In older versions of Premiere, you could take a ProRes file which you knew was incorrectly flagged as interlaced or progressive, interpret the footage to the actual frame structure, and export to a new, correctly flagged ProRes file, WITHOUT re-encoding it.On more recent versions, for some reason when exporting, the Premiere and ME completion time just rises to many times the duration of the material, making it unusable.
Hi,I have this problem already for almost 2 years and I cannot seem to find a solution for it. And I am not the only one: https://adobe-video.uservoice.com/forums/911233-premiere-pro/suggestions/33849352-save-thumbnails-cache-for-project-panel-thumbnailThe generating of thumbnails in the project window is annoyingly slow. It really is the only thing in Premiere that slows the whole editing process down. Example: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=UbCvkeJvLv4&feature=youtu.beIt is not really the generation of thumbnails itself I believe. The thumbnails can generate quite fast, but Premiere only generates the ones that are visible in the project window at that moment. So the moment I scroll down it has to generate those that become visible...than I have to wait...scroll down...etc. Only this way I can make all the thumbnails instantly available when needed. But once I close Premiere...and start up the project a next time it all starts over again. The thumbnails don't seem to be generate
I've never had this before but when I apply a saved style to a load of subtitles, it usually takes on the style perfectly, but at the moment it's enlarging my captions by about 5 times. My client has very specific needs for the style, size etc and when I set the subtitles to the correct size manually, it doesn't correspond with the actual size that text usually goes to when using that size. This is really difficult to explain. Basically the captions will not allign with the specific styles I've created for them.I'm in version 25.4.0 of Premiere and I'm using Sequoia 15.3.2
Because we have so many reports and bugs of the playback lag since 23 point something. Can we get a stable version, even a light version, something. Something that turns all of this extra stuff off that keeps lagging and bugging things down so we can actually use the program? Paying so much for a program that's industry standard, that you can't use, is just silliness. I don't have time to learn resolve, I just want to get these projects out, and not be up til 2-5am trying to get the thing to play. Or at least leave a working stable version that is known to work up so we can download it until you fix whats going on.25.4, 24.6.8, Windows 64Processor Intel(R) Core(TM) Ultra 7 265KF (3.90 GHz)Installed RAM 32.0 GB (31.5 GB usable)System type 64-bit operating system, x64-based processorNvida 5070 580.97 Studio Driver
I have brought in a clip that is 24fps. I modify that clip to playback at 23.976. Everything works fine. I close PPro. Let's say I had to move that clip to a different Hard Drive. I re-open PPro, it then asks where the clip is. I point it to the new location, but it now changes the frame rate back to 24 upon re-linking even though I had the clip set to 23.976.I feel that this is a bug as we should not have to re-modify clips that we re-link that have previously been modified.
Hi,,I am editing on a mac, with Premiere 2025 and clips that I had carefully edited the day before, are no longer there or have moved when I open up the next day.I have never had this problem before.Anyone else experience this? What is causing it?Thanks!
