Hi,since a couple of weeks (so it started before the latest update to Bridge 2020 and Camera RAW 12) I suddenly could't open image files in Camera RAW directly from Bridge. I would result in a crash of Bridge (and Camera RAW). And it happened both with small JPGs and with bigger RAW files. As I recall it didn't happen right after a previous update, as I only received Photoshop updates in the last 2 months, there were no updates for Camera RAW or Bridge.Now after the latest Adobe 2020 updates, that arrived this week first week of November, the problem still remains. I can only open Camera RAW in Photoshop, which doesn't cause issues, but I prefer opening it in Bridge.I doubt it's a hardware problem, as I have a Dell XPS 15 9570 with 20 GB RAM.   Any ideas for a solution?   {Thread renamed by moderator}

I use Adobe Bridge daily at work searching our servers for files, and all of a sudden I'm getting this error message when Bridge finds a file and I double click to open it... (see attached screenshot)   "The document "***" could not be opened. AIRobin cannot open files in the "Adobe Illustrator document" format."   This isn't only happening when trying to open AI files - it's happening when trying to open ANY file.

When selecting a videofile, all is normal. It plays back.But I can seem to get any WAV files to playback. MP3's it plays some only.And I can find no relation between the few ones that play and the most others that dont. All from same samplebank.In prefs I enabled both video and audio to playback in preview.Also I Audition I see no way to preview files from the Mediabrowser? Also no search??? (Off topic?)MTA, East1

My screens move without user interaction. I am working in one screen an another pops in front of it. I am using two monitors. Also I can be doing nothing and a bridge screen comes to the front and changes monitors.

• Running Catalina 10.15.6 and using the most current version of Bridge.• I can't create folders in or delete images from external hard drives.• I've reset preferences after shutting Bridge down, then re-opening using shift+option+command.• I've gone to System Preferences > Security & Privacty, then clicked Full Disk Access and enabled Bridge in the dialogue box.• I've right-clicked on the external drive icon, clicked "Get Info" scrolled down to "Sharing & Permissions" and clicked "Staff" and "Everyone" and attempted to change permissions to "Read & Write." When I do, I get an error message saying "The operation can't be completed because you don't have the necessary permissions." What am I missing?

I store my RAW images in an IMPORT folder that contains subfolders.Is it possible to set Bridge to display this IMPORT folder when started?I have a 4TB drive with lots of folders that I have to scroll through to find my IMPORT folder and would rather just have Bridge look to this folder when I start the program

What exactly does "Purge Cache" mean? In “Bridge>Tools>Cache” You have a choice “Purge cache for folder “XX”.That makes sense, the thumbnails for the chosen folder are recreated. In Preferences>Cache Management it says:Purge cache | Previously cached items that are no longer available may be removed from the cache| Purge All Local Cache Files . That explanation seems to be very misleading, and being more about compacting the cache.More accurate seems to be: Purge cache |Warning:  All cached thumbnails on your system are deleted and recreated next time Bridge starts| Purge All Local Cache Files . Is it a reasonable Request to have that text changed? And also with a better specification of which ‘All’ cache files that are affected:Which cachefiles are affected by “Purge All Local Cache Files”?Probably all .bridgeCacheT files in folders are deleted and reconstructed.But what about the .bridgeSharedCache folders?And other Cache locations in Appda

Does anyone else find that Bridge often freezes/crashes and causes other Adobe apps to crash?Also, often it runs at over 200% of CPU % in my Activity Monitor.Bridge : 10.10.163OS: iMac 10.14.6 OS, 24gig RAM, i7 4GHZ Intel processor 

Hello! Have an issue where I create InDesign snippets and save into a folder inside an Amazon Workspace. Inside Bridge (Bridge CC 2017 is the version doled out in this environment), I see a thumbnail of the snippet. However, another user inside the same Workspace can see the InDesign default file thumbnail, but not a preview thumbnail of the snippet.  We have tried purging the cache, refreshing, and other tips in other forums. The sizes of these files are remarkably low -- 100kb would be a stretch for most of the files we're working with.  I've attached a screen grab of my preferences, which match the other user's preferences who can't see the preview of the snippet. Any expertise would be much appreciated! 

