Captivate

In the previous version of Captivate, it was fairly easy to enforce no retakes of a quiz after publishing to an LMS, but I just recently got upgraded to Version 12.2 and now I'm unable to do that. I set the number of attempts to "1" on the quiz results slide, but there must be something else I need to do? I also noticed that when I publish the SCORM file, I get two files: one is a ZIP file with the application icon and the other is a folder. I used to upload the folder to the LMS, but it is no longer a supported file type. Help!

Hello,I have the newest version of Captivate Classic 11.8.2.254.I am trying to Preview in HTML one of my projects which I created in 2022.When the system sends me to the browser there is only an endless loading icon and nothing happens.Second thing which I think is related to it is that I can't preview the file in my LMS. U upload the SCORM file and I see endless loading icon in my LMS. I can successfully upload the file but when I try to preview the project - again endless loading icon.1. What can I do to preview the project in HTML?2. What can I do to use my cptx file and "Publish" it to SCORM and use it in my LMS?Please help with this one.

Hello,As a beginner with the new Captivate, I'm trying to set up an initial basic training course to better understand the possibilities and I'm already stuck on a feature that seems rather obvious to me.I simply want to insert an image of coloured waves and have this image aligned vertically with the top edge of the slide.And I'm trying all the different possible settings, but none of them gives the right result (see screenshots). Either the image is distorted, enlarged or badly positioned.If anyone has any ideas or suggestions for solving this problem, I'd love to hear from you 😉Thanks in advance, Sébastien 

We're running into this weird issue on cc2017 version, where the audio will start late, up to a couple seconds throwing off our timeline.It seems to happen when you first enter the slides. They're exported as html5, and I've never seen such a big delay before, especially from a file that isn't that big, or have that much content to slow it down.We're used this file before to make other courses, that had a lot more moving parts, Has anyone else experience this issue, or found what was causing it?

I am creating a Captivate that is mostly drag and drop slides. There are 5 slides with at least 10 drag and drop on each slide. How do I get the 10 drag and drops on each slide to count as 1 individual point displayed on the quiz result slide? So each slide should have 10 points, and if the student gets one wrong, I want them to at least get 9 points for that slide.  Right now if the students misses 1 of the 10 drag and drops on a slide, they miss the whole question losing the whole 10 points rather than just 1. 

Is there a proposed timeline as to when the new Adobe Captivate will be able to make and use hotkeys for actions?

Hello,I use Presenter 10 with Powerpoint 2007, Windows 7 Pro pack service 1, AME CS6 and Quicktime 7.When I import a video file, Media Encoder is launching but nothing happens and I have an error message "The file encoding failed".I tried with several video format (MP4, AVI, FLV ...) and with different files, even a new created file.However, the swf's import works.Thanks for your help.

I use Adobe Captivate Classic 11.8.2.216.When I export to SCORM I get an error message when used in LMS:"Error - unable to aquire LMS API, content may not play properly and result may not be recorded.  Please contact technical support". Anybody who knows how to handle this?

Hi all, I am actually pretty excited about Captivate 12 but I am quickly growing dismayed with the level of assistance I can find. When looking for more information here or on the eLearning site, I am inundated with Captivate < 11 questions and posts. For anyone makine the jump you know that these dicussions just don't carry over.Am I missing something? Has anyone been able to locate:Discussion board filter for only Cp 12 contentFeature RoadmapCP11 to CP12 How-to comparision? (i.e.: you did it x way in 11, you'll do it y way in 12)Advanced user guides I think there are some positive advances that Cp has implemented but certain "classic" features which have just.... vanished? Or maybe they haven't? I dont even know what I don't know! 🤣

Using Captivate 2019, build 11.5.5.553 on Windows 10 Pro.I've had very few problems with Captivate until yesterday. My projects use smart shape navigation buttons with simple advanced actions. Starting yesterday, whenever I copy and then attempt to paste a button to another slide, I get a message with: "A fatal error has occurred and the application is being terminated..." (image attached) and Captivate crashes. This was not an issue previously as I had copied and pasted the same button two days ago in the same project. Thinking something was wrong with my project, I opened a previously completed project and tried the same thing with the same result. This tells me there's an issue with the program, not the project.I cleared my cache and reset preferences to no avail. I hadn't even thought of updating until I saw something on another post. I want to create more VR projects and I am trying to find out the best way to create the images for Captivate VR projects.  What projection is best:  Cylindrical, circular fisheye?  What cameras work best:  GoPro Max, Ricoh, others?  What is the best stitching software for 360 photos?  Does anyone have experience with PTGui (www.ptgui.com) for stitching photos together for Captivate VR projects?  I am hoping that someone has discussed this, but I have not found a good thread yet.

