Captivate

I'm using the embed code that Vimeo gave me for embedding. I have the 'full screen' option turned on in Vimeo and the icon shows up in the player. If I play the video from the Vimeo website it will go fullscreen, but when I try to make it full screen from within the published Captivate project it doesn't do anything.I've tried the embed code with both the default '... webkitallowfullscreen mozallowfullscreen allowfullscreen> ' and just with the single 'allowfullscreen'. Neither makes it go full screen. Any ideas?I'm using Captivate 8.0.1

Greetings all!I have a course owner who wants to allow a student to take the final exam twice and if failed, retake the entire course again, including 2 more times at the final exam. I know I can not change the read-only system quiz variables so that option is out. There must be a JavaScript approach that I can use in an Advance Action script to reset everything as if a first time at the course, but am a developer, not a programmer. Any assistance would be greatly appreciated.Unfortunately, because of the sensitive nature of the content I am unable to share the Captivate file.THANKS and cheers,Russ

Anyone else struggling to open older projects (like from 12.4) after upgrading to Captivate 12.6?Has anyone found a smoother way to handle this without losing work?Backward compatibility really needs some attention from Adobe.

Anyone having trouble with widget visibility in the new Captivate, especially in scrolling layouts?Has anyone found a reliable workaround for this?

Anyone else running into content block errors after upgrading to version 12.6? Curious if others have experienced the same—any insights or workarounds?

I'm using 12.6.0.63 and the playbar is switched off within my project - which has been published and loaded to my LMS.Upon testing - I have no playbar on desktop - as designedOn Tablet I have a playbar intermittently throughout the slides that comes and goes. The learners need to complete all slides and listen to the audio content before proceeding to the next slide - hence my own custom navigation. Unfortunately much as the custom navigation works well - it's over-ridden by the playbar. Help!!!!!

How can I create keyboard shortcut interactions in my project using Captivate 12?

Hi, I have a software simultation with a full motion recording slide part way through. I want to add multiple instruction boxes during the FMR playback, but with only one visible at any time. It all works fine when editing, but when I publish the HTML 5, the playback of the FMR stops when the first instruction box disappears. The other instruction boxes appear on cue and the next slide appears when expected.It seems to work fine if I leave the first instruction box on screen for the full duration of the slide. I can bring other boxes on and off screen in that case.I'm on Captivate v 12.6.0.63Thanks Derek

I have 5-6 lessons in one course. Each lesson contains 1 quizz. Can I integrate the scenario in Adobe Captivate? 

I created a blank slide.Added a slide video media block with a link to a public YouTube videoAdded an Interactive component/buttonLabeled the button Next, and set interaction on Click/Tap Go to Next Slide (yes there is a next slide). I want this button to be hidden until after the video finishes. I have tried doing this two different ways and am experiencing the same intermittent problem both ways. I tested it myself and it worked, published it to ScormCloud and it worked, I published it to my LMS (Absorb) and it worked, rolled it out to everyone and 10-20 % of my users are experiencing a problem. When the video completes, the Next button appears as it should, but when you click it, nothing happens. I have had some users back up and reload the video and it works the second time, others that doesn't work. The two ways I've tried, are:1. In the timeline, just drag the button block to the right so that it doesn't appear until 5 seconds before the end of the slide.2. In the butto

I'm many hours deep on creating a project in Captivate. When I add a click-to-reveal widget to a slide and click in to customize colors and icons, the app crashes. Then it corrupts the file. I managed to restore a previous version and Save As, but each time I get to the point of adding that widget, the same message, "an unexpected error has occurred, which may cause captivate to behave unexpectedly." An older discussion post pointed to issues when customizing states, but I haven't done that. I cleared cache, reset preferences, to no avail. I am operating on Mac OS, using Captivate 12.6.0.63. Can someone please advise? 

Ive been having an issue when i copy and past slides from another project into another for example the assesment slides with the click box and type options and the header colours change. It falls out of line and i have to re configure and move them into position. Can anyone help?    

Hello Captivate Community, I just updated to v12.6 and when trying to launch the AI Voices I am getting an error. Shows "It appears there is a problem with loading the voice".  If I retry it doesn't bring them up. My internet connection is active and working, I have tested and verified that. Any thoughts or advice on what could be causing this?Thanks,Matt

I have created question pools and added the correct amount of random question slides to my main project and have now published. The user will have three attempts to pass this quiz. It seems that if the user fails the quiz the first time and retakes the quiz again, the SAME questions in the SAME order are appearing again. My question is, Is there a way to ensure that on subsequent attempts, the user is seeing a different set of questions on retake? I am using 11.5 captivate 2019 version.

