Hello - I'm just trying to see the exact length of highlighted selections of audio. When I open properties, it's only giving info on the whole file. I need it down to a fraction of a second, and I'm trying to do the math in my head! What am I missing?
Rack effects completely broken in new Audition... all black. How is this okay?
Hello, I have a very powerful computer with a powerful processor. I used to work with the old Adobe until now and I didn't encounter this problem and I would appreciate help. Every time I start playing the track with the spacebar, it takes almost half a second for the track to start. It's very annoying and inconvenient to work with. In the old auditions, it always goes online when I press the key. It's important to note that I work with a wireless keyboard (but I also worked in previous versions). Is there a setting or something that can be done to improve the editing process and so that the key works without delay to start the track?
When I edit wave / MP3 files in Adobe Audition, Build 24.4.1.3 ... I convert it to 44.1 Khz (sample rate doesn't matter) and from either 8 bit (or 32 bit) to 16-bits, and save it ... If I exit and re-load it into Audition it's 32 Bit float (sample rates are correct, just not the 16 bit depth). I even loaded a saved file into VLC and it's also says 32 bits. Steps To Repeat:1. Load an audio file, convert it to, or make sure it is 16-bit audio (ss1.png).2. Save-As, make sure it's 16-bits, mp3. I used "Test.mp3" in this example.3. Look at the file in another program, such as VLC, and it's 32 bits (ss2.png).4. Re-load it (open) and it's 32-bit float (ss3.png).
Hi all, I used Adobe Audition to record a voiceover via Rode Wireless GO II microphones and on several occasions (always at the beginning of a take) it cuts out briefly/fades the voice in, as if the software is just waking up and recognising the microphone. I have tested the microphone with basic Windows recording software and this worked just fine, so it's definitely Audition. Is there some feature I have switched on/off that will help? I have attached a clip of the recording as an example. Many thanks
Hey boys and girls, Just before I hit update on my Mac... anyone had any issues with the new Seqoia and the running of Audition? All plugins working and behaving like they should? Thank youuuuu. RB
Hi,Typically, I keep great notes when editing configuration files, but several laptops later I seemed to have lost them. I recently installed the latest version of AU on a new laptop (version 25). The default Duration in the Multitrack Session is 30 seconds. On my previous laptop, with an earlier version of AU installed, I found out online how to edit a configuration file that sets this value to 30 seconds (might have been an .XML file) and was able to set the default Duration to 4 Minutes (it's the preferred duration length for the work I do). This is how I had the view set up in Audition 3.0 (which you could configure without editing a Config file). I can't recall what Config file to edit to make this change and have not been able to find the online instructions I found several years back on which file to edit. Any assistance would be appreciated. Rob
I edit podcasts for a living and have an issue with Audition that's been bugging me for literally years. As shown in the video, while editing out hesitations and stutters, sometimes Audition won't let me delete a selected clip during playback in the multitrack editor. I have to stop playback, delete the clip, and resume playback. It happens maybe one in every 5-10 edits, which is enough to be hugely annoying, to break my flow when editing, and add up to a lot of wasted time. I'm on a top-end Macbook Pro and have had this issue with every version of Audition I've ever used. Any suggestions? This has been driving me nuts for YEARS.
I'm trying to correct plosives in one of my tracks in Audition 22.0. I highlight the area with the plosive, click on "Effects" at the top, then select "Filter & EQ" then "FFT Filter." Then the Rack Effect - FFT Filter window opens. At the top there's a drop down menu for "Presets" from which I choose "Kill the Mic Rumble." But in tutorials online, there's an "Apply" button at the bottom of that window in past versions of Audition. In 22.0, there doesn't appear to be an "Apply" button. So how do I apply the "Kill the Mic Rumble" effect. Or is there another, more simple, less time consuming way of eliminating all those plosives?
I have a new condenser mic connected to my Mac (OS 11.6.6) via a USB interface. Audition sees the mic in Audio Hardware prefs, but I can't get Audition to actually /hear/ the mic, that is to say, when I try to record it captures only silence, but it gives me no errors. When I switch the input mic to my Mac's built-in mic, it also cannot hear, but again it gives no errors. I see the mic levels in my Mac system preferences, and I can use the mic to record in Premiere and in Ableton, so I know the mic and interface are working fine. Why can't Audition hear the microphone?
I am having an issue where there is a digital tone being introduced into my recording. I seems to neatly hit on 2k, 4k, 8k, 10k, and 16k. I believe its a digital sound being introduce. Any help on this would be appreciated! I've tried uninstalling and reinstalling drivers, changing latency, changing cables. I believe its internal to the computer. While some of these changes may work for a bit, the digital tone comes back and in the case of changing the latency, different clicks are introduced causing me to have to go back to my original latency setting.
Can volume keyframes be copied from one track to another... or can multiple tracks with keyframes be adjusted at the same time? If not... it would be super helpful... in Premiere attributes can be copied from one track to another, maybe I am missing how to. In AVID 2 tracks can be adjusted at once keyframe wise. It would be very helpful to have Adobe Audition have this capability, especially since it is the audio mixing program and in theory, there should be more ability to control. Again please let me know if I have overlooked how to... I am new to audition. Many thanks.
Just curious... Can volume keyframes be copied from one track to another... or can multiple tracks with keyframes be adjusted at the same time? If not... it would be super helpful... If so super please let me know how. I haven't been able to figure it out yet and haven't found a solution. Thanks!
