I've had an Adobe subscription for ages, but just recently needed to download Audition. I went to "Open Recent" to continue working on a file, and noticed a handful of files in my recent that I've never heard of... included ones named "ummmm.sesx", "sounds.sesx", and "CASHMEOUTSIDE.sesx". Obviously, when I tried to open them they couldn't be located. Is this a glitch? My first thought was that someone had gained access to my account, but my license is already active on my desktop and laptop (max activation) and I've never gotten kicked, or had any indication on my other apps' recent history that someone else has used my account. I'm running Version 25.3.0.71 on MacOS Sequoia 15.6.
When I export from Audition as a Mixdown, and when I bring it back into Premiere Pro, it sound soooo different. Right now I have a sidechain where the VO dialogue is supposed to go mute, but it somehow goes through and completely bypasses the sidechain effect. BUT in Audition, it works perfectly, and when I export,it doesn't sound right at all, and my EQ is not as bright as it is in AuditionI have a 2020 iMac 5kOS Venturta 13.73.6 GHz 10-Core IntelAMD Radeon Pro 5700 XT 16 GB64GB RAM
Hi there, I'm working on a Audition project, and one of the files simply stays offline. The file actually exists in the same place it always did. When I try to link the media, it processes it but when it's done processing it says "offline" again. It will not load. What is happening and how can I fix this? Files are stored locally.
I have been having repeated crashes when using the spot healing brush to make an edit in the spectral frequency display. The crash happens when I change the brush size (either using a key command or typing in the number manually). I can temporarily fix the issue by shutting down and restarting my computer, but then it seems to happen again after editing for awhile. Any solutions? I am working on Adobe Audition 2025 v25.3 on iMac (MacOS Sequoia 15.6.1)
When I attempt to use any UAD plug in, the software immediately crashes. This has never happened before and started with the latest update.
Title pretty much says it all, but here are some specific steps to reproduce: Open Adobe AuditionCreate a new, 32-bit audio file.Generate a tone so there is some waveform data.Select the Paintbrush Selection tool and adjust the Size parameter by click-dragging the number or directly typing into the field. This immediately crashes Adobe Audition on my machine. I can sometimes adjust the Size parameter if I am editing an empty 16-bit file with nothing else open in Audition. I have not tried other bitrates or scenarios. Here's some basic system information. In case it matters, I'm using a third-generation Focusrite 2i2 as my audio input and output device, driver version 4.119.13.33 from 11/27/2023. I hope this helps! After upgrading to Audition 25.3 from 25.2, the application will no longer launch, and it crashes instantly. I had to uninstall and roll back to 25.2. I tried to upgrade twice, and immediately after the new installation, it failed to launch. Anyone else having this issue? On a Windows 11 Business 24H2 Lenovo with 128 GB RAM, 2.40 GHz Intel Core. All other Adobe products work fine, and once I roll back to Audition 25.2, the crashing issue disappears.I tried to uninstall and do a fresh install. This did not change the problem. Doing a straight update in Creative Cloud does not work, either.
Hi there, I am using Audition v25.3.0.71 and Mac 14.2.1. In earlier versions, I was able to use Export --> Session… to create a copy of my multi-track session and with "Save copies of associated files" checked, I was able to copy just the used clips into a new "copied" folder. I liked this a lot 'cause it got rid of any extraneous files that might have been in the "Imported" folder.Ever since v25 hit, any attempt to use this option results in no files being saved at all in the destination folder. No copy of the session. No copied folders. I know I can do something similar with "Save As," but it appears that not all files get saved into the resulting folder, so I have to manually add the missing files. I'm also not sure if this gets rid of the extraneous files. In any case, has this happened to anyone else and does anyone have any suggestions? Thank you.
I use Audition almost daily, and recently on a new PC, I have been having issues- I cannot launch it without reinstalling it after using it for a while, forcing me to keep having to reinstall it, to use it for a while, then when I close and reopen it another day, it remains stuck at Initialization (dvascripting). Any help would be appreciated. Thank you!
