Summary of the issue: When I import specific effects presets in Premiere Pro, they do not save after I exit and return to the application. While some effects within the preset do save, certain specific ones, such as the "shake" effect, are not saved. Steps to reproduce the bug: Import a custom preset that includes multiple effects, including the "shake" effect. Exit Premiere Pro. Open Premiere Pro again and check if the effects have been saved. Expected result: All imported effects, including the specific "shake" effect, should be saved and available when I reopen Premiere Pro. Actual result: The "shake" effect (and some other specific effects) is not saved, even though other effects within the preset are retained. Additional information: I am not using any third-party plugins or panels. Please find my system specs and exact Premiere Pro version below: Windows 11, Premiere 24.6.1.
Issue: Adobe Premiere Pro fails to apply audio transitions using the keyboard shortcut Ctrl+Shift+D. Adding transitions via handles also doesn't work. Attempting to adjust volume with keyframes breaks the UI, hiding the mouse pointer. Also attaching a screen recording for your reference.- Steps to Reproduce:1. Open Adobe Premiere Pro and create a new project.2. Add two clips to the timeline (make sure you have enogugh frames for the transiton to apply).3. Try applying an audio transition using Ctrl+Shift+D.4. Attempt to add a transition using the transition handles.5. Add two keyframes on the first clip and try lowering the volume with the second keyframe.Expected Result: Audio transitions should apply correctly, and UI should remain functional.Actual Result: Transitions don't apply, and UI breaks when adjusting volume with keyframes. - Tests done:1. Reset App Preferences2. Cleared media cache files3. Reset plugin loading cache NB: There is no porblem for adding a
Hello,I noticed a bug where :I have a lot of nested sequences with text and a background image in it,they're colored in different colors to match the person speakingAnd when I double click on one of these nests to open it and then come back the color came back to default(Also works when opening the nest from the project's folder)Please fix itThank you and have a nice day
Whenever I open a saved project, create a new project, or switch between workspaces, the project panel resets to sorting clips by frame rate by default. This is extremely frustrating since I am constantly switching between workspaces and need to reset the project panel to sort by clip name by default every time. I have tried resetting app preferences, resetting preferences via support team, and creating a new view preset to no avail. I would love if someone could help me fix this issue, which seems to be a bug. Has anyone solved this problem? I am making a topic here as a last resort because this issue was supposedly escalated by the support team but I did not get a confirmation email or number after the call ended.
We are working with an audio partner who has noticed that our mp4s made in h264 (and sometimes h265) are mute for approx half a frame. The same is true of Media Encoder and Premiere pro. When we import these into Premiere Pro the Waveform aligns with the WAV supplied by the partner. But in Davinci you can see there is a muted and delayed half frame.Exporting the same audio clip from Davinci to mp4 we aren't seeing the same delay/muting.The Quicktime is fine.I would love to have a workaround for this so that we can continue to deliver Mp4s from Premiere or Media Encoder.
