Captivate

I am using the new version of Captivate. I published my training, uploaded the content to AWS and am sharing the link with stakeholders (who are all on Windows machines; I'm a mac-user). The challenge is that when people using Windows devices click the AWS link, the audio is not working properly. The beginning or end of the audio files are being cut off (there is no pattern; the time cut off is different for each person). When you inspect the file, there is a warning that says it's an issue with content not being able to be auto-played. I know content can't be auto-played, but the user is clicking a button to advance to the next slide and the audio is generating from their action. Has anyone else experienced this issue? I have a deadline to share this content with a client tonight, and I can't get the audio working.  I tried SCORM cloud, but my file is too big for the free plan, and I'm not sure I want to pay for a bigger plan if I don't even know that it will fix the au

Is there a way to stop audio from replaying when you return to a slide if you've already listened once in the new Captivate? 

I just spent the morning trying to make one of my modules' elements 'animate in' when the user loads the slide. What some might call an Animate onScroll. Like it shows in the sizzle videos for Captivate. Like 360 has out of the box.  I've determined that the animations on this product are unable to be used in an actual product as the both seem to slow it down, and won't show up in the authoring enviroment once you add them to the elements. (Using MacOS and an M1 MBP with 32Gb of RAM. Made for Apple Silicon my ass.)  This is a letdown as even PPT can work with simple animations. 

We found only a Set-up.exe file to launch the installation.I tried with /s and --silent without success.No help available with common line switch /? and /helpWe need to deploy it with SCCM, before the Classic version, the default setup.exe (Captivate 11.8.0) allow silent install and the download was with the Adobe Admin console.Now there is no Captivate Classic on the Admin console (only the new Captivate 12).

HiI am trying to work out where I set the pass mark for a quiz in Captivate Charm. Could anyone tell me?!Many thanks in advance.M

I have this really anoying problem.The course is packed with advanced actionscript. But this (I think ) should not have anything to do with that.The course works just fine the first time the user takes it. At the end its a button that show up if the user have not answer all questions in the course. The user can then click the button and the scoeboard gets reset and all questions are reset. The user gets send to the first slide of the course. That all good.But the at the end I have a slide with a slide video. At the end of that slide is two buttons with a pause on them. Now to the problem.As soon as I click on another browser window in the same browser. The project starts to play from the beginning of that slide. When I go back to the window with the course. It pause.How can it be that clicking on another browser window gets the project to start playing. And then pausing when I return to that window?

 I have created this slide and I have created advanced actions to delay the next button until all actions have taken place using the if-then-else conditions however even when all actions have happened the next button does not show. Can someone please tell me where I have gone wrong?  

My captivate work a bit slow but when I enter in my tmeplate and want to modify something is so slow! Like 5 minutes only to move a thing. It frost and think for 5 minutes. That is so annoying!Does anyone have this problem?I have try to close everithing, delete the cache and reopen and it's still slow. thanks 

I would like to create a course that includes a nonscrubbable video file and a quiz. I have an Adobe Captivate subscription and an Adobe Learning Manager subscription.  How do I accomplish that requirement/how do you disable video scrubbing in Captivate files uploaded to Adobe Learning Manager?  If I disable the playbar in Adobe Captivate and use the playbar within Adobe Learning Manager, then users lose the pause/resume functionality. Content tracking/the ability to resume content is supposed to be possible within Adobe Learning Manager. However, if users pause the video and exit out of the course - they then have to restart the video from the beginning and they have to remember where they left off.   

Hi there, I am trying to use the published SCORM packages on our Moodle site and everything seems to be going ok until I get to the quiz sections.  Usually the first two questions work then the submit button is no longer active. I have tried this with differnt question types and it always seems to happen on the second or third qs regardless of which type it is. It works fine in the preview - any suggestions? Thanks 

Issue with SCORM 1.2 file generated using Captivate 12 version and while loading to LMS generates a blank page and course does not load

Hi all! I want to export the closed captions in each of our project so we have a written record of what they all say (we no longer have the scripts). When I export them, the closed captions show up as black bars. If you search the document for key words they will show up, so apparently the closed captioning text is hidden within the black bars. I have tried changing the color of the Word document, but that didn't help. Any other recommendations?