I have a long (1hr 40mins) project in Premiere Pro that I am trying to edit in Audition, as normal. However, about 50% of the way through the Audition 'opening project' dialogue, I get the following error: /Volumes/****.prprojError: File not supported by any currently registered plug-ins. That is the entirety of information given by the error message and then Audition opens, but with no data imported from Premiere. I have been using this workflow ever since Adobe launched Mercury Transmit and have never seen anything like this before. My system is fully updated, with the latest Adobe and Apple software versions:Premiere 25.4.1 (build 3)Audition 25.3.0.71MBP M4 Max, 128GB, 4TB SSDOSX 15.6.1 Next step will be uninstalling and re-installing Audition, but any other ideas will be very well received!
Hi to all ! A new bug started yesterday in Adobe Audition 25.3.0.71, installed on PC with Windows 11 When I try to use anything needing to display a dialog box, this box opens totally blank... I tried to reset Audition to factory settings, then uninstalled and reinstalled it... Nothing works. Attached is a screenshot of an exemple of this very annoying bug. Thanks in advance for any idea to solve this !
Hi everyone, I would really appreciate any help with a matter. I'm editing a project in Audition and I was just command S-ing when I noticed it didn't lead to any saving. Then I checked the file bar and all three save buttons were greyed out. Then tried to export to save my progress and the export multitrack is greyed out. I tried finding similar problems but all the results didn't solve my problem. Most were solved by the output not being in Mix but all of my outputs are in Mix. The closest problem I saw mentioned was that I had two sesx files with the same name, but I have no idea if that is the problem or how to change the name, as I tried changing the name of the original file, but it didn't change it in Audition. I'm linking two images of my project and the greyed out buttons. Any and all help would be amazing! Thank you.
When editing in the Waveform window, once I delete the content of an audio file - the waveform itself is still visually showing in the edit window. But the actual audio content is no longer there. It will not erase visually when I click delete (or CTRL-X). The only way to remove the visual representation of the waveform is to hit record again, which then returns the edit window to black. This has only just started happening since the last update.
Radio guy here, and when producing a group of IDs (or Jingles depending on where you're from), I will space them all out along the timeline, put Range Markers around them, and Make a mixdown to separate each ID into a separate file. This works great, but my company recently changed Automation playout systems, and it requires using CART CHUNK markers to set different timers. My IDs all require a SEG marker to fire the next element, and I've just discovered that Audition will only save the first 8 or 9 in the session. When I close the session, and re-open it, and SEG markers above the eighth or ninth are gone and I need to reset them. The markers stay there as long as the session is open, and will transfer into the mixdown fine (for export to individual files, which keeps them as well) but as soon as I save & close the session, they're gone. I'm trying to find out if this happens to anyone else? Is this a limitation to CART CHUNK markers? If so, why 8 are allowed instead of
Adobe audition seems to have a bug where it is either invisibly storing files (not in cache no idea where) or is somehow just using hard drive memory somehow at a rapid pace. Currently my computer says it has 206GB of open storage but Audition says I only have 155GB of open storage. I updated my iOS to see if it would fix the problem and it initially reset it so that the storage showed the same as it did in my mac settings, but as the day went on, it became clear that while I had reset it temporarily, the problem remained. In just one day of editing (large files) it's gone from 205.59GB free to 155GB free even though again the storage on my computer has only gone down I think one GB (i'm really just editing files not creating new ones). "Cleaning" the cache does nothing. Within 2 or 3 days it will be reporting that my computer has no memory left to save files even though I'll have 200GB free. I tried uninstalling it and reinstalling it (audition 2025) and have had the same is
I appreciate that this is a long-standing issue with Adobe products (I have the full CC suite) but why doesn't Audition have the slider to adjust UI element size? The text is the equivalent of 8-point type on my 4K screen, and (worse) it's light gray text on a dark gray background. Adobe, you're design professionals. What is happening with this UI?Yes, I tried editing the Windows shortcut to support legacy scaling (didn't work). Yes, I tried scaling up the display at the operating system level (also didn't work). Yes, I switched the Preferences > Appearances to 'Easy on the Eyes' (slightly better). But mostly this is very hard to use. Please either make the UI auto-adjust based on screen resolution, or at least offer a slider as you do on some other apps. OS: Windows 11Audition ver: 25.3.0.71 Thanks, John Cornwell
App version: 25.3.0.71Platform: Mac Sequoia 15.5 TL:DR; Clicking anywhere outside an area specificed by the In and Out points clears the In and Out. I'm EQing a multi-track project with various interviews, each on its own separate track so I can EQ the track rather than multiple clips. I've got looping turned on to allow for continuous playback of short areas, and I'm using the In and Out points (set with "I" and "O") to specify the area to loop. The problem I'm having is whenever I click anywhere outside of the area enclosed by the In and Out points (say, to select the track I want to EQ without selecting the clip within the track specifically), the In and Out points are instantly cleared, and I have to set them again to loop the area I want. I can't think of a way this is a useful feature, given how easy it is to accidentally clear the area I just established, and there are already keyboard shortcuts specifically for clearing In and Out, so I figure this must be a
The AUHostingCompatibilityService (AA 2025) keeps crashing when using the Izotope RX8 plugins from Audition. It happens when the Show Preview Editor pane in AA is open and the RX De-Click module or Voice De-click modules are used. It freezes (pinwheel of death) after adjusting the sliders on the RX pop-up windows - seems to happen most often when the Click Widening slider is moved. The module appears in the Activity Monitor as Not Responding. Using the latest Adobe Audition version and latest iOS on Mac desktop.
