I’ve been using Adobe Bridge for years, and I’ve encountered a recurring issue where my Favorites and Collections suddenly disappear without warning. I don’t rename or move any folders, so I’m not sure what’s causing this. Has anyone else experienced this or know why it might be happening?   

I am using adobe bridge as the photo archiving system in my photography institution where large number of photographs are produced. These photographs are to be archived for hundreds of years and i am afraid that the bridge archiving system wont last forever. So i need some of your suggestion, if the adobe bridge archiving system lasts for long period of time. Thank You !

Searching for ANYTHING in Bridge, on both my Mac and Windows PC, returns either no results or limited results.  I have relied on search for many years, and it has been completely unriable for some time now.  I include "search subfolders" and have selected "if all criteria are met" and "if any criteria are met."  I have tested many different ways, and searched for items directly within a folder that I know are there., like files  created with a date or known file name.  I can SEE THOSE ITEMS but search doesn't find them.  This is a real problem. 

We're using a custom workflow in Adobe Bridge Workflow to generate JPEGs from TIFFs, and we'd like to retain the same resolution and pixel dimensions of the original files. We used to be able to select "Scale image: 100%" for this. Now, however, it always will change the resolution to 300ppi unless we select a resolution and dimension to resize to. This doesn't work great for us since we generate JPEGs from files with varying dimensions and resolutions. Why does Bridge always change the resolution to 300ppi and is there a way to fix this? We're using version 14.0.1.137.

Hey everyone, I’m having some trouble after updating to Bridge v14.1.2. The program recognizes all the locations and folders, but it won’t actually open any of them. I’ve tried restarting multiple times, but nothing’s working. Has anyone else run into this issue? Thanks for your help!

I am on a Mac m1 Mini running Sonoma 14.6.1 with an Adobe Creative Cloud account with LrC, PS, Bridge, and Camera Raw. Recently Adobe update Bridge to version 14.1.2 and I upgraded the app. Today I tried to launch it and I get the following error: Looking at Finder, the date created and modified for Bridge is Nov 3, 2023. I uninstalled and reinstalled the latest version and got the same error. I uninstalled and installed 14.1.1 and 14.1.0 to no avail. I also went back several months to recover Bridge from Time Machine and nothing changes. I have also verified permissions. And checking the web and Adobe forums have not helped.Any suggestions would be most welcomed. TIA

They look really really bad. This has been a thing for at least 2 years now, one day bridge updated and it just started using really low resolution thumbnails and you cannot tell what it even in them most of the time. If you look in the %appdata%/adobe/bridge/cache folder you can find 256 and 1024 thumbs, but it only uses the 256 thumbs and there is no way to force it to use the higher quality thumbnails it caches. I don't know if this is just an issue no one noticed at adobe or if it's an issue they aren't seeing on their own dev versions, but I've confirmed it with multiple other people at this point, including adobe. Sometimes if you scroll fast enough in bridge for it to not generate a thumbnail, it will use the embedded thumb for the file, or a preview version or something - and this embedded/preview of the file is far higher quality and loads quicker than any of the generated thumbnails. Is the latest Bridge 14.1.2 swapping the dimensions incorrectly in export? Exif

When i try to export 100 Files out of Bridge als JPG, it takes very much longer, than 2 month before.100 Files needed at least maybe 3 Minutes, now something about 20 minutes. (same size etc.) Has anyone else noted the same slowy doing?

I was hopeful with the new Bridge (2023 v13), the annoying image flickering would disappear; it didn't. So when I watch a picture in full-screen mode, the photo is flickering. If I load the image again, the flickering might stop or not. Does anyone have the same issue, and what could be the solution? Hello,I'm on a 2020 M1 Macbook 13" with the latest update installed; Big Sur 11.5.2 and just updated all my Adobe apps. Bridge version is 11.1.185 and Camera Raw version is 13.4.0.872.I have tried using 'Get Info' via the Mac's browser to launch Bridge using Rosetta 2, but the check-box option in the Get Info menu for Rosetta is not featured. I've attached a screenshot of the Camera Raw error message and another of my Preferences in Photoshop to demonstrate that all my other Adobe apps besides Camera Raw are not giving the error message. Please help if you can: Adobe Bridge is still one of the main tools in my workflow. Thank you

