I just signed on to a new job and everytime I open the production, the Production panel pops up but as soon as I try to navigate within it, it freezes and I have to force quit. It worked ONE time and was perfectly smooth navigating around various projects without a hitch for a couple hours... then I closed Premiere and tried to reopen again and it's just back to crashing over and over. None of the other editors are experiencing any issues. I'm on a Mac Studio M2Max, Sonoma 14.6.1, 64GB RAM, 1 TB storage (more than half free) all media and the production is hosted on a LucidLink filespace, which I tend to think is operating fine since it was smooth sailing once I got past the initial production panel.
I have 2 project files (1 After Effects & 1 Premiere Pro). Both v24.5.0 running on Mac OS Sonoma 14.5 with 64GB RAM. Both files are saved side by side within the same master project folder as per usual and my cache is 100% clear with 3TB of fully dedicated and available space. All 14 Dynamic Link Comps from After Effects are perfectly synced and functioning as intended inside the Premiere companion project file. Every time that I open the Premiere project, it only takes a few seconds for all the dynamic links to reconnect with their related After Effects project (which again lives side-by-side within the same directory). Once these dynamic links are all connected in Premiere, I then open the After Effect project file and everything still remains linked. Here’s where everything breaks down: As soon as I make a single update to any comp and save changes within the After Effects project, all of the dynamic links inside the Premiere project immediately go off
Timeline Scrubbing in Premiere has slowed down imensly lately. I use the recent Beta of Premiere because of the timeline mousewheel zoom Problem in the regular Premiere version........It only appears when lumetri effects are added to the clips.Sadly even with all fx disabled and proxies enabled the scrubbing keeps getting worse over time. The scrubbing speeds up after deleting lumetri effects, but this is not an option because of workflow.Resetting preferences, clearing media cache, and not using cuda is not working.Reinstalling Premiere is also not working. Nvidia Studio Drivers are up to date. The PC is an intel 13700K, Geforce 3060 , 128GB Ram, footage is on internal nvme drives.I attached a screencapture.
I am entering subtitles using the caption function.Sometimes there is a bug where the video plays when I press the space bar. However, if I enter subtitles in the Caption tab, this error does not occur. This error occurs when I double-click and edit a subtitle. This error occurred 3 days ago. How do I solve this?I tried installing another version of Premiere Pro, but it didn't work.
I've been using Productions (currently on Premiere 24.3.0) for the past year on multiple feature docs and smaller projects. The biggest problem I've faced is improper linking between clips in sequences and their sources in other projects. For example, a clip inside an edit sequence in a "Sequences" project won't "reveal in project" back to the source clip in a "Media" project in the same Production, even if it was cut into the sequence from that project/clip. I've experienced what many others have: "Recovered" clips being generated in the sequence project, Premiere unable to locate the source for a clip, etc. I've used all the known solutions to some degree of success [Reassociate Source Clips; dragging clips back into their home folder, Consolidate Duplicates] but ultimately this is a recurring issue. I've experienced this in BOTH projects that were converted to Productions, and projects that originated as Productions, following all best practices for creating a Production a
Hello! I encounter a really annoying problem which appeared out of nowhere. Specs: Processor --> Intel(R) Core(TM) i7-7700HQ CPU @ 2.80GHz 2.80 GHzInstalled RAM --> 16.0 GB (15.9 GB usable)System type --> 64-bit operating system, x64-based processorWindows 10 Home Specific problem: - I have Premiere Pro 2023 and Premiere Pro 2024 both installed. For some reason, the audio playback stopped working on Premiere Pro 2023, but it works on Premiere Pro 2024. They have the exact same settings in Audio Hardware. I checked Audio Track Mixer and Audio Clip Mixer, everything is alright. Layers are not muted and actually all the settings are the same as in previous days. But for some reason only Premiere Pro 2023 sound doesn't work. Anything outside of Premiere Pro 2023 works, including Premiere Pro 2024, but I need to finish the project in 2023, not 2024 due to my client who insists working on 2023 version. I tried every
