Captivate

I have the glossary widget working for a project. I can click the words in the glossary and scroll up and down but when I clickt o jump to a letter it moves the widget and covers my exit button. Any help on fixing this?

I have been working on a project to make multiple interactive videos in Captivate and am about halfway through. A couple weeks ago, I tried to watch a published video and it wouldn't open. Then, I tried opening previous Captivate videos that I had viewed before and they no longer worked. I tried extracting & opening with file explorer,   and I tried opening straight out of winrar.   The errors I received are above. I also believe something changed in the published folder for the videos, but I haven't touched them since completing them. I've attached what the published folder currently looks like, as well. I had to reinstall Captivate a while ago, but it functions normally for making content. Something seems to be wrong with either the publishing or extraction, but I'm not sure what. Any help is greatly appreciated.

Hi,I've created a project which displays absolutely fine on my own screens within Captivate Prime but for a colleague it displays too large and she has to scroll down the screen to see the bottom of the slides - is there some setting that I can switch on that means the slides display correctly according to the size of the learner's screen, including on the mobile app?

Here is a branching scenario that I have been tasked with building out in Captivate. I haven't been able to find any instruction on how to create a quiz in this flowchart style, where the user chooses a response and that choice dictates where they go next in the dialogue/quiz. Is something like this even possible? I found these examples that I believe were created using Storyline. So it seems that the concept has been done before. Does anyone have any recommendations on how to achieve this in Captivate? Thanks in advance!Kat V

Hey everyone.  I've run into a very weird issue with Adobe Captivate in terms of videos  and their reactions when loaded onto the LMS.   The videos are always loaded as an event video to allow the learner to have the option to fast forward and pause the video.  However, recently I've noticed that when I preview the course I've created in HTML or in the LMS itself, when I pause the video at any point, the video will skip to the end.   Now sometimes after I refresh the page, the video will work as intended, but it's not an ideal situation.  We do have advanced actions in place for each respective video, but I have also tried to run the video without any advanced actions and still got the same result. I am curious if anyone on these forums has run into issues with Captivate and videos (specifically this situation) and what they have done to correct it.  I've checked all of my basic settings and havent found anything that would co

Hi All,Is it possible for drag and drop quiz results data to include the name of the objects rather than just numbers like 0,1 etc?  When I view the results data in SCORM cloud it is clear if the user got the question correct or incorrect but not enough detail is given as to the actual answer selected. Thanks   

Hello, I am recording video demos in Captivate 2019 and every video I record, after about 30 seconds into the video, it lags and my video and voice are off significantly. Any idea what is causing this? Recording issue? Audio issue? Bandwidth?  Any help would be appreciated. Thanks,Zach

I'm writing a project with a lot of advanced actions and suddenly my code is not being displayed in the Advanced Actions window. Not all my advanced actions do this. It particularly focused on 1. Advanced Action on Slide Enter. 2. A button that I've assigned another Advanced Action. I've cleared my cache, I've restarted the computer. I've opened the file on different computers.  I can't seem to find the solution anywhere. Does anyone know if it is a bug? Or that I have too many Advanced Actions? Thanks in advance, 

Hi,I have a slide in which there is two buttons (it has to be button, i can do it through quiz) marked in Reporting section as inclouded to the quiz for 1 point each. Both are correct answers.The user can click in either button, it takes him to the next slide and i want it to count it as 1 point. The problem I have is that maximum score is 10, and if user clicks all test correctly is still 90% good because on this problematic slide he clicked one button. I tried to name it as the same ID, doesnt work. I think maybe i should use some advanced action but it should probably involve some command in java to set second button quiz value to -1. I'm not using the quiz slide, so i cant add negative points.. Hmm.Dou You have maybe some ideas how can i fix this? I'll be grateful for help. 

Hi Everyone,I need to create an elearning tutorial on how to use software on an Android tablet.  It is not Android 11 so I cannot use the onboard recorder.  Does Captivate allow connection to an Android to capture gestures?  Or is there another workaround within Adobe Captivate?