Hi, I am facing issues that my LMS does not mark the e-learning courses as "Done" after exiting the course.I never experienced this until now, after I inserted a few question slides (multiple choices and true/false/yes/no) into a course. So, i suspect it has something to do with the quiz settings.My idea was to let the learner listen to different audio scenarios (blank custom slide), each followed by a question slide (audio -question-audio-question etc). Graded, since Survey and Pretest were not really what I needed.No matter if the learners answered all correct or all incorrect, they would still be marked as "Done" after shutting down the course window. BUT, the learning portal says "Continue", which means the course is incomplete in some way but I can't figure out how. I didn't want the quiz result slide either but I forgot to uncheck that box before inserting question slides. In addition, I re-made that slide by inserting my own button and deleted the"Continue"-button and everything

Hi,I did this for some of the hotspots but not all. I am wondering where the option is located in this latest version (12.3) to choose "hover" over "click"? Again, I found it a few days ago but now I cannot see where I made the change. Thanks in advance for your help. I did try searching and found nothing that matches this latest version. Best,Amy

I am creating a quiz in Adobe Captivate 10 and I require a 100% score to pass. On the quiz results screen I want to create an option for the user to only retake incorrect questions (as opposed to retaking the whole quiz). How do I accomplish this?

I upgraded to 12.6 last week when I was in the middle of creating a module that is basically a respository or toolkit for a number of PDFs that I cannot host elsewhere. It seems the in the update, the ability to print or download the PDF from the iFrame no longer exists. I'm hoping that I am able to use the button in the webobject block to open the PDF in the iFrame in a new window. haven't been able to figure out how to make that happen. The button wants to be configured to access a URL or a PDF hosted somewhere. Maybe I should be doing this another way? Any ideas out there? 

I added Exported scorm 1.2 file to MasterControl Training course. The video plays fine.  When closing the video skin bottom x or top right x the tab closes.  I have a service ticket open with the MasterControl support but I'm wondering if its an issue with the Capitvate skin.  I usually count to ten before closing the video in ase extra seconds of unseen play is involved.  Any advice why the browser tab crashes. 

When I click New Project, Captivate displays the following error messages: Failed to create Cache folder: Falling back to the default locationCaptivate CacheFollowed by: Failed to create default project caceh folder: falling back to %temp% Yes, I noted the typos 🙄 Clicking either [Retry] or [Cancel] has no effect. Thinking Captivate is trying to create a cache in a non-exsistent location (I neither have a second physical drive lettered D nor a network drive mapped to D), according to the title bars in the dailog boxes:D:\workspace\release\dev\source\components\projectnslides\CPint... I tried to open the Preferences menu from Edit. Except, as soon as I did that, this error message appears: An unexpected error has occurred, which may cause Captivate to behave unexpectedly. You can restart Captivate with backed-up project.  As soon as I click [OK], the Error Report for "Adobe Captivate" dialog appear and Captivate crashes back to t

Hi all, I am fairly new to captivate classic and need some guidance. I need to add a button to the quiz results slide, that should be hidden unless the user fails the quiz twice. The button then needs to be able to reset the quiz score to be redone and take them back to the beginning of the entire course... does that make sense? In summary:- hidden button until quiz is failed twice- resets quiz score and takes user to beginning of course (not just quiz) I would be grateful for any assistance if this is possible?? I have tried, but have had no success as of yet

I completed a project and when I try to preview it, it shows a blank webpage. I tried to preview other projects and they load fine. I tried to clear the cache and it made no different. Publish settings are correct. Not sure what the issue is.  This is the URL when I try to preview. Hello,  I am working with trial version of Adobe Captivate to test out if the software will work for my company. I am unable to upload premade content to the platform and wondering if its because I am in a trial version or if the platform does not support that option. Example the content is in a powerpoint and I have converted it everyway I can to see if I can upload it.  My trial version IMPORT function only gives me 2 options. Import CSVProject content and closed captionsCustom design options.  Please advise anything helps! We would love to be able to use this platform