I own a a drone business and all of a sudden adobe cannot handle or recognise drone footgae from a DJI Matrice 4 , a Mavic3 or a Minpro 3. When we try and convet using third party softwware ( wasting time) results are very poor and unusable. We have just lost a client thanks to teh problem. What is going on. We have not had issues like this in 25 years of being a professional adobe user. This needs sorting asap or we will move software providers. Our PC is powerful with a good graphics card and 64MB Ram
Mogrts won't show opacity lines. Check attached image for visual reference, the mogrt is the clip tagged as green. How I encounter the bug?1. Drag and drop the mogrt from Graphics Template to timelineWhat should have happened?Show opacity lines like other clips as it does in previews versions of Premiere Pro (eg: 25.0) What actually happened?Clip (mogrt) doesn't show a line to quickly add a keyframe. Tried other fx such as speed and the same happens. Like if the line was disabled. All third party mogrt's and after affect video template's cause immediate crash on both Premiere Pro and After Effects. Specs:-M2 Ultra Mac Studio, 15.3.1 -Premiere Pro .v25.1 and all v.24's-After Effects v.25.1Here is what happens:After installing mogrt's, just afterputting it onto timeline, Premiere Pro crashes and closes itself. As for AE template, all aep files or project files that have been created by video template developers wont work. The project wont load up, crashes or if I drag the aep's to the project itself, it crashes as well and shut itself down. What I have tried so far:-I viped out/deleted all of the graphic template files alongside with both programs wit their preferences and install again. I used cleaner tool as well.-I tried to add mogrt's in all possible ways. I dragged them into graphic templates panel, manually copied pasted to the mac's path (.../Application support/Adobe/Common/Motion.../). The motion graphic panel shows their thumbnai
Hi,I have a number of sequnces, each a rushes roll. I want to export to a small H.264 file with burned-in timecode. I have added the Metadata and Timecode burn-in Effect (I only need timecode) and it works fine prividing the sequence is playing or is scrubbed through. But when the sequence is paused, it disappears. If I export it also doesn't feature on the exported file, even after rendering.. I have used this feature many times in the past but doesn't seem to work now with Premiere Pro 2024 24.1.0 Any ideas? Thanks,Steve
This has been happening more and more over the last few months. The Premiere *interface* (not playback) has become unusable with input lag. For example, when hovering over the ends of a clip to trim them, it can take anywhere from half a second to three full seconds before the cursor changes to the trim tool. This same thing happens when trying to drag clips around the timeline or doing things like dragging clips from one timeline to another. Even something as simple as clicking a clip can take several seconds just for the clip to become highlighted! I've tried every solution I've seen posted on these forums, reddit, youtube, etc including cleaning cache, resetting the workspace, setting audio input to none, clean installing the program, updating GPU drivers, etc. I'm working with mostly .MXL files but started to notice these issues with .mp4 as well. I'm on a Windows 11 machine using Premiere 25.3.0 and will note specs below: 12th Gen Intel(R) Core(TM) i9-12900KNVI
This happens way too often. I try to drag a video file into my timeline from a finder window in Mac and it bounces back to the finder, refusing to go onto the timeline. I'm then forced to import it into the project and THEN drag it into the timeline. It happens on projects where I was able to drag video and/or audio clips onto my timeline and then it just randomly stops. I'm tired of it and it's happened over the course of at least 2 years. Fix this. It's a blocker.
The problem is: Premiere 2025 doesn't recognize Devanagari (Hindi) fonts correctly, it drops/ breaks/ unlinks / disconnects / etc... the leters that are compound letters such as a P and a Ch constonants combined together.1. Open a new project2. New sequence (any format from the sequence choices)3. select the Text "I" beam tool and click on the monitor window4. Copy and paste these words into the text box: दृष्टि श्वेत प्राप्त 5. optional: choose the "Adobe Devanagari" font from the properties window (this font I installed through the CC font system)6. Compare the on monitor screen results with the original three Hindi words above in point 4, they don't match. The problem is that Premiere 2025 font engine isn't supporting the correct ligature for the Hindi (devanagari) script, this problem has presisted throughout the versions of Adobe software and it is so frustrating! I have several subtitle tracks in a sequence. When exporting/rendering, I select “Create sidecar file” -> Subtitle track 2 (U2).I send the export process to Adobe Media Encoder. When I check in Adobe Media Encoder, subtitle track 1 (U1) is now set for export again. But it should be U2!Assumption:The export project is not being transferred cleanly from Premiere Pro to Media Encoder.
