Cursor not behaving in text Example: In a pragraph of text, I highlight a word, go to the character palette, adjust the size and rather that the type getting bigger, the cursor jumps to the beginning. This applies to all paramters. Some keyboard shortcuts work.But not all parameters have a shortcut Tried different fonts.Tried new project.Tried restarting. Very frustrated.

Hello, I have ran into issues with After Effects that are severely frustrating. I work on small and big projects, yet, no matter the size of the project I have, it will still trigger a BSOD seemingly out of nowhere. It is most consistent with exporting I notice but still crashes sometimes when I am simply editing, I have no idea what causes this and there isn't a single action or effect that causes it. I have exhausted nearly every option so far and have contacted Microsoft support 5 times and Adobe support 2 times over this. I am on the newest version of Windows 10, with the newest version of After Effects, with the newest version of graphics drivers. My last contact I had with Microsoft support suggested I reinstall After Effects, and to do an "in-place upgrade" on my Windows, yet it still occurs. I get no clear indication of what causes the BSOD error, it used to be a wide range of errors, but I mostly see "iqrl_not_less_or_equal" and more recently "service system exception" af

Ok. I have NEVER seen anyone with the same problem as me. Every single damn time I go to render a video in either AE, or Media Encoder using AE. The video comes out green. The video still has the sound effects, video effects, etc. No, it's not when I import a video. It's when I RENDER. The video looks fine in AE. And when it comes out green. I mean GREEN. Entire video is green. When I try to watch it on my PC, it's just a green video. NOTHING has fixed it. I don't know the issue. My specs are a RTX 3060 ti, AMD Ryzen 5 1600 Six-Core., 16 GB Memory, Windows 10 Pro I think. Please. Please someone help. I've spent so much time on edits and NONE of them come out correctly. 

I and several other users noticed that our auto-save settings had been switched offWe don't know when this happened, and some users didn't experience this issue.  I'm on Windows 10, and I this was on AE v 23.3, which updated 22 days ago.  I wish I could tell you when I last saw it autosave, but I can't with any confidence.  In the past the settings have been preserved across multiple updates. 

As a long term creative cloud all apps subscriber working as a freelancer in the industry, I'm %100 sure After Effects has a memory leak issue still today.. Ae 2023, empty project, fresh vanilla installation, 1440P  .h264 footage and just a single tricolor effect on top, footage playback speed is %30 (timelapse) and scrubbing around the timeline, changing one of the colors of tricolor effect and memory usage is %99 in less than a minute.I have a 64GB Ram 20cores running at 4.3 no stability issues whatsoever. This memory leak is using approximately 57GB's of ram..This problem started happening with the version 2022 I believe..  

I'm working on a character Rig, and After Effects keeps auto selecting a shape I'm not working on. When I click on other shapes on the viewfinder, I can't deselect it. I don't know what's going on. It's been incredibly frustrating and has been hampering my workflow.

Hi,  When I replace premiere pro 4k footage (which I've duplicated and put above timeline) with after effects composition, the footage is out of sync with premiere pro composition. Any guesses why this is happening? The frame rate is the same and this happens even if I don't edit the clip in after effects at all. Meaning even if I simply click replace with after effects composition and then press save in after effects when I look at both clips there slightly out of sync. I've tried exporting the after effects compositing and then importing it into premiere it is still slightly out of sync. Thanks in advance,Anna

I have C300 MKII footage that is Canon XF-AVC Intra 4:4:4 L5.0. Previously, I was able to import the MXF into After Effects and it was correctly interpreted as full range (ie, did not apply a legal to full). This matched how Resolve (auto) interpreted the material. In After Effects 23.1.0 (on M1 Mac Studio), this same material is being read as legal range and applying a legal to full transform. Please revert the proper interpretation of this material, or, even better, allow users to override After Effect's auto interpretation of legal or full.

Hello, I have a problem with Rotobrush tool.  I used it on a clip, freezed the result and everything was good, until one moment without a reason it stopped working. There was no error message or anything, The layer just displayed as original regardless of the applied effect. I tried to unfreeze the propogation, but this button is no longer clickable (I attached the screenshot). All the foreground and background strokes remained. I also tried to copy this effect to duplicated layer, but it produces quite a different result and still requires a lot of refining work. The shot is hard and long and I don't really want to do most of the work again.  I would be really glad if anyone could help me with this issue

Comp 02 has desired Hindi text-string, but is displaying incorrectly. Copy + paste target Hindi text-string into Text Layer in Comp 01 or Comp 02.Expected result - Text Layer should be overwritten with Hindi text and display correctly.Actual result -  Text Layer is overwritten with Hindi text but displays with broken ligatures and characters out of order.Wrong Display:Correct Display:Hitting "Reset Paragraph" or "Reset Character" on either Text Layer fixes the Hindi text problem, but removes user Paragraph/Character settings. There is no user-exposed setting that I can find correlated with the issue. Text Layer's are used in a MOGRT meant for multi-language deliverables, and "Reset Paragraph/Character" is not an option once MOGRT is exported.

Top and bottom camera views do not display anything in 23.3.  Left, right, and front seem to work. Windows 10.

