Dimension

I did some rendering, and Dimension started to bug. I had to close it byforce. Now, whenever I try to open it, it gets stuck on a specific displaypercentage that I can't change. And I can see anything, all the screen isgrey. So I uninstalled and reinstalled the software twice but it didn'tchange anything, and I still have to go through the task manager to closethe software. I'm really afraid I won't have access to my project anymore...

Hi. This is my first post as a CC member. I have installed Dimension as I really want to do some packaging designs and to try and create realistic looking 3D models for product design. No matter how many times I have tried, I cannot get any objects at all to actually appear in the window. I'm pretty computer savvy and I use alot of Adobe programmes already. When I click an object from the left hand side menu, it says loading but then all I get is the red, green and blue arrows in the window but no object. I have tried placing so many things into the window but absolutely nothing shows up. In the scene window on the right it labels all the objects I've apparently placed but I just can't see them.I've watched the tutorials several times and looked on youtube and asked in my graphic design groups but nothing. Please can anyone shed any light on what I am doing wrong?

Hi, I have started working on adobe dimension. Basically, I have started graphic designing a few months back for the first time. I am unable to get a mockup design in a flat lay perspective. I need to make coffee can mockups in a flatlay perspective with shadows. Can I do that in the dimension of will I have to take it to photoshop?

Within Adobe Dimension can I use any starter asset models, materials and lights then export them to Photoshop to render a Psd. This PSD file can then sell it online? Does anyone know the copyright clause etc? 

I created a file yesterday, saved it and then closed Dn. I tried to open it this morning (computer was left on) and I get the error message stated in the subject line. The file is not missing as you will see in the screenshot but I am unable to open it. Have tried double clicking the file, using file open and navigating to the file. This has been the case for all Dn files I have created (3 total:). The work around I have found is to create a new file and import the file as a 3D model (file "...Stacked2" in the screenshot). From there I am able to continue working. The new file will even show up in the "Recent" list after closing but it seems to be the trend that after a day has passed Dn no longer recognizes the file. Grateful for any help! Dn 3.4.1 (build number included in 2nd screenshot) Edition Windows 10 EnterpriseVersion 20H2Installed on ‎3/‎12/‎2021OS build 19042.868Experience Windows Feature Experience Pack 120.2212.551.0 

Hi,even simple geometries like a cylinder created in Shapr3D and exported as OBJ and imported in Adobe Dimension causes problems - see att. image!It works perfectly when exporting STL but then there is a lighting issue in Adobe Dimension (the reflections are pixelated and unnatural).Any ideas?ThanksTristan

I have a project where the combination of several object files converted from CAD drawings has led my Dimension file size to be 1.4Gb in size.  I've tried saving the entire scene as an OBJ file however then it ends up close to 3GB in file size.   When I try to render it, it crashes my Dell computer to a blue screen.  The image below is the best i have been able to get so far.  I used a "medium" render for this.  I don't know why the blue (glass texture) was partially rendered.   Any advise on trying to decrease filesize or make it so that I can render would be great.  System:Intel Inspiron 7786 with the following:Processor:  Intel(R) Core(TM) i7-8565U CPU @ 1.80GHz 1.99 GHzRAM: 16.0 GB (15.8 GB usable)64-bit operating system, x64-based processorWindows: Windows 10 ProVersion:  20H2OS Build:  19042.906Experience: Windows Feature Experience Pack 120.2212.551.0 

Whenever I render my scene, the final product has large transparent holes in the png. I am using the most recent version of Dimension and my operating system is up to date.  

I was trying out the BETA Publish feature in Dimensions. Here is my test file: view-source:https://assets.adobe.com/id/urn:aaid:sc:US:440c236d-e93a-4b2a-9657-aafd2d3e2aca?view=dimension I discovered the Share feature for grabbing code to serve it up on my own website page in an iFrame. Wonderful, but I'm looking for more. How can I move that file to my server and serve it up in a webpage within Wordpress? I don't want the actual file on Adobe Cloud being called, I want it called, linked or whatever you want to call it on my own website.  I hope that makes sense.

For a while, Dimension worked smoothly for me but recently it continues to crash unexpectedly when moving around in the file and when adding in more objects/details. A popup appears first (A problem caused the application to stop working correctly), then is unresponsive, I then have to close the window and try to open it again, and then it continues to do the same thing, an endless cycle of crashing, opening, crashing again. Tried to uninstall the app and reinstall it, even reinstalled current macOS but the problem persists. Everything else works fine on the computer, it's just Dimension. Please advise on how this can be fixed.

 everything else works fine on my computer, no issues with any 3d applications such as video games or other adobe products!! whats going on!my current guess has something to do with the Nvidia control pannel since I recently was messing around with it.  