Bug applies to Release 25.2.3 and Beta 25.4.0.44 (first identified in Beta build 40). Now that multiple caption tracks can be enabled, I think I have correctly sorted which caption track will be exported to a sidecar. Basically, it is whichever track shows in the captions tab. See my post here: https://community.adobe.com/t5/premiere-pro-ideas/choosing-subtitle-track-for-export/idc-p/15360809#M21162 As I say there, "File -> Export -> Captions appears to have a bug. As expected, it is not greyed out when a track shows in the Captions tab. But it exports the highest numbered caption track (last added) without regard to what is enabled/selected. For example, if there are 3 caption tracks (C1, C2, and C3), and only C2 is enabled and only C1 has a segment selected, the SRT export is from track C3." Steps to reproduce:1. Create sequence, transcribe, create 3 Subtitle format caption tracks. Modify so caption segment 1 in each track has different text. 2. Enable trac
Hi everyone, for several reasons I have no choice but to edit from a network server on our local network. Despite the performance increase from having the footage stored locally, with the size of our projects this is just not possible. However I’ve noticed that despite having fully spec'd out servers and network infrastructure e.g 100GP/S networking and fully ssd server arrays, Premiere runs far slower on the media server than having the footage stored locally. From testing, there is no bottlenecks from the desktop to the server, Premiere just doesn’t seem to want to use the full 100gb/s bandwidth, the network drives are faster than the local drive and its mostly one editor at a time accessing the files. Is there any way to force Premiere to perform better over the network, optimise it or prioritise it.This is a issue that has been plaguing us for years that we have fully kitted out machines but the software just isn’t quite working with me.appreciate your time and effort for reading
Hi there, I'm facing quite unique issue, where i was editing animation and putting the AE comp to Premiere Pro timeline via dynamic link. it was hell lagging but i think it is common since AE was never smooth when it comes to long animation. long short story, i jump to another project in Premiere pro, entirely different from this.but i experience lagging on the software it self, even just to open dropdown menu from the panel.the video that previously smooth during playback, now lag as hell even after doing some proxy and render and replace.but it run smoothly when i switch to software only for render and playback.here are what i have done so far to solve the problem : - clear the cache- update my drivers- change audio setting to no input- creating proxy- render and replace- re-install premiere pro- change other version- my SSD space still hugely available.- re-install windows ( at first was alright back to normal, but after i run AE and render it, it back lagging again ) all
ProblemPremiere Pro crashes on export when using a .mogrt lower third that has simple IN and OUT animations (no heavy effects). When stretched on the timeline for long durations, memory usage steadily climbs until failure. Hi, my gaussian blur effect is not working on the edges of a clip. Other clips are fine with this effect. I tried other solutions and checked the forum. Nothing help. I tried to restart, not helping. Can Adobe Premiere Finally fix this 4 year old bug? Here is the image with the problem:
Issue - When attempting to apply a creative LUT to an adjustment layer, the selected LUT will not preview in the Lumetri Color Panel. If I apply the same LUTs to source footage and not the adjustment layer, they will preview. Adobe Premiere Pro version number: 24.6.1 Operating system - macOS Sonoma 14.6.1 System Info: CPU, GPU, RAM, HD: (Mac Studio) CPU: Apple M2 Max RAM: 32GB Hard Drive: Internal SSD Video format: .mp4 8-bit h.264 from GoPro Hero 9, also with DJI Osmo Pocket 3 - .HEVC 10-bit 4:2:0 Workflow details: This is with any sequence. Any project on this machine. I’m applying a source footage to a track and an adjustment layer to a track above. This same process works just fine on my windows PC machine. So this is why I think it’s a bug or a setting that I have not been able to replicate. This problem exists if it’s a Adobe supplied LUT or a custom LUT from a 3rd party. Steps to reproduce - Add a source file to track V1. Add

Hi Adobe, this issue is still going on after two years now. Every single time i am reversin video clip i need to make after effects composition to fix the bug. It happening when having progressive footage and working on interlaced sequence. Two times i got tv show rejected because of that issue, qc reported wrong field order. Please! Thanks
Changing the video file's RATING inside Premiere Pro's Project panel changes the video file's MODIFICATION DATE on disk. This is completely messing up workflows relying on this data and there is no need for this because the RATING is a Premiere internal metadata, doesn't make sense that this would make any change to the file on disk.
