Captivate

My eLearning has a fron page with images as the table of contents. Each image has a clickable hotspot over the top to navigate through the sections. When previeiwing the file it looks fine but when I launch the published file the images aren't showing. I can see the text but not the images. When I click on a hotspot to move to another page and then go back, everything is displayed properly. When I rollover the images the rollover text is displayed, everything is working as it should, you just can't see any images.Even the background images on the Master slide aren't showing until you navigate back to the page.All images are set up to appear after 0 seconds and for the rest of the slide. The pauses that have been added are all set at 1.5 seconds. So why aren't the images appearing until you navigate back to the page? What am I missing?Any help would be very much appreciated.

Hi, I am using Adobe Captivate 2019 with SCORM 2004, 4th Edition. I've created a quiz allowing users three attempts. During testing, if I found that if I fail the first attempt and attempt to relaunch the test, I am redirected to the score slide from the previous quiz attempt and clicking the "Continue" button does not have any effect. I've replicated this behavior on SCORM Cloud, ruling out any issues with the LMS. Below are snapshots of the quiz settings  What am I doing wrong here?

We have a major client willing to initially purchase at least 10 licenses of Captivate to be used on a secure network. They therefore need the serial key perpetual license version that is listed in the link below. If the information in the page below is incorrect, Adobe needs to inform us as soon as possible and rectify this on the webpage so that there is no more confusion. We have created templates, designs and workflow for different types of courses for the client. But it turns out that they cannot be used as the client have still not recieved their serial key based innstallations. The people that we communicate with at Adobe can not provide a concrete answer on where the holdup is. Not sure if this is due to organizational structure or why this could happen. The client was first able to make the purchase but never recieved a offline/ serialkey version of the software. A continuing lack of a concrete answer has been hugely problematic for us. Hi,  I am trying to use Captivate projects in LearnDash and I upload them via Grassblade as xAPI content. I however experience that the projects are loading very slowly and have tried almost all the different settings. It takes a long time before the first picture shows - can it be related to settings in Captivate, and do you have some inputs on how to solve the problem?  

Hi Captivate community, I want to change the loading icon to a percentage bar at the startup of the SCORM. This way, we can know how much time it will take to load. With the current icon, if the file size is large, the circle keeps rotating, but we don't know how much time it will take to load. Attached is the screenshot on which I want to change the icon.

I'm building a 360 video VR project with hotposts. When playing back the video either in preview or published mode, the hotspots disappear once the video starts playing. The yellow mouse over glow still happens if you hover over where the hotspot sits and you can click it but the button visual is gone. Is this something to do with duration settings or a big?It wouldn't be so bad if they re-appeared once playback was paused.  The version I'm using is Captivate Classic 11.8.2.254 

I'm using Captivate 12 and the published version looks nothing like the preview. It enlarges to full page width and looks terrible. Is there any way to scale down to look like the preview?  

How to I resize/reposition pictures on the screen. For example when using a character slide, what if I don't want the character floating in the center of the slide. What if I want it postioned at the bottom or slightly larger so that a character bust isn't strangely floating in midair. What if on a picture slide I want the picture to take up 25% of the left side of the screen vs. 50% so that I have more room for text. I feel like moving/resizing an image is a really basic functionality but I have been trying for about 3 hours now and can't figure it out.

How do I lock an asset in the new Captivate, so I don't accidentally move it around? I don't see the usual lock or view icons on the new timeline. Would I have to go edit the timeline toolbar or something? I tried searching "Help" to no avail. Any insight is greatly appreciated, thanks!🙏

Would like to know how to publish a Captivate Classic project so that my stakeholders may review and comment.  These stakeholders do not have a license.  Thank you!

Hi, all.Does anyone know if modules created with the all new Adobe Captivate closes due to inactivity? Or if this is   a feature I can activate/deactivate...? Any help would be appreciated. Thanks in advance!

I am trying to create content but when I try to upload a pic or video from my files using system, it does not show that the slide acutally exists.

I have given up on the new Adobe Captivate and am re-building my project in Captivate Classic. I created a responsive project in CC19, built my fluid boxes, etc. However, when I change to the phone view, it looks like garbage. See below. Desktop: Mobile: I can't figure out what to change to fix this hot mess. I have a few questions:- Is there an easy (or heck, even not-so-easy) way to get the mobile format looking better? I can't seem to wrap my brain around what is happening here. - Can you create different text sizes for the various breakpoints, and if so, how?

