When I create a new folder in Photo Downloader I can manually type the new folder name into the dialogue box but I cannot copy the text from another source and paste into the folder name box. I'm using the latest version of Bridge (CC2017) on a mac running sierra 10.12.6. Can anybody help with this? Thanks!
With Bridge open, I'll select a folder location and close Bridge. When I reopen Bridge the folder location will show "No Items to Display". If I select another location and close/reopen Bridge the original location will appear again. The folder location that is last selected will show "No Items to Display" when Bridge is reopened.Windows Server 2008R2 Enterprise 32bitBridge 4.0.0.529
Hello All,I was attempting to use Bridge to view a folder on my iCloud but did not have it saved in my favorites. Try as I might I was unable to locate the iCould folder in my Bridge favorites, so I opened up my iCloud folder in a finder window, then dragged and dropped it into the "Favorites" panel of Bridge. Once the folder was there it did not show any images and just stated "1 hidden". Then when I went back to my iCloud folder where the photos USED to live they were ALL GONE! I even tried to hop on my iCloud through a web browser (hoping they hadn't linked and they were still gone). HELP! I need to know how to recover my photos, and also how to link my iCloud folder to my favorites in Bridge so I can access photos from there in the future.TIA! Sincerely,PANICKED!
Hello everyone.I am looking to use a metadata field in InDesign as either a "Live Caption" or a "Text Variable". I found this script that will populate the "Description" field with the file name. That's 90% of my battle. What I also need this to do is remove part of the title in the description field for the Caption/Text Variable. Our file name titles are very strict, and different for different programs. To clarify:My • Program • the file name actually used.inddHer • Programs • the file name actually used.inddHis • File Name has • the file name actually used.inddAll that I want to show up in the description field is:the file name actually usedThis script does not put .indd into the description, that's good. But I need to be able to put in MULTIPLE beginning variables to be stripped out. E.g. My • Program •Her • Programs •His • File Name has •I have very little understanding of adding to this script. I would rather not have 2 scripts for one action. If anyone is able to help, I would a
Holy crap. Could they make it any more difficult to get support? I've gone around in circles for 20 minutes now and I'm tired of jumping through Adobe hoops to get some service.I have a simple question about Bridge. Do they not support Bridge anymore? I can't find any. There's nothing that pisses me off more than clicking on "Contact Support" and just getting another set of questions and being forced down a limited selection of potential trouble shooting avenues when none of them apply to my question and none of them lead to direct contact.I give up.If Adobe cares about hanging onto to this customer the best try to contact me.email: <69911s@symnpatico.ca>
Bridge CC 2017 v7.0.0.93. I have the latest Output Module installed. When I adjust images in Camera Raw through Bridge, I can get them looking exactly the way I want. Looking at them in Bridge in the Essential View or the Output View Film Strip they look fine. In the main Output Preview window the do not look the same. If I refresh the preview they still do not look correct - they appear much darker. If I Save the contact sheet and open it in Preview or Acrobat Reader I have the same problem - they are too dark. When printed, it also comes out too dark. Other Camera Raw adjustments (like crops) show up just fine. Very puzzling! Any help? My monitor is profiled on a regular basis.
How can I view my photos from my macbook in Bridge? I can only view photos located elsewhere (i.e. my desktop)
Hi. We have a few users at our workplace that only require the use of Adobe Bridge CC and not any of the other Adobe CC apps. Can one simply make an Adobe ID, use it solely to download and install Bridge CC and be able to use Bridge CC (and only Bridge CC) past the typical 30-day trial period WITHOUT signing up for a Creative Cloud subscription plan? Or does one need to have either an active trial or an active subscription to be able to do this?I was under the impression that Adobe Bridge CC was installed and managed separately from the rest of the Adobe CC apps and would be offered standalone for free. If someone knows these details, I'd love to know too. Thanks.
For comparison reasons I made a folder with 15 video files of the same clip in different codecs like ProRes, DNxHR, CineForm and h264. Bridge works fine but every time I open that folder, the program just freezes. In task manager it doesnt say "not responding" it looks like its working normal but it doesnt. The files all play back just fine in quicktime,VLC,premiere,AEI'm on Win10x64 CreatorsHas anybody had the same experience when working with video files?
I have read these lines:Long-running handler operations create and return Operator objects to perform time-intensivefile-system operations that block the main thread. Adobe Bridge view code or your display codepasses the object to app.enqueueOperation() to initiate the action when appropriate. But I couldn't get it. Please could you help me in a snippet of code explaining how to execute copyTo command in the background.
I'm curious about it and I want to check if it could be a way of avoiding the interface stop. For example, we can find Image Processor script, but we can't find Batch Rename script.