I just got upgraded to Captivate 12.2 and am struggling with publishing my quiz to our LMS so that the project can only be played one time -- no retakes on the quiz. I could do this in the previous version, but I'm not having any luck with 12.2. Any ideas?

HiOur customers want to be able to rewind slides 10 seconds to listen to some content again.I've implemented the solution from Lilybiri​ that works to rewind the whole presentation by 10 seconds. However our users are getting confused when they rewind backwards into another slide.The action is on Success for a rewind shape button on the master slides.Is there a way to rewind 10 seconds only within the slide? So if you're at 5 seconds it just goes to the start of the slide?We're using Captivate 2017.Many thanks,

Hi I am hoping someone will be able to help me.  I am using the new Captivate and I uploaded my project to see how it looked to my LMS (360 Learning), made sure I went into preferences set it to SCORM 1.2 etc.  It worked fine and showed up on my mobile device (first time using fluid boxes and the new captivate).  I worked more on the project saved and uploaded the updated file.  It now shows up as the image shows with a grey box and says download the document... (I uploaded the correct zipped file) and the project played in a preveiw.  Another project I uploaded before this played on the computer but would not open on a mobile device and again when re-uploaded shows the same image.  I have changed the name and the version to no avail.  Has anyone else had this issue?  Does anyone know how to fix this please, I have a deadline and am beginning to panic now, I don't want to have to go back and redo it in the classic Captivate.   Than

I've just uploaded my test course to my companys LMS, going through and answered all the quiz questions and finished off the course by clicking an exit button I created on the last slide. Once I then click 'Complete' on our LMS it get an error messaging stating "Not all fields have been entered" and "Course not completed". Any guidence is appreciated , thanks guys.  Attached is my Quiz preference set up.  

After I've updated Captivate to version 11.8.1.219, I've lost previously available preview options within my project, specifically - Preview From this Slide and Preview Next 5 slides. Does anyone know how to get these options back? Any help would be appreciated!

When I record my screen, captivate will not take an image of the screen, even if I have chosen to always add click boxes. This did not used to be the case. Any suggestions?Thanks!

Greetings Everyone. I did not find the answer to my question in the discussion. Please assist, if possible.  My Drag and Drop project has eight multi state objects for drop targets. The Reset All radial buttons is selected. Hence, the drag objects return to their original position when an incorrect answer is submitted. However, the multi state objects drop targets retain their current state. ISSUE: How can I have Captivate reset all Drop targets to their Normal state when the drag objects return to their original position after Submit (with incorrect answer) is pressed? Kind regards,Sam Pearson

If you use grouping and you have slids NOT in a group, the start slide becomes something else, and not the actual first physical slide in the TOC list. Solution: If you use groups, dont leave any orphansed slides not in a group

Hi there. I'm trying to solve a problem with a module that is currently live on our LMS. The project settings are set to send Resume data so that a learner can exit and go back in and pick up where they left off. I just tested this in Scorm cloud and it works fine.  It could be the way our module is set up: several slides, a quick check with two questions, more content, a final check with 5 more questions. There were quiz questions answered in the previous setting, and a few more AFTER resuming but the quiz results slide shows only the questions answered AFTER resuming, and discounts the ones answered before.  For example there are two questions in the beginning I answered correctly, then paused, then resumed, and answered the last four questions correctly. The passing criteria is set up as 5/6 is passing. The results show a failure of 4/6 because the first two questions are not counted.  Any insights into why this is happening and how to fix it would be g

Hi! To preface, I am new to Captivate and elearning and using Captivate 2019 currently. I have an elearning course for SCORM 1.2 that doesn't have any type of quiz. Each slide consists of a different video and then the Full Course slide will prompt a user to watch the full video and once they reach the end a certificate button will pop up. The only Java script I have is to print the certificate once they get to that point. Any ideas on why that error pops up when using the course from the client LMS but doesn't show up when testing on SCORM Cloud? Below is a debug log from SCORM Cloud. Now that Adobe has stopped using Adobe Flash Player, can anyone tell me how I can publish my Captivate files and run them through a Sharepoint site? I used to publish them and then place the .swf file into Sharepoint to play them. HELP! 

Using Captivate 2019. Can you change the name of index.html in the publishing or export options? So it would be Training.html or something similar? Thanks!

Hi all,I recently installed Captivate 2019 and tried creating my first VR project, but I don't have the option to add 360 videos or images to the slide. It's just a blank white background. Any ideas?Cheers,Lloyd

For years, I avoided using rollovers due to their Flash-based animation. (I felt that the rollover effect could have been handled with CSS but that feature wasn't updated in Captivate.)   Now, in Classic, they work when previewing in HTML5, however, I still get the "not supported" dialog box and they are listed in the HTML5 Tracker panel.    Can anyone explain why? (I searched the forums and google to no avail.)
