Dreamweaver

Very basic problem: I have many, many sites in the site-manager of dreamweaver. Is there a posibility to group the sites into customer-folders or groups? Do anybody know?THX - Ralph

I've got a client who's website was built by a previous web designer and they pay me monthly for maintenance.  To make it easier, we transferred all of the Dreamweaver files from her computer to mine.  She has no idea what her FTP information is so I can upload her website to her hosting site from my computer.  Where would I find this information in her CS6 version of Dreamweaver and how do I add it into my CC 2019 version?  I'm new to Dreamweaver.  I mostly work with HTML and CSS.

I have a very large site and also use CS6 or CC but both have the same issue. I have a folder called imagedat with a subfolder of thumb. Customer uploads image to imagedat and smaller image to thumb. Problem is under dreamweaver either remote OR testing I cannot see the thumb folder??If I login to my hosting account and use the cpanel file manager it shows in file manager just fine, al images etc.Only under dreamweaver is it not there?This is a php site and I did set that type in my original setup.Any help would be appreciated.Thanks in advancePhil

I exported all my Snippets from my old computer to a thumbdrive.  With Adobe CS6 you used to, via an import/export extension, to import your snippets into the Snippets folder.  Is there such an extension in Adobe CC?

It's no great tragedy to me personally.  I don't use their platform & try to steer clear of anything FB-related (to the extent that one can). Just the same,  I can't help but wonder what's going on...   Is this an inside job?  What are the deeper implications of this hack?  

Using version 5.5 and having crashing lock up issues wanted to find a newer version and completely locked out of dreamweaver with 1000's of projects built on this machine...organized etc..just want to download CS6 version for dreamweaveror or a newer version that works with mac 10.11.6please relay any security issues as well.thanks for your help

One strange bug after I tried the latest dreamweaver... I switched from CS3 to CC.. Some images are not showing in design view in but they show in remote view. Most files are fine. It's only a small number of files. Why would this be happening?

Hello, I am taking a web development class in school and have connected my website to Dreamweaver. Everything works as it should if I open the web page from my files. However, if I go to my website and click on what should be a link to another page on my site, nothing happens. Basically, only the home page works for me. If I click on links to other pages on my site, they don't work. Yet, they work when I open the .html files from my computer. Does anyone know how to fix this? Thank you!

I have been a DW user for years. Probably the only paying customer in this country. I had to make a fresh install of DW and am forced to use the latest. What a disaster. The includes do not work the way their supposed to. Design view doesnt work at all. Just frustration after frustration. I am really dissappointed. Please understand Adobe that your products are being used for working people. I have years of content built with DW and now i simply just cannot work the way i want because your upgrade is a downgrade. I want my old version DW back but you provide no options to do this... Really really poor service.

Dreamweaver is crashing on startup - if there is any mouse activity before a file completely loads, the program crashes. For instance, Dreamweaver is open, I open an html file with Dreamweaver, and the files typically take a good 30 seconds or so to fully load and become workable. During this time, if I click while Dreamweaver is the active program, it will crash. Every time without exception. This also happens if Dreamweaver is in the background opening a file - for instance, if I tell a file to open with dreamweaver and in the interim, I switch to say Outlook deal with email - if Dreamweaver happens to open the file and automatically become the active program, any typing or clicking that I may have been doing in Outlook (or insert program here) is suddenly happening in Dreamweaver because it auto activates. So, any mouse interaction while Dreamweaver is loading causes a crash. Surely this isn't working as intended. When I click "send report", I get a message that state

I used the product a few years ago to get out website up and running. I have not updated it in years and changed laptops so I had to re-install everything, and when I am trying to reconnect the site it tells me it is getting an FTP error cannot make connection with the host. Not sure how to get the new installation of Dreamweaver cs6 to connect with my remote server which has the website on it in order to make changes to the pages.

So I had the find and replace up and noticed that the close button on the window has been disabled on the Mac version (should be in the top left).  I'm not sure if my version that needs to be reset, or whether this is a bug either in the Mac version of DW, or something that has recently come up in Big Sur that I've overlooked. Can anyone confirm that this window's close button is disabled on Mac for them as well?  

Live view is not updating css styles. If I add html content that will add but the styles applied will not. Seems to have just appeared out of nowhere. If I close dreamweaver with new changes and reopen the styles apply after the relaunch of the program. I've been on Dreamweaver 21.1 Build 15413 for a while now.MacOS Big Sur 11.5.1 I have restarted my computer, reset prefrences for Dreamweaver, and a PRAM rest with no luck yet.

How can I get my newly uploaded files to load quicker and more reliably?     Often they take days to appear on the Net, and I keep on having to clear my browser history and caches, recreate the Dreamweaversite cache, synchronize my site files in Dreamwaverand re-uploading individual files in Dreamweaver and restarting my Macintosh computer to try to upload my files quicker.  It's frustrating.   I called my ISP.  I asked the technician there is I should get a VP server service from my ISP instead of renting 'shared hosting', but instead he He told me that my updated files are visible to others, but not to me, because of my use of framesets.  He opined that my site structure (using framesets and HTML 4 – are obsolete – and that I should redo the site from scratch in another program such as Wordpress.     Redoing my Web site would be an enormous job which could take me three or four months of more, because I have such a huge site – with about 1,100

Hello,I use to be able to open a folder with my code below.  It opens the Railroad Plans folder and lists multiple PDF's.  It quit working and no gives me a Error 403 Forbidden.  It works great on my local c: drive?? <li><a href="Documents/Railroad Plans/" class="subtitles"><strong>Map Link</strong></a></li> Any help is much appreciated/ Z

I'm building a very simple web page in my web development class. I use a windows 10 laptop instead of the Macintosh computers provided in the lab. The exact code that works on the macs doesn't run correctly on mine. The issue is with the container div. My computer blew up. I have still been using Dreamweaver 4 with Dreamwers 8 ugrade. I have seial numbers for both but when I install, it take the upgrade but when I try to enter the Dreamweaver 4 serial number, it doesn't work. Ideas? Need to make this work somehow. Thank you. Jim Atkinson

Hi. I just installed DW 2021 on Win 10 and am familiarizing myself with the basic interface. I used the "Find" feature once. After that the "Find" dialog box does not display and I cannot do a new find. Any idea what this is? Thanks.

Hello. Problem number one:I'm trying to add a link to 2 CTAs in dreamweaver but they just do not work: The message on 53 and 54 line is "Special characters must be escaped [<]" and "Tag must be paired , no start tag [</a>]". I've tried to replace it but it does not work. Problem number two:  Same thing, "Special characters must be escaped [<]"  Problem number three:  Photo of line 97: Could someone help me on this, please? Thanks!