After imported the ppt file to captivate 2019, I tried to link the same ppt through presentation mode. And, published the files into html/swf  to view those content in scrom. However, texts (French) are not showing on the output. Plaese guide. 

Hi...when I am opening an SVG file that I downloaded from somewhere, it is not showing me anything on screen in Illustrator. I have the latest cloud version. I can see that the drawing is there in the layers but its on visible on the artboard. Does anyone has any solution for this?

I've been looking for a program for a long time that allows me, without having to add code (since I don't know), to create my menus of all my videos recorded on my hard drive, but it couldn't be. I'm a big fan of Adobe (actually I have a subscription with them), but I had never heard of this program, which I came across by chance, so I downloaded it so I could try it out. At first I was scared, then I was excited because I was getting what I wanted, after several days, before exhausting the test, I see with amazement that no publication works (especially an executable, my greatest aspiration), because they are executable for private use , and I want each executable in its corresponding folder. But not only that, I have found other faults that mentioning them here would occupy me a whole day... I rescued an old program called Autoplay Media Studio, but it is not as easy as Captivate, because it requires a lot of code, although it does allow me to create executables. A co-worker is I am trying to use Captivate 2019 (release 11.0.1.266) to open a Captivate 2019 project created with release 11.5.1.499. She gets this error: I think that as policy Adobe will not let you use an older release to open a project created/modified on a newer release (i.e., no backward compatibility). Why would the trial release no be the latest release? How do I correct this? 

Hi everytime I load in a Captivate project or staart a new one the Stage is apearing off the viewable area, if I reposition the stage inside the viewable area, as soon as I click on an item the stage dissapears again ?I'm running captivatr on the latest version of Mac iOS

Scenario: Capt 2017, publishing as HTML5 (damn), trying to set a default file name when publishing to computer.I have inherited about 70 Captivate files which I hand off to the client, who does all the LMS/Scorm stuff.  This issue is upstream, before I hand off the files.(I've been building and revising these course for almost a decade.  I'm a gov't contractor and frankly I'm not even sure my courses are even being used, as I have gotten no feedback from client or end users in all this time - aggravating and a waste of tax dollars.) So these courses were originally developed by some other company.  They used file names for the courses replete with bad karma, complete with periods, parenthesis, numbers, spaces, and more in filenames approaching 50 characters, etc.  I decided to rename each course with only lower case letters and underscores, limiting the length to no more than about a dozen characters tops.  I am of course able to save the courses with

Gentlefolk,Captivate 2019 I have an introductory slide that has two buttons. One button when clicked allows the project to continue. The other button downloads a Learner's Guide file to the user, then allows the project to proceed. The download button includes an Advanced Action that specifies that a NEW browser window be opened for the file download, with the course proceeding in the original window. Functionally, this is working correctly. BUT, the download window (as tested in Scormcloud) appears over the course window, so it appears that the course has stopped.  Is there a better way to handle this optional download scenario? One thought I had was to have the download window in a smaller size so it would not totally obscure the content window. But I see no option within an Advanced Action that allows for this specificity when using the "Open URL or File" action.  Thank you for any thoughts. Don

I recently upgraded my 13 inch MacBook Pro from a late 2015 model to the 2020 MacBook Pro with the M1 Chip.  Both are Retine models.  When using the previous MacBook Pro, all of my projects opened and previewed properly.  When I open or create a new project on the new MacBook Pro, the preview of each slide is very, very small.  In fact, I have to zoom out to find the preview, then scroll to fit the timy preview into the display.  I have tried to rescale the Project but that does not work.  I start by creating a PowerPoint file then Import that into Captivate.  What am I missing here or what do I need to do in oder to get the proper slide preview?  See attached.Thanks, Roy

Hello, I have already asked this before and I have consulted the commented articles, but I cannot find the quick solution. The problem is the following: I have some old captivate courses that I have to update, but when I open them on my pc they update and I lose the fonts used (open sans), and when I publish it, it appears in times new roman. What I have understood is that by not using a secure web font and not being able to recover the original style with which it was created, will I have to change the text of each slide one by one? Or is there a faster option to recover that source or apply another to the entire course?Thanks.