Hello all. I’m reaching out here because I don’t know what to do anymore. I am working on a large audio project in Adobe Audition, and as of a week ago the session is no longer opening. When opening the “estimated time remaining” goes down to 10 seconds, but then slowly and indefinitely increases. This also happens with backups and old versions of the project. I have tried restarting my computer, re-installing Audition with the Cleaner Tool, turning off my plug-ins, and checking all the permissions. I had to force quit the application.I will take ANY advice, I’m pretty upset by this. Thank you! I tried to get my system information and the error report but I'm not sure how to upload it. I'm on a Macbook Pro 2023. Sonoma 14.3Adobe Audition 25.3.0.71
Hey! I have never had this problem before so this is kinda frustrating. I am currently working on post-conference mix for a church. When I try to export the files to make a final mix, the estimated time goes down and then shoots back up and keeps going up and the progress percentage stops. I have waited and waited but even then it just sits there and stalls. I have used nothing outside of stock plugins and I have even closed all background processes and I still am unable to export or bounce the mix to a new track. I have not seen any documentation to help me. I am using an M1 Macbook Pro and my project is exporting from my external HDD to my local desktop. Please help!
I work with 20-30 minute audio files. The voiceover is good, but somehow audition tends to jumble words within the file? At first I thought my VO artist was making mistakes, or perhaps I was cutting clips wrongly, but I just checked it in an older render and it's Audition ruining my voice over clips. It happens 2-3 times per project, and it also happens retroactively. So I'd have linearly listened to the entire file, confirmed it's okay, press save, and then by the time the final product is ready it turns out Audition changed the audio at minute 2 or something. It jumbles words, mixes them up, etc. It completely destroyed my workflow, taking dozens of hours at this point. Is there any way to fix it? I think I'll downgrade to Audition 24 since I didn't have that much trouble in that version, but I'm quite pissed off such a glaringly obvious bug has been a part of Audition for months (judging by other posts).
I have my Audition autosave set to every ten minutes in the session folder. I've been working on a multitrack session for a few days. However, after my Macbook restarted itself, I lost a month of work. There were only a handful of auto save files, all of which were from a month ago when I first started working on this project. Is there any way to recover these files? Where did it all go if not in my session folder? How can I prevent this from happening again?
Wonder if anyone is having the same problem as me: I've been recording voiceovers in Audition (25.3) with a buffer of 256 without issues but after updating to Windows 24H2 (I'm on the latest version of Windows 11 home edition), I am getting glitches and random dropouts in my recordings. I record at 24 bit, 48khz, mono. As a workaround, if I increase the buffer in Audition to 1024, the errors disappear, but I shouldn't have to do this. If I record in REAPER at a 256 buffer, I have no issues...so it 'appears' to be an issue between Audition and the Windows Update. I have raised a ticket with Adobe but I would like to know if anyone else has experienced the same issue and if you've found a solution.
Estoy trantando de grabar audios con mi interfaz, pero al grabar y luego reproduccir se salta a la reproduccion, no se si grabo asi saltado o esta reproducciendo mal, necesito ayuda comunidad
