Dreamweaver

Hi there,I've been given this html file that is for an email campaign that is being sent out via Campaign Monitor, however when I send a test to my Outlook a section of the text is being cut off and I cannot work out how to fix this.The text sections is in multiline tags, which had previously worked in the older versions of Outlook but not in 2016. I appreciate any help.Thanks!

I maybe using the wrong terms.  In DW CS4; I would like to send the DW site I made as a Draft without using a host.  Is there a way to send to a local server (my hard drive); send file out and the viewer able to see the end product of the site WITHOUT being able to see the code?Than ks in advance !!

I've been using Dreamweaver for many years, but hadn't started it in a few days. Now when I start it, before the splash screen goes away, Windows tells me that it has "stopped working". The event log says that dreamweaver.exe got an access violation (code 5). I tried uninstalling and reinstalling, installing the 2017 version, deleting the cache folders under AppData, rebooting, nothing helped (the 2017 version also dies in the same way.)Earlier posts about this problem refer to a Lavasoft software, but I don't have that.I am running Windows 10 Fall Creators' Update with all Windows Updates applied. My video card is an NVidia 1050 with the latest driver. Photoshop CC works fine.Thanks for any advice.Steve

Is anyone else seeing problems working with large numbers of open files in Dreamweaver CC 2018? I had about 50 files open (all in code view) so that I could do some bulk changes. Some of the changes took. Some didn't. The files appeared to be changed, but when I reopened them the files were in a mixed state of saved and unsaved states.I don't have this problem when using DW CC 2015. I gave up on 2017. I'm thinking that, in combination with the interface "improvements" that make it hard to keep track of my cursor in code view, I ought to write 2018 off as well. Mike

Hi, I want to create a modified forums and then some but I want to know the technicality of how it can be created.  It won’t be like a regular forums template you find anywhere so this will make me have to code on dreamweaver (or on muse).  Before telling me where to find these php which program is easier and faster to complete on, dreamweaver or muse.  I just know how to code html and css well. Like on the “create post” page instead of having one text box, I would have multiple tabs for it.  Then the thread would also have multiple tabs.  So it has to be “custom” made

Hi. Recently came back to DW for coding and I'm so very pleasantly surprised. New functionality, Emmet functionality, super! But have one issue in Emmet... while "tab" expands HTML abbreviations correctly for me, what I'm used to from other code editors is then being able to tab in between tag wrappers so I can easily jump from <li> to <li> for example. But in my case tab is expanding my first content into a tag for that content, instead of going say from <li> to <li>. Is there a setting for this behavior or a temporary disable of tab expansion? Example: ul>li*5 expands correctly into:<ul>   <li>[cursor defaults to here]</li>   <li></li>   <li></li>   <li></li>   <li></li></ul>and puts my cursor at the first <li>. But say I enter<li>Element1[cursor is now here]</li>And then tab... instead of the cursor moving to the next

I am trying to link an excel spreadsheet (magazine index) to a web page so that users just see the link and not the whole spreadsheet until they click on it. They need to be able to sort and filter the information and crucially the spreadsheet needs to be accessible to an on site search engine Freefind. I have tried copying the spreadsheet (xlsx format) to our website and then creating a link from the appropriate web page and this seems to display well but  the spreadsheet doesn't feature in the search engine or in SEO tool Screaming Frog. The search engine says that the page header is Content-Type: text/plain. On advice I have tried to correct this in the .htaccess file on the website using -AddType application/vnd.openxmlformats-officedocument.spreadsheetml.sheet - but this just seems to corrupt the whole website. There is a good old asset panel in Dreamweaver, I can insert images, scripts, color as such just by drag & drop from panel. Now I am working on CC2018 ver. and trying to do same task, but dreamweaver gives me a full path from drive root when inserting image.I've already set local site folder and default image folder in site management panel.How can I fix the path to relative to working file(or site root), not a path of my drive!, or is this supposed to be like that?