I recently built a new pc and it's quiet powerful compared to what I used before. But now, I've been noticing a serious issue with After Effects 2023. While previewing any video, many glitched frames are being generated which go away when I clear the cache. The glitches are like, some random frames of the video become dark blueish, as if I had applied hue/saturation on them, where as 1 or 2 frames get inverted (up side down).The moment I purge memory and disk cache, the glitched frames are gone, but after 1-2 minutes of scrubbing through the timeline, more glitches come back to different places in the video. I am not able to understand if this is an issue with my RAM (because it being ddr5 has high frequency but it also has a high cache latency) or SSD? Or maybe it is just an After Effects version issue. I am currently using After Effects Version 23.2.1 (Build 3). Someone please help me fix this problem.These are the specs of my new PC: ProcessorIntel Core I9-13900KF Desktop Proce

I'm not even sure if I should report this as a bug, or create a discussion. I'm going with bug, because this is clearly not supposed to happen in my operating system and I wanna smack the dev that thought this was a good ideaearlier today, I needed to access my appdata to clear some caches for a clean reinstall of a different program and...I found a number of Adobe folders, all for After Effects, with characters that took up less than a pixel, or partial pixels. After copying and pasting, I figures out these symbols automatically existed before the cursor, making them impossible to remove if they're the first character in a string. It's absolutely stunning!It's also absolutely reckless and dangerous activity, for a trusted program to engage in.The characters are ֑ ֒ ֓ ֔ ֕ ֖ ֠ and ֣  , though they actually change depending on the exitence of spaces, have some glitches when copied, or being the first character in a string. notice how this is multiple in one character, usin

Yesterday, AE was working fine. I am on insane deadlines right now and was working all day.Today, I turned on my machine. Premiere works fine. Photoshop works fine. AE didn't open properly... Everything initialized, the program opened visually, and I could see my custom workspace... but none of the plug ins or extensions finished loading (motion 3, etc), and AE never became the active app on my machine. I could click on it in the dock, command tab to it, etc... I could grab the AE windows and drag them around, but I couldn't click anything within the app, but the Menu bar belonging to OSX at the top of the screen would never say 'After Effects', only the last app I had open.Anyone had anything similar happen?

Hi to allI have a CEP bundle I developed that is made out of two panels with different ids.Encountered a strange issue on Windows machines only: When manually closing one panel the other panel remains but goes blank/empty - all the buttons disappear and all functionality stops.Any advice on how to solve this?Thanks!

Something that always works for me on mac is when I overwrite an image sequence, it updates immediately. On PC it never updates and if I choose reload, nothing happens. In fact, if I import that footage, it doesn't even add a (1) or something at the end. The file name is a duplicate. Not sure what else you need for specs but this is saving to an external SSD drive and it is the latest version of windows 11. Restarting the application or machine does not fix this.

HiAfter Effects no longer remembers where it last rendered as it's default render location.You HAVE to click on the output module and select it evety time you open After Effects.I have noticed that if I have used an Animation Preset, it will go there instead of the last rendered location.If I havn't it will go to the last location but only after I select it.Hope this helps with the long overdue fix of this. We're using a lot of output template for every delivery: somehow in the last weeks the output for EXR with DWAB compression stopped remebering that we want the "Use Comp Frame Number" setting always ticked on. The setting is remembered on other image-based output seetings, such as PNG, EXR with PIZ compression, and others.We tried to change the setting from various angles, but at any quit of After Effects the software doesn't remember it. This happens on both PC and MAC with M2.We're all using AE 23.3.0We use MacOs 12.4 and Windows 10 Pro 21H2Thanks!

(this is on my Macbook) so yesterday i was trying to use the "BCC Damaged Tv" effect and they gave me an alert and i've tried everything. i've downloaded a older version of AE, downloaded and lower version of BCC and i tried upgrading i even asked in different servers but i can't seem to find out what's wrong and i'm really hoping that my MAC it's the problem my specs are Macbook Pro (Retina, 13- inch, Early 2015)Processor 2.7 Ghz Dual-Core Intel Core i5Memory 8 GB 1867 Mhz DDR3Graphics Intel Iris Graphics 6100 1536 MB

Al momento de importar documentos en psd no se esta renderizando las capas y encima no me carga como capas sino como una especie de icono de imagenes, y siempre la carga con un tiempo de 00:00:10 segundos por mas que busque cambiar ese tiempo no me lo permite, cuando abro documentos anteriores de after me carga con normalidad pero solo cuando intento importar estas composiciones de photoshop pasa estop porfa ayudenme con una solución inmediata 

I'm getting random dropouts of layers while rendering in the latest update. Layers will disappear for a frame and pop back on the next. What's strange is that I went back a version to 23.2.1 and the randomness has gone away, but I'll have layers with frames that are out of sequence, like 1, 2, 4, 3, 5. Any help or advice is appreciated otherwise I can't show anything to clients.

Hi. I'm getting nothing but horrible crashes with Maxon's Denoiser III (2023.2.0) in the latest After Effects update (23.3). As soon as I open a comp that has the effect applied it crashes out. Previously (on a Mac), I'd get an error dialog giving an out of range error (sorry didn't do a screen capture) and be able to keep working. Now it just crashes out with no recourse. I've also let Maxon know about this. Windows 10, Pro 21H2, Threadripper 3970X.

Just updated to 23.2 this morning. The font in the expression editor has changed to a non-monospaced font, which makes my code so much harder to read. Can't seem to find any solution. Thrashed preference files, loaded older preference files, tried a reinstall, still stuck with this trainwreck of a font for scripting.Any tips to what I should do, besides waiting for the next update to (hopefully) fix this? My Specs:MacBook M1 ProMacOS Ventura 13.1
