Hello, I downloaded Adobe Digital Edition today on my iPad mini to download and read from online books. The reading menu which appears at the bottom of the doesn't have text size adjustment option( as shown in GETTING STARTED WITH Adobe.....). So how do I adjust the text size to my comfort? Why is text size option missing while the brightness control, search and history is appearing below?
Hello all, I was reading a book on digital editions and after a computer reboot the software doesn't run anymore. I've clicked on all the exe. file folders of the digital editions and opens nothing. It seems the computer try to run it but just for two seconds because in the task manager appears the task and then disappear. Anybody could help me?
Hi there, I need to reset my accounts activation count. Do to some trouble with my e-reader I apparently used up all the availabe activations. If somebody could help me, please?
When I tried to register one of my current reading apps to use borrowed books it says I'm over the number of devices I can authorize. I guess I have to ask for a reset.EDIT: after two tries in chat, I was able to get one nice employee to rest my device count. I doubt there is a way to get help in these forums, as I was told in the first chat attempt, as there are mostly basic users... Overall, Adobe gives quite a lousy service...
I downloaded an Ebook from my local library to ADE on my computer. I then dragged it to my Nook. It shows in the library but does not load so I can read it. (FYI: this is a Nook that I have been successfully used for years, the library recently updated their Overdrive software and I was having trouble downloading ebooks. I uninstalled the old ADE and installed the current version. I can read the ebook on my computer. I tried downloading another book with the same results.)
I have Adobe Digital Editions on both my Macbook Pro and iPhone SE. Both had been working fine until recently, where I'm now getting an error message on the iPhone. The eBook I'm trying to load still loads perfectly on the Mac. However when I try and load it on the iPhone, it comes up with the following error message:Connection Error DetectedDigital Editions could not connect to the fulfillment server. Please make sure you are connected to the internet.I'm definitely connected to the internet so that isn't the issue here. I've tried deauthorizing my account, deleted the app and then reinstalling it and reauthorizing the account in the hopes a reset would fix the issue. Unfortunately it hasn't. What other steps am I able to take to fix this?Given the error mentions a 'fulfillment server' I'm wondering if there's an issue on Adobe's side of the equation and not something I can fix myself.
I have recently installed ADE on my Lenovo Desktop running Windows 10. I can download EPUB books from Essex CC library to ADE but I cannot authorise my computer to enable downloading to my Kobo Glo because the list of vendors does not include Kobo. I have tried Overdrive in place of Kobo (this is where the EPUB books originate - in effect the vendor, although they are in fact free - and because Overdrive is on the drop-down vendor list. This does not work either and in both cases the error message is (approximately) "either the password or the user Id does not match the vendor"Totally confused : Any ideas? Not sure how the reply gets to me. My mobile No. is 07876 080 462ThanksJohn D

Hello. I'm fairly new to Kobo but have successfully downloaded books from Overdrive in the past. Today, I had one book that said it was protected and another that successfully downloaded. I returned both to the public library using ADE and ensured both were removed from the device and from my library account. However, each time I go into ADE now those books show with an exclamation mark in the upper right corner. I delete them from my library only for their return when I go back into ADE. Any suggestions on how to permanently delete these books? I using a Mac.Thanks in advance.
I can't get the Overdrive Account authorized on my computer.[Edited title to disambiguate it - moderator]

A book downloaded from Booktopia via Adobe Digital Editions, thus being authorised, and copied to the Kobo ebook reader can't be read because trying to open it in the ereader receives a message - Oops! you need to sign in with Adobe ID. What am I doing wrong?
I got a new ipad. Overdrive adobe ID and my digital editions ID aren't the same, therefore, I can't read books I download on my ipad in Digital Editions. I tried to erase authorization in digital editions, but it is asking for a vendor login ID. I want to get the digital editions account to be the same as the ipad, as I have already started reading the book in overdrive.
I have had the Adobe Digital Editions reader installed on a computer since this summer, when I needed it to receive an e-book sent to me by a publisher. Recently, I accessed a book through a university library through the ADE reader. There were some initial problems downloading the book to the reader, but it finally downloaded. When it did, I noticed that the earlier book was labelled "Missing." This week, I have a new computer and am trying to access both books. Since ADE reader was not installed on my computer when I bought it, I went to the site and downloaded and installed the software. I also accessed my account, through which I purchase other Adobe products. ADE reader was not there--maybe because it is freely available and not a subscription?Anyway, when I returned to the reader itself, neither of the books was there. Shouldn't those books be accessible to me from the Cloud somewhere. I don't recall having to register it in anyway and I have no record of User Name or
It's such a long story that I don't know where to start and it's all starting to blur together, so I'll do my best here. I was originally using ADE 2.0, which I've been using since March of 2013 with few errors. I started with OpenLibrary (had no library card) and then two years ago moved to a place where I had a library card. Had few errors, a couple of instances of "E_STREAM_ERROR:", but they cleared up on their own and were only momentary.Toward the end of October I was reading an ebook I'd borrowed from my local library. Got toward the middle and it seemed to freeze. It didn't really freeze. The book just kept going slowly. It got "stuck." It took forever to go from the book to my library. I left the book in my library (as long as it wasn't accessed, it wasn't problematic) and sent an email to my library via Overdrive on 11/1. No response. I removed the book from my library, re-downloaded it, still the same problem. Sent a second email after several days to my library. No res
I download books for my kobo via overdrive. I have adobe 4.0. It has always worked then suddenly stopped. If I try to download a book the message Error: Check Activation appears. I have tried to deauthorize my computer so I can reauthorize it, but it says "unable to unauthorize computer. Try later" I also uninstalled the program and reinstalled it - that did nothing. I then uninstalled it and installed 3.0 (older version) Once I had 3.0 - any library book I tried to download attempted to open via Adobe Reader X with an error message of Unable to open the file. So - no library books for me. Is there anything that can be done to fix this issue or do I need to go back to paperback books?
When I download a book from the Toronto Public Library I receive the following errorUnable to DownloadError Getting License. License Server Communication Problem:E_STREAM_ERRORThis just started two days ago. I've been using the library with my KOBO for over 4 years and I've never had a problem.Any ideas ?Jeff White
als ik alles verwijder in de boekenkast en bibliotheek komen items terug na opnieuw opstarten. Het betreft mislukte downloads. Meld bij verwijderen dat de oorspronkelijke locatie niet verwijderd wordt. Hoe los ik dit op?
My laptop was stolen and now I have a new laptop. I downloaded Adobe digital editions and authorised it with my digital id, but I do not see the ebooks that I purchased. I have a PC with Windows 10.How can I access my ebooks? ( I do not have a copy of the invoice or receipt)
I Mac computer is slowly dying and I have bought a new computer (software: Windows 10). How can I transfer my books in my Mac Digital Editions to my new computer?
When I try to erase authorization I get a error message saying please try some time later. This has been going on for 24 hours.
I've download Adobe Digital Edition to my PC; I have authorized my computer; I have downloaded the library book borrowed in .acsm (I also see it on my computer as a .epub file) and I can see it on Adobe Digital Edition when I open it, but it's the only thing I see! I have plugged in my Kobo Aura H20 (which is included in the compatibility list) to the computer. BUT, it doesn't appear in the list on the left as a device that I can authorize. Why doesn't it appear? And how can I authorize it? I only seem to be able to authorize 1 computer and that's it. I don't get any errors nothing like that, just doesn't seem to recognize it. Help, what am I doing wrong or not doing??? I just want to read my book!!!ThanksK
