After Googling various options, it appears the Javascript one might be the easiest for the average web designer.It's described in a brief blurb at the bottom of the following page :Website Creator | Avoiding Spam When Posting an Email Addr... How reliable is this method in 2017?I don't need full-proof, I just don't want to wind up with 100 spam emails a day within a week, which is what happens every time I don't take any steps to make it harder for the bots.

I came across this Brackets extension yesterday, and after a few hours playing I found that for those wanting a more visual method of doing html and css layouts that is visually better than the current Dw css designer/live edit options, (with visual html thrown in), but is also not as none coder or designer orientated as Muse, and is I think worth a look at for anyone interested.https://github.com/swmitra/html-designerI know much of what is incorporated into this extension has been discussed in this and other forums, and nothing actually new is introduced, but it does show a direction I would consider to be worthwhile for Dw, (if it is not going to be a full IDE) especially for those not wishing to become full coders, and wanting more freedom in what is possible than Muse currently offers.Thoughts anyone?
I noticed awhile back that Dreamweaver has started altering the tracking codes in my URLs. Original version?utm_medium=email&utm_source=source&utm_campaign=NAMEWhat Dreamweaver does?utm_medium=email&utm_source=source&utm_campaign=NAMEThis only happens after pasting it back into Dreamweaver from our marketing automation program. I tested it and the links are correct in the Marketing Automation program but wrong immediately after pasting into Dreamweaver.I've unchecked Enable Linting. I've turned off code rewriting & have Do not encode special characters in URL encoding checked. Am I missing something else? Can anyone help on this?
So , I use A "what you see is what you get" software to design my sites and then I export index.html file to my desktop. I then open the file with Dreamweaver and tweak it just a little bit with what little HTML I know and then FTP it to my public_html folder. My question is this....how do I use DW to create the mobile friendly site and where do I put it on the server?website in question: www.trinityaerialservices.comsomehow some files are there when I look at it on my phone, but it's a little different and I am not sure where "there" is.T/YMike
How do I get my Dreamweaver CC App to open? I've tried a host of different things and have gotten it to open after fussing with it a lot but none of the solutions stick. Every time I shut the program down, it doesn't let me open it again without running into problems over and over.
HiI have recently started using Bootstrap and until yesterday I could 'Insert > Bootstrap Components' and have a list of Bootstrap Components to insert into my document?Now for some reason, the options for Bootstrap Components are not showing? All of the other areas show options?I have changed nothing that I can remember doing, why have these options disappeared?ThanksBatch
I've installed DW cc 2017 trial version. I get "The extension can't be installed, it requires Dreamwever 13 or greater". When trying to install JSPSupport_1_0_2.zxp.Could this be because of some kind of restriction on a trial version? Because the DW is greater than 13.
Hi,I have a large XML file containing many instances of a specific tag I am looking for.Everything else needs to be deleted.Using the Find/Replace feature, is there a way I could single out that tag and delete the rest?For example, all instances of <iwantthistag>This is the text I want</iwantthistag> would be kept; everything else would be deleted.If it matters, I am using DreamWeaver 8.Thanks!
started dreamweaver today for the first time in months and all my site definitiions are gone. previously DW would download these from the cloud. I cant find anywhere to do this. where are they?
When using find and replace in Dreamweaver I get an error saying the site is not defined. Anyone know what I'm doing wrong? All I wanted to do was replace URL's in <a> tags.
Hello, apologies if this has been answered already but I couldn't find anything that seemed to relate.I installed adobe cc yesterday - having no problems with resolution with all other applications but when using Dreamweaver, the taskbars and screen content all seem to be far more pixilated compared to the others. Is there a fix for this?Thank you

So I am not claiming to even be a novice at HTML, which is why I use a software that I basically point and click with (Xara), adding text, hyperlinks, images, etc. After I am satisfied, I export the index.htm and then open the file in DW CC, make a few minor adjustments (ie; changing page title and adding a scrolling line of text). Preview looks great. I save it again and upload it. I am getting to where I am going to pull my hair out. There's no formatting at all. No images either. I run a club, I wanted to make a fancy email newsletter. Through some research I found adobe Dreamweaver has a responsive email template. I have used Dreamweaver before (a bit) but it was really difficult to get the template the way I wanted it. When I was done and ready to add it to an email and send it I realized... there is literally no easy way to do this. Apparently all mail servers use different types of coding for how they look at html so like gmail is different from mobile me, yahoo is different from Hotmail etc. So even if I could get it into an email client and send it it would look right. I ended up having to host a website and send people links. Previous forums I looked at suggested to just give up on adobe all together and use clients like mail-chimp. So my question is, are responsive email templates in Dreamweaver really pointless? Hi,Is it just me (could very well be) or is the way of handling SCSS processing in Dreamweaver cc buggy and not really workable? All i have done so far is managed to lose time. Is there an easy / simple way to make Dreamweaver stop rewriting my code?I have an input, it looks like this:<cfinput type="text" id="txtIID" name="txtIID" value="#txtIID#" class="form-control" disabled="#isDisabled#">The file saves fine as is with that proper format, but when I close the file and open it back up again, Dreamweaver rewrites that input to look like this:<cfinput type="text" id="txtIID" name="txtIID" value="#txtIID#" class="form-control" disabled>This might not be an issue if I had just the one. I could probably rewrite it by hand each time. Unfortunately there are about 4 dozen inputs on the page.I've already looked into Dreamweaver's Preferences/ Code rewriting and Linting options and those don't seem to have an affect upon this issue.Is there somewhere else I should be looking to turn off this behavior?
This just started happening yesterday. I tried the "fix" suggested here but it doesn't work, unless I have done it incorrectly, which is possible. I have uninstalled and reinstalled several times and nothing is working. When I click on OK it just closes down.

I just updated a site that I have had online for years. Now for some reason the images, style sheet, etc now show a path to my local computer rather to the files uploaded to the webhosting. The only thing showing is the basic html text. All these files show today's date in the uploaded files.Could I have accidentally clicked on something either in Dreamweaver or File Zilla that redirected the path?This is rather urgent, I really need to fix the issue.
