Captivate

Hi.  I am relatively new to Captivate.  I am on Captivate 2019 11.5.5.553.   I have a few knowledge check questions in my course.  I also have a quiz at the end which gives the user 3 attempts to correctly complete.  If they fail all attempts, it takes them to a slide that says they failed and displays a button to retake the course.  The button has an advanced action that takes them back to slide one and uses javascript to reset the quiz data.  This part works fine.   The problem comes in when they start retaking the course and come to the slide before the first hot spot knowledge check slide.  This slide has a next button set to go to the next slide.   Only, it doesn't advance to the next hot spot knowledge check slide, no matter how many times you click the button.   Through various tests, I have deducted that it is a problem with the hot spot slide.   Has anyone had this problem and successfully bee

Hi,Trying to play and view SCORM compatible files exported from Adobe Captivate 8 and 9 in Success Factors LMS.I get the message - 'ERROR – unable to acquire LMS API, content may not play properly and results may not be recorded. Please contact technical support’ I have tried SCORM versions 1.2 v3 and 2004 V2 and V4.  We can view the content, however it does not track, show as complete etc.We are just in the process of implementing Success Factors and are a bit stumped.... Anyone experienced this problem before? Or know of a fix?Many thanks

Hi there,  My team is looking into purchasing more Captivate licenses. Will multiple staff with licenses be able to work on the same project? For example, is there shared space to store shared projects and have multiple staff edit them? Thanks, Kelly 

When I add a slide to my project, is there a way to add it to the TOC without resetting my TOC? I have an extensive TOC and resetting is quite cumbersome.I am using Captivate 19 on a PC running Windows 10

Hello AllI need to modify the text color used for Quiz Review on the Short Answer question type. I hope someone can help me. 1. The words "correct answer" should be another color. 2. The responses should be another color. Is it possible to modify the text color for Quiz Review?  

Hello. I am having problems with a Captivate file. When I preview the project locally, everything shows up fine. However, after I publish and upload it to my webserver, I experience problems. The problem happens on 3/35 slides. On those three slides, the timeline pauses (I see the Play button change) but the imported audio continues to play. However, none of the objects later on the timeline show up. The issue happens on only those three slides, despite other slides having the same components. I can manually click play again and the objects eventually appear, but always out of sync with the narration. I've tested and this issue happens in Edge, Chrome, and Firefox. Others have experienced this problem, too, on different computers. The problem also happens irregularly: it will occasionally work as expected, but then pause the next 10 times and never play normally again. I'm stuck and would appreciate any help. That subject link says it all. Do you USE THEM or NOT? I tried a few and each time it caused weird and strange things to happen, nothing that had anything to do with a slide's transition. Could this be a leftover of SWF? And that's why they aren't working as advertised when you Preview in HTML5 Browser? Thanks! 

So I have a course that is made up of 5 modules (multi-sco course that is packaged using the Multi-SCORM Packager). Each module has a quiz of 5 questions that is completely independent of the other modules. The user is able to complete any module in any order. After completing all 5 modules, I would like to have some slides describing to the user their next steps. How do I go about doing this?  My first thought was to have a conditional statement such that if quiz is complete for each module, show slides. Do variables pass from one module to another? Is this a viable solution or is there an easier built-in solution?

I have 90 bookmarks on a video and I'd like to duplicate that slide the video resides on. Then, I'd like to replace that duplicate slide with another video, preserving the bookmarks. The second version video is very similar to the first, so that's why I thought this best. But, when I duplicate the slide, try to import another version of the video and keep the same bookmarks throughout, the original then is changed as well. I cannot seem to find a way to have 2 versions of the same bookmarks in two different videos. I do not think I can copy bookmarks from one video to another. Any ideas? Suggestions? Greatly appreciated. 

Captivate 9 with all updates.Strange finding here. I have a custom nav bar I made. Three buttons with a gray background which is an SVG. The gray background is the object causing a problem. The background does a quick, what appears to be, fade in on each slide. There is no fade on this object. There is no effect turned or applied on this object. However, the gray bg svg object does display an inactive "Effect Duration" for .1 seconds. This is the only thing I can think of that is causing the problem. Since it is inactive, I cannot change it to '0'.Any advice?

We have completed a fairly straightfoward e-learning module, but having real problems with how it interacts in the World Manager LMS system.Is there anyone who has succesfully been uploading Scorm Files to the system.Not sure if it is our settings or a platform setting. Any feedback will be welcome Warm Regards,Shona

Hi.. when i try to publish my course in captivate it is didn't published..it will stop at 63 percent and automatically closing the captivate.. what is the issue please tell me Thank you

I've played with a Text Entry Box and HTML5 Output to Browser with [ ] Retain text checked, and then with it unchecked. I can't see the difference. The only thing I can find in helpx.adobe.com is https://helpx.adobe.com/captivate/using/text-entry-boxes.html , and it only says to check it. Nothing about its purpose.  Thanks yous

When I test for devices with thinner widths, I don't know why these small images refuse to group in clusters of four (in the red and orange areas). I've tried just about everything.

I was an auditor for a company that had a need for training.  I took on the roll without any LMS experience.  I have learned Captivate with the help of the online community, mostly Paul Wilson (Your YouTube channel saved me a lot of frustration).  Fast forward a year and now I have complex interactions with audio and music.  I have one issue that I cannot resolve...and it drives me crazy. I need a way to pause the course regardless of the audio type.  My learners need to be able to pause since they are taking these courses during work.  These are desktop only courses and learner engagement is important to us, so I do not want to get rid of my interactions.  The audio is "Play Audio" in Advanced Actions.  I need the audio to pause with the course and resume when unpaused.  I am willing to build buttons or use java script; however, I would need someone to give me the script as I have no idea how to write script just used it here and there

Good day everyone,Our Scorm file has been uploaded to an LMS platform ( World Manager)The file works well, however the opening page is blank white with play arrow.Only once this is clicked does our project opening page appear. Is there a setting that could correct this to open on our first page? Many thanksShona

Hi, i am wondering that is any method can create the interactive video with interactive report in moodle? I am tried created and uploaded the interactive with KC slide and SCORM 1.2 in moodle. But the interactive report doesn't work. May i know do you have any idea? Thanks,Benson

Tengo una duda colegas al publicar mi SCORM y abrirlo en el navegador este se escala perfectamente, pero se centra tanto vertical como horizontalmente, me gustaría que se escalara pero pegado al borde superior siempre, ya que si se monta así en espacios más pequeños aparecen espacios molestos arriba y abajo del mismo. Agradezco su ayuda gracias. I have a doubt colleagues when publishing my SCORM and opening it in the browser, it scales perfectly, but it is centered both vertically and horizontally, I would like it to scale but always glued to the upper edge, since if it is mounted like this in smaller spaces, spaces appear annoying up and down it. I appreciate your help thank you.
