windows 10 Pro on a Dell laptop with an i5 processor and 16GB of RAM. Like I said, all of my other apps run fine, but Audition won't even start.Does anyone have any suggestions? Thanks!Tim HuddlestonCharlotte, NC
Now having an additional problem with Adobe Audition CC 2019.When I first purchased, I was able to open the application and do whatever I wanted to do, then close it when done.Today, when I attempted to open the program, I got a screen asking me to log into Creative Cloud, something that never happened before. I elected not to sign into Creative Cloud (since I never had to before). Upon not signing into it, Audition simply quit and disappeared from my computer screen. So the question is, Why is it doing this? and How do I get back to opening and using Audition without having to log into Creative Cloud?I don't use Creative Cloud at present and therefore Audition is now useless to me if I can't get the program to load and start.Any assistance would be appreciated!

My computer crashed and I had to reinstall Windows 7. I lost the CC element 12 I bought and downloaded few years ago. I still have the number with 2 digits I used to download the program years ago. How can I get back my CC element 12?
My college teacher told me to finish a project to measure the pressure level of the background noise by using sdk in audition 3.0,But how can I get started? Have no idea of making a total new plug by myself.
Hi,Audition will no longer playback a song shown in the waveform window. I can load the song, but when hitting the playback button Audition freezes (not responding).I have tried to deactivate, uninstall, and subsequently reinstalled and activated the program - still the same error. So I decided to move the program to my MAC after deactivating and uninstalling the Windows version. It installs okay, but now my serial number is not valid. Is it a Windows only serial, or??How do I get back on track?rgdsSøren
i posted before about how id like to run some pre recorded audio through analog gear i have. now that ive figured out how to do it, i dont see certain options that i need to do it in audition. im using a presonus studiolive 24.4 mixer. what i need to do is route the output of the track with the audio on it from a spare output on my mixer. and send it back to a completely different track. however, my issue is, none of the outputs on my mixer actually show up in auditions output list. only the inputs like 1-24. i have 10 aux outputs on the mixer that i can use to send audio to my analog gear, but i cannot access them from audition....is there something im doing wrong?
Hello;I have been using Adobe Audition with absolutely no issues until recently when I noticed garbled and distorted audio on what was previously fineThe same tracks work fine in other editors, but I don't know what happened with this of late. It sounds like a mist racking VHS hifi tape if that's of any help.I have a 2014 Macbook Pro laptop Any help on this would be truly appreciated
Hey guys so I've had the rodecaster pro audio mixer since January and a new update came out for multitrack features but only when connecting the mixer to your computer through USB. So for the life of me, I've tried recording through audition using this mixer on my MacBook Pro 15 inch 2018 model. It has a 2.9 GHz Intel core i9, 16 GB RAM, a Radeon pro vega 20 4080mb etcFor some reason, after configuring the hardware in audition's preferences I go to record in multitrack mode and try recording through the mic that I have assigned properly and it won't come through. No audio comes through the recording and no waves are in my track after I record. On my mixer, the audio is coming through no problem but just won't go through the computer for some reason. In a last-ditch effort, I connected the mixer to my desktop mac and had no dramas at all but now I don't understand why it won't come through at all on my laptop but it will on the desktop. Here are the settings I have on my laptopAlso
How can i fix the problem of audition 1.0 freezing when recording. Windows XP Version 2002
So basically I have a song and its studio instrumentals (without the vocals) and I want to use that to create the cleanest acapella possible. Trying to align them then inverting doesn't really work for me, unfortunately, but I was wondering if you could give me any tricks or tips I could use (other than stuff like center channel extractor that are mainly for when you don't have the instrumentals) when I do have the studio version without vocals. Thanks in advance!