Captions and Text placement is impossible! Since the last update I'm not able to do anything text based in premiere. Imported PNGs are possible but no internal graphics. I've tested this intensively. Clip of me testing and showing
I am having an issue with several Adobe applications. I am using a work PC with company software. My PC had to be reloaded after the CrowdStrike issue. My Adobe Creative Suite is up to date and functions, but the programs (Premiere, After Effects and Media Encoder) will crash whenever I try to "save as" or import or replace footage. Basically anything that involves a pop-up window will cause the programs to crash. Photoshop functions fine.We have tried deleting all the programs and reinstalling but the problem persists and no one in our IT chain can solve it.Premiere Pro Version 25.5.0 (Build 57)Adobe After Effects 24.5.0 (Build 52)Adobe Media Encoder 24.5 (Build 50)Windows 10 Enterprise Version 22H2 Installed on 7-19-2024 OS build 19045.465164 GB RAM64-bit operating system, x64-based processorIntel Xeon W-2265 CPU @ 3.50GHz 3.50 GHz
when selecting portions of text i can select and deselct the color fill and it works accordingly, but when i try to add or remove drop shadow from a portion of text, it adds or removes all the shadow effect.
This problem has existed for many years, but it still hasn't been fixed. If I create a project not with 10-15 files, but if it's about a wedding or some corporate event, I have to import 200-300 files from each camera into the project, and that's when real problems with previewing in the Bin begin. It takes an incredibly long time, and all productivity is reduced to zero. And this doesn't depend on the equipment I'm working on, as it is far from being weak.My configuration:CPU: i9 13900kRAM: DDR5 6000Mhz - 64GBGRAPHIC CARD: RTX 4070Ti - 12GBAll files on SSD and NVMEI will attach a video so you can see how slowly the previews are generated in the Bin
I opened my project, which I've been working on for weeks, and 70% of my clips and audio are gone. The sequence presents itself in the same way but with giant gaps where the clips, graphics, effects, and audio should be. All the autosave shows the same gaps. I've never experienced this before. Can anyone help? I can't find anything online that matches my description.
I'm editing an intro for a short film and I want to export it to the filmmaker separately to get his approval, so I copied/pasted the video file into a new sequence. In the original edit, I had to ADD one audio track, so instead of the default A1-A3 tracks, there are four A1-A4. Here's where it gets weird. After I pasted into a nerw sequence and everything was there (including the fourth audio track) I played it back but A4 was silent. I hit mute off and on a few times, and no dice. I muted everything BUT A4 and still couldn't hear it. I've putzed around with a few things, and nothing is working. The way I created A4 was by dragging A3 down one row. That created A4. The way I created the new sequence was the typical way we all do: first I went to File-New-Sequence and pasted, had the issue, than did it again by using Command-N and selecting sequence. Any tips? Thanks!
When editing, the screen turns black and glitchy. Additionally, when creating proxies, they sometimes display as a green glitch. This makes editing impossible! Has anyone experienced a similar issue? Any solutions would be greatly appreciated.
Hey Peoples, Got a weird one here. Premiere seems to be creating a folder in the finder (next to the project) with the sequence name of any sequence I open in Premiere, whenever I open a sequence. If I go to export a sequence in Premiere, it initially wants to export to the corresponding folder that was automatically created. Other than that I have no other performance issues, this is just annoying more than anything. I've tried rebooting. I haven't tossed the preferences yet because I kinda want to avoid it if I can. Has anyone else come across this issue? I'm working in production workflow in Premiere 24.3.0 on a Mac Studio M1 Ultra. with 128 gigs of ram Mac os 13.6.1 Ventura Thanks from your friendly neighborhood editor,Jake B
When transcribing videos in multiple languages (let's say project 1 is english, project 2 is spanish), and then getting premiere pro to create captions for either or, within the same session, leads to a hard crash, every single time. Please fix. Thank you.
