Feature Requests

A very common process for me is masking out my boom mic. A lot of the video producers I work with like to have a lot of headroom in their interview shots and I like to have high quality audio from my boom mic. So my process is recording a few seconds without the mic in frame at the head of the interview, putting the boom in for the interview, exporting a jpg of the first frame out to photoshop and then masking in the area at the top that covers the mic, saving that psd and importing back to premiere to use as a cover for the boom. The few times I've forgotten to make the frame without the boom in, I will use content aware fill in photoshop. This is a little labor intensive if I have multiple interview setups for a vox pop that's a quick turn. My feature request is a content aware fill feature inside of premiere, so I don't have to go throught this rigamarole.

I'm in a pool of 12 editors, and we desperately would like to have "Nulls" in Premiere like they have in After Effects.

I often find myself adjusting my keyframes in the exact same way over and over. It'd be cool if we could have keyframe interpolation presets to not have to manually repeat a simple task over and over again.

Hello, I am trying to improve a workflow for our editors and was wondering about a functionality that is standard in Avid but is eluding me in Premiere.  Is there a way to be able to matchframe to a clip that is now synced to the sound recordist audio instead of the original camera source audio?  Basically I have the clips all synced up in the daymaster, and the new higher quality audio is underneath in the timeline, of course then if I match frame to the original clip it will only match to the original clip which of course does not have the higher quality audio attached to it.  I am not interested in using the merge clips function as that often becomes hazardous for the online later.  In Avid I would just create subclips from the newly synced video and audio and create the Daymaster timeline from those and this would be no problem.  Any ideas?  Thank you!Theo

In our setup the journalist is logging the diffrent camera angles and he set marker.Starting editing we prepare are multicam-timeline where the markers are not visible anymore. Would be very helpful when you can see the marker in your editing timeline.Work around is to cut in the diffrent angels in tracks over the multicam clip but this don't make sense at all.

Every sequence remembers it's own save location but this is massively slowing down our workflow. When we have to export several sequences to a new version folder we need to re-navigate after each export. I don't see why anyone would like to keep the locations unique to each sequence. If there is, please make this a user preference because pretty much everywhere else, even within Premiere (XML etc) it just works as all other software.

Hi Adobe is your team considering a more smart and eficient way to remove blemishes with AI in video. apps on the app store are clunky and outratoeously expensive but make editors look BAD when the everday consumer quickly beautifies there face, the iphone may not have the quality of a profressional camera, but it sure [cursing removed] makes them look gorgeous. Us editors have to make 5, 10, 15 different masks, track them and then do guess and check work to remove them in AE or Premiere Pro. Its an insane waste of time in todays world. please include some better video features.

On the daily I find myself in the Effect Controls panel, messing with keyframe handles in the graph editor for temporal interpolation trying to get nice ease ins and outs (the default Ease in/ease out settings often feel too basic). In AE there is a right click > "keyframe velocity" ... that gives me the option to put in the specific values I like. I'd love if there were something like this for Premiere — it would make things a lot simpler for me! Being able to dial in exact values and copy/paste them from one keyframe to another, or even create my own presets...???

I use transcriptions to export a txt, then print to create a paper edit with time code. When conforming the edits on the timeline with multiple clips, timecode becomes meaningless when cutting or rearranging. If clip names were added to the time code, then this would be easier.

It would be handy if you could label a whole video/audio track so that you wouldn't have to label/relabel your clips every time you move it up or down a track. This would improve workflow for some people who are visually editing/organizing clips as they don't have to keep checking which color is which track.The tracks would obviously stay like they are now but you could right click on the track you'd like to label/color and change it via the "Customize..." option.

Hi guys! I usually have to check my transcription before starting the text based editing. After correcting one text of the transcription, I can just press esc and scroll the text cursor (the one that controls the timeline pin) with the arrows to find the next part I want to correct. And that's great!But after that I have to eather click on the pencil in the top of the text tab or double click the text to edit the content again.As silly as it sounds, it would be great not having to get my mouse back to get into the text editing layer.I could not find any option that would lead to that function in the keyboard shotcuts menu, at least in PT-BR. Thanks in advance. Thats my first idea here in this channel, sorry if I'm using it wrong.

oh why oh why isnt there an option to add a keyboard shortcut to switch event on the timeline to TIME REMAPPING without having to click through the tiny FX menu for every single one... it can become horrendously tedious especially for b-roll based montage where there could be hundreds of tiny clips. i have already a few days worth of my life just clicking that menu again and again and again... Thanx for listening.

