In Illustrator it's already glowing, but not in Character Animator.
I've done everything I know and I even used another puppet I have as an example (that one works well), but this arm just comes off everytime I move it (like the first picture). I seriously need help!!!
Any audio file I insert into Character Animator does not back in normal time. When I press play, the animation runs smoothly but the audio plays as if it's on 1/2 speed. When I export, the audio sounds completely fine, but this is preventing me from fine-tuning my visemes. Does anyone know how to fix this? I've attached a picture of my audio preferences.
LgKaan G.
The setting "File > batch import transcripts for lip sync" is not allowing me to click on it. I can't understand why I am not able to access this setting, and I need it to animate many similar animations in a row. Is there a way that I am able to enable this setting? I am using the PRO version of the app, and haven't found any guide online for this.
Using CH 3.2 and AE 17.0.6 Whenever I try to drag and drop a scene from Character Animator into After Effects, it rarely ever works. It seems completely random when it works, trying repeatedly doesn't seem to help. It'll work for a few hours then stop working for weeks. Most of the time when I drag a scene from CH to AE, nothing happens. Just, nothing. No error, no crash, just nothing. If I drag and drop into Premiere, it works just fine. It only seems to have issues with After Effects.
I'm trying to figure out how to setup my stream out to be 1080i. I see where you can resize the scene in the stream window, but it only lets you change the dimesnions and frame rate, and doesn't give you an option to choose between progressive and interlaced. It's defaulting to 1080p when I send through Mercury transport to a DeckLink card, but I need it to be 1080i. Is this a setting buried somewhere? or does the stream funciton only output in progressive?
Hi all!I could use someone's help on this one. This error message keeps appearing when I try and record any of my various puppets. I was making a few changes to two of my puppets in illustrator and then when i booted up CA, I can across this error. I am currently using ver 3.3 so idk if updating will help. Please let me know what you think I should do here. CA is basically unusable for me at the moment. Thank you
I've created an illustrator puppet, but there are a lot of different variations that I want to keep in the puppet, but not necessarily see in the Rigging area in CA. Can I use the paste up area in Illustrator to 'hide' the different variations?
I work on the integrated video card from Intel.Faced such a problem.ADOBE Character throws an error (outdated video driver). Also, I noticed that the window with visual triggers is not displayed. Also, the error appeared only when I was working with Photoshop .psd (I updated the puppet and synchronized with ADOBE Charater)
Hi!I have a scene with many characters, but most of them are just kind of standing around, blinking and reacting. Would have been great to animate one character, and then copy and paste the animation into all the others. The rigging of the characters is almost identical. Is there a way to do this?
Ich möchte gerne in Charakter Animate einen Vierbeiner animieren, aber ich kann immer nur zwei Beine anlegen. Geht das überhaupt? Hat jemand einen Tipp wie das gehen könnte?
Hi there,I really apperciate the communities help here.I am trying to understand how to do dangling ears like the below character. (Bunny Dude) I understand how to put "Dangle" handles down on my own design, but can't seem to figure out how the below character's dangle handle on the bottom of the ear is connected to the nose. How did it get that dotted line, how was it connected? I have some experience with the stick tool, but this looks like it is using something else? Thanks so much!Any tutorials on this would be helpful as well. Also - I tried to label the ears as arms in one of my designs to control the ears with my arms instead of the animal is that possible? Thanks,Diana
Hi there! I exported a scene via Media Encoder (H.264) but the finished product looks a bit different than how it looks in Character Animator. Part of the left side of the background is cut off and appears on the right side of the scene. There is also a vertical line going through the scene at the point where that piece begins. What can be the cause of this and how can I fix it? Attached is a screenshot of the issue I'm experiencing.
Hi there, Is it possible to Animating Arms with my Arm Movements? If so can you provide a turtorial on how to accomplish this? It appears you can only assign a drag and click effect.
Hello there, hope you will be doing great. I have an issue with the rigging of a new character. This is a simple potato character having only a head and limbs no torso. When I import the file in the character animator, the face background didn't show there. Please let me know how to fix it, is there any issue with layers or this is something else? Screenshots are given here. I am using adobe illustrator 2020 and adobe character animator 2022.
Hi everybody,I've been working with Ch for a while now and I find that I'm quickly running out of keyboard alphanumerical keys to use for trigger purposes (I wish we could assign more keys to triggers) so I'm thinking it might be time to invest in something to help the situation. I've seen people post about controlling triggers with a MIDI keyboard. I don't know the first thing about those. What's a good budget one to get, how do they work, and does anyone have recommendations on where to start? Or is there something totally different that I should be looking into?I don't know if it's relevant, but I'm mostly working on a desktop PC and occasionally on a Surface laptop (laptop is much less relevant as it's getting on in age and may have to be replaced with something more animation-friendly soon anyway). Also, to clarify, I don't stream these animations live and what I see surrounding MIDI online seems to be geared more toward livestreams. Would it still work for plain ole recordin
Hi there, I came across a strange behaviour of my Character Animator - it would shut down every time I attempted to open a puppet or just a file. Seldom it would open and not crash as long as I didn't switch to the Rig Mode. The problem is very frustrating. Any ideas how to solve this?
When I create a scene everyting fits perfectly in the 1920x1080 box. When I export the scene to MP4, everything shifts to the left and there's an additional vertical section added to the right of the screen. What's going on? Thanks.
The default background keeps popping up unwanted. So I clicked on "edit original." But instead of taking me to Photoshop -- it takes me Photoshop Elements, where I cannot properly delete the background files.
I am using puppet maker and have imported two different puppets. When I have one puppet selected and one audio clip selected and click "sync," the voice syncs to both the currently selected puppet AND the other puppet in the scene. How do I ensure that I sync only one puppet?
Hi, I animated a scene in Character animator then linked it to an after effects project. But it seems the Ch audio doesn't work in AE... I've seen older posts talking about the same issue but no solution there. Is this a bug that dosn't have a fix?
Hello Community Please help? I'm using the standard puppets that come with Character Animator. The Starter version of Character Animator allows me to drag and drop the triggers onto my timeline. However, I cannot find that same functionality on the Pro version. The puppet already came with triggers, now all I want to do is add them to my recording, but I can't seem to figure it out on Pro. Thanks a ton in advance!
When I export the MP4, the audio is much softer than it should be. I am using all standard settings. What's the trick to getting Character Animator to export an MP4 with the right overall audio levels. The audio is from mp3's, and the recordings are fine, at normal levels. But when the scene is exported to MP4, the overall volume level of the video is about half of what it should be -- which I heard lowers your ranking on Google Search, by the way, which makes this doubly itrritating.
The work area is like the default character background -- it keeps coming into play uncommanded. I set the work area to end of video using "set work area to end at playhead" -- but the next time I play the video, it stops 2 seconds early, at the end of some OTHER work area that I never set (or at least never purposefully set). Is there a way to just turn the work area function off until it's actually neeeded?