In the older versions of Bridge, when I was in the Filmstrip Workspace, I was able to quickly and easily remove all of the other open windows, and display only the main window by pressing the tab key. In Bridge 2023 (Version 13.0.0.562) when I press the tab it just cycles through different buttons I could activate on the screen. I used to enjoy having my Filmstrip Workspace were in the middle was my main preview window, then I had set up with contents on one side, favourites and folders, filters and collections on the other side. Then after selecting three of eight images, press the tab key to just have a full-screen view of all selected images in the preview window.  It didn't just work with the filmstrip workshop, this is just my example, it used to work with any workspace, and when pressing tab it would hide the side windows.  How can I get this back? Did it change to a different key? Or can I create a new keyboard layout that will restore the old short

Hi,I just started with Bridge 2022 last week and I ran into a problem.I rely heavily on collections and as a result I will have a long list of it.Say I want to create a collections of all countries around the world then that would result in a long list and it would require lots of scrolling.Ideally I would like to create sub-collections. Something like this:Continent - Country - Province - CityIs that possible and how do I do that?

I have had some problems with my PC (running W11) as a result of a corruped drive.  As far as I can see these problems are now resolved but I am left with one remaining issue. I can no longer rename files in PS. I can rename in Windows Explorer as normal  but when I try to rename in PS, using right click, the text is highlighted as usual, but when I try to type the new file name I get the error message "invalid type conversion". Can anyone assist please

All this pitiful discontent, and adobe are nowhere. You know what happens when you don't listen to your userbase for long enough? As soon as the next nearest functional thing comes along, they leave in droves.   I've just installed bridge 12.  It works.  What exactly did we gain from the last 2 versions?  What bells and whistles were worth sacrificing usability and stability.  Bridge is not a creative tool. If we were in a workshop it would be a vice: it's not sexy. You just need it to work, but boy do you notice when it doesn't.  It sends a clear message about your entire company and your absence here shouts it louder.  I met a former Adobe employee the other day, he came from macromedia: Back in the days when I was doing his job for him - evangelising adobe products to anyone who would listen.  How the mighty have fallen, but hey who cares about the users, or the products when you have ker-ching!  

I have windows 11 Home  22H2 and bridge 14.11.274. Until an hour ago I used window structure filmstip in adobe bridge. two things have happened:I can not access PC, for it says in the content window that  No Items found. This makes searching liited to using the favorites and Folders panel. That is slow.The various panels in the window are not coordinated.  So If II enlage the filmstrip the preview panel  stays the same size.I have reset preferences and rebooted the computer several times.Thank you

you had one job...! 21000 jpegs in a folder.  Xn view can handle it with no problem.  Bridge absolutely chokes.  Its interface becomes unusably slow, moving from one image to the next takes seconds. It doesn't appear to be busy creating thumbnails, and I've left it for hours seeing if it will cache, but its just as useless at the end.  The folder is 180gb.so how big a folder can it handle?  

I showed this bug to Adobe Care who suggested I send it to the community. Would anyone know how to fix this? The metadata fields do not show all the information contained. Look at the video I shared to understand the bug that happens

I am in Bridge 2023. I want to open a file in Photoshop 2023. I double click the image and what happens? It opens in the Preview app of my iMac computer, as though I was using Apple's Finder!! I right click on the image in Bridge and yes, in the top spot for an Open action I see Photoshop 2023. But it's not working. In the 'Open With' set of Application options I see that Preview is designated as the Default. Really? Bridge thinks that I want to use Apple's Preview every time I want to open a file?  One thing to add - I recently stopped using Preview as the Default app to look at PDFs with and am trying out Adobe Reader app. Could this change have caused Bridge to malfunction? Anyway, I should not have to right click on a file inside Bridge in order to make a selection for it to open in Photoshop.  Do I uninstall this version of Bridge or what?

I added about 6,000 photos into a file and they were all fine, but now this one specific file is read only and I can't rotate images and I'm not sure how or why it changed?

Does this latest version resolve the Sandisk CFexpress reader problem. I am reluctant to upgrade just in case there is still a problem.  I am currently using 14.0.2.191.

I just started using bridge 2024 after using a 2018 version for years and never had this problem. I have a new imac oS Sonoma 14.4. When in Bridge it does not always show the correct preview. It is double generating one next to it. The image preview seems lagging after I sort them and move around. I tried emptying the cache, again it's new not used much yet. I am importing jpegs that have been processed in lightroom and I want to sort them in bridge in a certian order, then change the image numbers sequenced. I attached some screen shots.What am I doing wrong?thanks

Hola, hasta hace poco, uaba Bridge para añadir a mis fotos palabras clave, títulos, descripciones, etc. Desde hace unos días, al poner todos estos datos y darle a la opción de aplicar y guardar, no se guardan. A alguien más le pasa? QUe puede ser? Gracias.