Hi,I’m working on a project that includes 360 image interactivity in a responsive project. The issue that I’m facing is, when I preview the 360 slide within Captivate, it’s working fine. However, when I view the slide after publishing from my local drive, it shows a blank screen – No background 360 image, but I could see the text and move around in the interface. Also I’m able to play the audio in the 360 slide. We are planning to provide the project in USB sticks to the learners. Hence, I want the 360 image working without internet connection or webserver.Question:Does the 360 project require a webserver to play the content?Is there any way I could get the 360 playing in the USB stick (pen drive)?Attched the 360 captivate sample here.Thanks in advance.Getty

HiI am using the systemvariable cpQuizInfoPointsscored in a text object to display the score.I am using buttons across the project and set the reporting to add to quizz and add to total.At the end of my course its a button to take the course again if the user did not get all the points.If I go through the course and not answering all the questions. Click the try again button and take the questions I skipped the first time. The score gets set to 0 and starts over? Any idea what this is.Am I using the wrong variable?

I am using the new version of Captivate. I published my training, uploaded the content to AWS and am sharing the link with stakeholders (who are all on Windows machines; I'm a mac-user). The challenge is that when people using Windows devices click the AWS link, the audio is not working properly. The beginning or end of the audio files are being cut off (there is no pattern; the time cut off is different for each person). When you inspect the file, there is a warning that says it's an issue with content not being able to be auto-played. I know content can't be auto-played, but the user is clicking a button to advance to the next slide and the audio is generating from their action. Has anyone else experienced this issue? I have a deadline to share this content with a client tonight, and I can't get the audio working.  I tried SCORM cloud, but my file is too big for the free plan, and I'm not sure I want to pay for a bigger plan if I don't even know that it will fix the au

Is there a way to stop audio from replaying when you return to a slide if you've already listened once in the new Captivate? 

I just spent the morning trying to make one of my modules' elements 'animate in' when the user loads the slide. What some might call an Animate onScroll. Like it shows in the sizzle videos for Captivate. Like 360 has out of the box.  I've determined that the animations on this product are unable to be used in an actual product as the both seem to slow it down, and won't show up in the authoring enviroment once you add them to the elements. (Using MacOS and an M1 MBP with 32Gb of RAM. Made for Apple Silicon my ass.)  This is a letdown as even PPT can work with simple animations. 

We found only a Set-up.exe file to launch the installation.I tried with /s and --silent without success.No help available with common line switch /? and /helpWe need to deploy it with SCCM, before the Classic version, the default setup.exe (Captivate 11.8.0) allow silent install and the download was with the Adobe Admin console.Now there is no Captivate Classic on the Admin console (only the new Captivate 12).

I have this really anoying problem.The course is packed with advanced actionscript. But this (I think ) should not have anything to do with that.The course works just fine the first time the user takes it. At the end its a button that show up if the user have not answer all questions in the course. The user can then click the button and the scoeboard gets reset and all questions are reset. The user gets send to the first slide of the course. That all good.But the at the end I have a slide with a slide video. At the end of that slide is two buttons with a pause on them. Now to the problem.As soon as I click on another browser window in the same browser. The project starts to play from the beginning of that slide. When I go back to the window with the course. It pause.How can it be that clicking on another browser window gets the project to start playing. And then pausing when I return to that window?

 I have created this slide and I have created advanced actions to delay the next button until all actions have taken place using the if-then-else conditions however even when all actions have happened the next button does not show. Can someone please tell me where I have gone wrong?  

My captivate work a bit slow but when I enter in my tmeplate and want to modify something is so slow! Like 5 minutes only to move a thing. It frost and think for 5 minutes. That is so annoying!Does anyone have this problem?I have try to close everithing, delete the cache and reopen and it's still slow. thanks 

I would like to create a course that includes a nonscrubbable video file and a quiz. I have an Adobe Captivate subscription and an Adobe Learning Manager subscription.  How do I accomplish that requirement/how do you disable video scrubbing in Captivate files uploaded to Adobe Learning Manager?  If I disable the playbar in Adobe Captivate and use the playbar within Adobe Learning Manager, then users lose the pause/resume functionality. Content tracking/the ability to resume content is supposed to be possible within Adobe Learning Manager. However, if users pause the video and exit out of the course - they then have to restart the video from the beginning and they have to remember where they left off.
