Hi Adobe team,Could you please provide more information on how the MaxContentLightLevel is set when creating an AVIF file from Camera Raw (HDR workflow)?I've noticed some unusual values, which are causing different behavior in other viewers, such as Chrome. My settings are set to ITU-R BT.2408 (203/1000 nits). I'm using the Windows version of Adobe Camera Raw with the latest update. Thanks a lot,Jerome M
Hi, Is there a way to permanently turn down the opacity to 0 Sharpening under the Details tab in Camera Raw 16.2? It reverts to 24 on every image and it would be one less step to have it remain at 0 for my purposes. Thank you.
Hi, My normal workflow is i have a number of layers and layer masks, working with all the basic stuff. Then i usually copy all layers flatten them to make a smart object layer above all. Open that layer in Camera Raw to make the last finish (color, contrast and grain). Sometimes I want to make an adjustment to one of the layers below and have to redo the camera raw smart object-layer. Is there any way I can make that layer "live" So I still can make adjustments below and the smart layer just make the color/contrast adjustments? I've tried making the camera raw layer 50% grey but that doesn't look right.
Nivida GeForce MX 230 is supported by PS 25.0 and has been supported for years in PS. However, ACR does not see this GPU. This has been a problem since at least version ARC 14.5. I have been struggling with this issue since December 2023. I have created at least four trouble tickets. I always end up with the same work around. "Roll back to ACR version 14.5," which does not require GPU acceleration. It does not fix the problem. PS sees and uses my GPU fine, but ACR not only does not see my GPU it grays out the option of picking a GPU. This very frustrating as I pay monthly for the latest Adobe software, however I am stuck using ACR 14.5 when ACR 16.2 is out. Also frustrating because ACR is my preferred Raw processor. Much of the last three months I have used no Raw processor or Light Room Classic. This is also frustrating because there is no "Light Room as filter option". In addition I hate LR and am barely competent at using it. I have considered switching to O
Hi Everyone, Recently, when I edit a ( 32.8 MB ) .NEF file in camera raw and then open as smart object in photoshop the file size is very small. Working on iMac, Somoma 14.2.1. Everything updated.original file is 8256 x 5504 and when opened as smart object in PS it's 1080 x 720.It's only happened in the last week.I have no idea what I've done to cause this. Can anyone help please? Many thanksChristine
I edited some pics in Photoshop, camera raw filter, and saved that preset to my computer. Then used those settings several days without any trouble. Today I tried using it and it says "Unable to load the raw conversion settings" "There were no Camera Raw settings in the selected ".xmp" metadata file." Why could this be happening? Has my saved filter broken? How can I fix it?
Hello! After I edit images in camera raw then hit the open button on the bottom right it closes camera raw and goes back to bridge but does not open my images in photoshop. I have uninstalled photoshop, bridge, and camera raw and they still will not open. I tried googling and asking in the chat and cannot find an answer. Anyone have a suggestion? Thanks!
This weekend I rented a Canon 5D Mark iii. I have downloaded the files and all of the thumbnails in camera raw say CR2 and when I try to open Photoshop does not recognize this product. I have:Photoshop CS4Camera Raw CS4Canon 5D Mark iiI have checked my updates folder and all my updates are current. Do I need to upgrade to CS5 or is there a way around this?
Hello, I have to convert all my RAW files to DNG for camera raw compatablility. After that, I want to save all my DNG files to TIFF after processing them in camera raw. When doing so, can I go back in camera raw and edit the TIFF files just as much as I could if they were still DNG files? I understand I will have already assigned a color space to my TIFF files. In the end, I will delete all my RAW/DNG files and have just my uncompressed TIFF files.
Hi, I've been experimenting with a few different custom crop ratios in Camera Raw. I've settled on the ones I like but now have a few unwanted ones I'd like to remove. Does anyone know how to edit or clear them, please?