Issue - When using 'Enchance Speech' in the Essential Sounds tab, the audio is duplicated, it sounds like its playing the enchanced audio and the original audio at the same time. It's been happening for quite a while, today I invesigated and realise it happens when Proxies are turned on, turn them off and Premiere plays the enhanced audio only. It's not the worst thing in the world but frustrating anyway. Only one audio track is on the timeline when this happens.Adobe Premiere Pro version number: Version 24.3.0 (Build 59)Operating system - MacOS - 14.5System Info: CPU, GPU, RAM, HD: Retina 5K, 27-inch, 20193.7GHz 6-core Intel Core i5Radeon Pro 580X 8 GB64 GB 2667 MHz DDR4Macintosh HD - Media on External 5TB HDD over USB3.0Video format:Type: MPEG MovieFile Size: 320.13 MBImage Size: 3840 x 2160Frame Rate: 50.00Source Audio Format: 48000 Hz - 16-bit - StereoProject Audio Format: 48000 Hz - 32 bit floating point - StereoTotal Duration: 00:00:12:24Pixel Aspect Ratio: 1.0Alpha: No
Weird bug, but I've noticed that when exporting a timeline with proxies present AND I have anything copied to the clipboard via command C (usually timecode) the below button becomes unclickable, and I have to force quit premiere. Premiere 24.3.0 MacOS Ventura 13.6.1iMac Pro 1,1 (2017)
Scene Edit Detection has stopped working on clips with no audio / audio unlinked. See attached video for steps to reproduce:I duplicate the clip in the timeline. Remove the audio from duplicate on the right. The copy of the clip on left with audio detects the scene edits and cuts perfectly. The copy of the clip on the right with audio unlinked doesn't make any cuts. Thanks!James
As of the update to latest today the save file doesnt include warp stabilizer so I just lost hours of it analyzing. It also didnt load any previous stabilization from the past saved files so any stabilizing I have done is no longer there and a stupid blue bar is telling me to stabilize again which is days if not weeks worth of computational time.
After using mogrt assets regularly for a year, they are suddenly causing Premiere to crash instantly. I've been troubleshooting for two days, including rendering the video from one project and opening it up in a new project (in case the original project was corrupted), but with the same results once I add a MOGRT.
If you have a caption graphic, and you duplicate it (using the alt + click to drag), or simply slice of a bit, to create a new one, and you do this several times (perhaps 5+ times), Premiere pro starts to lag considerably. The only way to overcome this, is to create new caption every time, instead of simply duplicating. I'm guessing some kind of memory cache is being flooded with previous + new data, multiplied by every time you duplicate the caption. Please fix. thank you.
My laptop is very tired when editing a movie with Software Only, so I use GPU Acceleration (CUDA) when editing. Then it works much better. There are differences, however: all options regarding subtitles; stroke, background and shadow are much less saturated. However, this is the smallest problem. The biggest problem for me is that all graphics with the Transform effect applied to them are buggy. They move strangely diagonally and many others. Similarly, transitions in Premiere Composer by Mister Horse look a bit different. They have a small black bar on the left side. The editing itself with the above-mentioned problems is not that bad. The worst thing is, however, that just before exporting my video I am forced to change it to Software Only so that the video looks good. The consequence of this is that my short 20-second movie in 1080x1920 in 30 FPS exports for 10 minutes. Has anyone had a similar problem? Thanks in advance for your help.
Running Pr 2024 24.3.0 on a Macbook Pro M1 Max 64GB RAM Sononma 14.4.1 When working on a project, Pr just keeps taking RAM up over 100GB as shown on the activity monitor, until the app freezes up. I reinstalled it. Cleared media cache. It just keeps eating the RAM. Even if I'm not actively editing. What the heck is going on with it??
There is a lag in the timeline playback cursor. Earlier it was working fine, I even tried reinstalling the Premier Pro but the problem is not going away. I have even deleted all the cache files as well.
