Captivate

In Captvate 12.5, how do I place a PDF (as a web object) and a video wall (with 1 video selected), adjacent to each other, instead of being vertically aligned? At present, the slide looks like this:  

Hello. Is anyone else having this issue? I have played around with it so many times and when I think its fixed I have someone else test it and it is happening again. The scenario is as follows:  I have a input field for the end users to put in text and hit enter to move forward. I have disabled hint and correct answer pop-ups. When an end users clicks on the input field the failure pop-up triggers. It should only trigger if the end user inputs the wrong text. No click boxes on this screen either. Just the input field. At one point I was removing the input field, saving the simulation, clearing my cache, restarting, putting the input field back in (seems to save it as it was orginally added to the simulation even when i clear my cache) test it with successful results, saving it, testing again with successful results - giving it to someone else to test - and having the failure pop-up appear on the first click in the input field.  Its not an end all but it makes t

A little backstory here...I was using Captivate with no issues (so I thought) on my Mac. I discovered issues when I published my content and uploaded it to Adobe Learning Manager. After working with the support team, they realized that I had upgraded my Mac OS to Sonoma. I should have checked the Captivate system requirements before upgrading the OS, but I didn't. The Adobe Support Team informed me that I would need to downgrade my OS back to Ventura since Captivate was not yet supported on Sonoma and that would explain the issues with my published content. My other option was to switch to a Windows based PC. I chose option 2 and transferred all of my .cpt files to a Windows computer. I worked on the windows PC for about a month and decided that I would rather downgrade my Mac (I just prefer Macs--I know they aren't for everyone!) I got my Mac successfully downgraded back to Ventura and started the process of moving my .cpt files back to my Mac. Hello I have used the character and text box slide a few times in an emodule and it gives me the same default character of a woman everytime.  When i try and select a different character, I only ever have options of real looking people as opposed to a library of similar illustrated versions.  I like the default one it provides, but there doesn't appear to be ay options for having a similar style of illustrated character. Does anyone know if there are more options available? Thanks Sarah

what happens to the data if we do not subscribe to it a month- can the data be retained or it needs to be backed up?

I'm on Captivate 12.4, and when I try to use the share for review, I get an error saying "An error has occurred. Please try again." after clicking Create review. I've been trying since yesterday. Is there any way to fix this from my end?

Using Captivate 9Using a drag and drop interaction.Coming into a slide, I have audio playing. When I start the interaction, I have audio that is triggered in the drag and drop. How can I stop the main audio from playing once I have triggered the drag and drop audio?

Hi,  I have just installed Adobe Creative (paid version). The problem is that when I try to save any work, the system goes in circles for ages, not allowing me to save my project. I need to force quit Captivate, but when I try again the situation repeats itself. I have installed the update to my system and now I'm on use macOS Sequoia 15.3 but I'm still not able to save any project. I uninstalled and reinstalled Captivate but the problem didn't go away. Any ideas how I can save my work without this issue?  Any help will be appreciated. 

All thanks in advance for your help.My organization is attempting to transition our content away from storage on our LMS to storage on our own servers and using the LMS to launch and report. We are trying to publish in AICC. Almost everything works great, we can upload the course to our content server, we can upload the course using AICC, and we can launch the course from our LMS. When the course launches, we get the following error on both courses we have attempted this with: "ERROR - LMS did not return a valid status code. Press 'OK' to view debug information to send to technical support." When I click 'OK', I get a blank window with no HTML at all.We are using the Kenexa LMS and Captivate 8.Any help with this would be greatly appreciated.Jeremy

Hi all, Hi! I am trying to figure out a couple things and I'm not getting anywhere in or in community and web searches. I've wasted so much time I can't think straight and definitely thought this would be simpler. If anyone can help - I'd apprecaite it! 1 - How can I make it so that Closed Captions don't automatically display? If I have them, on their own or connected to generated text to voice, they appear by default and you need ot turn them off using the playbar. I'd like the opposite - for them not to appear and for learners to toggle them on using the playbar. I have them toggled on in the playbar settings and they're toggled on in project properties (if I turn this off, they don't appear but the CC button in the playbar is also not available). 2 - I want to inlcude the TOC so learners know what's ahead and what's behind them, and can revisit a specific slide if they so choose. BUT - I don't want to be able to see slide time because it's irrelevant in this course. I

Hi all,Can I shuffle the answer choices in Captivate 12.5 when the user re-enters the question slides? Additionally, I'm trying to program a gating system for the quiz where users have to pass all the questions on one level to enter the next level. I'd like the user to start over the quiz after failing each level twice. However, when I failed twice, I found that I could no longer answer the questions (the answer choices and submit button were disabled). Can anyone help me out?Thank you very much!