This came from this post here. It would be great to be able to modify audio in a similar way as video using the Interpret Footage function. ("Footage", after all, has come to mean the media we deal with - whether it be audio or video.) Thus, I am suggesting / requesting the ability to use Modify > Interpret Footage on audio files to conform them (or otherwise effect "pull up" or "pull down" speed changes without resampling before they hit the timeline). This would mean an ability to change a frame rate assigned in the dialog to a new frame rate - meaning I could take a 48kHz file and designate or assign it as "24fps" (for these purposes) in the dialog so that I could request the file be interpretted ("conformed", "pulled down", etc.) to "23.98fps". The file would then appear in the project panel as 47.952kHz (in the same way that a 24fps video file appears as 23.98fps in the project panel after a similar Interpret Footage operation). The frame rates don't need to

This has been asked a few times on this forum and it seems like most people just don't understand the issue.The specific use case is this: I'm an editor who works with a lot of video game footage. Many video games are built out of pixel art. Chunky pixels are a stylistic choice. When you punch-in to this footage in Premiere (which one might often to when cutting a trailer, for impact etc), the pixel art becomes a blurry mess, because Premiere's default (and unchangable) Lanczos scaling algorithm tries to blend the adjacent pixels together (which works great for live-action footage, but is absolutely awful for pixel art).If you don't understand why anyone would choose nearest neighbour scaling over bilinear/bicubic/Lanczos, please refrain from replying.Nearest neighbour scaling preserves the sharpness of pixel art. Mr and Mrs Adobe.I am an experienced user on video editing but the basic set up for Adobe Premier Pro is a disaster.There are simply so many options available that you can't even find the simple things.For over a week I'm fighting to keep the basic lay out to just cut, delete, crop and move a simple video.When you search You-Tube for help you have to fight through a ton of stuff before you find the solution.......if even given.For example: You start up the program and there should be a button "New project with basic lay-out."Once you pushed that button you get a timelime to drag your video in. You get the play and skip to next scene buttons etc. First thing I'm missing is a simple trash button.I cut a video and a part of that is to delete. Trash Can button is very handy.The cut is always two moves: Select the cutter and bring to the timeline. Why? Videos shot vertically on DSLR cameras are recorded as 16:9 ratio. When imported to premiere, they display 90degrees sideways. There needs to be a way to simply batch rotate these videos 90 degrees to 9:16 ratio.

I, like many others, am deeply disappointed in the lack of support for white balance adjustment on Apple ProRes RAW footage in Premiere Pro. It’s perplexing that such an essential feature is still missing. Many of us have been patiently waiting, but our patience is wearing thin. I would love for an "Analyze All" option in Premiere Pro.  There are often times when I receive projects from another editor, and I have to go through the timeline to find every warp stabilized clip and re-analyze them individually.  I'm sure there's a way this could be done with one click.

Problem: I have 100+ png files numbered 1 -100+ in the list view they are in order, but when I go to icon view they are 1, 10, 11, 12 then 2, 20 etc. any way to fix thi?

Everytime i want to use bullet points, i have to insert them manually with alt+7. However my laptop itself does not have numpad, so I have to use screen keyboard to make it work. This is such an insuffient way to add bullet point. Please add more options to design a text, add bullet points. Just give us the same possibilities as in illustrator/indesign.

Hi There, Seeing as the old new document and export windows won't be coming back in any form, could frustrations raised with regard to these new windows get fixed? Some of these issues break UX basics like increasing mouse work and clicks, breaking consistency with the OS, and breaking consistency between other Adobe apps - which makes no sense seeing as many of us use multiple Adobe apps each day. NEW DOCUMENT WINDOW  1.Overall, this screen conflates project management (file name and location) with footage import, and 90% of the window is taken up with sample footage? File management and file discipline is mission critical, it's often a source of messy work and frustration with inexperienced staff. So hiding mission critial file management within an extra drop-down (that also interfares with the time thumb on sample footage - see screenshot) is crazy sorry. Mission critical stuff shouldn't require more mouse work and clicks to access. 2.Custom U

Hithat is a small thing, but an annoying and time-consuming extra step that could be avoidedWhen you set IN/OUT markers on Sequence and decide to render it in media encoder - you need to remember to repeat this setting one more time in the media encoder, + open an extra window to do so.every single timeI work mostly in AE and while at work I'm extracting from Pr multiple new fragments I often forget to switch render region to "IN/OUT" in media encoder which cost me render time and is irritating In my opinion, it should be the opposite wayIF > marker IN/OUT set on Timeline > then default render region is > IN/OUT markersand intervention from the user side, only if he decides to override his previous decision to set up in. out markers dose it sound more logical? Thank you 🙂

Et maintenant avec la dernière version de Davici ils ont intégré la fonction audio avec AI, ce serait bien s'il y avait la même chose.   Hello I asked some time ago about the timeline the waveform that changes when you modify it as on Davici. And now with the latest version of Davici they've integrated the audio function with AI, it would be nice if there was the same thing.