Hi,I am not computer savvy and I used Dreamweaver 8 a long time back and I think I can handle it. Is there a way to download Dreamweaver 8 without losing a leg and an arm...:)

A page made with the helpful tips from this tutorial does not show the 'phone view' (breakpoint 768 px). Even the demofiles (index and css in the 'completed folder' shows tablet view on a iPhone 6.Do I have to change the breakpoint settings??Thanks in advance!Martien Yland

I've been using dreamweaver for only a few months. My carousel on my index page was working fine until I moved some of my files around so that they would all be in the same folder. Now my carousel won't work at all, I've tried deleting the old carousel and adding a new one, I tried to delete my old file of bootstrap and add a new one... nothing worked. The only thing different between my code for the old carousel that worked and my new code that doesn't work is that this bootstrap has 3.3.7 in the name... could this be my problem? I know this may not be the right place to ask this question but I know this community is visited by lot of developers from around the globe. I want to ask you guys what laptop do you use for your programming requirements. I have a PC where most of my coding takes place but I need a laptop to code when I am travelling to different places. I had a MacBook Pro 2011 which died last week so now I am finding a good laptop that lasts for at least 3 years. I will be installing Linux on my machine so I am also open to buy Windows machines. Hi everybody;I installed Dreamweaver cc 2018 recently & find out that in address -> Preferences/Code-format there is an option called "Tag Library", & in this library There is collection of ASP.net controls. so logically it must be able to have full intellisense(the word mwe use in visual stuido & I dont know what is equal in adoe products) asp.net controls(with their property) in dream weaver. but When i try to add for example `<asp:Button ID="btn1" runat="server" />`  I must write it all by my hand and there is no intellisensce that help me by guessing or auto completing my control declaring.I have set the "used in" property for Html,Xml,Html Template,ASP JavaScript, ASP VBScript, ColdFusion, ColdFusion Component, JSP, ASP.Net VB, ASP.Net C#, VBScript, C#, VB & Text to Make it sure that it will apply in my code. but it doesnt effected in my ASP.Net Project.Now the main Question is : How to make it work in Dreamweaver CC Since it exist in app Core.by the

Frustratingly, this is the fourth time in two weeks that I have had to uninstall and re-install Dreamweaver 2018.  When I close the site, complete with all the coding and CSS completed. I save it in Save, save all related files etc. It should be ready for further work next morning. You would think. But no. When Dw opens it lists HTML files, (Not site names?) which when clicked reports that the files cannot be found - in the last couple of instances I had a site opening with the header graphics in place, nav in place, the DOM listing all items and viewable in Chrome but the Source page (HTML Code)  or Split view page is blank beneath the header & nav, there is only a white area where my coding of yesterday should be showing. Another issue is that when I create a desktop folder and put in my SVG, jpegs etc they are not recognized as belonging to the site when I try to insert them.This is not an encouraging start for my learning of this program.I am typing this while I once

I have about 10 site folders defined on my primary hard drive.  I was working in one of them yesterday. When I launched DW 2018 this morning, that site was missing from my Files Panel & Manage Sites definitions.  That's never happened to me before.All is not lost.  The folder is on my hard drive and it correctly populates in DW 2017.  So I am exporting my .ste from 2017 and importing into 2018.  Weird huh?Nancy

I would like to thank Osgood and Nancy O'Shea for help with sizing images in a Bootstrap carousel. I marked the question "answered".For a novice like me a Bootstrap carousel has a great appeal - it's a free, one-click operation. I just wish there were more documentation/guidance that came along with it.For example - Bootstrap creates an ID "carousel1" and three classes "carousel-inner", "item-active", and "center-block". After trial and error I found that the only class which lent itself to CSS styling of the images was "center-block". By setting the width to "100%" and max-height to "auto", I am getting pretty good results. Obviously if you can crop all the images the same, you can avoid surprises.Kevin
