Bridge

Hi Folks,I am attempting to find images in Collections and Bridge has lost the links. (versions 7 and 9)  Nothing changed in the path between Bridge and the drive on which these images are located, so I don't know understand why the links were lost to begin with. I'm wondering if there is away to reconstuct the links without recreating the collecions. If anyone can suggest a more efficient way to regain the links I'd love to hear it.If anyone knows why the problem occurred to begin with I'd love to hear that too.Thanks!

Noticed on Adobe Bridge today that the Open With option when I right click is no longer available... Any idea how to fix it? I thought maybe it had to do with using Bridge 2020 to open images in Photoshop 2021 - so I updated and still no fix. Not seeing anything in the preferences that may help. Any tips or fixes? Thank you!

HI! I NEED URGENT HELP.Bridge just vanished with my back up files from my last job.I made a copy of it in the organization process. After using it I told bridge to replace these same files back to the original folder, to what it shown me a error message. After clicking "OK" the hole original backup folder what gone, taking all the files I send to replace with it.It is not on trash nor anywhere else in my computer.Thus file replacement error deleted both copies. Beware of Bridge Destroing Your Files !!!

Hi I always use "Adobe Bridge Photo Downloader" to download photos to my Mac. With the latest BR (ver 11.0.0.83) and PS (ver 22.0.0) update "Adobe Bridge Photo Downloader" has disappeared !! Could you help me find my "Photo downloader". Thank you very much, in advance.

hello, i would like to open my pictures with a double click in photoshop. Unfortunately, since the latest update, you can no longer adjust it. Maybe someone has a solution?

 I add location data, keywords and descriptions among other things to my files in Bridge CC.  Often the movie files (.mov) don't accept the data for unknown reasons.  Opened in CC and now 52 movies of hundreds in a folder show no metadata and. I go to CS6 Bridge and am able to add all those things, so they are like the rest.  Back in CC now 3 have no keywords. 28 no description. Purge cache and all but 3 Hermit Thrushes lack keywords. Add descriptions to all but Hermit Thrushes which wouldn't show any data before. Added location metadata. Add keywords and that disappears and no metadata again. Oh and now I see that the data under the thumbs is gone (number, date, size.)  I go back to CS6 and now those 3 Hermit Thrushes lack the data, but I'm able to put back.  All have the data under the thumbs.  Going back to CC, finally all movies have the data.  But not the 3 things under the thumbs that are set in preferences.  Am I the only one tha

The video I've attached shows what Bridge is doing. It doesn't do it on every image, just randomly. We've purged the cache. Any ideas?

An Adobe tech got rid of the awful camera raw that makes one take twice as many steps, or more, cropping and changing settings.  Now CC updated again and I am back to the unwanted later version of Camera Raw that more than doubles the time of my workflow.  These designers just seem to figure out ways to make things more difficult, it seems.  How can I roll back to the earlier version that worked fine.

Are their and recent tutorials for Bridge. I have the latest version but all I can find are old outdated tutorials that don't jive with the newest Bridge. This would be for a beginner. Thanks

Hi everyone, my first post in this community! I'm looking for a bit of help with scripting to automate copying files please. I've been writing a simple script to copy selected thumbnails from bridge to a different folder. I'm completely new to javascript so feeling my way through - one problem that I've run into is that when the call is made to create the new bitmap file, the orientation information is lost so portrait images appear as landscape after they're copied to the new location. Any suggestions as to how I can get the orientation information from the source file (the one that's been selected) prior to creating the new file? If I can get that then I can check if the newly created bitmap needs to be rotated but I can't work out how to access it. I'm not getting thumbnails in Bridge after updating to 2021 bridge. I also have not update graded to Mac newest OS as of yet could that be the issue? 

..the System is an iMac with 16GB RAM and after some hours of work the system reportst a shortage of memory. This is the Bridge while only been used to view pics and to start photoshop.

Hi.. when I make corrections for the color, clarity, warmth, etc., it's there but doesn't show on the thumbnails sometimes? When I correct one image and want to give the same corrections to the other similar images, I cannot find where to do that?When I go to crop, I cannot find those corner arrows that let me rotate the image a little.What happened to the tool that helps me straighten out my images? Suggestions? 

Hello there!I don´t use Bridge so I never install it but today it began to install without permission. I uninstalled 5 times´cause once is installed, starts for it selfwhile I´m working with photoshop. Does anybody knows what could be wrong?Thank you in advance.

Hi everyone, I have Adobe Bridge 2021 installed on a Macbook Air (13 inch, early 2015), running on macOS Catalina, version 10.15.7.Recently I began working with video files, and for me the best place to organize and view the video files would be in Adobe Bridge as I'm used to this. However, Bridge does not run properly when trying to view and organize video files. Thumbnails does not generate (even for smaller files), navigation takes a really long time, and Bridge freezes all the time. Can someone please advice me on what to do to make it work?Otherwise, what software would you recommend to view and organise video files?I didn't seem to find what I was looking for in Adobe Media Encoder or Prelude.  Please help!

I'm running Bridge 11.0.0.83 on a PC with 64 mb ram. This version doesn't seem to have a setting in preferences for max file size. It will not display a file larger than 1 gig. Due to the nature of my work I have some large files, many layers at hi res. Any ideas? 

Normally I can do batch transfers in a reasonable amount of time, but not in Bridge 2021.  This is bad.  Yesterday I tried to "copy to" about 100 jpegs to a USB.  Normally,  it doesn't pretty quickly.  Yesterday, however, after 3 hours, it was still not even close to being complete.  Now I am trying smaller batches and it's not much better.  I tried to copy 20 jpegs 20 minutes ago and the job is still not complete.  It also doesn't recognize some of my hard drives.

Similar to how you can instruct bridge to write external XMP files for DNGs, is there a similar way to do this for JPG? I've noticed that metadata is written by default into the JPG, even camera raw edit info.

Issue in Bridge CC when doing a batch rename renames the files but they have no file extension after.

Bridge 2021 export seams not working... again.The export just not start, or stay stuck in export window when your are on lightbox tab. 

Previously using BRIDGE/CAMERA RAW I could apply a crop to an image, save it and then move on to the next image to be adjusted or use the previous corretion.NOW in the New Bridge/Camera Raw if I apply a crop to an image ALL images will be cropped to that size if I move on and use the APPLY PREVOUS ADJUSTMENT.Is there a way to stop this?I know, IF I open the next image and adjust it then save the corrections the CROP will not be used...but is there a way to stop the automatic CROPPING??

As per subject, after upgrading Bridge and Photoshop this morning double clicking an image in Bridge caused an error.  Upon investigation I found that the File Type Associations in Bridge had not been updated to 2021.  Indeed, there was no reference to 2021 in the drop-down and the [Reset to Default Associations] button set the named associations to "Adobe Photoshop 2020".   I set them manually.