Hello I am trying to create a 'true' or 'false' quiz which isn't based on a right or wrong answer.  I want the particpants to answer true or false to a set of statements which then shows the results after. ie out of 10 statements, 6 were answered as true, 4 false. I will then have a text box that states ' if you answered true to 6 or more questions, this indicates a theme. Doesn't mean they are wrong, but raises awareness of where they are at. I think I have to do this as an interactive component as opposed to the true or false quiz template in order to avoid it being a right or wrong answer scenario.  Is that correct? Also, I have watched. a few tutotirals and can't find anythign specific about how i would set this up and how I could show the user what their score was after completing the quiz/assessment.   Any advice will be uch appreciated! 🙂 Thank you

How do I change the color of a link?  They always appear blue.  Selecting text color doesn't work.  I do not see anything for links in theme editor.

I use Photoshop daily, it's updated. I added text to an image and when I go to change the font, I highlight it like usual, then go to the font I want and it un-highlights and won't let me change it. I used it yesterday with no problems. I restarted the program, I use the Desktop version, twice and nothing. What should be a 5 minute project, has turned into two hours of frustration. Anyone else experiencing issues like this? I need to get a file out tonight and this just isn't cutting it. 

Is there any way that a project can look the same on a PC monitor screen (1920 X 1080 px) AND on a laptop screen? My project looks fine on a PC screen but then is too large on a laptop screen. Any help would be appreciated, couldn't find the solution online.

I am using Captivate 11.5.5.678 for Mac and am unable to upload PowerPoint files. When I try, it briefly (for a tantalizing second) shows me a beautiful uploaded version of the training, then goes into "converting" mode and throws up a window asking me if I want to convert the slides. At this point, it will not let me click "OK" or anything else, and essentially freezes up. I have tried multiple times and no luck. Please help.

I've finished my eLearning but always conduct a spellcheck before final publishing. Where is the spellcheck located in the new Captivate?

I need to enable Custom Fonts/Adobe Fonts within Captivate so that I can follow company branding guidlines within the courses I create. Through Adobe Chat, I was guided to this article. While I understand the instructions, I am unable to add myself as a Product Administrator. Additionally, Custom Fonts is not listed within the Products tab in the Adobe Admin Console. Please help! 

Hi allCan anyone tell me how to do a slide transition in Captivate Classic?In Capivate 2019 it was found on the slide timing tab. It isn't there anymore and I'm wondering if it has been removed. If so how do you fade a slide background out?Many thanks for any thoughtsM

Hi, I need urgent help. My project all of a sudden has stopped showing a preview every time I preview link opens but gives a blank screen same happening after publishing. Before the file was perfect the only thing I did was edit the theme. Please help me as I cannot create a new project at the moment as this project was already in review by my client and now this issue is occurring. Can the project be recovered? Thanks

When I preview from Captivate 12.2, it only loads an empty browser tab. I've tried with Chrome and with Edge. When I publish and launch, the same thing happens. Empty browser tab. Same behavior after I upload the published output to my web server. No error messages have been generated. This is a brand new install of Windows 11 and a brand new install of Captivate 12.2. Any ideas what might cause this?? This is my first project in the new Captivate, but I do know that I would at least get the "Preview" to load when I was playing around and getting to know the new product - on a completely different setup (Windows 10) and the earlier version of Captivate 12.  

Is it possible to edit a published HTML index file in Captivate? Do not have .CPT native files. Only have .html files. Thxs

Hi, my file has multiple quizzes in multiple selection. I set the settings so the user must pass to proceed with unlimited attempts. But my client does not want it this way. They want the user to attempt the quiz, whether correct or wrong, and move forward, and on reaching the result slide, if they have failed, they must attempt that quiz in order to complete training. They do not want to add a skip button; also, they want the user to move freely back/next in the quiz. Can anyone help with how this can be done? I changed the preferences, but it's not getting me to what the client wants. I really need help if anyone can assist. Thanks

Is it possible to copy slides from one project to another? I can only find information on that subject for captovate classic. I have a course for providers and need to slightly alter it for nurses. I really do not want to have to recreate the whole thing.