Using Captivate Classic I created a quiz. I only want the user to get 1 chance to take it. For some reason when I fail the quiz, it is allowing me to go back into the quiz but opens to question slide 46 of 51 instead of opening to the results page to show the failure message. I tried setting Quiz Preferences to 1 attempt, Action: No Action; Action: Continue; and Action: Jump to slide 51 (the results page) but evey options gives me the same result of opening to question slide 46. I have no idea if this is a Captivate problem or an LMS problem but decided to start here to see if anyone has any thoughts on this.

Did they do away with the VR stuff in the New (2023) version? If you can use it, how? Any info would be greatly appreciated 

I am trying to have knowledge checks placed throughout the content where if the user fails the knowledge check, it will re-route them to the prior slide where the content is covered > they get another chance to take the knowledge check > once they pass, they proceed to the next slide. However, they must pass to proceed. How can I add the part where it reroutes them? I assume it's in the interactions, but I don't know what to add. Thoughts?  (using the new Adobe Captivate)

Hi! I'm using Adobe Captivate Classic. I'm on version 11.8.2 (latest version). What is happening is upon opening the project, the center image gets stuck on the first slide and doesn't change. I've recorded a video here: https://youtu.be/YO1w1aQJIlg - set to unlisted, but if you click the link, you should be able to watch it. I've tried uninstalling and re-installing. I tried changing the installer location. I've cleared the cache and the keychain. I'm not sure what else to do. Is this a bug with Adobe? 

I am trying to create a hotspot with an attached audio. So, when the user clicks on the hotspot of the image, an audio starts playing. Then, if heclicks on another hotspot of this slide, another audio will start playing. I tried using javascript, but I wasn't able to do so. Also, how could I import my own audio recordings? Thanks in advance for your help!

Hi, Does working offline with Captivate cause many issues? I have been working off the server and noticed I have had a lot. I have now saved the file on my desktop. Noticed some videos and interactions missing. Also I may have missed a setting somewhere as some of my slides move automatically and other slides the user has to press play before anyhing starts.

Hello all:My org recently did a major Win 11 update (v22H2).  Now I am unable to get my Captivate Classic to open properly.It launches and asks me to choose to Browse, Create, or explore resources.  However, when I either select an existing file, or ask it to create a new one, it fails to do so.  No UI, just the icon in the taskbar and blank thumbnails when I hover over the icons.I am wide open to suggestions...-Mark

I embedded Captivate 2019 HTML5 project in iFrame of the web page. Everything works fine except the main page scrolls to the iframe on load in Firefox and Edge. It's certainly not what I expected and I can't figure out why is it happening. Some forums  suggest it is in some way connected to autoplay function. I tried with autoplay on and off but the problem is the same, although autoplay doesn't work at all due to the known autoplay problem. Any help would be appreciated.

Hello! I am making a learning video with fillable textboxes. Do you know if I can make it so that the video starts playing when the students fill in the textbox and hit enter? (I thought it would be nice if they don't have to hit "play" button)

Does anyone know how to replay a part of the slide video in Adobe captivate 2023? I created bookmarks to jump back to where the particular part starts, but it freezes when the video gets to the bookmark. 

I feel like I run into this often and I can never find the answer.I create a slide with all of the objects I want on the screen (responsive project with fluid boxes).I create buttons for options of testing the knowledge I want from the user.Then I get to the part where I want to set it up as a quiz question and my options are limited and the Quiz menus are greyed out.I can "include in quiz", but i can automatically show the success or failure options and have the project pause without using advanced actions. It would be much simpler to just have the options available on a regular quiz slide to ensure it functions properly without me needing to create more advanced action problems (potentially) as I go.What am I missing here? Using most recent version of captivate. Using objects as buttons....what other questions? 

I am trying to make a dictation exercise video with the slide video and overlays. When a bookmark takes us to an overlay, the video stops playing and goes silent. Is there any way I can keep playing the video in the background?
