I've been working on my mesh for a couple of days and everything worked fine. But now when I add a new layer and add a mask to it, the mask is extremely pixelated. This isn't a UV issue where the UV is too small, because the rest of the layers aren't pixelated. Any guess as to what the problem is? Thanks for the info/help! I'm using version 8.1.3On WindowsI don't know the steps to reproduce as it just happened.Expected result would be for the texture to not be pixelated.
I tried using a custom cage again today and noticed its still brokenThe preview window will show the custom cage properly but when you bake and have multiple texturesets it will give you a jumbled bake results .However when i tried importing the same meshes just excluding ones that were a second textureset and did the same for the custom cage file the baking worked properlyits a bug within the software that has been there for a while now
I've encountered a persistent bug in Substance Painter related to the Height channel at the seams of UV islands. When working with the Height channel, an annoying ridge becomes clearly visible between UV islands. This issue has been known for a long time, and many users have gotten used to it. However, can't this be fixed at the program level within Substance Painter so that it works correctly? I understand that in real-time rendering, padding between UV islands isn't applied due to performance costs. Nevertheless, it would be beneficial if this function could be enabled on individual layers or through some other method. It's 2025, and it's surprising that this problem still hasn't been addressed. I hope the development team can look into this issue and consider implementing a solution.

We must be able to open/work/save on mapped drive, and share a library beetween users. Our structure count about 20 artists working on mapped drive on windows 11 over Nas network. All workstations are 128Gb or more Ram, 10Gbits Lan, 20Gb Vram mini. Substance Painter V 10.1.1 Every time i remove micro height from curve or AO generator, Painter getting not responding
Hello. Let's start with some basic information:1. Substance 3D Painter 2022 (Steam) - Version 8.3.12. PC - Windows 103. I'll describe it further4. To prevent the computer from crashing I was working on textures for my projects as usual. I noticed that Height in my file gives a noticeable "ladder" - a transition between different values in the Height gradient, as if it were an 8-bit texture. For the sake of testing, I opened the default MeetMat sample and did not notice a problem with Height in this file. I started checking what could cause the "ladder" to appear and changed the scene settings.When I set the texture quality to 4096, Specular quality to "Ultra (256 spp)" and try to uncheck Bent Normal, the PC restarts. I have no idea why this sequence causes a restart. After the first crash, I opened the program again and tried to reproduce this situation, this happens exactly if "Specular quality" is equal to 256 spp and if the model has a drawn Height, and this di

Hello, I have this problem when I start painting on a layer, some kind of grid is displayed. It's definitely not the model, I checked other projects, they have the same problem. I also changed the display of shaders, it didn't help. What could be the problem?
Every time I use a modifier or assets that have an image input and then click on the "X" of the image to remove it, my Substance 3D Painter crashes and doesn't recover until I close the program. When I perform an integrity check on the files, it shows that there was an error validating 22 files. I've been experiencing this issue since yesterday (November 5, 2024).My Substance 3D Painter is installed via Steam, version 10.1.1 build 4060. I've already uninstalled it and even formatted my computer, but the issue persists.
my Steam copy of Substance Painter 2022 was working fine until yesterday (22/11/24), but sudently today it wont open and an error for 4 dll's appears that reads: ''Some features of Adobe Substance Painter 8.3.1 may not work because we can't confirm who published (DLL) that the app tried to load.''The DLLs giving the error are: usd.ms.dll, assimp.dll, OpenColorIO_2_1.dll and embree3.dll.I tried a bunch of troubleshooting including, re instaling the app, verifying the integrity of the files, sfc scan on the cmd but windows continues to block due to the lack of a digital signature in the dll's.Any ideas on how I can fix this?I believe Adobe should provide a patch with signed dll's to avoid false flags by windows in the future.
I am unable to use the Substance 3D Painter program as it crashes upon opening. Additionally, I cannot download 3D assets or textures from the Adobe Library. Despite uninstalling and reinstalling both the program itself and Adobe Creative Cloud multiple times, I keep encountering the same issue. This problem, which is preventing me from working, has become very frustrating. Could you please help me identify the cause of this issue?

Problem with display in viewport while drawing or working with filters or generators.
When I export to PhotoShopSome layer modes, such as Darken (Min), are not reflected and are converted to Normal layer mode by themselves, resulting in a different appearance.In addition, color correction functions such as level correction are not reflected, and the colors look different.The version I am using isSubstancePainter v10.1.1PhotoShop 2025I would like a solution to this problem.
Hi there I have a mc m1 worked with Pt fine until I updated to newest version. I "fix" the issue by uninstalling and reinstalling but then after closing and reopening later same thing: crashes! So if anyone has experienced this and has a solution it would be so appreciated. Thanks 🙂
Hey, for a long time I've been having an issue with opacity not displaying correctly, i.e. it showing off a white edge to things. Is there a way to fix this? I've used TGA files.^ This is what the alpha map looks like. It works perfectly with the diffuse but I'm not sure why when importing it into SP it has those edges. The issue also appeared when importing things back into SP after I've exported from SP (and they looked fine when I exported them).
Hello, We have this critical error message "Substance 3D Painted encountered an unexpected error and is now exiting, please restart Substance 3D Painted and send a crash report.Reason: Failed to relocated to saved project file ..." Do you know what is the problem? We have free space in disks and 128GO RAM ... Thank you in advance.

I have the Substance 3D Painter 2024 version on Steam. Every time I open the "Add preset layers" option and then exit that option, the program crashes. This has happened to me 3 times in a row now.

I got a free year subscription to substance painter as a student last febuary and just today I tried to log in and Adobe had a pop up that asked me to sign in. When I entered the email I had used for my student account it said I didn't own substance painter and I had to buy it. Has anyone else had this problem occur?
Eight months ago I got Painter and Designer for free through the educational licences. It's supposed to last a year, but suddenly my apps are locked and I get a message saying "You no longer have access to this app. Contact your administrator for more information." Last time I used it was a week ago and it was working just fine. None of my classmates are experiencing this issue either.
Hi, I know since oct. 2023 we have translucency inside Painter. I try to do a simple heart shape here Two layers in vertical order. heart - fill layer with a black mask stamping a heart alpha. glass - fill layer with green as color and translucency 1. My issue is the green border I get. If the mask should do a good job here, but it doesnt notMy final goal is to export those map and apply them inside Arnold. They look wrong here and they also do inside Maya Arnold. I did create inside Photoshop a similar colo map and a transmission map and I look fine. Maybe the translucency is not fully good to use right now? Or is there something I do wrong here?
I'm doing a new thread because following the steps in other threads gave no results and I'm at my wits end. Pen pressure stopped working randomly with no changes made to my settings or hardware on my part. - I did uninstall/reinstall both substance and huion drivers. - Pen pressure is working in other software like photoshop. Pen pressure is working in the pressure test window of the huion settings. This confirms it's a substance issue. - Windows ink is activated. Any help would be greatly appreciated. If I can't work reliably with substance i'm going to have to move to another painting package and I don't want to.
