I keep getting "No Items to Display". - I've forced bridge to delete preferences on launch.- I've deleted preferences, emptied trash, restarted. - I've uninstalled & double-checked for any leftover files, emptied trash, restarted and re-installed. My cache is in the default location. This is rendering bridge useless to me.15" Macbook Pro (2016) with touchbar MacOS high sierra 10.13.6Adobe Bridge 8.1.0.383
Bridge was always lacking in preview quality. Thumbnails and Previews were rough resamples, and full screen previews not necessarily representative, in terms of sharpness of original. The last Bridge update seems to have tackled that to a large degree. There has clearly been a lot of work under the bonnet to improve the thumbnail/preview cache generation. I can't say I've noticed a big difference in full screen previews, but I don't want to come across as ungrateful!Anyway. After the initial joy of finally working with sharper previews, I started to notice new problems...Occasionally, thumbnails will stick on the embedded previews or generic icons. I'd have to purge the selection's cache to get it to work.Occasonally, a whole folder will refuse to generate proper thumbnails. I'd have to select the whole folder for purge, or just close and reopen Bridge.Occasionally, Bridge (Windows) would crash out completely, and fail to restart, unless I opened Bridge with a different folder.I've alre
batch rename search and replace a pattern in a file nameinput file names like:Nominee_1999_v4_Artboard 1xxxhdpi.pngWinner_2001_v4_Artboard 1xxxhdpi.pngi would like the batch rename to be able to handle regex like partials and find and eliminate or replace a string that is consistent like '_v4_Artboard 1xxxhdpi'
Hello , my name's Łukasz.A have one question.I have Windows 7 64 bit, Adobe Bridge Cs6, Nvidia Quadro K420(10 bit) and Eizo Cs 230 (10bit).Is it possible to display 10 bit pictures in Bridge? If so how to turn it on.thank you all
Hello, I'm wondering if anyone can help with some general information on the Bridge cache working with Google Drive and Stream. I'm using Drive to hold video clips and accessing them from a couple of different computers ( and users). The functionality is just fine. I have it set up so everything is syncing properly. My only concern is the time it takes to generate thumbnails in Bridge. Would it be better to store my cache locally or on Drive? Sometimes, thumbnails won't generate at all. If the cache is stored locally (as it is by default), would purging the cache affect the files for other users/computers that access them on Drive? Thank you.
Hello.I have a problem with Bridge and keywords.I've changed the structure of my collection of key words and while I initially deleted all the words contained in the files, now when I assign a word that already existed previously shown me the new structure, and the old structure in italics.I guess that Bridge has a cache file stored somewhere but do not find it.I do not mean to Adobe Bridge file keywords.xml located in AppData\Roaming\Adobe\Bridge CC 2018. This contains the current structure. Some idea of where you can walk that cache file? Because don't think Bridge say that clears the key words of the files but then do so not? It's another possibility.
Does anyone have any comment on the practical difference between choosing "Prefer Thumbnail Generation Over Preview Generation" being either ON or OFF in Bridge? Which one is using the existing embedded thumbnail image within the file?Mike in Washington DC
I have over 230,000 photos on my hard drive. They are placed in hundreds of different folders which are all collectively located in a single folder called Pictures. My grandchildren are in their own folders. Our vacations are all in separate folders. etc, ect.I'm aware of how to locate a photo by keyword after I've selected a specific folder in Bridge. Bridge has been used to assign keywords to all of the photos of people in my collection. Each person's name is a keyword. My wife is named Larisa and that is the keyword I have assigned her in Bridge. Photos of her will probably be found in 40 - 50 different folders. Is there a way to assign Bridge to search through all of the folders in this collective Picture folder and locate and display, all the photos of "larisa"? If this is possible, then could I instruct Bridge to locate all photos of Larisa on the entire hard drive?
I have seen this commented on before but it was no help. I have the latest version of Adobe Bridge with the creative suite. I have it on 2 computers. On the 2nd computer it will not work anymore. It says building criteria and it stays stuck on that. I have uninstalled it, I have deleted the cache and preferences. Nothing works. Has anyone had this happen? If so please let me know the solution. I would love to be able to see my photos again.
