Can we show custom cursor for Drag and Drop activity in captivate 2019

I've inserted a tab widget into a new page on a blank project (no assets used) and it gets funny in the preview, will it come back to normak once uploaded? Why is the preview so stretched out and wierd?  The first screenshot with the scarecro is how it looks in the authoring window, and the second with the potatoes is how it previews, none of the other widgets are doing this.  * I had disabled the heading on the widget and it still appears in the preview as well. Previewing on the mac in ventura using Safari. 

I just started using Captivate and am using the new V12, not Classic. Is there a way to set the defaults for closed captions for a project?  This includes setting the default font, the default voice agent, etc.  You can at least change fonts on all slides after setting up one slide, but it appears you have to change the voice agent separately on every single slide. I cannot find any way to do this in Captivate.  I've also searched the Windows Registry and looked through the XML files in the install directory of Captivate, but had no luck. Is this something that is simply not implemented? Hennie 

Can anyone suggest a reliable, US based, Captivate reseller?  Every year I practically have to beg to get a renewal quote sent to me and am ready to try someone other than Adobe. Thanks, Tony

I have partial scoring set up for 30 questions over 4 question slides. Each question has a partial score of 1 which should equal a total of 30 for the Maximum score, however, the max score states 46. The correct responses do reflect the number of questions I selected, I just can't figure out where the max score comes from. Any idea where the extra 16 points come from? Thanks in advance for any help!

I have a Play button on my Captivate slide for the user to press when they want to hear the audio for the slide. After the audio plays I have a Replay button appear in case they want to hear the audio again. But, the replay button takes them back to the beginning of the slide showing the Play button again. I want the Replay to go back to frame 2 to bypass that Play button, Is this possible?

I just started the free trial with the new Captivate and am following the tutorial videos included. I chose the Leadership template for practice. The tutorial person chose a different template. He says to adjust the picture on the title slide, click the pencil next to the asset/system folder. On my Leadeship template there isnt a pencil, even though I can change the image. When I try to move the texbox title, it moves the picture too, so I feel sure the text is locked to the picture (so no pencil to adjust the image). I can't find an unlock anywhere. Help! Thank you! 

I am doing a project for school and having issues with my SmartShapes. When I publish my project to HTML, they are not there. I published to video, and they are there.  There are simple SmartShape. They are not buttons; no fancy work going on. I did have an Enternce effect applied at one point, but I have removed it. Now they come in later on the slide, according to the narration. I have arrows pointing to what I am talking about on the screen. Example of the arrow. Properties setting  Timing Here is my timeline - SmartShape_35 is the one in the above image. So as you can see very simple. I am using Chrome, and yes I have made sure it is updated. I even tried it in Edge and it did the same thing.   Any ideas on why they are not showing up only when I publish it to an HTML5? Thanks

Good morning.  I found a similar post with this question, but it never got to a solution.  So apoligies if this is a repeat.  I'm trying to create a slide (actually, several) that include images and an audio file.  I want the images to appear at times appropriate to the audio file.  I've included 3 images.  The first shows at the beginning of the slide.  The second "should" appear at around 28 seconds, and the third should appear at 73 seconds.  For the latter two graphics, I have the "Appear After" in "Timing" set at 28 and 73 seconds respecrively, and both are set to display for the rest of the slide.  Both of them are assigned the "Fade/Zoomin" effect when they appear.  When I first created the slide, I saved it and previewed using HTML5 in Browser and everything worked fine.  I then created a second slide.  This one also had an audio file and three graphics, but it was set to appear at 2, 10 and 20 seconds. 

Hello, I am excited to get my captivate 2019 software installed and just finished my project. However, when I publish the project, I got a black screen when browsing in both Chrome and Edge. Can you pls help? If so, that would be great. Your help is greatly appreciated. The project can display in Captivate and preview.   I published the project. When double clicking on index.html to review the project, I got a black screen.   The browser is supporting WebGL.  I published the project as HTML5. Thank you so much for your advice in advance!

Hi, I'm currently enjoying the trial version of the New Adobe Captivate. However, I cannot see where to publish my trial course as a SCORM file to upload to my LMS. The only option is as an HTML file. Is this function available? Kind regards David Parker

Currently reviewing the new Adobe Captivate 12. After trying out various aspects, one important constraint (probably necessary to make it fully responsive) is the closed nature of the various blocks (text block, media blocks). Once added, you can't just add another graphic element to your slide, or make changes to the existing elements other than those in the predefined parameters located on the right.This initially seemed truly limiting, but in a recent YouTube review of the product by Tim Slade, someone from Adobe elearning (Allen Partridge) responded that it is possible for users to "...create your own design options - and those will allow you to change the contents / arrangements and layout of the items for any given layout slide - so things like moving a button around etc. are all within reach". If this is the case, it makes the product truly powerful. My question is how does one do this (haven't spent hours trying to find out how, but it doesn't seem obvious)?Another aspect of th

I have a radio button quiz. When I rollover each one a grey highlight appears. Sometimes they are too short for the answer and I can't find a way to adjust them. Please see my example.