Hello everyone,I've accidentally deleted a preset set instead of one single preset, this Set is the Favorites set and it had 20 of my presets that i use a lot. Is there something to do now? I've tried immediately terminating Photoshop via Task Manager but it saved it and it's still the same. Edit: you can backup the files manually at:C:\ProgramData\Adobe\CameraRaw\Settings\Adobe\Presets (i still need help with my lost presets)
[This post contains formatting and embedded images that don't appear in email. View the post in your Web browser.] I narrowed down the cause: The photo's ICC profile (which defines how to interpret the color numbers in the file, like sRGB or Adobe RGB) is "Apple Wide Color Sharing Profile". I had recently seen LR and Photoshop trip over IOS photos with that profile, and I hadn't seen that profile before, so this time I did some research. As a workaround, export IOS photos from Photos.app using Color Profile: Display P3 rather than Most Compatible, which will avoid the use of Apple Wide Color Sharing Profile. GORY DETAILS Apple devices by default record camera images in the "wide" Display P3 color space and set their ICC profiles to "Display P3". But when Apple software "shares" those photos, it will sometimes convert the image content to be approximately sRGB (the most widely compatible color space but with the smallest gamut of colors) and record additional inform
I raised this on LR Classic forum, trying here as some suggested similar issues have been rsolved here.Windows 10 and LR Lightroom version: 6.14 [ 1149743 ] If I go to a Windows 10 folder - all of the jpeg files with have a thumbnail (as do png, tiff etc)Very few DNG files will have a thumbnail (usually none)I have installed Microsoft raw image Extension .... v3 no differenceHave followed the steps to kill thumbnail cache, delete it, and restart explorer ... all jpeg thumbnails rebuild (slowly) but not DNG.Have also followed the tip to uncheck 'always shows icons, never thumbnails'T in folder prefernces. I have found an intesreting anomaly ...My phone creates DNG files directly .. my camera has to have the raw files converted and I use ADOBE DNG converter to do that.A test showed something I had not realised before.Files saved to Desktop ..... the native DNG has the correct thumbnail, the converted file doesn't, but if I double click on it, a
I have an older version, elements 2020, and it does not process my new canon R6 CR3 files. Is there a version of elements that will do this? Does traditional Photoshop or Lightroom do this? If I need to switch programs, I am willing, but I really just want a streamlined way, like I've gotten used to. I have always enjoyed just purchasing elements and not paying a monthly fee. Anyone have any great suggestions? Thank you in advance!
I'm looking to evaluate Adobe Camera Raw's demosaicking with other demosaickers on some DNG files. This is being complicated by ACR apparently applying some Color Correction and tone mapping. How do I either disable these altogether or make it apply a known CCM (say one of the two contained in the DNG) and known tone map (say the sRGB tone map or just a gamma correction)?I've already disabled everything else I can see: sharpening, denoising. I've set it to use the Adobe Neutral profile as it seems to apply the gentlest CCM and tone map. Do I need to make a custom profile? I tried doing that but was unable to get the results desired.
Windows 10 Pro, 64bitCamera Raw 9.8Bridge CC 2017 7.0.0.93 x64Photoshop CC 2017.0.1 20161130.r.29Use GPU is checked, with AMD HD7870Experiencing an issue where occasionally when opening multiple files into ACR from Bridge, White Balance tool acts like a zoom tool and does not function properly. Upon selecting the white balance tool, cursor turns into eyedropper icon as expected. When clicking, cursor changes to zoom rectangle and zooms in 100%. Upon mouse release, zoom returns to fit screen. Can't tell if I'm hitting some weird shortcut or if this is an actual bug? Either way, it's very frustrating. I left Bridge open the last time it happened (after hitting cancel in ACR), and when I tried opening the files again in ACR 10 minutes later it was working normally again. I have no idea how to reproduce this problem.Things I've tried:- Closing and reopening- Resetting preferences when reopening- Restarting computer- Closing/Opening Photoshop
Updated Camera Raw to version 16.2 this morning. Unfortunately my Photoshop crashes every time I use Camera Raw now. Never had any problems with Camera Raw...until now. I use Windows 11. Is it possible to go back to the previous version of Camera Raw?
Is there any way to toggle/hide these bottom elements in ACR? I'm looking for any extra room when working on a laptop and when masking, these areas take up space and I never refer to them. Especially the bottom area with the color space, ppi etc. A big waste of screen real estate for a line of text!
Hi everyone, I've scoured everywhere for an answer and seem to be getting nowhere. I'm just wondering if anyone knows (in easy to follow steps) how to sync RAW files in Cloud to use on desktop and mobile? I am mainly editing on my laptop but would prefer to edit on my phone when I'm not with my laptop. Does anyone know how to do this? I don't use the classic lightroom and when I try to upload the raw files to adobe cloud- it says file type not supported. Many thanks,K
I'm sure this has been adressed elsewhere already but I could not find any working solution on appropraite discussions so please bear with me. When I open ACR from within PS on a particular layer, do my edits, close ACR and reopen the very same layer in ACR (still from within PS, of course), the edits are still intact but all the sliders have been reset to default (i.e. now way for me to readjust previous settings). Any idea how to fix thius or is this supposed to be standard? Thanks and best Peter
photoshop keeps crashing when using camera raw. how can i delete camera raw from preferences
Hi All, seem to be in a bad run of luck with my set up this week! I'm getting inconsistent colours from ACR, higher saturation than in Bridge previews, photoshop and Lightroom. Bridge, PS and Lightroom all look the same, if there are any differences between those three they are subtle enough that I've not spotted them.Last time I had a similar issue to this it was a monitor calibration issue. I've re-calibrated, set to defaults, removed old profiles, but still encounter this issue.I didn't change anything in PS prior to discovering this, other than GPU performance settings as I've encountered a crash issue there also. Not sure if these are related. usually, the most obvious difference to spot is on the legs, where the saturation is already very high. hopefully the included screen captures show the issue. I've tried my best to keep the images the same size to avoid any other colour shifts. I typically do all my colour and tone work in ACR so other than moving o
can't find subject selection on the updated camera raw 16.1.1