@jamieclarke I am able to reproduce this issue on Adobe Premiere Pro 25.3 on both Windows and MacOS silocon using the following mkv file: https://drive.google.com/file/d/17nQ8RnMJnEa4L1l4wnzc4rYgmm5DY6vN/view?usp=sharing Steps to reproduce are: 1) Create a brand new default project 2) Import the above mkv and add it to the timeline 3) Go to the export tab and hit export without changing any settings You should see that the encoding takes a very long time to complete (predicts a few hours for this short 30 second video). You should also see the red error icon in the bottom right appear and if you cancel the encoding after a few minuites you will see the below errors (more errors the longer you wait). Note that I see the same issue on Windows regardless of whether I starting with holding down shift and select all available reset options. These are some of the errors I will get. Also note that the above mkv file appears to play fine
Hi everyone,I’m developing a UXP plugin for Premiere Pro, but when I load it using UXP Developer Tool, I get the error: Plugin Load Failed. Host Application specified is not available. Recently I have begun editing HDR videos for YouTube. After learning color management and figuring out how to get SDR clips to look correct in exports, I managed to get a proper-looking export of my sequence. For reference, these are the settings I used for the export: Unfortunately, I have run into a new problem. In order for YouTube to enable HDR streaming of an upload, the upload must contain appropriate HDR metadata. This appears to be done in Premiere Pro by checking a box in the Export screen labelled "Include HDR10 Metadata." However, checking this box automatically changes the Performance drop down box to "Software Encoding." Attempting to change the box back to "Hardware Encoding" to use Nvidia Encoding instead displays this message:The problem is that encoding with CPU takes five times as long as encoding with the GPU, which is inconvenient. I'm not sure why the encoding device should make a difference as far as metadata is concerned, seeing as it is possible
I exported a project yesterday, and when watching the exported file, discovered that a little translucent grey square appears whenever text appears. It doesn't matter where the captions are located; the square always appears in the same area. The strange thing is that the square is only visible if I export with Adobe Media Encoder (25.3). It is not visible if I export in Premiere Pro. And it's not visible in Premiere Pro's preview window either. I'm pretty sure it's an empty text object with a translucent grey background. Although Premiere Pro doesn't show it in the preview window or its exports, when I switch to the Text tool and mouse over that area, the cursor changes, so I can select and delete it. However, I would have to delete it for *all* of my text captions, which is a pain. So my questions are: 1) Why would Adobe Media Encoder's exports differ from that of Premiere Pro? I thought the whole point of Adobe Media Encoder wa
Just updated to Premiere Pro 25.3 and getting severe lag during playback and timeline scrubbing, even at 1/4 resolution. Playback starts fine for a few seconds, then begins stuttering hard.Tested the exact same project and footage (4K H.264, Canon R5) in Premiere Pro 22.2 — no lag at all. Same system, same settings. I’ve used 22.2 for a long time without any issues, even with high-bitrate 4K.Seems like a regression in 25.3. I’ll probably revert to 22.2, but curious if anyone else is seeing this.
In the latest version of Premiere Pro, the divider between videos has become light-colored, making it difficult to see where one ends and the next begins. Is there a way to fix this? Here’s an example: minimize a video track and split it. The cut between the two segments turns light-colored, making it almost invisible. This makes it hard to distinguish the boundaries between the parts. I know how to fix this — by increasing the track width, but that reduces the available space. Are there any other possible solutions?(mod edit subject and merge similar posts)
Hi, I'm having trouble with Premiere Pro's mask tracking. After advancing a few frames, a message appears indicating that it can't continue because a frame isn't being rendered or that the frame has timed out. However, when I restart the application, it advances a little further and the same message appears again. This happens with all the videos I try to perform mask tracking on. What is the cause of this and what would be the solution to this problem?
I don't understand why the exported video is only showing the top half of my photos. Here is the working view: Here is how it looks after encoding:Any guesses for what I'm doing wrong? Sorry, I'm self-taught, so pretty ignorant, though I've successfully made half a dozen videos before with Premiere Pro, so I'm not sure what I've done differently. I appreciate your help!

Hi everyone,We’re currently evaluating newer versions of Premiere Pro for use in a high-demand production environment, and we’re running into major performance issues with the latest builds — specifically versions 24.5 and 24.6.In our workflows, we deal with large-scale productions, multiple nested projects, and growing files that are actively being written to disk while in use. This worked quite well under version 23.6, where we had minimal to no slowdowns or stutter during playback, timeline interaction, or project switching. However, with both 24.5 and 24.6, the experience has become nearly unworkable. Interface responsiveness drops significantly, timeline scrubbing becomes laggy, and working with growing files causes serious performance degradation. It’s gotten to the point where we’re unsure which version we can safely rely on going forward. We’re hoping to get some guidance from the community or from the Adobe team:Which currently supported version is best suited for handling large
Podem me ajudar?