I am using an external drive that has all my photos attached to an iMac with the latest version of Bridge . I am also accessing that drive using a MacBookPro with the same version of Bridge via the network (attaching to the iMac ). If I use either Mac to add metadata to a photo it will show up on either Mac. However if I add a label or rating to a photo on one Mac and then view photo from the other Mac the label nor rating will appear. All the other data that is shown in the columns appear ok, it's just the labels and ratings. Is this not part of the metadata and stays with the photo or are these 2 things unique to the copy of Bridge?ThanksI think I found part of the answer with the "Refresh" option. Now the same issue but with a folder, can't get the "Refresh" to do anything. I want to make folders that are in various stages of work and be able to see from the label where I am when using either computer.Message was edited by: Frank Barnes
Every single thumbnail that I select, opens up in its corresponding adobe App. I am trying to select multiple thumbnails and put them into review mode. This is something that I've done a million times. Help?
With no dark mode support that white window bar looks so distracting!
I've just noticed this - the images were fine when I uploaded them and there was no odd rotation. Not sure what has happened? but I'm losing part of the image and can't work out how to get it back. I'm using Adobe Bridge CC 2018 - Version 8.1.0.383
Hi all,With the new Bridge update I noticed the thumbnails are quite a bit smaller because of the new bordered placeholders. I usually have it scaled way down so the change is quite noticeable and kind of makes it harder to compare images. Is there a setting that I'm missing that can change this back? Thank you!!
Using Bridge to help sort and categorise large quantity of files mainly videos mp4's.The only issue I have is that Bridge creates audio cache files on boot drive (Adobe/Common/Media Cache Files), it seems to ignore preferences to located them on seperate drive. Is there a way to specify an external drive for video audio cache (.cfa) files?Bridge preferences seems only to allow thumbnail cache location.Any help would be greatly appreciated!
We've recently upgraded our file server here to High Sierra with APFS. Folder cruising used to work beautifully on all our iMacs and MacBooks connecting to the server, however now the dropdown lists appear in some arbitrary order rather than alphabetically. The Sort menu items no longer seem to affect Folder Cruising either.I see others have had problems with this for years, using windows shares etc and other versions of Bridge. Curious to know why this suddenly breaks now for us, and if anything can be done with it?Server is Late 2014 Mac mini running macOS 10.13.1Various iMacs and MacBooks mostly running Sierra 10.12.6 and Bridge 8.0.0.262Cheers
Most recent scenario: Return from vacation, download 100GB of video, RAW, and JPG photos (bridge PhotoDownloader), browse a couple (presumed LARGE) folders, and the next day "DISC NOT EJECTED PROPERLY"Too much troubleshooting to explain everything but is anyone else seeing this? Last year when this started, I ended up with 3 of 5 HDDs corrupt in like 2 weeks. Now left with 1 brand new G-Tech usb drive (2GB of6GB used) and the problem is back.LOST: multiple SSD drive's in (USB) DOCKLOST: LACIE 2BIG (thunderbolt) 6TB (2x 3TB seagate from HDD crisis) ie Backblaze lawsuitLOST: SEAGATE 3TB MEDIA CENTRAL (Ethernet)GTECH 2TB time capsule also wouldn't mount during this time but was being used for photo access in BridgeSymptom starts will "Disk Not Ejected Properly" notification, however files appear to be fine, until one day the Disc just won't mount and everything is gone. APPLE believes it is ADOBE issue, and wants me to "USE" my Mac without Adobe products, but the only thing I use my iMac
Hello,I have a special SSD just to hold Cache Files and wanted to change / move cache directory to that SSD.So, I change in all CC2018 Products the Standard Path "C:\Users\mhess\AppData\Roaming\Adobe\Common\Media Cache Files" to this SSD.-> No effect, System builds the cache files in the old directory (at least for Bridge CC 2018)
In windows 7, Bridge CC 2017 (7.0.0.93),When I use a normal panel window , it works OK, but when I use checkboxes on app.document.navbars.filesystem.top or app.document.navbars.filesystem.bottomthey are simply invisible and/or don't render correctly.Yes, my team is still using CC2014 and Bridge 6.2.0.179 because this doesn't work on our panels in bridge. The value still can be retrieved and is working when I click it, but the checkbox is 'invisible' and it doesn't show up or refreshes.
I have a bunch of files which have no Date Stamps anywhere in the metadata. The file system holds the Date Created and Date File Modified and I want to move those dates to IPTC fields. How do I script the pulling of dates from the file system and placing them into IPTC?
I am using Adobe Bridge CC 2018, latest update as of 1 March, 2018:I am unable to edit my metadata on .mts files. I have tried purging the cache but just can't get those little pencils on the right indicating I can edit the files. Have spent hours trying to figure it out with no success. Any suggestions? Also my date created dates have changed and are not the dates the files were actually created. How can I fix this?Any help would be greatly appreciated.Mike Whitehouse
