I'm editing a multitrack session, and suddenly I keep getting "Detected Dropped Samples" alerts and all of my audio is choppy. When I open individual clips in Waveform, it sounds perfect, but in Multitrack it's awful. I'm pretty sure I wasn't having this issue until I upgraded my OS to the latest Catalina, so perhaps that's a culprit? Below are my audio hardware settings. I had changed the buffer size to 1024 after doing a little research into the issue, but that's not helping. Only inputs are System Default and Movavi Sound Grabber. Any thoughts? Running on a 2012 Mac Mini, with following specs:OS: macOS Catalina Ver 10.15.7Processor: 2.5 GHz Dual-Core Intel i5Memory: 8GB 1600 MHz DDR3 Again - was not having issues whatsoever, until after I upgraded my OS. Would reverting back to an earlier OS (if possible) solve the issue?
Hi, I'm new to all of this. I am trying to run a diagnostics on a video to eventually filter out silences. I will import the markers from the extracted audio in Audition to the video file in Premiere. So, when I try to set up the Diagnostic tool and run the scan, it appears that the sileces are not being correctly picked up. I'm sure it's a PEBCAK error, but I don't know enough to figure out wher I'm going wrong.I THINK I am setting it to find any section of the file that is below -65 dB for longer than 300ms, and so this area of silence at around the 13 second mark should count? But when I scan, it is including that in the Audio section for that marked portion. What am I doing wrong?

Hi there,I can't move clips along the timeline - but I can move a clip from one track to another. But thesame timeline. This happens when I work on my MacBook Pro (some keys were damagedby liquid; I use an external keyboard and blue tooth-linked mouse). When I edit the same video project on PC - I work normally and do not have this problem.BTW: The same happens when I use Adobe Premiere.Any ideas about what's wrong with moving the clips on MacBook? What can I do to make itwork correctly? Many thanks!
Hi All! I am creating a series of podcasts for my organization. I will be interviewing guests in the same room with me. I have 2 XLR mics going into a Yamaha MX12GU digital mixer. MIC 1 (XLR Input 1) is hard panned left (Host). Mic 2 (XLR Input 2) is hard panned right (Guest). The onboard mixer meter supports this. I need my guest's audio to be on a separate channel from my audio. The problem is both mics are being recorded on the left channel and both mics are also being recorded on the right channel. This is true whether I'm using Audition or Audacity. No matter how I map the channels, the problem persists. I have tried XLR outputs from the mixer to a USB cable into my laptop's USB port, XLR outputs from the mixer to a 1/8 inch stereo mini pin into an external sound card plugged into my laptop's USB port, and also a USB cable from the mixer's USB out to my laptop's USB port. I only have USB inputs on my laptop. I'm stuck with the equipme
Adding marker or range to file - jumps view back to start or to the end.Serious bug 2023 audition
If you have a track locked in premier and you use the edit>edit in audition>sequence. And you send that to audition, and then you select all that audio, and you copy and paste it into a new/existing mix the track that was locked in premier won't paste it in the correct spot in time, and it gets all weird when you try to move it,
The skip selection tool was working properly as of yesterday, but now when I try to use it it skips over the selection, but there's a lag before it starts playing the audio after it, and that audio is choppy. The audio itself is fine, it's just when I use the skip selection tool. I updated to the most recent version, 22.6.0.66 and am having the same issue. iMac, osx Big Sur 11.2.3. Please advise, thanks!
how to make a concert effect to a song or music?
Somehow, in stereo Waveform view of Default Workspace, I've lost the little gain window that used to sit in the upper (left) waveform window that had sliders to adjust the gain of a selected waveform segment in real time. what is that little window called and how do I get it back?thanks.
Hi guys, Having a little difficulty at the moment. Whenever I select 'M' for a marker in Adobe Audition my screen track places my view to the beginning or the end of the audio file. Is there a way to fix this? I would like to remain where I am on the track view when I place a marker. Furthermore, I was wondering if it would be one day possible to place multiple different markers. For instance, I would love to be able to maintain the word 'marker 01' when I select 'M' but I would also like another marker name assigned to a different key such as 'error' when I select 'E', and a third for 'multiple takes' when I select 'T' if that makes sense. This would make my work process far more efficient and streamlined. All the best Christian H Miles
A new bug has surfaced with the latest update.I'm on version 23.3.0.55, and now when I add a Cue Marker (using the F8 shortcut OR the menu) it moves the display window back to the start of the file. The conditions:This happens only in the Edit windowThis happens only when zoomed in to somewhere other than the beginning of the file It would be nice to get this fixed. Thank you in advance. I have a big collection of 1 hour long audio files with their corresponding CSV files containing no less than 400 markers each, I need to delete all audio parts where the markers are, I've been doing it manually like this (double click marker + click on editor + delete key, repeat):Is there a smarter way to do this very basic operation? Imagine doing this for hundreds of files, I can't stand this madness anymore, this is ridicolous, this should be a normal feature of Adobe Audition, I looked at the forums and there're lots of users that have this same problem or variants of it (ie. do an operation only where markers are located) since 2015! It's a normal operation, it's something everyone needs at some point, it's not a niche or special feature, it's common sense that any professional audio editing software must have it. Someone please make a plugin for it or something, I beg you, thanks for your kind attention.