Wondering if Adobe offers a product(s) that allows for real-time rendering and visualization of products in 3D? I've heard of companies leveraging Scene7 for this in the past, however, I'm having trouble finding anything relevant for that now... Apologies in advance if this is not the correct forum for this type of post. Thanks,Nick

I've been working on a fairly complicated scene and Dimension takes an extremely long time to load, eventually reaches 100% and then promptly crashes with a message saying "Application needs to be restarted" or something along those lines and mentions to reference the log file. I can't quite see anything obvious in the log file? I'm not quite sure what's happening because I was opening the file just fine, closed it and now it's happening every time I try to open it. I wish I could revert back to a previous version or something if it's something wrong in the file, but I don't think that's possible!

Hello, I have some experience in 3D modelling with Rhinoceros anche Vray, but not with Dimension, I was wondering if is possibile to create a 3d environment, such a complete office, and make it interactive as the user can walk inside and explore it. I'm pretty sure that AD is not the proper software, I found suggestions about Unity and Blender, just looking for confirmation 🙂If it is possibile, otherwise, I'd like to understand what are system requirements needed, and how difficult can be, depending from importing assets or designing them. Thanks!

Hi, I wanted to know if theres a way i can save and create a 3D video scene of my 3D model concept; i want to know as it would look good for my portfolio and for my business related customers. If Dimension cant do it, are there any other Adobe related softwares that i can imported my Dimension files and save as a 3D video scene. Thank you

In my 25 years creating with ADOBE , I do not expect in 2021 for software to continuously fail at its most essential core for the important task of outputting and saving work. I will not entertain thoughts for improvement or troubleshooting on this particular application. Adobe Dimension is a monumental failure in every shape and form. It is attempting to do too much and yet it does nothing at all.

Hi. I see that adobe dimension has got something similar to layers in illustrator or photoshop. Every component can be in its own 3D layer inside the "SCENE" window. By any chance, can I export the render in the same layer format in photoshop or illustrator? The idea is to take a render, from a certain angle, generate the PSD not as all merged into one layer, but as separate layers, just as I created it in Dimension. This can save me hours of work, if possible. 

First time using Adobe Dimension — really wanting this to be a reliable tool for creating custom mockups, but pretty disappointed so far. I'll assume that the fault is on my end since I'm a beginner. In the attached images, you can see that my PNG image is immediately corrupted during the place function, and then remains corrupted after I've committed the place. Weirdly, the image on the main panel did not corrupt, even though they were both PNGs that were exported from the same Ai file at the same relative scale.Could it have anything to do with how I built the file? I created the front panel by extruding a line in the shape of the bag contour, but created the side gusset by extruding a solid shape by just .5mm (watched many tutorials, but didn't find the "correct" way to do this if different). 

Hey there! Longtime PS, Lightroom, Premiere and Dreamweaver user, but now I am being tasked with a new challenge. We have two options for creating a tutorial - 3D modeling, or video. The video I can do, but it involves a crew, a space, tools, editing after, etc. So the challenge here is:Build the objects in 3D (ie, pieces of a desk)Put the 3D objects into some kind of timeline animation (Animate?)Move the 3D objects through perceived screen space to demonstrate how to "build" the deskPut mouseover or click triggers to pop up notes of importance (ie, "make sure the parts are square!)Export into an animated format to use in a learning management system. Bonus - Create a second version that requires the user to click and drag the 3D elements into place to "Build" the desk themselves, as a test. Is this possible with Dimension + Animate, assuming functional knowledge of both tools? Will I need a 3rd tool for the interactivity portion?  Thank you in advance for any tips,

Anyone do this? How do you insure the applied materials are high enough resolution for let's say 300ppi/dpi printing?I can select various resolutions for Substance material but what is a 4096px resolution mean? at what dimensions?I know I can set the scene/canvas size, but what about the materials? Isn't like a photo scanned at specific size @a fixed dimension? and if you resize the photo the res changes? the material has to be a fixed size at a set ppi...so if it is applied to 12" sphere isnt the res different if applied to 2inch sphere?

Hi, I designed the bottle in Shapr3d on the ipad. Exporting as STL and importing in Adobe Dimension works perfectly.But I am not really satisfied with the rendering.First question: What is best practice for objects like a smoothie bottle (this fruit veggie juice), do I need to design two bodies, one for the bottle, one for the liquid. I tried that but it does not really work. Second question: What is the best material for a smoothie liquid, I tried glass that looks OK, also water but all not really. Any tips?ThanksTristan

I bought Dimension recently and I installed it. But the Axes cannot exist with my program. How can I solve this problem? I reinstalled it twice already, but it doesn't work.... please help me.

Hi there,I wanted to get a look at Adobe Dimension, but the program don't start correct.I get the welcome screen and afterwards the window is empty. Sometimes part of text and buttons appear.I tried every version, and they're all with the same problem.2.3.1 doesn't go further then the welcome screen.Does anyone know what this could be and how to solve it.Thanks, Michael