I have been having issues with the timeline in PP, in version 25.2.1, I have rendered proxy files for some h265 iPhone SDR footage. the clips will plat for about 2 min or so, and then the program monitor starts to stutter and within a few seconds of that it stops playing completely. I have been monitoring the Taskmanager, and when this happens the GPU resources got o zero. There is no crash, a wait a couple of seconds, hit play, and it will play the video fine again for another 2 min. This happens with the proxy turned either on or off (its watermarked also). This GPU utlization screen shot shows exactly the where the program monitor stops responding and freezes the video frame, this one is playing the H265 Iphone footage. The drop off you see in the resource monitor on the GPU is exactly where the program monitor stops updating, and freezes on one of the video frames. (this is with Proxy ON) All the drives as Sams
Not even sure how to phrase this, but essentially if I have 2 tracks of video and I re-position one of them, the layer underneath does not appear until I change the position to some arbitrary amount before it's revealed. If that makes any sense. The layer underneath just appears as black until it the top layer is moved an extreme amount and then it will reveal the bottom layer. It doesn't behave this way in ever instance and I don't know the reason why/when it decides to do this. Attached a video to show what I mean. Using PP 25.3.0 with macOS Sonoma.
Using version 25.3.0 (Was getting similar issues on older versions too.) Just doing my normal edits. Working with 4k footage. Single timeline open. (I do have a few of my bins in thumbnail mode, curious if this is part of the issue.) When I get ready to export, I press cmd+M to export, the program will not go to the export screen. I click on Export, and it shows up as highlighted, but the window doesn't change to the export mode. When I check system resources, Premiere is using 30+ GB of RAM. Close the app, relaunch, only sing 8GB of RAM, Exporting works as normal and expected. I have noticed the Premiere will gobble up a large quantity of RAM as I edit, but it's not consistent and I don't know what the cause is. Running off a M1 Max Mac Studio with 64 GB of RAM. Still using Sonoma 14.7.6 because things mostly work and I'm hesitant to change things...
Premiere has been incredibly long since the last updates. (Project with some Insta3460 files and the GoPro Plugin) So far it took around 40 minutes with my Max Studio M2 max. Now it takes 6 hours when exporting! Please fix quickly!
Hello, I have the latest versions of PP for my Macbook Pro and PC. But when trying to use DLOG-M files in editiing after a few seconds of scrubbing along the timeline they just freeze. Rendering makes no difference, not exporting - the latter just shows the first frame of each shot. It's highly frustrating as the Windows version of PP is fine. I have tried converting too in Media Encoder, but these seem to fail. Need to be able to work efficiently in PP on my Macbook. Also installed on the Macbook is FCP and there are zero issues with DJI files, but I prefer to use PP.
Hi Adobe team,I’m facing a serious issue in the latest version of Premiere Pro 25.3.0 while importing OBS MKV recordings with multiple audio tracks (Game Audio on Track 1, Mic on Track 2).Here’s what happened:I imported all my recordings from a client project casually into Premiere. For Clip 1 (Day-1), Premiere correctly imported both game and mic audio. But for Clip 2 (Blue Prince Part-2, 2 hours long), Premiere only imported the game audio — the mic audio (Track 2) was completely missing from the timeline. This initially caused panic, as I assumed the audio wasn't recorded — but after checking in VLC Media Player, I confirmed that Track 2 (mic) is present and working.🔍 Investigation & Observation:When you import one clip with two audio tracks, Premiere sometimes doesn’t process both tracks right away. Then when you import the second clip, it only uses one track, skipping Track 2 completely — even if it exists in the file. This behavior is inconsistent and creates serious issue
Updating to 25.3 caused issues with Premiere as well as Media Encoder communicating with Lucid Link. The files affected are proxy video files (Quicktime - MPEG-4 - 1920x1080, 23.98). I get a continuous stream of "Error retrieving frames" messages during playback and rendering. This affects all my projects, but only the proxy video files. I pinned all the media in Lucid to the internal drive, same issue. Rebooted, shutdown and restarted, cleared prefrences and cache files, same issue.Going back to Premiere 25.2.3 and ME 25.2 fixed the issue. Apple M2 Max96GBOS Sequoia 15.1