Has anyone had any luck using the new version of Captivate in Canvas? Because Canvas has such a small work area, the Captivate projects are resizing them as though they are being viewed on a tablet. Is there a workaround to prevent this from happening?

Hi, I have a page where audio is playing, and then an image and a button display half way through. The button triggers an Advanced Action that displays another image, the Forward button, and also triggers audio to play. However, I can't seem to get my main audio to stop playing once the learner triggers the second piece of audio. I had tried adding "Stop Triggered Audio" to my advanced action, but that didn't stop my main audio. Any ideas? Thanks, Kristen

I have a copy of Captivate 8 for Mac purchased and registered to my Adobe account. I can download the software and install the software on a High Sierra Mac computer no problem, but both at the end of the installatioon process, or on first launch after installation, it prompts me to sign in with my adobe ID, which seems to be accepted, but afterward prompts me to activate the product with my serial number, but that screen behaves as if it's not connected to the internet and tells me it can't connect with a retry prompt that never works. I have read some help articles that mention offline activation for some CS5/5.5/6 apps, and Captivate 8 was certainly made in this era and does install some things like CS6 media encoder, is this possible somehow? The link for 'unable to activate online' on the unable to connect error message sends me to an adobe page that does not exist anymore and gives a 404 error.  

My Cp12 won't even upload a 5-second video which I made in 16:9 format to test things out. It is 7.2 MB MPEG-4.  When I click Add Video--> System, my videos are "greyed out" and unavailable for upload. Any idea what the problem could be?

I'm using adobe captivate 12.0.0.2892 for free. I faced two problems:1. I preview my pages content on browser except page that has timeline widget2. Adobe automatically generate .cpt, but I want to use scrom file I do not see where to generate it

Can I use captivate classic for developing content for future projects, since the updated version has been launched? I want to know how long the Captivate classic will be continued further. Is it a good idea to use Captivate classic?

Hi all, I cannot open any of the Captivate files I created in the older version after the update. Did anyone face the same issue? Any support is much appreciated.  

I have a situation that requires clever solutions / work-arounds. I create training for a company, internal access only. The HR department doesn't want a Quiz to verify that knowledge has been aquired.  "no testing" is our current standard. So we developed training videos that our audience can jump around using TOC. They learned to fast-forward through the videos. Then I created a trainnig course in which they couldn't fast forward. Our audience has learned that playing the trainnig material from beginning to end - and ignoring it completely - has been a way to get around the training requirements.  As you can imagine, we are not achieving our goals.  I was able to get permission to use Knowledge Slides; without options for users to 'fail' anything. So now I can force interaction on the training material, but I can't force someone to re-do a slide if they answer wrong, etc.  Once they answer the knowledge slide, the presentation continues. &

Good day all,As we are aware that text animation was removed in captivate classic as it was a flash(swf). and recently there was fixed (c/o paul wilson tutorial https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=j343-qDQDGU&t=1s) by recording a demo simulation and type the text you need then it will be captured as typing text, when you right click you can convert it as text animation. I've managed to do this with 11.8.1.219. but when I updated with the latest 11.8.2, I cannot do it anymore. I'm using this animation when a learner fails to ype the correct one in text entry. Has anyone found a solution to this? or maybe tried on the all new captivate? but thinking you cannot use a file from all new to classic. Thank you all.

I am a new user, so you will either have to forgive me or celebrate me here with this idea 🙂 PPTX and 16:9 was made at a time when people were consuming things on desktop screens. IMO, this shape is out-dated, because SO MANY folks consume their media on tablets or phone, which do much better with a square format. Even in giving Zoom workshops, I now use square slides because it is more efficient for screen real estate. If Cp would create a square project, it would solve all of this madness about responsiveness across devices--we'd create one project, it would be square, and it would work well on all devices. I mean, think of all the glitches that are being caused by things rendering differently in the different device-viewing modes... and all the money and grief Adobe is spending trying to make responsivesness across layouts work, and all the limitations it puts on the creators, and on the learners... What do others think? Hi! I've opened the all-new Captivate for the first time yesterday and I've been trying out a few things. Something I've noticed is that the vertical padding from a paragraph box can't go above 100 pixels when you type it in manually into the visual properties window. Is there any reason to that? Thanks in advance.
