Dreamweaver 21.3, build 15593macOS 12.6iMac (2017) Retina 5k Git is set up and functioning normally with Dreamweaver. After a commit/push, a box is instantiated that reports the results of the git operation. The title of the box is "Git Response". At times this box is not frontmost in the application, in which case the application appears to be unresponsive for no reason. The box has no controls that allow it to be closed: no macOS decoration ("red/yellow/green buttons"). The Window menu has as the last option the text "(No open documents)" and may of the other actions are grayed out, as this appears to be a modal dialog. There is an "OK" button in the box, when clicked the box remains but content is cleared (the headings remain):The main window remains but while some UI elements are operational (such as drag-scrolling), text cannot be selected, no other menu options that operate on the content will work, and right-click actions are disable
This concerns Dreamweaver v 23.1 on Windows 10. I just installed Windows latest update yesterday. A description of the problem is below. To replicate--set up a remote server using SFTP-use private key authentication-enter the correct user name-enter the correct password-select the correct private key file-attempt to put files to the server or to connect to the serverExpected result is a connection to the server (has worked for years using same info). Actual result is an FTP error "cannot make connection to the host. Your login or password is incorrect. Please check your connection information". Starting today, after updating to the newest version of Dreamweaver, on Windows 10, I am getting an FTP error when I try to connect by SFTP to my remote web server. It tells me that my password and login are incorrect. This is not the case. My login credentials and my private key are correct. My private key is stored on my E drive. It is a .pem key that has worked for years. I h

When Coding emails - Dreamweaver is great with code-live as you click a section in the email it will jump to the relevant section in the code!!However, if the part of the live section you happen to click is a url - I think it tries to open the link, all I get is a big White space, the only way to resolve this is switching to a code-design mode - then switching backcan I turn off external URLs?? Is there a back button??Please help as each time I have to do this it takes a good few minutes to undo....
At first I thought it was me, but after several years of this happening through several different versions of Dreamweaver, I think I'm ready to officially call this a bug, and a really weird one. In certain long, complicated files consisting of a mix of html and coldfusion tags, I've found that consistantly, every time I open the file, there is a </cfloop> and a </cfoutput> tag that spontaneously switch places. The correct order is <cfoutput><cfloop>code here</cfloop></cfoutput> but when I open the page, before I even edit anything, dreamweaver has swapped it to <cfoutput><cfloop>code here</cfoutput></cfloop> which then throws an error if I save the page and don't notice and fix the change. There are many other cfoutput/cfloop combos on this same page, so I don't know why the ones around line 644 have developed this maddening habit, and I don't know if there is a fix, but I just wanted to put this out there in
After the push on GIT Panel dreamweaver crash (or freeze). I found some reference online and the only way to avoid this problem (related to a timeout) is to move mouse during the git push operation (it really solve but it's really uncomfortable)-
I've seen mutliple threads on this topic and have followed every instruction such as redownloading dreamweaver and restarting my computer and clearing preferences and it is only a short term solution. When I boot up my computer the next time, this glitch happens again. Everytime I create a document, HTML or CSS, right after I save I cannot see the code. I know the code is still there it just disappears from my view. I save and then it goes black. I've tried absolutley anthing and I cannot afford to reinstall Dreamweaver everytime I need to use it, it is ridiculous. My Dreamweaver is up to date and everything.
Somewhat irritating bug involving having a crash after switching to other applications. Going to and from my ssh session (or any other app) with the server im trying to connect to and dreamweaver causes a lockup that ends in having to start over. Thankfully i havent even started tampering with files yet so at least theres that. Is there a solution to this? It hasnt happened before. this is only my third site. I'm not sure but i think dreamweaver should support as many sites as i have space for ony my drive..
I have update my macos to the 13.0 and my Dreamweaver open file have some issue, when I open the second file the first one will change to the second one file, when I open the third file the first and second will chang to the third one, I have reinstall Dreamweaver and Cloud Creative, but none of them worked. anyone know what happend on my Dreamweaver?
Hi there. This isn't a bug but just a little irrataing issue in your page coding. At the bottom right of DW there is a little green tick icon with the tag 'No errors'.When there is a code problem this changes to a red cross.Click on it when it's red and you get a page showing the code violation. Click on it again and the page closes. Unfortunately, when you fix the code violation and it changes to green, due to the fix, clicking on the green icon does nothing. Can I ask that this little bug be changed, so clicking on it when it goes to green closes the fault page.It would make life just that little bit easier.Having to open the 3 horizontal lines and select Close Tag Group each time is a tad annoying. Cheers, Jon.