I'm using the latest version of Audition on a Razer Blade 16' laptop with Windows 11 and this issue happens everytime and I get an error message. This also happens for shortcuts to open a file such as clicking on a blank area of the 'files' dock or by opening up computer location manually to save a file. Just to be clear though you can still save files but you have to copy and paste in the address without going into computer location within Audition. I have 32 GB memory, more than enough storage and have checked for any dodgy files in my C drive that may be creating this crash. I have used CCleaner to uninistall and then reinstall fresh but this hasn't worked. Attempting to install Audition on a separate hard drive hasn't worked either. I have looked for fixes online and tried everything and nothing works. Would appreciate any help as this is becoming a nightmare. I have attached some relevent log info and system info. P
I'm having the same issue in both 24.63 & 25 versions of Audition: During playing back of the multi-track, certain sections of the audio are "missing" or don't play. But when I roll the playhead back and play again, the audio is there. In the mix down, the same sections of audio are also missing. The referenced wav files are all intact, no playback issues. I had originally edited the multi-track audiodrama in 24.63 and thought perhaps that was the issue and started using 25 but the issue remains and it's the same "missing" sections in both versions. I'm going to try clearing the cache and restarting to see if that resolves the issue but could really use some guidance from an expert who may know what's causing this issue.
Hi all! Is there a way to make changes or settings in Audition that will take affect on every user on the computer?I work in an office with communal editors. I know that when you download audition to a computer it becomes available to use for all domain users on the computer. However I am curious if I can make changes in audition that will translate to every account on that computer? For example, is it possible to have the Noise Reduction (Process) plugin be automatically applied to every session of every user on the computer when recording voice-overs?
Hi everyone, I frequently work in Adobe Audition and often need to move multiple clips forward or backward on the timeline. In Premiere Pro, I use the Track Select Forward Tool and Track Select Backward Tool to quickly select and move all clips from a certain point forward or backward. However, I can't seem to find a similar tool in Audition, and I’m wondering if there’s a way to replicate this functionality here. Has anyone found a workaround or method to select multiple clips forward or backward based on the playhead position in Audition? Or is there any way to use a macro or external tool to achieve this? Thanks in advance for any advice or suggestions!
Hello. I have a recently emerged problem: when I record my podcast in Audition through my Rødecaster Pro, Audition has started recording the audio from all 3 microphones on all 3 tracks. This has never happened before, and I can't figure out what to do to change it. Does anyone know what might have gone wrong?
I've been working steadily in Audition for the last few projects for a variety of reasons, and I'm generally pretty happy but I do seem to be missing something. I'd like to be able to select more than one TRACK (not clip) simultaneously. Why? Well maybe I have a group of "holder" tracks that audio came in on, that are now empty and I'd like to delete them as a group. Or I've grouped all my SFX tracks together and would like to send them all to my FX Bus without having to do it on each track. Or maybe I'd like to grab all my BG tracks and move them out of the way. I haven't been able to find any way to do this. It seems like it should be fairly easy - Logic, ProTools, Ardour and even Premiere can all do it. Is it even possible? Thanks for any help.
In the past with my old computer it was a breeze to record the system with Audition. Now with my new computer, still running on Windows 7 its difficult.I have got my old program Camtasia, although it tells me that there is no audio device detected, it properly records the system sound. How can get Autition, too, to record my system sound. just as Audition did on my old computer?BTW: I find it bloody difficult to find these help forums here, I am always diverted to some CLOUD pages and I have nothing to do with THAT.
While working in a 5.1 multitrack session, if one chooses the "edit audio to video" workspace, the track panners have the expected "LFE only" option. However, switch to "default" (which includes a video window and is still a nice workspace for a film mix) and the "LFE only" option is nowhere to be found.
Hi All, Hope you are well! I have an audio file from a phone video that I'm trying to isolate & enhance the background "noise" of... There are people talking close to the phone and it's overpowering the background sound that I'm trying to isolate. However, everything I'm finding online has to do with background noise removal... which is not my goal. Any help with this would be greatly appreciated! Most Respectfully,James
I was just working ALL DAY on an audiofile and Audition told me it had reached its limit of data it could use and wouldn't save, so I had to close Audition and sure enough, absolutely none of my work was saved. Is there a way I can recover this? And before you ask, the answer to whatever "depends on your settings" questions are going to be "I don't know". I was recording stuff with Adobe Audition and it suddenly wouldn't save and I want to see if I can get it all back or if I have to do that WHOLE DAY OF WORK over again. And also if there's a way I can prevernt this from ever happening again.
I am working on a complex 20 minute project in Audition. It has slowed down considerably, to the point that I am afraid it will crash any minute. The spinning beach ball comes up on almost every cut, so matter how simple. Although I have been using Audition for five years, there is a lot I do not know. You guys have helped me correct dumb errors, and I hope this one can be solved simply. Some technical info on my system is below. Any advice is welcome. Thanks! I am currently working on a project where my client has edited some audio for a podcast in Audition, and is trying to export it as an OMF for me so I can mix and master in Pro Tools. The first two episodes we were able to export successfully, but for the third episode, the client suddenly received an error that said "unable to open a required file" during the OMF export process. They sent the Audition session to me and I attempted to export it as an OMF after downloading Audition to see if it would work for me. I got the exact same error message on my end. Both my client and I had the same export settings as below:-48000 Hz Mono, 24-bit (all files are in mono)-Media: Referenced-Media Format: WAV-Trim Audio Files-Handles: 0:01.000-The estimated OMF file size is 8.50 GB When I attempt to export the OMF, it goes through the entire export process and makes a folder full of all the audio clips. However, when it comes time to make the actual OMF file, that is when the error pops up