As suggested here http://helpx.adobe.com/bridge/kb/install-output-module-bridge-cc.htmlI downloaded and installed Bridge CC Output Module. The module looks blank when I launch Bridge. I already tried the two workarounds for "Possible Issues", covered at the bottom of the download page, but none of them worked for me.Anybody else with this problem?I'm using Windows 7, 64 bit. For a long time, I had a problem with Bridge in that it would display properly on the 4K monitor of my Dell 7710; however, if I moved it to another display (e.g., my Dell 2713H), Bridge would suddenly span all three of my monitors (Dell 7710, Dell 2713H, and Cintiq). I solved that problem (which is why I mention it here) by installing NVIDIA's nView Desktop manager (Applications>Individual Settings>Bridge>Window Control> uncheck the enable application to span multiple monitors box). Just recently, however, I'm encountering a different problem. Some action with my mouse--I say "some action" because it occurs so quickly that I can't figure out what I actually did: Accidentally pressed R-click? Just held the mouse in a given position too long? Not sure what--some action causes Bridge sometimes to turn black, then disappear. Sometimes to again span multiple monitors. Sometimes to change the relative positions and sizes of windows within Bridg

I have Bridge CC 2017 running on Windows 10. I installed the AOM according to the instructions in How to install Adobe Output Module in Bridge CC 2017. At first, I got only a blank Output section, but with a few tweaks I got things working except:When I start Bridge, I getJavaScript error(C:\Users\Thomas\AppData\Roaming\Adobe\Bridge CC 2017\Startup Scripts\AdobeOutputModule.jsx:388): Bad argument list.Once I click OK on the error message, Bridge comes up, and things appear to work OK so far.How can I get rid of this error?Tom
Is it possible, in a folder with lets say 50 images or so, to easily select all images that contain a (Photoshop)Path (and move/copy them to an other folder) without having to open all images in Photoshop and check manually if it contains a path or not?I really like to be able to see if a image contains a path without opening it in Photoshop. It doesn't matter if it's a Work Path, Clipping Path or just a single dot of a path.Is this possible in Bridge or in an other way (on Windows)?
Hi peeps, so here's my problem. I have about 10TB of content - images, video etc spanning years - of content. I know that some of the content is duplicated with slight variations because I have had multiple backups going on. In other words, my backups have been disorderly. At the moment I am trying to use win 10 to navigate and manage my store of content. I would like to know, does Bridge have the tools I need, or is there something else I need to use in order to manage my content? Most of my images and video are off mobile phones, but I have various different cameras and video cams worth of content at different resolutions and bit rates. Also CGI animations and video productions. I'm now trying to organise this stuff so that it makes sense. What is the best tool for this? I also have to add that I am at a point where this 10TB of data is currently a complete mess so I need some method to organize it into something that is not such a mess.
Same camera and computer that I've been using to make panos for years. Mac 10.11.6 Bridge 6.2.0.179 PS 2015.1.2 It uses up all my disc space (100 gigs) trying to merge just 11 jpegs!
Sometimes, I need to navigate to a file in order to see what project created it. For example, a video exported from AE, but can't remember what project. Usually, Bridge can show a line like "creatorAtom:posixProjectPath: /Volumes/.." and so on. Other times, this line is now shown in Bridge. Where is the setting to make sure that AE, Premiere, Photoshop, Illustrator ALWAYS include this metadata in case I need it in the future? Thanks for any help.--Alex Campuzano
The filmstrip in Bridge is not displaying correctly, sometimes showing everything. When I click on another preview style and then click back I get the below. Can someone please advise. Many Thanks,Stew
Hi, Having trialled ACDSee and found image colours jaded compared to Photoshopand BreezeBrowserPro (BBp), then found it was on sRGB, so set it to AdobeRGB1998, the standard I have all progs and hardware set to, its now generally ok, I open same image in Bridge, its looking like the jaded sRGB, where is the colour management setting to set it to AdobeRGB1998 ?As its an Adobe product they are bound to have it settable to their standard ! Furthermore as its for file selection one needs to see if the image is looking good and worthy of being taken further and made use of etc., or should we be using a non Adobe prog ?I have used BBp but just wondered what Bridge made of things., first use finds it fallen at first hurdle. Somewhere is this colour management setting but where ?Merlin
Hi,I recently changed to OS Sierra (10.12.4). Since then when i go into Bridge (cc17) to get photos from camera, i get the message 'no valid files found' after the pop-up loads. The pop-up does show it recognises my camera (Canon 1Dx mk2). The camera communication with the computer is functioning when using Canon Utility 3 software both in terms of image download and tethered shooting. Please advise on how to resolve this issue, allowing me to download images again via Bridge. Thank you. Michael