Hi, The Site Search for the latest version (21.2, Mac OS 12.4) stops working unexpectedly and often (I have too much work to do to try identifying which circumstances cause this). This happens multiple times on a daily basis, as part of normal development work, to the point where I decided to post this. (Since I barely used it last year I can't say whether it was a problem with a previous version) I would start being able to use the shortcut Ctrl+Shift+F on a set of folders to retrieve search results, but at some point after editing files etc, performing another search would bring up the dialog box, but do nothing at all when I click on 'Find All'. It doesn't matter which folders/files are selected in the Files window. Thus far, the only workaround I've found that seems to consistently 'reset' Dreamweaver (without quitting and reopening it) is to open a random file for viewing; then I am able to use the search shortcut again. Dreamweaver appears to end up in some interna
The issue I keep having is that whenever I try to create a new PHP file and begin working on it, Dreamweaver is still interacting with the server in the background, which prevents me from managing my sites and closing out the Dreamweaver program. I have to restart my computer each time I get the message that Dreamweaver is still interacting with the server to close the Dreamweaver program. The server I am using is Apache on the Xammp control panel and I am working on a local server. The current version I am working on is 21.3 on a Surface Pro 7 with windows 11. This what show up when Dreamweaver is trying to interact with the server: The blue bar will not go away and is what makes me have to start my computer every time it happens This is the message that I keep getting: I would really appreciate it if someone would be able to help me with this issue as I a huge fan of Adobe's software and would really be sad if I had to switch to a different IDE for Web Development

Hello, When i try to edit or add a new server the action buttons (pencil and +) do nothing. I need to edit a server and i cannot do it.Can you please tell me if there is a workaround? Thanks in advance
When editing an existing HTML document, Dreamweaver posts "Couldn't commit the changes made in Live View. Refresh the Live View and try editing again." It them moves everything edited/entered into the page to the beginning of the document body. This essentially makes the software unusable.
I cannot ALWAYS replicate this - but it seems that after several hours of use the syntax error checker starts to get buggy. When the issue is happening, I might accidentally click the carriage return (Enter) button on my keyboard BEFORE typing the final semi-colon at the end of a variable declaration line. This should correctly trigger the Syntax Error. However, after backspacing or Ctrl+Z (Undo) to add the missing semi-colon, the syntax error never goes away.Sometime I can get the error to clear itself and display as Valid with the green checkmark by deleting the semi-colon and retyping it again. This is SOO annoying to work around because I will want to verify that there are no bugs, but cannot trust the error output.Thank you for addressing this issue.FYI - I am typing in PHP in a PHP file while encountering this issue.
While using Dreamweaver in split View (live or design) the code editor goes completely black after about 30/45mins of normal use. I cannot see any of my code in split view! When I try to change it to code view it shows a a completely black panel or distorted via of the web page. Changing it back to split view removes the panel completely. This has happened 3 times in the last 24hrs, but never before. The only thing that fixes it is quiting Dreamweaver and relaunching. I am using macOS Monterey 12.3.1 * I will upload a picture/screen recording the next time it happens.
When viewing the Local Files list in DW, the favicon.ico file previews the icon to the left of the file name. This preview/icon is often from a previously opened Site, and not the current Site. It is as if the icon cache was not updated, and showing from a previous session. This has been happening for 5 years at least. Closing DW with the current Site selected, then reopening seems to load the correct icon.
Dreamweaver 2021 trys to open and immediately quits on my Mac Pro (late 2013) using Big Sur 11.6.1. I uninstalled Dreamweaver 2021 and reinstalled it and restarted my Mac. It still trys to open, but immediately quits. I have submitted reports.
Dreamweaver Version: 21.2OS : Windows 10 Pro 21H1 Steps to Reproduce: Use the "replace all" button on find & replace (where multiple replace operations will happen)Expected Result: Document scroll position should be unaffectedActual Result: Document scrolls to the position of the last replace operation, meaning you have to manually scroll back to find where you were working. Ruins productivity if using "replace all" frequently, i.e. when refactoring code.
Dreamweaver under Mac 12.4 (M1 Max chip), I have problems with input when I code. The input stops and I have to click again on my input page to resume my work. Do you have a solution?