Hi, I've been painstakingly assigning keywords to several hundred images the last month in Adobe Bridge 2020 on my Mac (Catalina). Today, when I opened the file to work on more images all the keywords are gone from the panel. Yikes! What do I do? Thanks for any help. Chris

If you're used to using Adobe Bridge and ACR, to speed-up your work procedure, be aware that it's not just the interface that has changed—the speed and functionality seems to require a lot more system resources.  For instance, I'm one who uses the crop feature quite a bit.  When cropping large images, one can no longer just draw a cropping rectangle around the portion of the image you want—you must a watch the screen lag as you drag the corner handles from the edges of your full image to what you want.  Then, when you double-click— you'll get a blank screen—a bug that I've not seen anyone else complain about.  I'm guessing that Adobe is trying to make the experience more like cropping on other programs, but this is really agravating!  The new Geometry tab's anamorphic guideline control seems to be more limited in the amout one can manipulate the crop too.  —Yes—after a good amout of time, I finally figured out where that feature was hidden!  Really he

How do I add Affinity Photo to the Panel which appears after - Open with  ?  I have properly installed Affinity Photo Software as well as Adobe Bridge. I just need to link these two. Thanks.

Hello,  Sorry for my novice question.  I have added a folder as a favourite with a large amount of pictures in it. Every time I enter the folder, Brigde seems to be rebuilding all the thumbnails. I think this has something to do with the cash. However, I don't understand the difference between the cash settings that are a part of the Preferences and those available under the Tools menu. All checkboxes in the cash settings in Preferences are checked but this doesn't seem to solve my issue. Do I have to set the cash settings at folder level via the Tools menu as well? Thanks, Emmanuel

Hi, when I use the export panel and save transparency from psd to tiff it looks black on the thumbnail.  This is OK as it is only the thumbnail. But when I export the same psd with transparency to jpeg, the background of the jpeg is also black.  In the past with image processor, it was standard white. Now it comes.  When I first convert to tiff with transparency and then convert those tiffs to jpeg.  The transparency is converted to white. Very illogic and I guess a bug.  I found one other post on this, but no answer from Adobe.  Also weird there is no report on this.

Why is it that, after 15 years, it is still not possible to specify which folder Bridge should open on startup? It's such an easy preference to provide.For example, in FastStone Image Viewer, the choices for which folder to open on startup are:System DefaultLast UsedSpecified So how come a free software can do this whereas the mighty Adobe cannot. It is so frustrating.   

I keep getting this message when I try to delete file from Bridge2020, mac Catalina. Just started after Catalina update. If I delete in Finder first, there is no error message, deletes in Bridge and Finder. If I delete in Bridge first, get error message and image is still in finder.

I put my Bridge and Photoshop in the same screen to show a comparison. Bridge UI is like twice the size of any other app. It's so weird. Is this intentional or some bug? Or some setting that I turn off? 

I used to be able to use Bridge/Output to create basic websites that had thumbnails of all the selected images.  It would even upload them directly to my server.  I used this to preview images for clients.   It appears that Bridge no longer offers the ability to create these preview websites.  Did the feature get removed or am I just missing it somewhere else in the software? If it is gone- can anyone suggest another way of previewing images online for clients?Thanks for any info!

This a known issue and has been confirmed. Process Collections in PS" and that caused an instant Br crash to desktop - no warnings or hesitation. It's consistent, now; every single attempt to choose 

I have the latest version of Adobe Bridge (10.1.0.163) and the latest version of Windows 10 Pro. For no apparent reason, Bridge has "decided" that the default "Open with" option for .braw files (Blackmagic RAW video files) needs to be uTorrent (!).It's a "decision" of Bridge alone, since the OS has the official BRAW player set as the default app to open .braw files. Inside Bridge, I can't see .braw format among the list of file types to change its default app.Any suggestion?

n Bridge 2020 my Canon raw files are not converted to thumbnails but  my still available Bridge 2019 will convert the Canon RAW to thumbnails

How do i get rid of Bridge v10.11 in Windows 10? I ignored it and now it's moved images without my permission or something. I want to get rid of it or make it stop doing anything at all. Thanks! Robyn 

Sorry to see this issue has been showing up in the forum since 2018: doesn't look good!Anyway, fwiw, I'll mention that when I right-click a thumbnail in Bridge and select Open with … Illustrator, Illustrator opens but the file doesn't. Stranger yet, the file appears in the Recent list.I'll mention this in the Illustrator forum as well, to cover both ends of the problem.

When I a open a picture in Camera Raw 12.3 version on iMac, I am not able to see/find white balance tool. How and where can I find it. I see the toggle sampler but not the white balance icon/tool. Please let me know how and where can I find it. Thanks
