Hi.I have created a plugin for Framemaker2020(64bit version) using visual studio 2019.When I start the debug, the message "FrameMaker.pdb is not load" is shown. Where is the FrameMaker.pdb file?What should I do for this message? Please give me some advice.Thanks.

How can I resize all images of FrameMaker Document altogether?

I am editing and republishing a book that was originally done in FrameMaker. I need to fix the left and right margins throughout the book (both the left and right side pages). How do I edit the master pages to fix these margins? Is the master pages the place to do this?I will be so grateful for your help!

I am using FrameMaker 2019, version 15.0.6.956.My Table of Figures is showing five "phantom figures," and I can't figure out why. (It also has Figs. 2 and 3 out of order ... I'm not sure why that is, either.)The table references all instances of the FigureCaption style. I only have four instances of FigureCaption in Section 11 (see attachment), including in hidden conditional text.The text of this section was copied and pasted from another FrameMaker document, so I'm wondering if there are some hidden tags in there somewhere. I can't find them though ... but it's possible I'm not looking in the right place, or using the right approach. Would appreciate any advice. 

I am saving a FrameMaker document to PDF and I get this message at the Console:   The "Times" Font is not available."Times New Roman" will be used in this session.   It is causing the document to reflow. The font is not Times or Times New Roman but Calibri. Querying the properties in FrameMaker and Acrobat show that they are both Calibri 9 point. I have seen this message in the past, but the reflow is a big problem for this project. Is there a setting that will give me an exact FrameMaker to PDF text match?

How to minimize line Spacing between two paragraph in Adobe Framamaker? 

Hi All,I am using Adobe FrameMaker 2020 (version ) on Parallels VM. The application crashes every time I reach the last page of any document. Earlier, it crashed when I just opened any file. I couldn't fix it, I reinstalled windows and now it can at least open the files, and I can make changes. However, it still crashes upon scrolling to the last page of any FM file. Any solution on how to fix this? This error popup is displayed jus before the application quits - 16004. 

Hi, I'm an adjunct lecturer at my local community college and need to update my book which was written ages ago using FM7.[12]? on a WinXP Pro SP3 PC. Fast-forward to today where I have a Mac and university has an Adobe subscription that does *not* come with FM. Some questions:Is there a way to request FM as part of my college's subscription? And if not...Is there a perpetual license I can purchase with an edu discount? And if not...I don't prefer a subscription, but if I don't have a choice, what's the edu annual subscription dues?Will modern FM on a Mac still be able to read FM7.x .FM files created on a PC? I remember "the good ol' days" when I could move .FM files b/w a PC, Mac, and Sun Micro workstation and be able to edit at-will on any machine then switch to another machine without any issues whatsoever!

Greetings,I changed the maker.ini file some time ago to paste as plain text as first priority. Works fine when pasting from external sources and is a great feature when working with Microsoft Office or other sources.However, I noted that when pasting from the active FM document it picks up the paragraph and character formats. Now, it may be that I have just not noted this behaviour before (or that I'm really absent-minded) - can anyone confirm that it is expected?Best regards,Mats

I am trying to keep the heading increased by 1 but it is increasing by 2. Can someone explains how to fix this. I am attaching the screenshot for reference.

It pulls texts from the text resource database for the machines we build (sql) into FrameMaker variables.Since recently the script stops with the following error message:     The error is clear to understand, the question is "why can that variable suddenly not be found any longer?".I appreciate any guesses about the reason of this behaviour. The only thing that has changed shortly before was a Windows update. Could that be the reason? Best regards,Lutz

Since at least FM-6 there is the following command in fminit/cmds.cfg:   <Command YankKillBuffer <Label Yank Kill Buffer> <KeySequence \!eY> <Definition \x32C> <Mode All>>   In Shlomo Perets' early enhanced tool bars there even was a button for this function. He describes this command as Yank (retrieve) erase buffer). But I do not have a clue any more what this command is doing. To yank means 'pull out' (at least by Deepl) ► Does a graying user still know what this could be?

Dear friends, Some of you may be old enough to remember... I have all application icons of FM down to version 2 - but still missing is the very first application icon. Has anybody an idea about it's appearance or even a picture of it?

Hi Team,   I need content in TOC hierarchy to be present in PDF book marks panel and i tries the settings in FM couldn't get the expected result (There is a hierarchy mismatch between TOC & Bookmarks in final PDF). Need your ideas to add TOC styles in bookmark section. How to add TOC styles in File>Print book>Bookmarks>Paragraphs. i tried with "heading styles in Frame maker paragraph" which generated the bookmarks with the hierarchy level mismatch (same tree structure not came in final PDF)   If i include TOC styles i can take easily generate bookmarks with TOC structure.   For more details please refer the attached screenshots   Kindly support !

Hi There,I am currently trying to add a thin grey horizontal line below the headings in my document. I am able to use the "Frame Below Pgf" option in the paragraph designer to add a black line, but I cannot for the life of me figure out how to edit the colour or weight of the added line.Would anybody be able to point me in the right direction where I can edit the available lines?Thanks in advance!

Hi all,  I'm having a problem with installed fsl scripts not re-loading in the FrameScript menu when FrameMaker restarts. The console message is "FrameScript: Error Processing Install Command ERRCODE(-2406)." Any guidance on this? FrameMaker 16.0.0.754FrameScript 7.0R1p25Windows 10 Enterprise 

On Win11 FM16.0.4.1062 execution of a script needs 50 times as long as other set-ups . On Win-10 the very same FM-version behaves (execution time of script ≤ 10 seconds) Other tests with the very saame script on Win11 (FM-14.0.4.511, FM-17.0.2.431) also execute the script within ≤ 10 seconds. ► What the heck is going on here?   Edit 2023-08-15 I have tested again after changes of the redsistributable C++ modules [Adobe support for another problem]. In FM-16 the script execution takes 6 min, while in FM-17 and even FM-14 it takes about 5 seconds.During execution the cpu load oszillates between 0 and 1% (including all activities of the system)...

For FM-17.0.2.431: File » Script » New Script opens ESTK, but FM-17 is not listed: However, with File » Script » Run a script can be run. ► what the heck is this? Have filed this as FRMAKER-13733

I have constant battle with FrameMaker crashing with Internal Error 17024. The files can be opened one day, worked on and saved without any issues. The next day, opening the same file results in the Internal Error. I have uninstalled/reinstalled FM2022 numerous times for it only to work for a few days before the error starts again. And it's all files, not just specific ones. I have noticed that the error only occurs when I'm using Structured FrameMaker. If I switch to 'normal' FrameMaker and open the same files, no error occurs (other than the warning about opening a structured file in unstructured mode.)  Opening backup files (.backup.mf) or backup copies of the files makes no difference. I've also moved all the FM files (including images) to a local external HDD to elimiate network environment issues. I'm at a point where I'm pulling my hair out in frustration.Because I can't open a single file in FM2022, is there a way to bulk-convert all files back to FM2020? Note I can't