Ever since I upgraded to build 23.3.055 when I go to export an audio file to the same external drive I've been using since and prior to the upgrade, it will not save to the destination / pathway that pops up - instead I have to go through an extra step of clicking on the browse > Save As - which takes me to the same directory - then click OK (see attached video) - the error I first get suggest that the destination may not exist or the HD is full, which is neither the case, plenty of HD space and destination pathway is there.Changes that we're made before this all happened were:1) Used / using this External HD to backup the computer using "Time Machine" - prior to upgrading computer's OS2) Upgraded my OS to Ventura (V 13.3)3) Upgraded Audition from V 22.6 to V 23.3.055 I have noticed in my Creative Cloud - my earlier and now latest versions of Audition on my list of "Installed" but I'm only opening and using V23.3.055 on my DAW. I would appreciate any ideas, thoughts on how
Hi,I'm trying to streamline my workflow for recording presentations that are then later chopped up into individual slides. As of right now the academic, recording their presentation, is asked to hit a shortcut to put a cue marker down whenever they begin or end a slide. They are also asked to clap when they make a mistake. This allows us to convert all the markers to ranges and export each slide separately. Then we skim each slide to take out the mistakes. This isn't ideal as I don't feel clapping is an elegant solution and some academics are reluctant to comply, so my question is; Can I place range markers at the beginning and ending of slides DURING RECORDING as well as use the cue marker exclusively for slip ups? Open to other solutions to this problem also if you've got them. Thanks.
On a Windows 10 desktop PC, Adobe Audition 23.3.0.55. Dropping a region marker anywhere in Waveform editor causes the view and playhead to jump to the very beginning of the file. This happens on any wav file, no matter where you drop the marker, it automatically jumps to the beginning and you lose your place. One workaround I found is if you notice the marker number you just dropped, you can manually jump back to that marker. Another workaround is if you are lucky and you haven't clicked anywhere to reposition the cursor, you can use an arrow key on the keyboard to return the view to where the cursor is, and it might be where you left it. This incorrect behavior is new. In previous versions you could drop markers anywhere, by any means, and the view always remained in place right where you dropped the marker. I'm assuming this is a bug and not an intentional change to the program because it makes most sense to be able to drop a marker where your cursor is and immediately continue from
I recorded a DJ set using an RCA to XLR cable going from the mixer to a zoom H6 field recorder, and the file opens in Adobe audition but it gives me this message when I open it up "metadata was found in the file but it is corrupted and could not be read" when I click "ok" I can see the file and the waveforms but there's a buzzing sound in the track and it's definitely not sounding as clean as it's supposed to. Any thoughts as to how I could fix this? I attached a sample clip from where you can hear the buzzing.
Hello, I use Audition for music recording in my home studio. When I need to do a punch in/out, I simply select the area I need redo (highlighted selection) back the playhead back to where I want to start from, arm the track for record and then start via the record button. This works great, where I get a new audio file overlaid in the track for each punch in. In the past I've just taken the time to do a 'mixdown' of just the track with the punch ins so I have one audio file with all the correct takes and so I don't have to manage more files than I need to. However, I believe there must be a simple way to just merge the punch in back to the track without needing to do a mixdown? If you look at my attached image, is there a way in CC 2018 to commit "Track1_001" back to the track it is overlaid onto?

Hello everyone!I had an idea for Audition - about using a session in another session almost like in After Effects where one would create an animation of some sort and because of it's complexity one may want to drop the whole thing as a layer/track in a new compositio/session where you can add more things without having to deal with the complexity of the previous composition/session. Of course one can edit it by doubleclicking it and get back to the initial session that is there. I would like to use that as an Audition feature as sometimes i want to create a session just for vocals and don't bother with the instrumental session that i can just use as a layer , track insert for the new session. I hope this makes sense. Is this possible? I think will ease the workflow imensly and help a mix evolve in different sessions as sections that can be used as tracks. Please let me know. Best Regards,Mihai
I've recently come up against a bug I can't seem to fix through various setting changes. When I add a new play marker or delete an existing one, it moves the screen view to the beginning of the audio I'm editing. The playhead remains the same, but this then results in the screen view jumping back and forth every time I add a marker which makes for a very frustrating edit. I've reset to factory settings, and changed things like "return playhead to start position on stop" and various other playback settings, but have got stuck. Any help / support is much appreciated, video file is attached to show the error. ThanksPete
Hi All, just wondering if anyone else has come across this issue.I purchased a copy of Adobe Audition CS6 about 8 years ago. For some strange reason it has just reverted back to trial mode. When I try and re-register, it simply tells me that it can't connect to the internet (every time). I have a perfectly active connection, so I can't work out what is going on. Has anyone else experienced this, and if so, what did you do to fix? Thanks!
This error cannot use right clicked to do anything including add tracks. When I want to use the right click. This warning will be popped out...So if you have some ideas to fix this problem, please help thank you very much.
