Please add the option in Python API to change the color spaces of the sources coming from desinger. we can do channel mapping and edit parameters but color spaces is also critical for automation since normal by default is always set to directX which isnt ideal.
Im not sure if its been a change in placement or organisation within the new version of substance painter but i cant seem to find the blue bake button within the baking section of substance painter, here is a screenshot of the issue
2025 Substance painter steam verison white screen on launch and crashes. The program just stalls out on the white screen. I have reinstalled the program on steam and tried to re-verify intergrity of software files with no luck. I attached the log file thats found in Appdata.
I cant make out if this is a bug or simply an application limitation. When I export out a targa or Tiff file, Painter will export out the alpha in the RGB-A alpha channel as expected, but never for a PSD export. Why is that?
Hello.I have modelled a 19th century coach in blender. I wanted to leave out most faces that are occlued (just because i think that is good practice and right, not because the rendering time of this model is critical - this is just for fun/hobby).When importing it into substance painter (11.0.1) as obj (or fbx), and rendering the mesh maps, ambient occlusion and curvature fail.The same thing happens, even when adding the faces (with same uv coordinates for the other faces).I first suspect it might be because of the non-manifold meshes, but the log doesnt give me really any detail.And after making trying a manifold version as well, that cant be the reason - I guess.[Resources List Model] Symbol memory budget set to 100MB.[Plugin – resources-updater] No project opened, resource updater discarded[Baking] Baking failed (ambient occlusion map from mesh)Internal error. When i bake the 3D Models the Software dosnt even touch my GPU. My CPU is on 100 % while GPU is just on 2 % Is that normal ? When not how i can change from cpu to GPU ? CPU: Ryzen 7 5800xGPU: 6800x32 GB RAMWindows 11
Custom Masks Breaking after latest Update. Tried reinstalling the old version again, and masks are ok. Have you changed something that affect Custom painted masks? this shouldnt happen since many projects can be destroyed because of it.
I bought the indie subscription on Steam to try out Painter for a month. However, when I launch in Steam nothing happens. It simply quits without any screen appearing and no error message. I have tried different proton versions and also without so that it tries to run native Linux version. Initially I had a libtiff symlink issue that I resolved. Now if I try to launch it from the terminal I get the error qt.qpa.plugin: Could not find the Qt platform plugin "wayland" in "". I have searched the web, but I cannot figure out what causes this issue and how to fix it. Any help would be much appreciated. Specs:CPU: Ryzen 7 3700XRAM: 32gbGPU: RX 7800 XTOS: Linux Fedora
I have a student account that is provided by my school that includes the substance software and should also include the assets library when I checked the apps in my plan. However, when I go to the assets library it only shows a button "subscribe" and it doesn't allow me to download.

I have tested multiply and differences blend modes but other blend modes does the same, the base colors are the same but with blend modes they appear different with photoshop photoshop, even if I have the same base color and percentange, filled the color layers manually or exported the layers from plugins. Is this intentional and is there any way to solve it?Or can we have the specific mathematical algorithm that Painter and Photoshop uses so I can have like a conversion formula?

Hi,I recently upgraded my system to an RTX 5070ti and installed the latest drivers. However, I'm encountering an issue in Substance 3D Painter where the rendering process gets stuck on "Iray render warm-up." I've waited for several hours, but the message remains unchanged. I've attached the log file, and I didn't find any error messages in it. If you suspect that my GPU might have a shortage of ROPs, I can assure you that my unit does not have that issue. Can anyone help me to fix that problem? It's kinda urgent ... Thanks
I only see export mesh and export texture.
Hello,I am using version 10.1.2 and Windows 11.When I try to export my textures it doesn't work, in the log says "[Library agent] Failed to save updated preset 'Arnold UDIM Legacy (AiStandard)': The default library 'starter_assets_1' is only available in read mode because you don't have write permission on it.". I want to export my textures in Arnold UDIM Legacy (AiStandard), exr 16 bits. If someone can help me please, thank you.
Hi, I have a strange issue with the new version ( 8.3 ) of Substance painter. When I am going to render view and try to render an image, it is rendering until I touch something. Even clicking on the blank space between buttons resets render. Iterations reset to 1, and the image is blurry. It won’t be such a deal, but pressing ,, save render” button causes same result - render resets and i cant save renders with more than one iteration. Few things i noticed: it works like that for every project; when I moved back to 8.2, problem disappeared ( i have the project in 8.3 version so i can’t edit it there ); Iray resets render even when i am changing windows on my computer. Also tried to reinstal Substance few times, nothing helped. I am working on m1 Mac with Ventura 13.01. Does anyone know how to solve it? Thanks in advance
Hello, I've been trying from a couple of day to open my Fbx files on Substance painter for my college assignments but I'm not able to. I've heard somewhere to try Obj files but Obj files are not opening as well.I've also tried cleaning up the file in maya and also reinstalling substance painter but it's still not working. Please help!I've attached the screen recording below while trying to open the file, I'm getting the left bottom corner errors.
Issue:I receive 3D model files from my team, who work in KeyShot, and when I import them into Adobe Substance Painter, the model appears disassembled or not fully put together. Hi, I have this weird effect happening when baking the ambient occlusion of my mesh. I can't seem to find the problem.
I'm needing some help; I just bought Substance 3D Painter 2024 off of Steam and it immediately gave me this error:[ACEComponent] error while loading ICC profile data:invalid profile I don't know how to fix it, and is failing to load my project files as well. I attempted to sign in via my google account to fiddle with my profile as well, and for whatever reason, I keep getting these errors as well: Any advice is welcome. Using a Legion 5-15ACH6 Laptop (Lenovo) - Type 82JW with Windows 11 Home x64.
I have had this problem for a year now. The substance painter in my home is slow and lags 10-30 seconds when it completes any action (change layer, move object, paint, any simple action). It is not a hardware problem. I have a Nvidia 4070 GPU, 32g of DDR4 ram and an intel i7 12700K which has never had any problems (never with maya, unreal, etc., even with heavy files) except with with substance painter. The every file lags even if it is small or large. I contacted Adobe customer support 4+ times, and they always tell me to remove my VPN, and update my drivers which dont work. My drivers are already updated and it still lags. I also uninstalled and reinstalled substance painter, which didn't work either. I went into settings and increased the RAM cache, which worked for a bit but then slows down quickly. The files are not corrupted as I have tried them on other people's and school computers and they work normally, even when these computers have worse specs than me.summary: su
I am using Mac Sonoma with PCOIP to Rocky 9 Linux with Adobe Substance painter version 9.1 running on the linux side. For getting the color picker tool to work on one monitor I have had to setup specific window focus settings on linux to get the tool to work.(Rocky 9)Window Activation Policy : Focus Follows Mouse(Rocky 9)Focus stealing prevention : Extreme Now I am getting the behavior of the tool auto-cancelling when I try to move the mouse over to a second monitor. Is there a setting I should be enabling in order to get cross-monitor functionality to work with the color picker? Thank you for any feedback you can provide.
Hello there,I'm having a really weird issue and never encounter it before, when I bake by mesh name (all the name are correct, indeed I have no warning too, see pictures) only the normal map is baking correctly (see picture) while the AO and Curvature are not, taking in account the rest of the meshes.
Each time I try to bake mesh maps of any object, even a simple cube, these ambient occlusion artefacts appear (attached image). Does anyone know what that is and how to fix it?
Painter has been crashing at random times after simply pressing CTRL Z.When I create a mask for example and want to undo something, it crashes.When adding a filter to a layer stack and I want to undo something, it crashes.It has been doing this across multiple projects, multiple times.
