I am looking for some general advice about which Adobe product would be best for my project. I've used Adobe for years and and know there must be an easy way to accomplish my goals using one of the tools- I'm hoping someone with experience can give me some tips.I'm trying to build an interactive video with chapters. Not timeline markers, but actual graphic chapters visible to the left of the video. Do I take the coding route with Dreamweaver or muse or something, or does Captivate offer this ability (not part of creative cloud I realize). I considered using Animate but don't think it can handle the video as well, and it seems that Premier does not offer this ability. Looking for any ideas about the best way to approach this. Thanks!
Hi, we created a mobile-ready eDM, when we sent to our sales, it looks correct, but once the sales forward to their customers through Outlook, it looks way different from what the original looks like. I Googled on-line, Mailchimp mentioned to create a "Forward to a friend" link instead to using Outlook. It that correct? Is there any other solutions besides signing up Mailchimp?
Hi i've recentlu updated my website wedding-cars-glasgow.com using my old dreamweaver cs3 but I'm unsure if I can use code to make it mobile friendly (i haven't built a site in years so I'm not uotodate with mobile friendly creation) I've not got the money to pay a developer a monthy charge to update it for me, is there a site where I could learn to do this for myself just as a one off to make my site mobile friendlythanks Alice
I keep getting the same error repeatedly and I can't figure out what the problem is. For each of these entries I get the same error, saying that special characters must be escaped, and showing a tag open symbol, but I have no extra open tags that I can see. I need a fresh pair of eyes. The error on line 287 is the same, but it shows the closing tag as being the issue.Can anyone spot the trouble?
MB ProOS 10.12xDreamweaver CC 2017Opened legacy site, CS6, via open in CC 2017 and re-saving. (All seems well although the many changes prompts relearning what I thought I knew.)However, I have noticed a very faint read through of the responsive grid columns showing through a background image, and have not found a way to simply change view. Is there a way to negate that, or should I reimport the site using a different method, other than just a simple open the CS6 site using DW CC?Thank You,JSatt

The mobile version of the bootstrap navbar opens but won't collapse when I hit the toggle button. Seems none of the Bootstrap collapsibles close the way it should. I'm using bootstrap version 3.3.7 for all the pages. Trying to conect my Dreamweaver with Wordpress. I am using MAMP. The Wordpress site is setup and works locally. I created a "new site" in Dreamweaver, named my site, showed where my wordpress site was located. Then in Servers i created a new "Testing server" with the correct URL, and folder location in my Htdocs. In advanced I have the PHP and MySQL selected. after this I saved and I was done. Opened my Index.php in the root folder. I could see my site but "dynamically related files could not be resolved". So i tried the Index.php that was in my theme Folder, still "dynamically related files could not be resolved". Not sure if I missed a step but I cant seem to find any answer as to what I need to do to resolve this.
Hi there! I'm using Dreamweaver CC, v2017.5 at the latest update. I used to be able to find/replace a string within a selection---select PART of a page, hit ⌘F, put my search string in the top field and my replace string in the field below it, and Replace-all---which would conduct the search and replace JUST within the area that I had selected. I cannot locate that function now. It's not in the dropdown:It is not in one of the submenus of one of those, either, that I can find. Is it gone forever?
Hi,I am using bootstrap yet i cannot see glyphicons from GLYPHICONS.com e.g.: <div class="myPanel-heading">products <span class="glyphicon glyphicons-pictures" aria-hidden="true"></span></div>is this included in dw bootstrap or were glyphicons removed?
When I double click a php variable to highlight it and copy ad paste the '$' part of the variable does not get selected, so the paste creates an error. I had the same problem in the version before 2017 but they fixed it in 2017 and now it's back. Even when clicking and dragging my cursor over a variable name often the '$' does not get selected. Is this a bug?
I have installed the Adobe Server behaviour extension with CC. I am using third party extensions for mysqli. When I go to bindings panel it show my recordsets and I can use the recordsets from that panel. When I try to use the bindings in a third party extension they are pop up boxes are disabled as seen in the photo below. Any elp would be appreciated.

I've figured out how to sort by item type (grouping folders, files) and to get the files list at top instead of the folders, but this sort forces the lists into descending order. (See screen grab.) Has anyone figured out how to sort alphabetically after first sorting by type?Thanks,Nick

The last version of Dreamweaver (2017) is the worst of ever and change a lot of things respect to the last stable version (2015 or even better... CS6).I think it's time to close Dreamweaver project and rename the 2017 version with the its correct name:"Muse Editor"Maybe you could alert old customers with this message:"End of an EraThe legendary Dreamweaver is no more...Adobe shut down the software and replace it with Muse Editor"In this way should be more easy understand the limitations and the bugs with 2017 version development.
Hello -I've searched across multiple forums for a solution to this issue, but was unable to come across anything.I am using Dreamweaver CC 2017 and I'm attempting to apply code formatting. I've discovered that including the doctype html declaration tag in the HTML file messes with the formatting rules, specifically with closing tags. I've already reviewed my code formatting settings, and they are as they should be.In example 1 below, the formatting is working properly. In example 2, the closing tags are not aligning with the opening tags properly (this is the issue I'm having; assume ... is the code within head tags).Example 1:<div id="container"> <p>My content goes here.</p></divExample 2:<!doctype html>...<div id="container"> <p>My content goes here.</p> </div>Notice how the div tags don't align vertically? I am using Dreamweaver CC. I embed jalbum slideshows into my website to display my images. I have been using iframe. The jalbum developers tell me that I should not use iframe for many reasons. What CSS selector should I replace iframe with. I need to have dynamic content resizing when viewing my website on a smartphone or tablet.Thank you in advance for your helpJim

Hallo Community!Ich habe seit Monaten Problem mit Dreamweaver CC (2017) -> davor die Vorgängerversion.System: OSX El Capitan (derzeit Version 10.11.5) auf iMac Retina 27" 5K, i7, Fusion Drive, 32GB RamDreamweaver stürzt ständig ab (drehendes Rädchen), so dass ich über den Befehl "Sofort beenden" das Programm beenden muss.Dabei ist es egal, ob ich Code in einer php-Datei ändere, via FTP etwas auf den Server lade o.ä.Diverse Update, sowohl beim Betriebsystem, als auch des Dreamweavers, bzw. aller CC-Programme schafft keine Abhilfe.Ich habe Dreamweaver auch schon manuell deainstalliert und wieder neu installiert.Alle anderen CC-Programme laufen einwandfrei!Kann jemand helfen?Beste Grüße,Markus