Me again. Not sure if this is an Adobe problem but once in awhile I get this "cave" like sound through my earbuds, as if I weren't even wearing them. You'd think that my room was covered with speakers on the ceiling. Sometimes I pull out the headphone jack, plug in, say "Ok" to "what do you just plug in?", and it would be fine. It is now exclusively the cave sound (except music, that's fine. Spoken word, nope).Any advice? Thanks in advance
I just installed adobe audition, and it won't allow me to click on half of the tools in the tool car, and I can't select them any other way. I reopened it and it allowed me to use Hal to tool bar but not the tools I need.
I've recently gotten a new computer and successfully installed CC and Audition on it. However, on starting audition I get this notificaitonI'm sure I am connected to the internet as I was browsing the web for solutions to this problem. Any help would be greatly appreciated
Okay here it is, the green line-with-boxes-squares-going-through-thing. I did find out that it is actually recording. I thought it was just a bug but it is recording because after I hit stop I accidentally hit the spacebar and I could hear my voice saying "oh there's the green boxes." Usually I just hit delete and it clears it and then I hit record and usually it begins the normal waveform. But recently sometimes I have to delete the green lines with boxes two or three times to get a recordable screen. My newest problem now is when I plug in my earbuds to my computer to listen to my playback I'm getting echo. It used to be as soon as I said "okay" to a screen prompt "what did you just plug in?", it would go back to a normal contained sound. Now I can't get rid of the echoey sound that is going on.Thanks in advance.
I have been having a problem with my Adobe Audition. After I record my chapter, I go back and edit it and when I start doing that it just freezes up. I start pulling the apart to do away with breathes and little noises to delete and it just freezes up. Anyone have any idea what is causing this?
I purchased Audition 1.0 when it came out and upgraded to Version 3.0 some time later (i.e. I purchased an "upgrade offering"). I am now trying to re-install Version 3.0 (PC re-build). The Audition installer accepts my upgrade S/N, but is now prompting for my original Version 1.0 S/N. That V1 CD and S/N are long gone. What can I do to install Version 3.0?
Hi everyone, I'm a new Audition user and I'd like to plug in my AT2020 mike with this particular USB converter cord. The cord blinks when I plug it in, indicating that there's some sort of data, signal, or information running through it. When I select it in Audio Hardware Preferences, I believe it's showing up as USB PnP Sound Device. But so far no signal when I hit record. Please advise! Thank you.
This is probably a totally easy question, and I'm just a newbie not understanding what I'm doing. Nonetheless, here's the problem I'm having: I have a stereo recording and I put the right and left channels into two separate tracks in the multitrack editor, because I want to manipulate them independent of each other. I want to cut out a portion of the audio and create a crossfade between the two parts, and I want this to be identical for both tracks. So I used the time selection tool to select the portion of the tracks I want to remove, then I used "Ripple Delete — Time Selection in All Tracks." Once I removed that portion, I selected the later clips on each track and dragged them left to create a crossfade. Everything looks normal, but when I play back, the crossfade works on one track but not the other. Namely, track 1 works exactly as I expected, but track 2 just fades out. The next clip never fades in. So I'm left with only track 1 playing after the crossfade. Does anyone have any i
Please help, I cannot figure out why this error is popping up. Music plays from my laptop speakers just not through audition.
Does anyone know where the Amplify widget went in the 2017 release?!Just updated to 10.1 from 7.2, and can't find the Amplify widget in Waveform view. This is a huge part of my workflow --- I bounce projects into Audition from Pr, open up each clip in Waveform view, adjust the level as needed, run a custom preset I've built, and move onto the next clip; I'm not sure if it's the "correct" way to work, but it's super fast and efficient, and I've got it down to a science. Am I missing something? I've combed over every logical part of the UI, looking for a way to restore/activate/open the widget, but can't find anything...Near as I can tell, the only workaround is to go to Menu > Effects > Amplitude & Compression > Amplify > enter the value > hit EnterIs that for real?! With the widget, I just hit CTRL + A to select everything, type the value, and go. Having to navigate through the menu literally a hundred times during a project is a HUGE waste of time. This can't be rig
